Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
- Koré, fils de Jitsehar, fils de Kehath, fils de Lévi, se révolta avec Dathan et Abiram, fils d'Éliab, et On, fils de Péleth, tous trois fils de Ruben. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κορε υἱὸς Ισσααρ υἱου̃ Κααθ υἱου̃ Λευι καὶ Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων υἱοὶ Ελιαβ καὶ Αυν υἱὸς Φαλεθ υἱου̃ Ρουβην (Ⅲ) - Ecce autem Core filius Isaar, filii Caath, filii Levi, et Dathan atque Abiron filii Eliab, Hon quoque filius Pheleth de filiis Ruben, (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃16 ויקח קרח בן יצהר בן קהת בן לוי ודתן ואבירם בני אליאב ואון בן פלת בני ראובן (Ⅴ)

And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
- Ils se soulevèrent contre Moïse, avec deux cent cinquante hommes des enfants d'Israël, des principaux de l'assemblée, de ceux que l'on convoquait à l'assemblée, et qui étaient des gens de renom. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἔναντι Μωυση̃ καὶ ἄνδρες τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι ἀρχηγοὶ συναγωγη̃ς σύγκλητοι βουλη̃ς καὶ ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοί (Ⅲ) - surrexerunt contra Moysen, aliique filiorum Israël ducenti quinquaginta viri proceres synagogæ, et qui tempore concilii per nomina vocabantur. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃16 ויקמו לפני משה ואנשים מבני ישראל חמשים ומאתים נשיאי עדה קראי מועד אנשי שם (Ⅴ)

And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
- Ils s'assemblèrent contre Moïse et Aaron, et leur dirent: C'en est assez! car toute l'assemblée, tous sont saints, et l'Éternel est au milieu d'eux. Pourquoi vous élevez-vous au-dessus de l'assemblée de l'Éternel? (Ⅱ) - συνέστησαν ἐπὶ Μωυση̃ν καὶ Ααρων καὶ εἰ̃παν ἐχέτω ὑμι̃ν ὅτι πα̃σα ἡ συναγωγὴ πάντες ἅγιοι καὶ ἐν αὐτοι̃ς κύριος καὶ διὰ τί κατανίστασθε ἐπὶ τὴν συναγωγὴν κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Cumque stetissent adversum Moysen et Aaron, dixerunt : Sufficiat vobis, quia omnis multitudo sanctorum est, et in ipsis est Dominus : cur elevamini super populum Domini ? (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃16 ויקהלו על משה ועל אהרן ויאמרו אלהם רב לכם כי כל העדה כלם קדשים ובתוכם יהוה ומדוע תתנשאו על קהל יהוה (Ⅴ)

And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
- Quand Moïse eut entendu cela, il tomba sur son visage. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀκούσας Μωυση̃ς ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον (Ⅲ) - Quod cum audisset Moyses, cecidit pronus in faciem : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃16 וישמע משה ויפל על פניו (Ⅴ)

And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
- Il parla à Koré et à toute sa troupe, en disant: Demain, l'Éternel fera connaître qui est à lui et qui est saint, et il le fera approcher de lui; il fera approcher de lui celui qu'il choisira. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς Κορε καὶ πρὸς πα̃σαν αὐτου̃ τὴν συναγωγὴν λέγων ἐπέσκεπται καὶ ἔγνω ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ὄντας αὐτου̃ καὶ τοὺς ἁγίους καὶ προσηγάγετο πρὸς ἑαυτόν καὶ οὓς ἐξελέξατο ἑαυτω̨̃ προσηγάγετο πρὸς ἑαυτόν (Ⅲ) - locutusque ad Core et ad omnem multitudinem : Mane, inquit, notum faciet Dominus qui ad se pertineant, et sanctos applicabit sibi : et quos elegerit, appropinquabunt ei. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃16 וידבר אל קרח ואל כל עדתו לאמר בקר וידע יהוה את אשר לו ואת הקדוש והקריב אליו ואת אשר יבחר בו יקריב אליו (Ⅴ)

This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;
- Faites ceci. Prenez des brasiers, Koré et toute sa troupe. (Ⅱ) - του̃το ποιήσατε λάβετε ὑμι̃ν αὐτοι̃ς πυρει̃α Κορε καὶ πα̃σα ἡ συναγωγὴ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Hoc igitur facite : tollat unusquisque thuribula sua, tu Core, et omne concilium tuum : (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃16 זאת עשו קחו לכם מחתות קרח וכל עדתו (Ⅴ)

And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
- Demain, mettez-y du feu, et posez-y du parfum devant l'Éternel; celui que l'Éternel choisira, c'est celui-là qui sera saint. C'en est assez, enfants de Lévi! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ' αὐτὰ πυ̃ρ καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ' αὐτὰ θυμίαμα ἔναντι κυρίου αὔριον καὶ ἔσται ὁ ἀνήρ ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος οὑ̃τος ἅγιος ἱκανούσθω ὑμι̃ν υἱοὶ Λευι (Ⅲ) - et hausto cras igne, ponite desuper thymiama coram Domino : et quemcumque elegerit, ipse erit sanctus : multum erigimini filii Levi. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃16 ותנו בהן אש ושימו עליהן קטרת לפני יהוה מחר והיה האיש אשר יבחר יהוה הוא הקדוש רב לכם בני לוי (Ⅴ)

And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:
- Moïse dit à Koré: Écoutez donc, enfants de Lévi: (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μωυση̃ς πρὸς Κορε εἰσακούσατέ μου υἱοὶ Λευι (Ⅲ) - Dixitque rursum ad Core : Audite, filii Levi : (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃16 ויאמר משה אל קרח שמעו נא בני לוי (Ⅴ)

Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
- Est-ce trop peu pour vous que le Dieu d'Israël vous ait choisis dans l'assemblée d'Israël, en vous faisant approcher de lui, afin que vous soyez employés au service du tabernacle de l'Éternel, et que vous vous présentiez devant l'assemblée pour la servir? (Ⅱ) - μὴ μικρόν ἐστιν του̃το ὑμι̃ν ὅτι διέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὑμα̃ς ἐκ συναγωγη̃ς Ισραηλ καὶ προσηγάγετο ὑμα̃ς πρὸς ἑαυτὸν λειτουργει̃ν τὰς λειτουργίας τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς κυρίου καὶ παρίστασθαι ἔναντι τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς λατρεύειν αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ) - num parum vobis est quod separavit vos Deus Israël ab omni populo, et junxit sibi, ut serviretis ei in cultu tabernaculi, et staretis coram frequentia populi, et ministraretis ei ? (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃16 המעט מכם כי הבדיל אלהי ישראל אתכם מעדת ישראל להקריב אתכם אליו לעבד את עבדת משכן יהוה ולעמד לפני העדה לשרתם (Ⅴ)

And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
- Il vous a fait approcher de lui, toi, et tous tes frères, les enfants de Lévi, et vous voulez encore le sacerdoce! (Ⅱ) - καὶ προσηγάγετό σε καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου υἱοὺς Λευι μετὰ σου̃ καὶ ζητει̃τε ἱερατεύειν (Ⅲ) - idcirco ad se fecit accedere te et omnes fratres tuos filios Levi, ut vobis etiam sacerdotium vindicetis, (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃16 ויקרב אתך ואת כל אחיך בני לוי אתך ובקשתם גם כהנה (Ⅴ)

For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?
- C'est à cause de cela que toi et toute ta troupe, vous vous assemblez contre l'Éternel! car qui est Aaron, pour que vous murmuriez contre lui? (Ⅱ) - οὕτως σὺ καὶ πα̃σα ἡ συναγωγή σου ἡ συνηθροισμένη πρὸς τὸν θεόν καὶ Ααρων τίς ἐστιν ὅτι διαγογγύζετε κατ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - et omnis globus tuus stet contra Dominum ? quid est enim Aaron ut murmuretis contra eum ?\ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃16 לכן אתה וכל עדתך הנעדים על יהוה ואהרן מה הוא כי *תלונו **תלינו עליו (Ⅴ)

And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:
- Moïse envoya appeler Dathan et Abiram, fils d'Éliab. Mais ils dirent: Nous ne monterons pas. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Μωυση̃ς καλέσαι Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων υἱοὺς Ελιαβ καὶ εἰ̃παν οὐκ ἀναβαίνομεν (Ⅲ) - Misit ergo Moyses ut vocaret Dathan et Abiron filios Eliab. Qui responderunt : Non venimus. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃16 וישלח משה לקרא לדתן ולאבירם בני אליאב ויאמרו לא נעלה (Ⅴ)

Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?
- N'est-ce pas assez que tu nous aies fait sortir d'un pays où coulent le lait et le miel pour nous faire mourir au désert, sans que tu continues à dominer sur nous? (Ⅱ) - μὴ μικρὸν του̃το ὅτι ἀνήγαγες ἡμα̃ς ἐκ γη̃ς ῥεούσης γάλα καὶ μέλι ἀποκτει̃ναι ἡμα̃ς ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ ὅτι κατάρχεις ἡμω̃ν ἄρχων (Ⅲ) - Numquid parum est tibi quod eduxisti nos de terra, quæ lacte et melle manabat, ut occideres in deserto, nisi et dominatus fueris nostri ? (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃16 המעט כי העליתנו מארץ זבת חלב ודבש להמיתנו במדבר כי תשתרר עלינו גם השתרר (Ⅴ)

Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
- Et ce n'est pas dans un pays où coulent le lait et le miel que tu nous as menés, ce ne sont pas des champs et des vignes que tu nous as donnés en possession. Penses-tu crever les yeux de ces gens? Nous ne monterons pas. (Ⅱ) - εἰ καὶ εἰς γη̃ν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι εἰσήγαγες ἡμα̃ς καὶ ἔδωκας ἡμι̃ν κλη̃ρον ἀγρου̃ καὶ ἀμπελω̃νας τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς τω̃ν ἀνθρώπων ἐκείνων ἂν ἐξέκοψας οὐκ ἀναβαίνομεν (Ⅲ) - Revera induxisti nos in terram, quæ fluit rivis lactis et mellis, et dedisti nobis possessiones agrorum et vinearum : an et oculos nostros vis eruere ? non venimus. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃16 אף לא אל ארץ זבת חלב ודבש הביאתנו ותתן לנו נחלת שדה וכרם העיני האנשים ההם תנקר לא נעלה (Ⅴ)

And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
- Moïse fut très irrité, et il dit à l'Éternel: N'aie point égard à leur offrande. Je ne leur ai pas même pris un âne, et je n'ai fait de mal à aucun d'eux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐβαρυθύμησεν Μωυση̃ς σφόδρα καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς κύριον μὴ προσχη̨̃ς εἰς τὴν θυσίαν αὐτω̃ν οὐκ ἐπιθύμημα οὐδενὸς αὐτω̃ν εἴληφα οὐδὲ ἐκάκωσα οὐδένα αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Iratusque Moyses valde, ait ad Dominum : Ne respicias sacrificia eorum : tu scis quod ne asellum quidem umquam acceperim ab eis, nec afflixerim quempiam eorum.\ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃16 ויחר למשה מאד ויאמר אל יהוה אל תפן אל מנחתם לא חמור אחד מהם נשאתי ולא הרעתי את אחד מהם (Ⅴ)

And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:
- Moïse dit à Koré: Toi et toute ta troupe, trouvez-vous demain devant l'Éternel, toi et eux, avec Aaron. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μωυση̃ς πρὸς Κορε ἁγίασον τὴν συναγωγήν σου καὶ γίνεσθε ἕτοιμοι ἔναντι κυρίου σὺ καὶ αὐτοὶ καὶ Ααρων αὔριον (Ⅲ) - Dixitque ad Core : Tu, et omnis congregatio tua, state seorsum coram Domino, et Aaron die crastino separatim. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃16 ויאמר משה אל קרח אתה וכל עדתך היו לפני יהוה אתה והם ואהרן מחר (Ⅴ)

And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
- Prenez chacun votre brasier, mettez-y du parfum, et présentez devant l'Éternel chacun votre brasier: il y aura deux cent cinquante brasiers; toi et Aaron, vous prendrez aussi chacun votre brasier. (Ⅱ) - καὶ λάβετε ἕκαστος τὸ πυρει̃ον αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπιθήσετε ἐπ' αὐτὰ θυμίαμα καὶ προσάξετε ἔναντι κυρίου ἕκαστος τὸ πυρει̃ον αὐτου̃ πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσια πυρει̃α καὶ σὺ καὶ Ααρων ἕκαστος τὸ πυρει̃ον αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Tollite singuli thuribula vestra, et ponite super ea incensum, offerentes Domino ducenta quinquaginta thuribula : Aaron quoque teneat thuribulum suum. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃16 וקחו איש מחתתו ונתתם עליהם קטרת והקרבתם לפני יהוה איש מחתתו חמשים ומאתים מחתת ואתה ואהרן איש מחתתו (Ⅴ)

And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.
- Ils prirent chacun leur brasier, y mirent du feu et y posèrent du parfum, et ils se tinrent à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation, avec Moïse et Aaron. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔλαβεν ἕκαστος τὸ πυρει̃ον αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπέθηκαν ἐπ' αὐτὰ πυ̃ρ καὶ ἐπέβαλον ἐπ' αὐτὸ θυμίαμα καὶ ἔστησαν παρὰ τὰς θύρας τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς του̃ μαρτυρίου Μωυση̃ς καὶ Ααρων (Ⅲ) - Quod cum fecissent, stantibus Moyses et Aaron, (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃16 ויקחו איש מחתתו ויתנו עליהם אש וישימו עליהם קטרת ויעמדו פתח אהל מועד ומשה ואהרן (Ⅴ)

And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.
- Et Koré convoqua toute l'assemblée contre Moïse et Aaron, à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation. Alors la gloire de l'Éternel apparut à toute l'assemblée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπισυνέστησεν ἐπ' αὐτοὺς Κορε τὴν πα̃σαν αὐτου̃ συναγωγὴν παρὰ τὴν θύραν τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς του̃ μαρτυρίου καὶ ὤφθη ἡ δόξα κυρίου πάση̨ τη̨̃ συναγωγη̨̃ (Ⅲ) - et coacervassent adversum eos omnem multitudinem ad ostium tabernaculi, apparuit cunctis gloria Domini. (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃16 ויקהל עליהם קרח את כל העדה אל פתח אהל מועד וירא כבוד יהוה אל כל העדה פ (Ⅴ)

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
- Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron, et dit: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν καὶ Ααρων λέγων (Ⅲ) - Locutusque Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron, ait : (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃16 וידבר יהוה אל משה ואל אהרן לאמר (Ⅴ)

Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
- Séparez-vous du milieu de cette assemblée, et je les consumerai en un seul instant. (Ⅱ) - ἀποσχίσθητε ἐκ μέσου τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς ταύτης καὶ ἐξαναλώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς ἅπαξ (Ⅲ) - Separamini de medio congregationis hujus, ut eos repente disperdam. (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃16 הבדלו מתוך העדה הזאת ואכלה[1] אתם כרגע (Ⅴ)

And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?
- Ils tombèrent sur leur visage, et dirent: O Dieu, Dieu des esprits de toute chair! un seul homme a péché, et tu t'irriterais contre toute l'assemblée? (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔπεσαν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτω̃ν καὶ εἰ̃παν θεὸς θεὸς τω̃ν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκός εἰ ἄνθρωπος εἱ̃ς ἥμαρτεν ἐπὶ πα̃σαν τὴν συναγωγὴν ὀργὴ κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Qui ceciderunt proni in faciem, atque dixerunt : Fortissime Deus spirituum universæ carnis, num uno peccante, contra omnes ira tua desæviet ? (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃16 ויפלו על פניהם ויאמרו אל אלהי הרוחת לכל בשר האיש אחד יחטא ועל כל העדה תקצף פ (Ⅴ)

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
- L'Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν λέγων (Ⅲ) - Et ait Dominus ad Moysen : (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃16 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר (Ⅴ)

Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
- Parle à l'assemblée, et dis: Retirez-vous de toutes parts loin de la demeure de Koré, de Dathan et d'Abiram. (Ⅱ) - λάλησον τη̨̃ συναγωγη̨̃ λέγων ἀναχωρήσατε κύκλω̨ ἀπὸ τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς Κορε (Ⅲ) - Præcipe universo populo ut separetur a tabernaculis Core et Dathan et Abiron.\ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃16 דבר אל העדה לאמר העלו מסביב למשכן קרח דתן ואבירם (Ⅴ)

And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.
- Moïse se leva, et alla vers Dathan et Abiram; et les anciens d'Israël le suivirent. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνέστη Μωυση̃ς καὶ ἐπορεύθη πρὸς Δαθαν καὶ Αβιρων καὶ συνεπορεύθησαν μετ' αὐτου̃ πάντες οἱ πρεσβύτεροι Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Surrexitque Moyses, et abiit ad Dathan et Abiron : et sequentibus eum senioribus Israël, (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃16 ויקם משה וילך אל דתן ואבירם וילכו אחריו זקני ישראל (Ⅴ)

And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
- Il parla à l'assemblée, et dit: Éloignez-vous des tentes de ces méchants hommes, et ne touchez à rien de ce qui leur appartient, de peur que vous ne périssiez en même temps qu'ils seront punis pour tous leurs péchés. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς τὴν συναγωγὴν λέγων ἀποσχίσθητε ἀπὸ τω̃ν σκηνω̃ν τω̃ν ἀνθρώπων τω̃ν σκληρω̃ν τούτων καὶ μὴ ἅπτεσθε ἀπὸ πάντων ὡ̃ν ἐστιν αὐτοι̃ς μὴ συναπόλησθε ἐν πάση̨ τη̨̃ ἁμαρτία̨ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - dixit ad turbam : Recedite a tabernaculis hominum impiorum, et nolite tangere quæ ad eos pertinent, ne involvamini in peccatis eorum. (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃16 וידבר אל העדה לאמר סורו נא מעל אהלי האנשים הרשעים האלה ואל תגעו בכל אשר להם פן תספו בכל חטאתם (Ⅴ)

So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
- Moïse dit: A ceci vous connaîtrez que l'Éternel m'a envoyé pour faire toutes ces choses, et que je n'agis pas de moi-même. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μωυση̃ς ἐν τούτω̨ γνώσεσθε ὅτι κύριος ἀπέστειλέν με ποιη̃σαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα ταυ̃τα ὅτι οὐκ ἀπ' ἐμαυτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et ait Moyses : In hoc scietis quod Dominus miserit me ut facerem universa quæ cernitis, et non ex proprio ea corde protulerim : (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃16 ויאמר משה בזאת תדעון כי יהוה שלחני לעשות את כל המעשים האלה כי לא מלבי (Ⅴ)

If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.
- Si ces gens meurent comme tous les hommes meurent, s'ils subissent le sort commun à tous les hommes, ce n'est pas l'Éternel qui m'a envoyé; (Ⅱ) - εἰ κατὰ θάνατον πάντων ἀνθρώπων ἀποθανου̃νται οὑ̃τοι εἰ καὶ κατ' ἐπίσκεψιν πάντων ἀνθρώπων ἐπισκοπὴ ἔσται αὐτω̃ν οὐχὶ κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με (Ⅲ) - si consueta hominum morte interierint, et visitaverit eos plaga, qua et ceteri visitari solent, non misit me Dominus : (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃16 אם כמות כל האדם ימתון אלה ופקדת כל האדם יפקד עליהם לא יהוה שלחני (Ⅴ)

But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
- mais si l'Éternel fait une chose inouïe, si la terre ouvre sa bouche pour les engloutir avec tout ce qui leur appartient, et qu'ils descendent vivants dans le séjour des morts, vous saurez alors que ces gens ont méprisé l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἀλλ' ἢ ἐν φάσματι δείξει κύριος καὶ ἀνοίξασα ἡ γη̃ τὸ στόμα αὐτη̃ς καταπίεται αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὰς σκηνὰς αὐτω̃ν καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν αὐτοι̃ς καὶ καταβήσονται ζω̃ντες εἰς ἅ̨δου καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι παρώξυναν οἱ ἄνθρωποι οὑ̃τοι τὸν κύριον (Ⅲ) - sin autem novam rem fecerit Dominus, ut aperiens terra os suum deglutiat eos et omnia quæ ad illos pertinent, descenderintque viventes in infernum, scietis quod blasphemaverint Dominum.\ (Ⅳ) - 30 ׃16 ואם בריאה יברא יהוה ופצתה האדמה את פיה ובלעה אתם ואת כל אשר להם וירדו חיים שאלה וידעתם כי נאצו האנשים האלה את יהוה (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
- Comme il achevait de prononcer toutes ces paroles, la terre qui était sous eux se fendit. (Ⅱ) - ὡς δὲ ἐπαύσατο λαλω̃ν πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐρράγη ἡ γη̃ ὑποκάτω αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Confestim igitur ut cessavit loqui, dirupta est terra sub pedibus eorum : (Ⅳ) - 31 ׃16 ויהי ככלתו לדבר את כל הדברים האלה ותבקע האדמה אשר תחתיהם (Ⅴ)

And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
- La terre ouvrit sa bouche, et les engloutit, eux et leurs maisons, avec tous les gens de Koré et tous leurs biens. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠνοίχθη ἡ γη̃ καὶ κατέπιεν αὐτοὺς καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτω̃ν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς ὄντας μετὰ Κορε καὶ τὰ κτήνη αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - et aperiens os suum, devoravit illos cum tabernaculis suis et universa substantia eorum, (Ⅳ) - 32 ׃16 ותפתח הארץ את פיה ותבלע אתם ואת בתיהם ואת כל האדם אשר לקרח ואת כל הרכוש (Ⅴ)

They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
- Ils descendirent vivants dans le séjour des morts, eux et tout ce qui leur appartenait; la terre les recouvrit, et ils disparurent au milieu de l'assemblée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κατέβησαν αὐτοὶ καὶ ὅσα ἐστὶν αὐτω̃ν ζω̃ντα εἰς ἅ̨δου καὶ ἐκάλυψεν αὐτοὺς ἡ γη̃ καὶ ἀπώλοντο ἐκ μέσου τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς (Ⅲ) - descenderuntque vivi in infernum operti humo, et perierunt de medio multitudinis. (Ⅳ) - 33 ׃16 וירדו הם וכל אשר להם חיים שאלה ותכס עליהם הארץ ויאבדו מתוך הקהל (Ⅴ)

And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.
- Tout Israël, qui était autour d'eux, s'enfuit à leur cri; car ils disaient: Fuyons, de peur que la terre ne nous engloutisse! (Ⅱ) - καὶ πα̃ς Ισραηλ οἱ κύκλω̨ αὐτω̃ν ἔφυγον ἀπὸ τη̃ς φωνη̃ς αὐτω̃ν ὅτι λέγοντες μήποτε καταπίη̨ ἡμα̃ς ἡ γη̃ (Ⅲ) - At vero omnis Israël, qui stabat per gyrum, fugit ad clamorem pereuntium, dicens : Ne forte et nos terra deglutiat. (Ⅳ) - 34 ׃16 וכל ישראל אשר סביבתיהם נסו לקלם כי אמרו פן תבלענו הארץ (Ⅴ)

And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
- Un feu sortit d'auprès de l'Éternel, et consuma les deux cent cinquante hommes qui offraient le parfum. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πυ̃ρ ἐξη̃λθεν παρὰ κυρίου καὶ κατέφαγεν τοὺς πεντήκοντα καὶ διακοσίους ἄνδρας τοὺς προσφέροντας τὸ θυμίαμα (Ⅲ) - Sed et ignis egressus a Domino interfecit ducentos quinquaginta viros, qui offerebant incensum. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
- Dis à Éléazar, fils du sacrificateur Aaron, de retirer de l'incendie les brasiers et d'en répandre au loin le feu, car ils sont sanctifiés. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πρὸς Ελεαζαρ τὸν υἱὸν Ααρων τὸν ἱερέα ἀνέλεσθε τὰ πυρει̃α τὰ χαλκα̃ ἐκ μέσου τω̃ν κατακεκαυμένων καὶ τὸ πυ̃ρ τὸ ἀλλότριον του̃το σπει̃ρον ἐκει̃ ὅτι ἡγίασαν (Ⅲ) - Præcipe Eleazaro filio Aaron sacerdoti ut tollat thuribula quæ jacent in incendio, et ignem huc illucque dispergat : quoniam sanctificata sunt (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃17 אמר אל אלעזר בן אהרן הכהן וירם את המחתת מבין השרפה ואת האש זרה הלאה כי קדשו (Ⅴ)

The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
- Avec les brasiers de ces gens qui ont péché au péril de leur vie, que l'on fasse des lames étendues dont on couvrira l'autel. Puisqu'ils ont été présentés devant l'Éternel et qu'ils sont sanctifiés, ils serviront de souvenir aux enfants d'Israël. (Ⅱ) - τὰ πυρει̃α τω̃ν ἁμαρτωλω̃ν τούτων ἐν ται̃ς ψυχαι̃ς αὐτω̃ν καὶ ποίησον αὐτὰ λεπίδας ἐλατάς περίθεμα τω̨̃ θυσιαστηρίω̨ ὅτι προσηνέχθησαν ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἡγιάσθησαν καὶ ἐγένοντο εἰς σημει̃ον τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - in mortibus peccatorum : producatque ea in laminas, et affigat altari, eo quod oblatum sit in eis incensum Domino, et sanctificata sint, ut cernant ea pro signo et monimento filii Israël. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃17 את מחתות החטאים האלה בנפשתם ועשו אתם רקעי פחים צפוי למזבח כי הקריבם לפני יהוה ויקדשו ויהיו לאות לבני ישראל (Ⅴ)

And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:
- Le sacrificateur Éléazar prit les brasiers d'airain qu'avaient présentés les victimes de l'incendie, et il en fit des lames pour couvrir l'autel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔλαβεν Ελεαζαρ υἱὸς Ααρων του̃ ἱερέως τὰ πυρει̃α τὰ χαλκα̃ ὅσα προσήνεγκαν οἱ κατακεκαυμένοι καὶ προσέθηκαν αὐτὰ περίθεμα τω̨̃ θυσιαστηρίω̨ (Ⅲ) - Tulit ergo Eleazar sacerdos thuribula ænea, in quibus obtulerant hi quos incendium devoravit, et produxit ea in laminas, affigens altari : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃17 ויקח אלעזר הכהן את מחתות הנחשת אשר הקריבו השרפים וירקעום צפוי למזבח (Ⅴ)

To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
- C'est un souvenir pour les enfants d'Israël, afin qu'aucun étranger à la race d'Aaron ne s'approche pour offrir du parfum devant l'Éternel et ne soit comme Koré et comme sa troupe, selon ce que l'Éternel avait déclaré par Moïse. (Ⅱ) - μνημόσυνον τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ ὅπως ἂν μὴ προσέλθη̨ μηθεὶς ἀλλογενής ὃς οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ του̃ σπέρματος Ααρων ἐπιθει̃ναι θυμίαμα ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὥσπερ Κορε καὶ ἡ ἐπισύστασις αὐτου̃ καθὰ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Μωυση̃ (Ⅲ) - ut haberent postea filii Israël, quibus commonerentur ne quis accedat alienigena, et qui non est de semine Aaron ad offerendum incensum Domino, ne patiatur sicut passus est Core, et omnis congregatio ejus, loquente Domino ad Moysen.\ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃17 זכרון לבני ישראל למען אשר לא יקרב איש זר אשר לא מזרע אהרן הוא להקטיר קטרת לפני יהוה ולא יהיה כקרח וכעדתו כאשר דבר יהוה ביד משה לו (Ⅴ)

But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.
- Dès le lendemain, toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël murmura contre Moïse et Aaron, en disant: Vous avez fait mourir le peuple de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγόγγυσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τη̨̃ ἐπαύριον ἐπὶ Μωυση̃ν καὶ Ααρων λέγοντες ὑμει̃ς ἀπεκτάγκατε τὸν λαὸν κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Murmuravit autem omnis multitudo filiorum Israël sequenti die contra Moysen et Aaron, dicens : Vos interfecistis populum Domini. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃17 וילנו כל עדת בני ישראל ממחרת על משה ועל אהרן לאמר אתם המתם את עם יהוה (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.
- Comme l'assemblée se formait contre Moïse et Aaron, et comme ils tournaient les regards vers la tente d'assignation, voici, la nuée la couvrit, et la gloire de l'Éternel apparut. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ ἐπισυστρέφεσθαι τὴν συναγωγὴν ἐπὶ Μωυση̃ν καὶ Ααρων καὶ ὥρμησαν ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν του̃ μαρτυρίου καὶ τήνδε ἐκάλυψεν αὐτὴν ἡ νεφέλη καὶ ὤφθη ἡ δόξα κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Cumque oriretur seditio, et tumultus incresceret, (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃17 ויהי בהקהל העדה על משה ועל אהרן ויפנו אל אהל מועד והנה כסהו הענן וירא כבוד יהוה (Ⅴ)

And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.
- Moïse et Aaron arrivèrent devant la tente d'assignation. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰση̃λθεν Μωυση̃ς καὶ Ααρων κατὰ πρόσωπον τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς του̃ μαρτυρίου (Ⅲ) - Moyses et Aaron fugerunt ad tabernaculum fœderis. Quod, postquam ingressi sunt, operuit nubes, et apparuit gloria Domini. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃17 ויבא משה ואהרן אל פני אהל מועד פ (Ⅴ)

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
- Retirez-vous du milieu de cette assemblée, et je les consumerai en un instant. Ils tombèrent sur leur visage; (Ⅱ) - ἐκχωρήσατε ἐκ μέσου τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς ταύτης καὶ ἐξαναλώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς ἅπαξ καὶ ἔπεσον ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Recedite de medio hujus multitudinis, etiam nunc delebo eos. Cumque jacerent in terra, (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃17 הרמו מתוך העדה הזאת ואכלה אתם כרגע ויפלו על פניהם (Ⅴ)

And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.
- et Moïse dit à Aaron: Prends le brasier, mets-y du feu de dessus l'autel, poses-y du parfum, va promptement vers l'assemblée, et fais pour eux l'expiation; car la colère de l'Éternel a éclaté, la plaie a commencé. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Μωυση̃ς πρὸς Ααρων λαβὲ τὸ πυρει̃ον καὶ ἐπίθες ἐπ' αὐτὸ πυ̃ρ ἀπὸ του̃ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ ἐπίβαλε ἐπ' αὐτὸ θυμίαμα καὶ ἀπένεγκε τὸ τάχος εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν καὶ ἐξίλασαι περὶ αὐτω̃ν ἐξη̃λθεν γὰρ ὀργὴ ἀπὸ προσώπου κυρίου ἠ̃ρκται θραύειν τὸν λαόν (Ⅲ) - dixit Moyses ad Aaron : Tolle thuribulum, et hausto igne de altari, mitte incensum desuper, pergens cito ad populum, ut roges pro eis : jam enim egressa est ira a Domino, et plaga desævit. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃17 ויאמר משה אל אהרן קח את המחתה ותן עליה אש מעל המזבח ושים קטרת והולך מהרה אל העדה וכפר עליהם כי יצא הקצף מלפני יהוה החל הנגף (Ⅴ)

And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
- Aaron prit le brasier, comme Moïse avait dit, et courut au milieu de l'assemblée; et voici, la plaie avait commencé parmi le peuple. Il offrit le parfum, et il fit l'expiation pour le peuple. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔλαβεν Ααρων καθάπερ ἐλάλησεν αὐτω̨̃ Μωυση̃ς καὶ ἔδραμεν εἰς τὴν συναγωγήν καὶ ἤδη ἐνη̃ρκτο ἡ θραυ̃σις ἐν τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ καὶ ἐπέβαλεν τὸ θυμίαμα καὶ ἐξιλάσατο περὶ του̃ λαου̃ (Ⅲ) - Quod cum fecisset Aaron, et cucurrisset ad mediam multitudinem, quam jam vastabat incendium, obtulit thymiama : (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃17 ויקח אהרן כאשר דבר משה וירץ אל תוך[1] הקהל והנה החל הנגף בעם ויתן את הקטרת ויכפר על העם (Ⅴ)

And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
- Il se plaça entre les morts et les vivants, et la plaie fut arrêtée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔστη ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν τεθνηκότων καὶ τω̃ν ζώντων καὶ ἐκόπασεν ἡ θραυ̃σις (Ⅲ) - et stans inter mortuos ac viventes, pro populo deprecatus est, et plaga cessavit. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃17 ויעמד בין המתים ובין החיים ותעצר המגפה (Ⅴ)

Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.
- Il y eut quatorze mille sept cents personnes qui moururent de cette plaie, outre ceux qui étaient morts à cause de Koré. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ τεθνηκότες ἐν τη̨̃ θραύσει τέσσαρες καὶ δέκα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι χωρὶς τω̃ν τεθνηκότων ἕνεκεν Κορε (Ⅲ) - Fuerunt autem qui percussi sunt, quatuordecim millia hominum, et septingenti, absque his qui perierant in seditione Core. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃17 ויהיו המתים במגפה ארבעה עשר אלף ושבע מאות מלבד המתים על דבר קרח (Ⅴ)

And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.

(Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν Ααρων πρὸς Μωυση̃ν ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς του̃ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐκόπασεν ἡ θραυ̃σις (Ⅲ) - Reversusque est Aaron ad Moysen ad ostium tabernaculi fœderis postquam quievit interitus. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃17 וישב אהרן אל משה אל פתח אהל מועד והמגפה נעצרה פ (Ⅴ)
