O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
- Éternel, j'ai entendu ce que tu as annoncé, je suis saisi de crainte. Accomplis ton oeuvre dans le cours des années, ô Éternel! Dans le cours des années manifeste-la! Mais dans ta colère souviens-toi de tes compassions! God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.

And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
- C'est comme l'éclat de la lumière; Des rayons partent de sa main; Là réside sa force. (Ⅱ) - καὶ φέγγος αὐτου̃ ὡς φω̃ς ἔσται κέρατα ἐν χερσὶν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἔθετο ἀγάπησιν κραταιὰν ἰσχύος αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Splendor ejus ut lux erit,/ cornua in manibus ejus :/ ibi abscondita est fortitudo ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃3 ונגה[C][c] כאור תהיה קרנים מידו לו ושם חביון עזה[Q][q] (Ⅴ)

Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.

He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.
- Il s'arrête, et de l'oeil il mesure la terre; Il regarde, et il fait trembler les nations; Les montagnes éternelles se brisent, Les collines antiques s'abaissent; Les sentiers d'autrefois s'ouvrent devant lui. (Ⅱ) - ἔστη καὶ ἐσαλεύθη ἡ γη̃ ἐπέβλεψεν καὶ διετάκη ἔθνη διεθρύβη τὰ ὄρη βία̨ ἐτάκησαν βουνοὶ αἰώνιοι (Ⅲ) - Stetit, et mensus est terram ;/ aspexit, et dissolvit gentes,/ et contriti sunt montes sæculi :/ incurvati sunt colles mundi ab itineribus æternitatis ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃3 עמד וימדד ארץ ראה ויתר גוים ויתפצצו הררי עד שחו גבעות עולם הליכות עולם לו (Ⅴ)

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.
- Je vois dans la détresse les tentes de l'Éthiopie, Et les tentes du pays de Madian sont dans l'épouvante. (Ⅱ) - πορείας αἰωνίας αὐτου̃ ἀντὶ κόπων εἰ̃δον σκηνώματα Αἰθιόπων πτοηθήσονται καὶ αἱ σκηναὶ γη̃ς Μαδιαμ (Ⅲ) - Pro iniquitate vidi tentoria Æthiopiæ ;/ turbabuntur pelles terræ Madian./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃3 תחת און ראיתי אהלי כושן ירגזון יריעות ארץ מדין ס (Ⅴ)

Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?
- L'Éternel est-il irrité contre les fleuves? Est-ce contre les fleuves que s'enflamme ta colère, Contre la mer que se répand ta fureur, Pour que tu sois monté sur tes chevaux, Sur ton char de victoire? (Ⅱ) - μὴ ἐν ποταμοι̃ς ὠργίσθης κύριε ἢ ἐν ποταμοι̃ς ὁ θυμός σου ἢ ἐν θαλάσση̨ τὸ ὅρμημά σου ὅτι ἐπιβήση̨ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἵππους σου καὶ ἡ ἱππασία σου σωτηρία (Ⅲ) - Numquid in fluminibus iratus es, Domine ?/ aut in fluminibus furor tuus ?/ vel in mari indignatio tua ?/ Qui ascendes super equos tuos, et quadrigæ tuæ salvatio./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃3 הבנהרים חרה יהוה אם בנהרים אפך אם בים עברתך כי תרכב על סוסיך מרכבתיך ישועה (Ⅴ)

Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.
- Ton arc est mis à nu; Les malédictions sont les traits de ta parole... Pause. Tu fends la terre pour donner cours aux fleuves. (Ⅱ) - ἐντείνων ἐντενει̃ς τὸ τόξον σου ἐπὶ τὰ σκη̃πτρα λέγει κύριος διάψαλμα ποταμω̃ν ῥαγήσεται γη̃ (Ⅲ) - Suscitans suscitabis arcum tuum,/ juramenta tribubus quæ locutus es ;/ fluvios scindes terræ./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃3 עריה תעור קשתך שבעות מטות אמר סלה נהרות תבקע ארץ (Ⅴ)

The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
- A ton aspect, les montagnes tremblent; Des torrents d'eau se précipitent; L'abîme fait entendre sa voix, Il lève ses mains en haut. (Ⅱ) - ὄψονταί σε καὶ ὠδινήσουσιν λαοί σκορπίζων ὕδατα πορείας αὐτου̃ ἔδωκεν ἡ ἄβυσσος φωνὴν αὐτη̃ς ὕψος φαντασίας αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Viderunt te, et doluerunt montes ;/ gurges aquarum transiit :/ dedit abyssus vocem suam ;/ altitudo manus suas levavit./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃3 ראוך יחילו הרים זרם מים עבר נתן תהום קולו רום ידיהו נשא (Ⅴ)

The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
- Le soleil et la lune s'arrêtent dans leur demeure, A la lumière de tes flèches qui partent, A la clarté de ta lance qui brille. (Ⅱ) - ἐπήρθη ὁ ἥλιος καὶ ἡ σελήνη ἔστη ἐν τη̨̃ τάξει αὐτη̃ς εἰς φω̃ς βολίδες σου πορεύσονται εἰς φέγγος ἀστραπη̃ς ὅπλων σου (Ⅲ) - Sol et luna steterunt in habitaculo suo :/ in luce sagittarum tuarum ibunt,/ in splendore fulgurantis hastæ tuæ./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃3 שמש ירח עמד זבלה לאור חציך יהלכו לנגה ברק חניתך (Ⅴ)

Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
- Tu parcours la terre dans ta fureur, Tu écrases les nations dans ta colère. (Ⅱ) - ἐν ἀπειλη̨̃ ὀλιγώσεις γη̃ν καὶ ἐν θυμω̨̃ κατάξεις ἔθνη (Ⅲ) - In fremitu conculcabis terram ;/ in furore obstupefacies gentes./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃3 בזעם תצעד ארץ באף תדוש גוים (Ⅴ)

Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.
- Tu sors pour délivrer ton peuple, Pour délivrer ton oint; Tu brises le faîte de la maison du méchant, Tu la détruis de fond en comble. Pause. (Ⅱ) - ἐξη̃λθες εἰς σωτηρίαν λαου̃ σου του̃ σω̃σαι τοὺς χριστούς σου ἔβαλες εἰς κεφαλὰς ἀνόμων θάνατον ἐξήγειρας δεσμοὺς ἕως τραχήλου διάψαλμα (Ⅲ) - Egressus es in salutem populi tui,/ in salutem cum christo tuo :/ percussisti caput de domo impii,/ denudasti fundamentum ejus usque ad collum./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃3 יצאת לישע עמך לישע את משיחך מחצת ראש מבית רשע ערות יסוד עד צואר סלה פ (Ⅴ)

Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.
- Tu perces de tes traits la tête de ses chefs, Qui se précipitent comme la tempête pour me disperser, Poussant des cris de joie, Comme s'ils dévoraient déjà le malheureux dans leur repaire. (Ⅱ) - διέκοψας ἐν ἐκστάσει κεφαλὰς δυναστω̃ν σεισθήσονται ἐν αὐτη̨̃ διανοίξουσιν χαλινοὺς αὐτω̃ν ὡς ἔσθων πτωχὸς λάθρα̨ (Ⅲ) - Maledixisti sceptris ejus,/ capiti bellatorum ejus,/ venientibus ut turbo ad dispergendum me :/ exsultatio eorum, sicut ejus qui devorat pauperem in abscondito./ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃3 נקבת במטיו ראש *פרזו **פרזיו יסערו להפיצני עליצתם כמו לאכל עני במסתר (Ⅴ)

Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.
- Avec tes chevaux tu foules la mer, La boue des grandes eaux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπεβίβασας εἰς θάλασσαν τοὺς ἵππους σου ταράσσοντας ὕδωρ πολύ (Ⅲ) - Viam fecisti in mari equis tuis,/ in luto aquarum multarum./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃3 דרכת בים סוסיך חמר מים רבים (Ⅴ)

When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
- J'ai entendu... Et mes entrailles sont émues. A cette voix, mes lèvres frémissent, Mes os se consument, Et mes genoux chancellent: En silence je dois attendre le jour de la détresse, Le jour où l'oppresseur marchera contre le peuple. (Ⅱ) - ἐφυλαξάμην καὶ ἐπτοήθη ἡ κοιλία μου ἀπὸ φωνη̃ς προσευχη̃ς χειλέων μου καὶ εἰση̃λθεν τρόμος εἰς τὰ ὀστα̃ μου καὶ ὑποκάτωθέν μου ἐταράχθη ἡ ἕξις μου ἀναπαύσομαι ἐν ἡμέρα̨ θλίψεως του̃ ἀναβη̃ναι εἰς λαὸν παροικίας μου (Ⅲ) - Audivi, et conturbatus est venter meus ;/ a voce contremuerunt labia mea./ Ingrediatur putredo in ossibus meis,/ et subter me scateat :/ ut requiescam in die tribulationis,/ ut ascendam ad populum accinctum nostrum./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃3 שמעתי ותרגז בטני לקול צללו שפתי יבוא רקב בעצמי ותחתי ארגז אשר אנוח ליום צרה לעלות לעם יגודנו (Ⅴ)

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
- Car le figuier ne fleurira pas, La vigne ne produira rien, Le fruit de l'olivier manquera, Les champs ne donneront pas de nourriture; Les brebis disparaîtront du pâturage, Et il n'y aura plus de boeufs dans les étables. (Ⅱ) - διότι συκη̃ οὐ καρποφορήσει καὶ οὐκ ἔσται γενήματα ἐν ται̃ς ἀμπέλοις ψεύσεται ἔργον ἐλαίας καὶ τὰ πεδία οὐ ποιήσει βρω̃σιν ἐξέλιπον ἀπὸ βρώσεως πρόβατα καὶ οὐχ ὑπάρχουσιν βόες ἐπὶ φάτναις (Ⅲ) - Ficus enim non florebit,/ et non erit germen in vineis ;/ mentietur opus olivæ,/ et arva non afferent cibum :/ abscindetur de ovili pecus,/ et non erit armentum in præsepibus./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃3 כי תאנה לא תפרח ואין יבול בגפנים כחש מעשה זית ושדמות לא עשה אכל גזר ממכלה צאן ואין בקר ברפתים (Ⅴ)

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
- Toutefois, je veux me réjouir en l'Éternel, Je veux me réjouir dans le Dieu de mon salut. (Ⅱ) - ἐγὼ δὲ ἐν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἀγαλλιάσομαι χαρήσομαι ἐπὶ τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ τω̨̃ σωτη̃ρί μου (Ⅲ) - Ego autem in Domino gaudebo ;/ et exsultabo in Deo Jesu meo./ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃3 ואני ביהוה אעלוזה אגילה באלהי ישעי (Ⅴ)

The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
- L'Éternel, le Seigneur, est ma force; Il rend mes pieds semblables à ceux des biches, Et il me fait marcher sur mes lieux élevés. Au chefs des chantres. Avec instruments à cordes. (Ⅱ) - κύριος ὁ θεὸς δύναμίς μου καὶ τάξει τοὺς πόδας μου εἰς συντέλειαν ἐπὶ τὰ ὑψηλὰ ἐπιβιβα̨̃ με του̃ νικη̃σαι ἐν τη̨̃ ὠ̨δη̨̃ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Deus Dominus fortitudo mea,/ et ponet pedes meos quasi cervorum :/ et super excelsa mea deducet me/ victor in psalmis canentem.] (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃3 יהוה[Q][n][p] אדני חילי וישם רגלי כאילות ועל במותי ידרכני למנצח בנגינותי (Ⅴ)
