11. 1  
And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
- Lorsqu'ils approchèrent de Jérusalem, et qu'ils furent près de Bethphagé et de Béthanie, vers la montagne des oliviers, Jésus envoya deux de ses disciples, (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ὅτε ἐγγίζουσιν εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα εἰς Βηθφαγὴ καὶ Βηθανίαν πρὸς τὸ Ὄρος τῶν Ἐλαιῶν, ἀποστέλλει δύο τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ (Ⅲ)
- Et cum appropinquarent Jerosolymæ et Bethaniæ ad montem Olivarum, mittit duos ex discipulis suis, (Ⅳ)
11. 2  
And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
- en leur disant: Allez au village qui est devant vous; dès que vous y serez entrés, vous trouverez un ânon attaché, sur lequel aucun homme ne s'est encore assis; détachez-le, et amenez-le. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν κώμην τὴν κατέναντι ὑμῶν, καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς εἰσπορευόμενοι εἰς αὐτὴν εὑρήσετε πῶλον δεδεμένον ἐφ’ ὃν οὐδεὶς ⸀οὔπω ἀνθρώπων ⸀ἐκάθισεν· ⸂λύσατε αὐτὸν καὶ φέρετε⸃. (Ⅲ)
- et ait illis : Ite in castellum, quod contra vos est, et statim introëuntes illuc, invenietis pullum ligatum, super quem nemo adhuc hominum sedit : solvite illum, et adducite. (Ⅳ)
11. 3  
And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
- Si quelqu'un vous dit: Pourquoi faites-vous cela? répondez: Le Seigneur en a besoin. Et à l'instant il le laissera venir ici. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐάν τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ· Τί ποιεῖτε τοῦτο; εἴπατε ⸀ὅτι Ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ χρείαν ἔχει· καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς αὐτὸν ἀποστέλλει ⸀πάλιν ὧδε. (Ⅲ)
- Et si quis vobis dixerit : Quid facitis ? dicite, quia Domino necessarius est : et continuo illum dimittet huc. (Ⅳ)
11. 4  
And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
- Les disciples, étant allés, trouvèrent l'ânon attaché dehors près d'une porte, au contour du chemin, et ils le détachèrent. (Ⅱ)
- ⸂καὶ ἀπῆλθον⸃ καὶ εὗρον πῶλον δεδεμένον ⸀πρὸς θύραν ἔξω ἐπὶ τοῦ ἀμφόδου, καὶ λύουσιν αὐτόν. (Ⅲ)
- Et abeuntes invenerunt pullum ligatum ante januam foris in bivio : et solvunt eum. (Ⅳ)
11. 5  
And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
- Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là leur dirent: Que faites-vous? pourquoi détachez-vous cet ânon? (Ⅱ)
- καί τινες τῶν ἐκεῖ ἑστηκότων ἔλεγον αὐτοῖς· Τί ποιεῖτε λύοντες τὸν πῶλον; (Ⅲ)
- Et quidam de illic stantibus dicebant illis : Quid facitis solventes pullum ? (Ⅳ)
11. 6  
And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
- Ils répondirent comme Jésus l'avait dit. Et on les laissa aller. (Ⅱ)
- οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτοῖς καθὼς ⸀εἶπεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς· καὶ ἀφῆκαν αὐτούς. (Ⅲ)
- Qui dixerunt eis sicut præceperat illis Jesus, et dimiserunt eis. (Ⅳ)
11. 7  
And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
- Ils amenèrent à Jésus l'ânon, sur lequel ils jetèrent leurs vêtements, et Jésus s'assit dessus. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀φέρουσιν τὸν πῶλον πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν, καὶ ⸀ἐπιβάλλουσιν αὐτῷ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπ’ ⸀αὐτόν. (Ⅲ)
- Et duxerunt pullum ad Jesum : et imponunt illi vestimenta sua, et sedit super eum. (Ⅳ)
11. 8  
And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
- Beaucoup de gens étendirent leurs vêtements sur le chemin, et d'autres des branches qu'ils coupèrent dans les champs. (Ⅱ)
- ⸂καὶ πολλοὶ⸃ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν ἔστρωσαν εἰς τὴν ὁδόν, ἄλλοι δὲ στιβάδας ⸂κόψαντες ἐκ τῶν ἀγρῶν⸃. (Ⅲ)
- Multi autem vestimenta sua straverunt in via : alii autem frondes cædebant de arboribus, et sternebant in via. (Ⅳ)
11. 9  
And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
- Ceux qui précédaient et ceux qui suivaient Jésus criaient: Hosanna! Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur! (Ⅱ)
- καὶ οἱ προάγοντες καὶ οἱ ἀκολουθοῦντες ⸀ἔκραζον· Ὡσαννά· Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου· (Ⅲ)
- Et qui præibant, et qui sequebantur, clamabant, dicentes : Hosanna : benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini : (Ⅳ)
11. 10  
Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
- Béni soit le règne qui vient, le règne de David, notre père! Hosanna dans les lieux très hauts! (Ⅱ)
- Εὐλογημένη ἡ ἐρχομένη ⸀βασιλεία τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν Δαυίδ· Ὡσαννὰ ἐν τοῖς ὑψίστοις. (Ⅲ)
- benedictum quod venit regnum patris nostri David : hosanna in excelsis. (Ⅳ)
11. 11  
And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
- Jésus entra à Jérusalem, dans le temple. Quand il eut tout considéré, comme il était déjà tard, il s'en alla à Béthanie avec les douze. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ⸀Ἱεροσόλυμα εἰς τὸ ἱερόν· καὶ περιβλεψάμενος πάντα ⸀ὀψὲ ἤδη οὔσης τῆς ὥρας ἐξῆλθεν εἰς Βηθανίαν μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα. (Ⅲ)
- Et introivit Jerosolymam in templum : et circumspectis omnibus, cum jam vespera esset hora, exiit in Bethaniam cum duodecim.\ (Ⅳ)
11. 12  
And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
- Le lendemain, après qu'ils furent sortis de Béthanie, Jésus eut faim. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ τῇ ἐπαύριον ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Βηθανίας ἐπείνασεν. (Ⅲ)
- Et alia die cum exirent a Bethania, esuriit. (Ⅳ)
11. 13  
And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
- Apercevant de loin un figuier qui avait des feuilles, il alla voir s'il y trouverait quelque chose; et, s'en étant approché, il ne trouva que des feuilles, car ce n'était pas la saison des figues. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν ⸀ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔχουσαν φύλλα ἦλθεν εἰ ἄρα ⸂τι εὑρήσει⸃ ἐν αὐτῇ, καὶ ἐλθὼν ἐπ’ αὐτὴν οὐδὲν εὗρεν εἰ μὴ φύλλα, ⸂ὁ γὰρ καιρὸς οὐκ ἦν⸃ σύκων. (Ⅲ)
- Cumque vidisset a longe ficum habentem folia, venit si quid forte inveniret in ea : et cum venisset ad eam, nihil invenit præter folia : non enim erat tempus ficorum. (Ⅳ)
11. 14  
And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
- Prenant alors la parole, il lui dit: Que jamais personne ne mange de ton fruit! Et ses disciples l'entendirent. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτῇ· Μηκέτι ⸂εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐκ σοῦ⸃ μηδεὶς καρπὸν φάγοι. καὶ ἤκουον οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Et respondens dixit ei : Jam non amplius in æternum ex te fructum quisquam manducet. Et audiebant discipuli ejus.\ (Ⅳ)
11. 15  
And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
- Ils arrivèrent à Jérusalem, et Jésus entra dans le temple. Il se mit à chasser ceux qui vendaient et qui achetaient dans le temple; il renversa les tables des changeurs, et les sièges des vendeurs de pigeons; (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα. καὶ ⸀εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἤρξατο ἐκβάλλειν τοὺς πωλοῦντας καὶ ⸀τοὺς ἀγοράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, καὶ τὰς τραπέζας τῶν κολλυβιστῶν καὶ τὰς καθέδρας τῶν πωλούντων τὰς περιστερὰς κατέστρεψεν (Ⅲ)
- Et veniunt in Jerosolymam. Et cum introisset in templum, cœpit ejicere vendentes et ementes in templo : et mensas numulariorum, et cathedras vendentium columbas evertit : (Ⅳ)
11. 16  
And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
- et il ne laissait personne transporter aucun objet à travers le temple. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ οὐκ ἤφιεν ἵνα τις διενέγκῃ σκεῦος διὰ τοῦ ἱεροῦ, (Ⅲ)
- et non sinebat ut quisquam transferret vas per templum : (Ⅳ)
11. 17  
And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
- Et il enseignait et disait: N'est-il pas écrit: Ma maison sera appelée une maison de prière pour toutes les nations? Mais vous, vous en avez fait une caverne de voleurs. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐδίδασκεν ⸂καὶ ἔλεγεν⸃ ⸀αὐτοῖς· Οὐ γέγραπται ὅτι Ὁ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν; ὑμεῖς δὲ ⸀πεποιήκατε αὐτὸν σπήλαιον λῃστῶν. (Ⅲ)
- et docebat, dicens eis : Nonne scriptum est : Quia domus mea, domus orationis vocabitur omnibus gentibus ? vos autem fecistis eam speluncam latronum. (Ⅳ)
11. 18  
And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
- Les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes, l'ayant entendu, cherchèrent les moyens de le faire périr; car ils le craignaient, parce que toute la foule était frappée de sa doctrine. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ⸂ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς⸃, καὶ ἐζήτουν πῶς αὐτὸν ἀπολέσωσιν· ἐφοβοῦντο γὰρ αὐτόν, ⸂πᾶς γὰρ⸃ ὁ ὄχλος ἐξεπλήσσετο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Quo audito principes sacerdotum et scribæ, quærebant quomodo eum perderent : timebant enim eum, quoniam universa turba admirabatur super doctrina ejus. (Ⅳ)
11. 19  
And when even was come, he went out of the city.
- Quand le soir fut venu, Jésus sortit de la ville. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ⸀ὅταν ὀψὲ ἐγένετο, ⸀ἐξεπορεύοντο ἔξω τῆς πόλεως. (Ⅲ)
- Et cum vespera facta esset, egrediebatur de civitate.\ (Ⅳ)
11. 20  
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
- Le matin, en passant, les disciples virent le figuier séché jusqu'aux racines. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ⸂παραπορευόμενοι πρωῒ⸃ εἶδον τὴν συκῆν ἐξηραμμένην ἐκ ῥιζῶν. (Ⅲ)
- Et cum mane transirent, viderunt ficum aridam factam a radicibus. (Ⅳ)
11. 21  
And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
- Pierre, se rappelant ce qui s'était passé, dit à Jésus: Rabbi, regarde, le figuier que tu as maudit a séché. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀναμνησθεὶς ὁ Πέτρος λέγει αὐτῷ· Ῥαββί, ἴδε ἡ συκῆ ἣν κατηράσω ἐξήρανται. (Ⅲ)
- Et recordatus Petrus, dixit ei : Rabbi, ecce ficus, cui maledixisti, aruit. (Ⅳ)
11. 22  
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
- Jésus prit la parole, et leur dit: Ayez foi en Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ἔχετε πίστιν θεοῦ· (Ⅲ)
- Et respondens Jesus ait illis : Habete fidem Dei. (Ⅳ)
11. 23  
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
- Je vous le dis en vérité, si quelqu'un dit à cette montagne: Ote-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer, et s'il ne doute point en son coeur, mais croit que ce qu'il dit arrive, il le verra s'accomplir. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ὃς ἂν εἴπῃ τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ· Ἄρθητι καὶ βλήθητι εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ μὴ διακριθῇ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀλλὰ ⸀πιστεύῃ ὅτι ⸂ὃ λαλεῖ γίνεται, ἔσται αὐτῷ⸃. (Ⅲ)
- Amen dico vobis, quia quicumque dixerit huic monti : Tollere, et mittere in mare, et non hæsitaverit in corde suo, sed crediderit, quia quodcumque dixerit fiat, fiet ei. (Ⅳ)
11. 24  
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
- C'est pourquoi je vous dis: Tout ce que vous demanderez en priant, croyez que vous l'avez reçu, et vous le verrez s'accomplir. (Ⅱ)
- διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν, πάντα ὅσα ⸂προσεύχεσθε καὶ αἰτεῖσθε⸃, πιστεύετε ὅτι ⸀ἐλάβετε, καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν. (Ⅲ)
- Propterea dico vobis, omnia quæcumque orantes petitis, credite quia accipietis, et evenient vobis. (Ⅳ)
11. 25  
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
- Et, lorsque vous êtes debout faisant votre prière, si vous avez quelque chose contre quelqu'un, pardonnez, afin que votre Père qui est dans les cieux vous pardonne aussi vos offenses. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὅταν ⸀στήκετε προσευχόμενοι, ἀφίετε εἴ τι ἔχετε κατά τινος, ἵνα καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶν ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς ἀφῇ ὑμῖν τὰ παραπτώματα ⸀ὑμῶν. (Ⅲ)
- Et cum stabitis ad orandum, dimittite si quis habetis adversus aliquem : ut et Pater vester, qui in cælis est, dimittat vobis peccata vestra. (Ⅳ)
11. 26  
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
- Mais si vous ne pardonnez pas, votre Père qui est dans les cieux ne vous pardonnera pas non plus vos offenses. (Ⅱ)
- Quod si vos non dimiseritis : nec Pater vester, qui in cælis est, dimittet vobis peccata vestra.\ (Ⅳ)
11. 27  
And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
- Ils se rendirent de nouveau à Jérusalem, et, pendant que Jésus se promenait dans le temple, les principaux sacrificateurs, les scribes et les anciens, vinrent à lui, (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ἔρχονται πάλιν εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα. καὶ ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ περιπατοῦντος αὐτοῦ ἔρχονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι (Ⅲ)
- Et veniunt rursus Jerosolymam. Et cum ambularet in templo, accedunt ad eum summi sacerdotes, et scribæ, et seniores : (Ⅳ)
11. 28  
And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
- et lui dirent: Par quelle autorité fais-tu ces choses, et qui t'a donné l'autorité de les faire? (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀ἔλεγον αὐτῷ· Ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς; ⸀ἢ τίς σοι ⸂ἔδωκεν τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην⸃ ἵνα ταῦτα ποιῇς; (Ⅲ)
- et dicunt ei : In qua potestate hæc facis ? et quis dedit tibi hanc potestatem ut ista facias ? (Ⅳ)
11. 29  
And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
- Jésus leur répondit: Je vous adresserai aussi une question; répondez-moi, et je vous dirai par quelle autorité je fais ces choses. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ δὲ ⸀Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Ἐπερωτήσω ⸀ὑμᾶς ἕνα λόγον, καὶ ἀποκρίθητέ μοι, καὶ ἐρῶ ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ· (Ⅲ)
- Jesus autem respondens, ait illis : Interrogabo vos et ego unum verbum, et respondete mihi : et dicam vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam. (Ⅳ)
11. 30  
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
- Le baptême de Jean venait-il du ciel, ou des hommes? Répondez-moi. (Ⅱ)
- τὸ βάπτισμα ⸀τὸ Ἰωάννου ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἦν ἢ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων; ἀποκρίθητέ μοι. (Ⅲ)
- Baptismus Joannis, de cælo erat, an ex hominibus ? Respondete mihi. (Ⅳ)
11. 31  
And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
- Mais ils raisonnèrent ainsi entre eux: Si nous répondons: Du ciel, il dira: Pourquoi donc n'avez-vous pas cru en lui? (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀διελογίζοντο πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς λέγοντες· ⸂Τί εἴπωμεν;⸃ ἐὰν εἴπωμεν· Ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, ἐρεῖ· Διὰ τί ⸀οὖν οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ; (Ⅲ)
- At illi cogitabant secum, dicentes : Si dixerimus : De cælo, dicet : Quare ergo non credidistis ei ? (Ⅳ)
11. 32  
But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
- Et si nous répondons: Des hommes... Ils craignaient le peuple, car tous tenaient réellement Jean pour un prophète. (Ⅱ)
- ἀλλὰ εἴπωμεν· Ἐξ ἀνθρώπων;— ἐφοβοῦντο τὸν ⸀ὄχλον, ἅπαντες γὰρ εἶχον τὸν Ἰωάννην ⸂ὄντως ὅτι⸃ προφήτης ἦν. (Ⅲ)
- Si dixerimus : Ex hominibus, timemus populum : omnes enim habebant Joannem quia vere propheta esset. (Ⅳ)
11. 33  
And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
- Alors ils répondirent à Jésus: Nous ne savons. Et Jésus leur dit: Moi non plus, je ne vous dirai pas par quelle autorité je fais ces choses. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀποκριθέντες ⸂τῷ Ἰησοῦ λέγουσιν⸃· Οὐκ οἴδαμεν. καὶ ὁ ⸀Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς· Οὐδὲ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ. (Ⅲ)
- Et respondentes dicunt Jesu : Nescimus. Et respondens Jesus ait illis : Neque ego dico vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam. (Ⅳ)
