9. 1

And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

- L'Éternel parla à Moïse, dans le désert de Sinaï, le premier mois de la seconde année après leur sortie du pays d'Égypte. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ Σινα ἐν τω̨̃ ἔτει τω̨̃ δευτέρω̨ ἐξελθόντων αὐτω̃ν ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου ἐν τω̨̃ μηνὶ τω̨̃ πρώτω̨ λέγων (Ⅲ)

- Locutus est Dominus ad Moysen in deserto Sinai anno secundo, postquam egressi sunt de terra Ægypti, mense primo, dicens : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃9 וידבר יהוה אל משה במדבר סיני בשנה השנית לצאתם מארץ מצרים בחדש הראשון לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 2

Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.

- Il dit: Que les enfants d'Israël célèbrent la Pâque au temps fixé. (Ⅱ)

- εἰπὸν καὶ ποιείτωσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὸ πασχα καθ' ὥραν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Faciant filii Israël Phase in tempore suo, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃9 ויעשו בני ישראל את הפסח במועדו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 3

In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.

- Vous la célébrerez au temps fixé, le quatorzième jour de ce mois, entre les deux soirs; vous la célébrerez selon toutes les lois et toutes les ordonnances qui s'y rapportent. (Ⅱ)

- τη̨̃ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτη̨ ἡμέρα̨ του̃ μηνὸς του̃ πρώτου πρὸς ἑσπέραν ποιήσεις αὐτὸ κατὰ καιρούς κατὰ τὸν νόμον αὐτου̃ καὶ κατὰ τὴν σύγκρισιν αὐτου̃ ποιήσεις αὐτό (Ⅲ)

- quartadecima die mensis hujus ad vesperam, juxta omnes cæremonias et justificationes ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃9 בארבעה עשר יום בחדש הזה בין הערבים‪[1]‬ תעשו אתו במועדו ככל חקתיו וככל משפטיו תעשו אתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 4

And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.

- Moïse parla aux enfants d'Israël, afin qu'ils célébrassent la Pâque. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐλάλησεν Μωυση̃ς τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ ποιη̃σαι τὸ πασχα (Ⅲ)

- Præcepitque Moyses filiis Israël ut facerent Phase. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃9 וידבר משה אל בני ישראל לעשת הפסח ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 5

And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.

- Et ils célébrèrent la Pâque le quatorzième jour du premier mois, entre les deux soirs, dans le désert de Sinaï; les enfants d'Israël se conformèrent à tous les ordres que l'Éternel avait donnés à Moïse. (Ⅱ)

- ἐναρχομένου τη̨̃ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτη̨ ἡμέρα̨ του̃ μηνὸς ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ του̃ Σινα καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τω̨̃ Μωυση̨̃ οὕτως ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Qui fecerunt tempore suo, quartadecima die mensis ad vesperam, in monte Sinai. Juxta omnia quæ mandaverat Dominus Moysi, fecerunt filii Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃9 ויעשו את הפסח בראשון בארבעה עשר יום לחדש בין הערבים במדבר סיני ככל אשר צוה יהוה את משה כן עשו בני ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 6

And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:

- Il y eut des hommes qui, se trouvant impurs à cause d'un mort, ne pouvaient pas célébrer la Pâque ce jour-là. Ils se présentèrent le même jour devant Moïse et Aaron; (Ⅱ)

- καὶ παρεγένοντο οἱ ἄνδρες οἳ ἠ̃σαν ἀκάθαρτοι ἐπὶ ψυχη̨̃ ἀνθρώπου καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο ποιη̃σαι τὸ πασχα ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ καὶ προση̃λθον ἐναντίον Μωυση̃ καὶ Ααρων ἐν ἐκείνη̨ τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ (Ⅲ)

- Ecce autem quidam immundi super anima hominis, qui non poterant facere Phase in die illo, accedentes ad Moysen et Aaron, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃9 ויהי אנשים אשר היו טמאים לנפש אדם ולא יכלו לעשת הפסח ביום ההוא ויקרבו לפני משה ולפני אהרן ביום ההוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 7

And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?

- et ces hommes dirent à Moïse: Nous sommes impurs à cause d'un mort; pourquoi serions-nous privés de présenter au temps fixé l'offrande de l'Éternel au milieu des enfants d'Israël? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃παν οἱ ἄνδρες ἐκει̃νοι πρὸς αὐτόν ἡμει̃ς ἀκάθαρτοι ἐπὶ ψυχη̨̃ ἀνθρώπου μὴ οὐ̃ν ὑστερήσωμεν προσενέγκαι τὸ δω̃ρον κυρίω̨ κατὰ καιρὸν αὐτου̃ ἐν μέσω̨ υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- dixerunt eis : Immundi sumus super anima hominis : quare fraudamur ut non valeamus oblationem offerre Domino in tempore suo inter filios Israël ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃9 ויאמרו האנשים ההמה אליו אנחנו טמאים לנפש אדם למה נגרע לבלתי הקרב את קרבן יהוה במעדו בתוך בני ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 8

And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.

- Moïse leur dit: Attendez que je sache ce que l'Éternel vous ordonne. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς Μωυση̃ς στη̃τε αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀκούσομαι τί ἐντελει̃ται κύριος περὶ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Quibus respondit Moyses : State ut consulam quid præcipiat Dominus de vobis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃9 ויאמר אלהם משה עמדו ואשמעה מה יצוה יהוה לכם פ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 9

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

- Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit: (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυση̃ν λέγων (Ⅲ)

- Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃9 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 10

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD.

- Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Si quelqu'un d'entre vous ou de vos descendants est impur à cause d'un mort, ou est en voyage dans le lointain, il célébrera la Pâque en l'honneur de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- λάλησον τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ λέγων ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἐὰν γένηται ἀκάθαρτος ἐπὶ ψυχη̨̃ ἀνθρώπου ἢ ἐν ὁδω̨̃ μακρὰν ὑμι̃ν ἢ ἐν ται̃ς γενεαι̃ς ὑμω̃ν καὶ ποιήσει τὸ πασχα κυρίω̨ (Ⅲ)

- Loquere filiis Israël : Homo, qui fuerit immundus super anima, sive in via procul in gente vestra, faciat Phase Domino (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃9 דבר אל בני ישראל לאמר איש איש כי יהיה טמא לנפש או בדרך רחקה‪[4]‬ לכם או לדרתיכם ועשה פסח ליהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 11

The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

- C'est au second mois qu'ils la célébreront, le quatorzième jour, entre les deux soirs; ils la mangeront avec des pains sans levain et des herbes amères. (Ⅱ)

- ἐν τω̨̃ μηνὶ τω̨̃ δευτέρω̨ ἐν τη̨̃ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτη̨ ἡμέρα̨ τὸ πρὸς ἑσπέραν ποιήσουσιν αὐτό ἐπ' ἀζύμων καὶ πικρίδων φάγονται αὐτό (Ⅲ)

- in mense secundo, quartadecima die mensis ad vesperam. Cum azymis et lactucis agrestibus comedent illud : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃9 בחדש השני בארבעה עשר יום בין הערבים יעשו אתו על מצות ומררים יאכלהו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 12

They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

- Ils n'en laisseront rien jusqu'au matin, et ils n'en briseront aucun os. Ils la célébreront selon toutes les ordonnances de la Pâque. (Ⅱ)

- οὐ καταλείψουσιν ἀπ' αὐτου̃ εἰς τὸ πρωὶ καὶ ὀστου̃ν οὐ συντρίψουσιν ἀπ' αὐτου̃ κατὰ τὸν νόμον του̃ πασχα ποιήσουσιν αὐτό (Ⅲ)

- non relinquent ex eo quippiam usque mane, et os ejus non confringent : omnem ritum Phase observabunt. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃9 לא ישאירו ממנו עד בקר ועצם לא ישברו בו ככל חקת הפסח יעשו אתו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 13

But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

- Si celui qui est pur et qui n'est pas en voyage s'abstient de célébrer la Pâque, celui-là sera retranché de son peuple; parce qu'il n'a pas présenté l'offrande de l'Éternel au temps fixé, cet homme-là portera la peine de son péché. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἐὰν καθαρὸς ἠ̨̃ καὶ ἐν ὁδω̨̃ μακρα̨̃ οὐκ ἔστιν καὶ ὑστερήση̨ ποιη̃σαι τὸ πασχα ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐκ του̃ λαου̃ αὐτη̃ς ὅτι τὸ δω̃ρον κυρίω̨ οὐ προσήνεγκεν κατὰ τὸν καιρὸν αὐτου̃ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτου̃ λήμψεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκει̃νος (Ⅲ)

- Si quis autem et mundus est, et in itinere non fuit, et tamen non fecit Phase, exterminabitur anima illa de populis suis, quia sacrificium Domino non obtulit tempore suo : peccatum suum ipse portabit. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃9 והאיש אשר הוא טהור ובדרך לא היה וחדל לעשות הפסח ונכרתה הנפש ההוא מעמיה כי קרבן יהוה לא הקריב במעדו חטאו ישא האיש ההוא ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 14

And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

- Si un étranger en séjour chez vous célèbre la Pâque de l'Éternel, il se conformera aux lois et aux ordonnances de la Pâque. Il y aura une même loi parmi vous, pour l'étranger comme pour l'indigène. (Ⅱ)

- ἐὰν δὲ προσέλθη̨ πρὸς ὑμα̃ς προσήλυτος ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ὑμω̃ν καὶ ποιήσει τὸ πασχα κυρίω̨ κατὰ τὸν νόμον του̃ πασχα καὶ κατὰ τὴν σύνταξιν αὐτου̃ ποιήσει αὐτό νόμος εἱ̃ς ἔσται ὑμι̃ν καὶ τω̨̃ προσηλύτω̨ καὶ τω̨̃ αὐτόχθονι τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Peregrinus quoque et advena si fuerint apud vos, facient Phase Domino juxta cæremonias et justificationes ejus. Præceptum idem erit apud vos tam advenæ quam indigenæ.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃9 וכי יגור אתכם גר ועשה פסח ליהוה כחקת הפסח וכמשפטו כן יעשה חקה אחת יהיה לכם ולגר ולאזרח הארץ פ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 15

And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.

- Le jour où le tabernacle fut dressé, la nuée couvrit le tabernacle, la tente d'assignation; et, depuis le soir jusqu'au matin, elle eut sur le tabernacle l'apparence d'un feu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἡ̨̃ ἐστάθη ἡ σκηνή ἐκάλυψεν ἡ νεφέλη τὴν σκηνήν τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὸ ἑσπέρας ἠ̃ν ἐπὶ τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς ὡς εἰ̃δος πυρὸς ἕως πρωί (Ⅲ)

- Igitur die qua erectum est tabernaculum, operuit illud nubes. A vespere autem super tentorium erat quasi species ignis usque mane. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃9 וביום הקים את המשכן כסה הענן את המשכן לאהל העדת ובערב יהיה על המשכן כמראה אש עד בקר ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 16

So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

- Il en fut continuellement ainsi: la nuée couvrait le tabernacle, et elle avait de nuit l'apparence d'un feu. (Ⅱ)

- οὕτως ἐγίνετο διὰ παντός ἡ νεφέλη ἐκάλυπτεν αὐτὴν ἡμέρας καὶ εἰ̃δος πυρὸς τὴν νύκτα (Ⅲ)

- Sic fiebat jugiter : per diem operiebat illud nubes, et per noctem quasi species ignis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃9 כן יהיה תמיד הענן יכסנו ומראה אש לילה ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 17

And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

- Quand la nuée s'élevait de dessus la tente, les enfants d'Israël partaient; et les enfants d'Israël campaient dans le lieu où s'arrêtait la nuée. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἡνίκα ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη ἀπὸ τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς καὶ μετὰ ταυ̃τα ἀπη̃ραν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ οὑ̃ ἂν ἔστη ἡ νεφέλη ἐκει̃ παρενέβαλον οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Cumque ablata fuisset nubes, quæ tabernaculum protegebat, tunc proficiscebantur filii Israël : et in loco ubi stetisset nubes, ibi castrametabantur. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃9 ולפי העלת הענן מעל האהל ואחרי כן יסעו בני ישראל ובמקום אשר ישכן שם הענן שם יחנו בני ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 18

At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

- Les enfants d'Israël partaient sur l'ordre de l'Éternel, et ils campaient sur l'ordre de l'Éternel; ils campaient aussi longtemps que la nuée restait sur le tabernacle. (Ⅱ)

- διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου παρεμβαλου̃σιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου ἀπαρου̃σιν πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἐν αἱ̃ς σκιάζει ἡ νεφέλη ἐπὶ τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς παρεμβαλου̃σιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Ad imperium Domini proficiscebantur, et ad imperium illius figebant tabernaculum. Cunctis diebus quibus stabat nubes super tabernaculum, manebant in eodem loco : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃9 על פי יהוה יסעו בני ישראל ועל פי יהוה יחנו כל ימי אשר ישכן הענן על המשכן יחנו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 19

And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.

- Quand la nuée restait longtemps sur le tabernacle, les enfants d'Israël obéissaient au commandement de l'Éternel, et ne partaient point. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὅταν ἐφέλκηται ἡ νεφέλη ἐπὶ τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς ἡμέρας πλείους καὶ φυλάξονται οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὴν φυλακὴν του̃ θεου̃ καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐξάρωσιν (Ⅲ)

- et si evenisset ut multo tempore maneret super illud, erant filii Israël in excubiis Domini, et non proficiscebantur (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃9 ובהאריך הענן על המשכן ימים רבים ושמרו בני ישראל את משמרת יהוה ולא יסעו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 20

And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.

- Quand la nuée restait peu de jours sur le tabernacle, ils campaient sur l'ordre de l'Éternel, et ils partaient sur l'ordre de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔσται ὅταν σκεπάση̨ ἡ νεφέλη ἡμέρας ἀριθμω̨̃ ἐπὶ τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς διὰ φωνη̃ς κυρίου παρεμβαλου̃σιν καὶ διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου ἀπαρου̃σιν (Ⅲ)

- quot diebus fuisset nubes super tabernaculum. Ad imperium Domini erigebant tentoria, et ad imperium illius deponebant. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃9 ויש אשר יהיה הענן ימים מספר על המשכן על פי יהוה יחנו ועל פי יהוה יסעו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 21

And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.

- Si la nuée s'arrêtait du soir au matin, et s'élevait le matin, ils partaient. Si la nuée s'élevait après un jour et une nuit, ils partaient. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔσται ὅταν γένηται ἡ νεφέλη ἀφ' ἑσπέρας ἕως πρωὶ καὶ ἀναβη̨̃ ἡ νεφέλη τὸ πρωί καὶ ἀπαρου̃σιν ἡμέρας ἢ νυκτός (Ⅲ)

- Si fuisset nubes a vespere usque mane, et statim diluculo tabernaculum reliquisset, proficiscebantur : et si post diem et noctem recessisset, dissipabant tentoria. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃9 ויש אשר יהיה‪[c]‬ הענן מערב עד בקר ונעלה הענן בבקר ונסעו או יומם ולילה ונעלה הענן ונסעו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 22

Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.

- Si la nuée s'arrêtait sur le tabernacle deux jours, ou un mois, ou une année, les enfants d'Israël restaient campés, et ne partaient point; et quand elle s'élevait, ils partaient. (Ⅱ)

- μηνὸς ἡμέρας πλεοναζούσης τη̃ς νεφέλης σκιαζούσης ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς παρεμβαλου̃σιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀπάρωσιν (Ⅲ)

- Si vero biduo aut uno mense vel longiori tempore fuisset super tabernaculum, manebant filii Israël in eodem loco, et non proficiscebantur : statim autem ut recessisset, movebant castra. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃9 או ימים או חדש או ימים בהאריך הענן על המשכן לשכן עליו יחנו בני ישראל ולא יסעו ובהעלתו יסעו ‬ (Ⅴ)

9. 23

At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

- Ils campaient sur l'ordre de l'Éternel, et ils partaient sur l'ordre de l'Éternel; ils obéissaient au commandement de l'Éternel, sur l'ordre de l'Éternel par Moïse. (Ⅱ)

- ὅτι διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου ἀπαρου̃σιν τὴν φυλακὴν κυρίου ἐφυλάξαντο διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυση̃ (Ⅲ)

- Per verbum Domini figebant tentoria, et per verbum illius proficiscebantur : erantque in excubiis Domini juxta imperium ejus per manum Moysi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃9 על פי יהוה יחנו ועל פי יהוה יסעו את משמרת יהוה שמרו על פי יהוה ביד משה פ‬ (Ⅴ)
