Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
- Voici, j'enverrai mon messager; Il préparera le chemin devant moi. Et soudain entrera dans son temple le Seigneur que vous cherchez; Et le messager de l'alliance que vous désirez, voici, il vient, Dit l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω τὸν ἄγγελόν μου καὶ ἐπιβλέψεται ὁδὸν πρὸ προσώπου μου καὶ ἐξαίφνης ἥξει εἰς τὸν ναὸν ἑαυτου̃ κύριος ὃν ὑμει̃ς ζητει̃τε καὶ ὁ ἄγγελος τη̃ς διαθήκης ὃν ὑμει̃ς θέλετε ἰδοὺ ἔρχεται λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (Ⅲ) - Ecce ego mitto angelum meum, et præparabit viam ante faciem meam : et statim veniet ad templum suum Dominator quem vos quæritis, et angelus testamenti quem vos vultis. Ecce venit, dicit Dominus exercituum. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃3 הנני שלח מלאכי ופנה דרך לפני ופתאם יבוא אל היכלו האדון אשר אתם מבקשים ומלאך הברית אשר אתם חפצים הנה בא אמר יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
- Qui pourra soutenir le jour de sa venue? Qui restera debout quand il paraîtra? Car il sera comme le feu du fondeur, Comme la potasse des foulons. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τίς ὑπομενει̃ ἡμέραν εἰσόδου αὐτου̃ ἢ τίς ὑποστήσεται ἐν τη̨̃ ὀπτασία̨ αὐτου̃ διότι αὐτὸς εἰσπορεύεται ὡς πυ̃ρ χωνευτηρίου καὶ ὡς πόα πλυνόντων (Ⅲ) - Et quis poterit cogitare diem adventus ejus, et quis stabit ad videndum eum ? ipse enim quasi ignis conflans, et quasi herba fullonum : (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃3 ומי מכלכל את יום בואו ומי העמד בהראותו כי הוא כאש מצרף וכברית מכבסים (Ⅴ)

And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
- Il s'assiéra, fondra et purifiera l'argent; Il purifiera les fils de Lévi, Il les épurera comme on épure l'or et l'argent, Et ils présenteront à l'Éternel des offrandes avec justice. (Ⅱ) - καὶ καθιει̃ται χωνεύων καὶ καθαρίζων ὡς τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ὡς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ καθαρίσει τοὺς υἱοὺς Λευι καὶ χεει̃ αὐτοὺς ὡς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ ὡς τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ἔσονται τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ προσάγοντες θυσίαν ἐν δικαιοσύνη̨ (Ⅲ) - et sedebit conflans, et emundans argentum : et purgabit filios Levi, et colabit eos quasi aurum et quasi argentum, et erunt Domino offerentes sacrificia in justitia. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃3 וישב מצרף ומטהר כסף וטהר את בני לוי וזקק אתם כזהב וככסף והיו ליהוה מגישי מנחה בצדקה (Ⅴ)

Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
- Alors l'offrande de Juda et de Jérusalem sera agréable à l'Éternel, Comme aux anciens jours, comme aux années d'autrefois. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀρέσει τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ θυσία Ιουδα καὶ Ιερουσαλημ καθὼς αἱ ἡμέραι του̃ αἰω̃νος καὶ καθὼς τὰ ἔτη τὰ ἔμπροσθεν (Ⅲ) - Et placebit Domino sacrificium Juda et Jerusalem, sicut dies sæculi, et sicut anni antiqui. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃3 וערבה ליהוה מנחת יהודה וירושלם כימי עולם וכשנים קדמניות (Ⅴ)

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
- Je m'approcherai de vous pour le jugement, Et je me hâterai de témoigner contre les enchanteurs et les adultères, Contre ceux qui jurent faussement, Contre ceux qui retiennent le salaire du mercenaire, Qui oppriment la veuve et l'orphelin, Qui font tort à l'étranger, et ne me craignent pas, Dit l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ) - καὶ προσάξω πρὸς ὑμα̃ς ἐν κρίσει καὶ ἔσομαι μάρτυς ταχὺς ἐπὶ τὰς φαρμακοὺς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς μοιχαλίδας καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀμνύοντας τω̨̃ ὀνόματί μου ἐπὶ ψεύδει καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀποστερου̃ντας μισθὸν μισθωτου̃ καὶ τοὺς καταδυναστεύοντας χήραν καὶ τοὺς κονδυλίζοντας ὀρφανοὺς καὶ τοὺς ἐκκλίνοντας κρίσιν προσηλύτου καὶ τοὺς μὴ φοβουμένους με λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (Ⅲ) - Et accedam ad vos in judicio, et ero testis velox maleficis, et adulteris, et perjuris, et qui calumniantur mercedem mercenarii, viduas et pupillos, et opprimunt peregrinum, nec timuerunt me, dicit Dominus exercituum. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃3 וקרבתי אליכם למשפט והייתי עד ממהר במכשפים ובמנאפים ובנשבעים לשקר ובעשקי שכר שכיר אלמנה ויתום ומטי גר ולא יראוני אמר יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
- Car je suis l'Éternel, je ne change pas; Et vous, enfants de Jacob, vous n'avez pas été consumés. (Ⅱ) - διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμω̃ν καὶ οὐκ ἠλλοίωμαι καὶ ὑμει̃ς υἱοὶ Ιακωβ οὐκ ἀπέχεσθε (Ⅲ) - Ego enim Dominus, et non mutor : et vos filii Jacob, non estis consumpti. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃3 כי אני יהוה לא שניתי ואתם בני יעקב לא כליתם (Ⅴ)

Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
- Depuis le temps de vos pères, vous vous êtes écartés de mes ordonnances, Vous ne les avez point observées. Revenez à moi, et je reviendrai à vous, dit l'Éternel des armées. Et vous dites: En quoi devons-nous revenir? (Ⅱ) - ἀπὸ τω̃ν ἀδικιω̃ν τω̃ν πατέρων ὑμω̃ν ἐξεκλίνατε νόμιμά μου καὶ οὐκ ἐφυλάξασθε ἐπιστρέψατε πρός με καὶ ἐπιστραφήσομαι πρὸς ὑμα̃ς λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ εἴπατε ἐν τίνι ἐπιστρέψωμεν (Ⅲ) - A diebus enim patrum vestrorum recessistis a legitimis meis, et non custodistis : revertimini ad me, et revertar ad vos, dicit Dominus exercituum. Et dixistis : In quo revertemur ? (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃3 למימי אבתיכם סרתם מחקי ולא שמרתם שובו אלי ואשובה אליכם אמר יהוה צבאות ואמרתם במה נשוב (Ⅴ)

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
- Un homme trompe-t-il Dieu? Car vous me trompez, Et vous dites: En quoi t'avons-nous trompé? Dans les dîmes et les offrandes. (Ⅱ) - εἰ πτερνιει̃ ἄνθρωπος θεόν διότι ὑμει̃ς πτερνίζετέ με καὶ ἐρει̃τε ἐν τίνι ἐπτερνίκαμέν σε ὅτι τὰ ἐπιδέκατα καὶ αἱ ἀπαρχαὶ μεθ' ὑμω̃ν εἰσιν (Ⅲ) - Si affliget homo Deum, quia vos configitis me ? Et dixistis : In quo configimus te ? In decimis et in primitiis. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃3 היקבע אדם אלהים כי אתם קבעים אתי ואמרתם במה קבענוך המעשר והתרומה (Ⅴ)

Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
- Vous êtes frappés par la malédiction, Et vous me trompez, La nation tout entière! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀποβλέποντες ὑμει̃ς ἀποβλέπετε καὶ ἐμὲ ὑμει̃ς πτερνίζετε τὸ ἔθνος συνετελέσθη (Ⅲ) - Et in penuria vos maledicti estis, et me vos configitis gens tota. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃3 במארה אתם נארים ואתי אתם קבעים הגוי כלו (Ⅴ)

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
- Apportez à la maison du trésor toutes les dîmes, Afin qu'il y ait de la nourriture dans ma maison; Mettez-moi de la sorte à l'épreuve, Dit l'Éternel des armées. Et vous verrez si je n'ouvre pas pour vous les écluses des cieux, Si je ne répands pas sur vous la bénédiction en abondance. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰσηνέγκατε πάντα τὰ ἐκφόρια εἰς τοὺς θησαυρούς καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ ἔσται ἡ διαρπαγὴ αὐτου̃ ἐπισκέψασθε δὴ ἐν τούτω̨ λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐὰν μὴ ἀνοίξω ὑμι̃ν τοὺς καταρράκτας του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ ἐκχεω̃ ὑμι̃ν τὴν εὐλογίαν μου ἕως του̃ ἱκανωθη̃ναι (Ⅲ) - Inferte omnem decimam in horreum, et sit cibus in domo mea : et probate me super hoc, dicit Dominus : si non aperuero vobis cataractas cæli, et effudero vobis benedictionem usque ad abundantiam : (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃3 הביאו את כל המעשר אל בית האוצר ויהי טרף בביתי ובחנוני נא בזאת אמר יהוה צבאות אם לא אפתח לכם את ארבות השמים והריקתי לכם ברכה עד בלי די (Ⅴ)

And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
- Pour vous je menacerai celui qui dévore, Et il ne vous détruira pas les fruits de la terre, Et la vigne ne sera pas stérile dans vos campagnes, Dit l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ) - καὶ διαστελω̃ ὑμι̃ν εἰς βρω̃σιν καὶ οὐ μὴ διαφθείρω ὑμω̃ν τὸν καρπὸν τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀσθενήση̨ ὑμω̃ν ἡ ἄμπελος ἡ ἐν τω̨̃ ἀγρω̨̃ λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (Ⅲ) - et increpabo pro vobis devorantem, et non corrumpet fructum terræ vestræ, nec erit sterilis vinea in agro, dicit Dominus exercituum. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃3 וגערתי לכם באכל ולא ישחת לכם את פרי האדמה ולא תשכל לכם הגפן בשדה אמר יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
- Toutes les nations vous diront heureux, Car vous serez un pays de délices, Dit l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ) - καὶ μακαριου̃σιν ὑμα̃ς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη διότι ἔσεσθε ὑμει̃ς γη̃ θελητή λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (Ⅲ) - Et beatos vos dicent omnes gentes : eritis enim vos terra desiderabilis, dicit Dominus exercituum. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃3 ואשרו אתכם כל הגוים כי תהיו אתם ארץ חפץ אמר יהוה צבאות ס (Ⅴ)

Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
- Vos paroles sont rudes contre moi, dit l'Éternel. Et vous dites: Qu'avons-nous dit contre toi? (Ⅱ) - ἐβαρύνατε ἐπ' ἐμὲ τοὺς λόγους ὑμω̃ν λέγει κύριος καὶ εἴπατε ἐν τίνι κατελαλήσαμεν κατὰ σου̃ (Ⅲ) - Invaluerunt super me verba vestra, dicit Dominus. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃3 חזקו עלי דבריכם אמר יהוה ואמרתם מה נדברנו עליך (Ⅴ)

Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
- Vous avez dit: C'est en vain que l'on sert Dieu; Qu'avons-nous gagné à observer ses préceptes, Et à marcher avec tristesse A cause de l'Éternel des armées? (Ⅱ) - εἴπατε μάταιος ὁ δουλεύων θεω̨̃ καὶ τί πλέον ὅτι ἐφυλάξαμεν τὰ φυλάγματα αὐτου̃ καὶ διότι ἐπορεύθημεν ἱκέται πρὸ προσώπου κυρίου παντοκράτορος (Ⅲ) - Et dixistis : Quid locuti sumus contra te ? Dixistis : Vanus est qui servit Deo : et quod emolumentum quia custodivimus præcepta ejus, et quia ambulavimus tristes coram Domino exercituum ? (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃3 אמרתם שוא עבד אלהים ומה בצע כי שמרנו משמרתו וכי הלכנו קדרנית מפני יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
- Maintenant nous estimons heureux les hautains; Oui, les méchants prospèrent; Oui, ils tentent Dieu, et ils échappent! (Ⅱ) - καὶ νυ̃ν ἡμει̃ς μακαρίζομεν ἀλλοτρίους καὶ ἀνοικοδομου̃νται πάντες ποιου̃ντες ἄνομα καὶ ἀντέστησαν θεω̨̃ καὶ ἐσώθησαν (Ⅲ) - Ergo nunc beatos dicimus arrogantes : siquidem ædificati sunt facientes impietatem, et tentaverunt Deum, et salvi facti sunt. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃3 ועתה אנחנו מאשרים זדים גם נבנו עשי רשעה גם בחנו אלהים וימלטו (Ⅴ)

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
- Alors ceux qui craignent l'Éternel se parlèrent l'un à l'autre; L'Éternel fut attentif, et il écouta; Et un livre de souvenir fut écrit devant lui Pour ceux qui craignent l'Éternel Et qui honorent son nom. (Ⅱ) - ταυ̃τα κατελάλησαν οἱ φοβούμενοι τὸν κύριον ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτου̃ καὶ προσέσχεν κύριος καὶ εἰσήκουσεν καὶ ἔγραψεν βιβλίον μνημοσύνου ἐνώπιον αὐτου̃ τοι̃ς φοβουμένοις τὸν κύριον καὶ εὐλαβουμένοις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Tunc locuti sunt timentes Dominum, unusquisque cum proximo suo : et attendit Dominus, et audivit, et scriptus est liber monumenti coram eo timentibus Dominum, et cogitantibus nomen ejus. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃3 אז נדברו יראי יהוה איש את רעהו ויקשב יהוה וישמע ויכתב ספר זכרון לפניו ליראי יהוה ולחשבי שמו (Ⅴ)

And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
- Ils seront à moi, dit l'Éternel des armées, Ils m'appartiendront, au jour que je prépare; J'aurai compassion d'eux, Comme un homme a compassion de son fils qui le sert. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσονταί μοι λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ εἰς ἡμέραν ἣν ἐγὼ ποιω̃ εἰς περιποίησιν καὶ αἱρετιω̃ αὐτοὺς ὃν τρόπον αἱρετίζει ἄνθρωπος τὸν υἱὸν αὐτου̃ τὸν δουλεύοντα αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅲ) - Et erunt mihi, ait Dominus exercituum, in die qua ego facio, in peculium : et parcam eis, sicut parcit vir filio suo servienti sibi. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃3 והיו לי אמר יהוה צבאות ליום אשר אני עשה סגלה וחמלתי עליהם כאשר יחמל איש על בנו העבד אתו (Ⅴ)

Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
- Et vous verrez de nouveau la différence Entre le juste et le méchant, Entre celui qui sert Dieu Et celui qui ne le sert pas. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπιστραφήσεσθε καὶ ὄψεσθε ἀνὰ μέσον δικαίου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ἀνόμου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον του̃ δουλεύοντος θεω̨̃ καὶ του̃ μὴ δουλεύοντος (Ⅲ) - Et convertemini, et videbitis quid sit inter justum et impium, et inter servientem Deo et non servientem ei. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃3 ושבתם וראיתם בין צדיק לרשע בין עבד אלהים לאשר לא עבדו ס (Ⅴ)
