Selon ce qui est écrit dans Ésaïe, le prophète: Voici, j'envoie devant toi mon messager, Qui préparera ton chemin;
- As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀Καθὼς γέγραπται ἐν ⸂τῷ Ἠσαΐᾳ τῷ προφήτῃ⸃· ⸀Ἰδοὺ ἀποστέλλω τὸν ἄγγελόν μου πρὸ προσώπου σου, ὃς κατασκευάσει τὴν ὁδόν ⸀σου· (Ⅲ)
- Sicut scriptum est in Isaia propheta : [Ecce ego mitto angelum meum ante faciem tuam,/ qui præparabit viam tuam ante te./ (Ⅳ)

C'est la voix de celui qui crie dans le désert: Préparez le chemin du Seigneur, Aplanissez ses sentiers.
- The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. (Ⅱ)
- φωνὴ βοῶντος ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ· Ἑτοιμάσατε τὴν ὁδὸν κυρίου, εὐθείας ποιεῖτε τὰς τρίβους αὐτοῦ, (Ⅲ)
- Vox clamantis in deserto :/ Parate viam Domini, rectas facite semitas ejus.] (Ⅳ)

Jean parut, baptisant dans le désert, et prêchant le baptême de repentance, pour la rémission des péchés.
- John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. (Ⅱ)
- ἐγένετο Ἰωάννης ⸀ὁ βαπτίζων ἐν τῇ ⸀ἐρήμῳ κηρύσσων βάπτισμα μετανοίας εἰς ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν. (Ⅲ)
- Fuit Joannes in deserto baptizans, et prædicans baptismum pœnitentiæ in remissionem peccatorum. (Ⅳ)

Tout le pays de Judée et tous les habitants de Jérusalem se rendaient auprès de lui; et, confessant leurs péchés, ils se faisaient baptiser par lui dans le fleuve du Jourdain.
- And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐξεπορεύετο πρὸς αὐτὸν πᾶσα ἡ Ἰουδαία χώρα καὶ οἱ Ἱεροσολυμῖται ⸂πάντες, καὶ ἐβαπτίζοντο⸃ ⸂ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ Ἰορδάνῃ ποταμῷ⸃ ἐξομολογούμενοι τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν. (Ⅲ)
- Et egrediebatur ad eum omnis Judææ regio, et Jerosolymitæ universi, et baptizabantur ab illo in Jordanis flumine, confitentes peccata sua. (Ⅳ)

Jean avait un vêtement de poils de chameau, et une ceinture de cuir autour des reins. Il se nourrissait de sauterelles et de miel sauvage.
- And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; (Ⅱ)
- ⸂καὶ ἦν⸃ ὁ Ἰωάννης ἐνδεδυμένος τρίχας καμήλου καὶ ζώνην δερματίνην περὶ τὴν ὀσφὺν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔσθων ἀκρίδας καὶ μέλι ἄγριον. (Ⅲ)
- Et erat Joannes vestitus pilis cameli, et zona pellicea circa lumbos ejus, et locustas et mel silvestre edebat. (Ⅳ)

Il prêchait, disant: Il vient après moi celui qui est plus puissant que moi, et je ne suis pas digne de délier, en me baissant, la courroie de ses souliers.
- And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐκήρυσσεν λέγων· Ἔρχεται ὁ ἰσχυρότερός μου ὀπίσω μου, οὗ οὐκ εἰμὶ ἱκανὸς κύψας λῦσαι τὸν ἱμάντα τῶν ὑποδημάτων αὐτοῦ· (Ⅲ)
- Et prædicabat dicens : Venit fortior me post me, cujus non sum dignus procumbens solvere corrigiam calceamentorum ejus. (Ⅳ)

Moi, je vous ai baptisés d'eau; lui, il vous baptisera du Saint Esprit.
- I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀ἐγὼ ἐβάπτισα ⸀ὑμᾶς ὕδατι, αὐτὸς δὲ βαπτίσει ὑμᾶς ⸀ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ. (Ⅲ)
- Ego baptizavi vos aqua, ille vero baptizabit vos Spiritu Sancto.\ (Ⅳ)

En ce temps-là, Jésus vint de Nazareth en Galilée, et il fut baptisé par Jean dans le Jourdain.
- And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις ἦλθεν Ἰησοῦς ἀπὸ Ναζαρὲτ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἐβαπτίσθη ⸂εἰς τὸν Ἰορδάνην ὑπὸ Ἰωάννου⸃. (Ⅲ)
- Et factum est : in diebus illis venit Jesus a Nazareth Galilææ : et baptizatus est a Joanne in Jordane. (Ⅳ)

Au moment où il sortait de l'eau, il vit les cieux s'ouvrir, et l'Esprit descendre sur lui comme une colombe.
- And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἀναβαίνων ⸀ἐκ τοῦ ὕδατος εἶδεν σχιζομένους τοὺς οὐρανοὺς καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα ⸀ὡς περιστερὰν καταβαῖνον ⸀εἰς αὐτόν· (Ⅲ)
- Et statim ascendens de aqua, vidit cælos apertos, et Spiritum tamquam columbam descendentem, et manentem in ipso. (Ⅳ)

Et une voix fit entendre des cieux ces paroles: Tu es mon Fils bien-aimé, en toi j'ai mis toute mon affection.
- And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ φωνὴ ἐγένετο ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν· Σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός, ἐν ⸀σοὶ εὐδόκησα. (Ⅲ)

Aussitôt, l'Esprit poussa Jésus dans le désert,
- And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ εὐθὺς τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτὸν ἐκβάλλει εἰς τὴν ἔρημον. (Ⅲ)
- Et statim Spiritus expulit eum in desertum. (Ⅳ)

où il passa quarante jours, tenté par Satan. Il était avec les bêtes sauvages, et les anges le servaient.
- And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀ἦν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ⸂τεσσεράκοντα ἡμέρας⸃ πειραζόμενος ὑπὸ τοῦ Σατανᾶ, καὶ ἦν μετὰ τῶν θηρίων, καὶ οἱ ἄγγελοι διηκόνουν αὐτῷ. (Ⅲ)
- Et erat in deserto quadraginta diebus, et quadraginta noctibus : et tentabatur a Satana : eratque cum bestiis, et angeli ministrabant illi.\ (Ⅳ)

Après que Jean eut été livré, Jésus alla dans la Galilée, prêchant l'Évangile de Dieu.
- Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, (Ⅱ)
- ⸂Καὶ μετὰ⸃ τὸ παραδοθῆναι τὸν Ἰωάννην ἦλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν κηρύσσων τὸ ⸀εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ θεοῦ (Ⅲ)
- Postquam autem traditus est Joannes, venit Jesus in Galilæam, prædicans Evangelium regni Dei, (Ⅳ)

Il disait: Le temps est accompli, et le royaume de Dieu est proche. Repentez-vous, et croyez à la bonne nouvelle.
- And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ λέγων ὅτι Πεπλήρωται ὁ καιρὸς καὶ ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ· μετανοεῖτε καὶ πιστεύετε ἐν τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ. (Ⅲ)
- et dicens : Quoniam impletum est tempus, et appropinquavit regnum Dei : pœnitemini, et credite Evangelio. (Ⅳ)

Comme il passait le long de la mer de Galilée, il vit Simon et André, frère de Simon, qui jetaient un filet dans la mer; car ils étaient pêcheurs.
- Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. (Ⅱ)
- ⸂Καὶ παράγων⸃ παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας εἶδεν Σίμωνα καὶ Ἀνδρέαν τὸν ⸀ἀδελφὸν Σίμωνος ⸀ἀμφιβάλλοντας ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ, ἦσαν γὰρ ἁλιεῖς· (Ⅲ)
- Et præteriens secus mare Galilææ, vidit Simonem, et Andream fratrem ejus, mittentes retia in mare (erant enim piscatores), (Ⅳ)

Jésus leur dit: Suivez-moi, et je vous ferai pêcheurs d'hommes.
- And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Δεῦτε ὀπίσω μου, καὶ ποιήσω ὑμᾶς γενέσθαι ἁλιεῖς ἀνθρώπων. (Ⅲ)
- et dixit eis Jesus : Venite post me, et faciam vos fieri piscatores hominum. (Ⅳ)

Aussitôt, ils laissèrent leurs filets, et le suivirent.
- And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἀφέντες τὰ ⸀δίκτυα ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ. (Ⅲ)
- Et protinus relictis retibus, secuti sunt eum. (Ⅳ)

Étant allé un peu plus loin, il vit Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, son frère, qui, eux aussi, étaient dans une barque et réparaient les filets.
- And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀προβὰς ὀλίγον εἶδεν Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ, καὶ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ καταρτίζοντας τὰ δίκτυα, (Ⅲ)
- Et progressus inde pusillum, vidit Jacobum Zebedæi, et Joannem fratrem ejus, et ipsos componentes retia in navi : (Ⅳ)

Aussitôt, il les appela; et, laissant leur père Zébédée dans la barque avec les ouvriers, ils le suivirent.
- And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐκάλεσεν αὐτούς. καὶ ἀφέντες τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν Ζεβεδαῖον ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ μετὰ τῶν μισθωτῶν ἀπῆλθον ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- et statim vocavit illos. Et relicto patre suo Zebedæo in navi cum mercenariis, secuti sunt eum.\ (Ⅳ)

Ils se rendirent à Capernaüm. Et, le jour du sabbat, Jésus entra d'abord dans la synagogue, et il enseigna.
- And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ εἰσπορεύονται εἰς Καφαρναούμ. καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς τοῖς σάββασιν ⸂ἐδίδασκεν εἰς τὴν συναγωγήν⸃. (Ⅲ)
- Et ingrediuntur Capharnaum : et statim sabbatis ingressus in synagogam, docebat eos. (Ⅳ)

Ils étaient frappés de sa doctrine; car il enseignait comme ayant autorité, et non pas comme les scribes.
- And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐξεπλήσσοντο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ, ἦν γὰρ διδάσκων αὐτοὺς ὡς ἐξουσίαν ἔχων καὶ οὐχ ὡς οἱ γραμματεῖς. (Ⅲ)
- Et stupebant super doctrina ejus : erat enim docens eos quasi potestatem habens, et non sicut scribæ. (Ⅳ)

Il se trouva dans leur synagogue un homme qui avait un esprit impur, et qui s'écria:
- And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἦν ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ αὐτῶν ἄνθρωπος ἐν πνεύματι ἀκαθάρτῳ καὶ ἀνέκραξεν (Ⅲ)
- Et erat in synagoga eorum homo in spiritu immundo : et exclamavit, (Ⅳ)

Qu'y a-t-il entre nous et toi, Jésus de Nazareth? Tu es venu pour nous perdre. Je sais qui tu es: le Saint de Dieu.
- Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. (Ⅱ)
- λέγων· ⸀Τί ἡμῖν καὶ σοί, Ἰησοῦ Ναζαρηνέ; ἦλθες ἀπολέσαι ἡμᾶς; οἶδά σε τίς εἶ, ὁ ἅγιος τοῦ θεοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- dicens : Quid nobis et tibi, Jesu Nazarene ? venisti perdere nos ? scio qui sis, Sanctus Dei. (Ⅳ)

Jésus le menaça, disant: Tais-toi, et sors de cet homme.
- And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων· Φιμώθητι καὶ ἔξελθε ἐξ αὐτοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Et comminatus est ei Jesus, dicens : Obmutesce, et exi de homine. (Ⅳ)

Et l'esprit impur sortit de cet homme, en l'agitant avec violence, et en poussant un grand cri.
- And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ σπαράξαν αὐτὸν τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἀκάθαρτον καὶ ⸀φωνῆσαν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ἐξῆλθεν ἐξ αὐτοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Et discerpens eum spiritus immundus, et exclamans voce magna, exiit ab eo. (Ⅳ)

Tous furent saisis de stupéfaction, de sorte qu'il se demandaient les uns aux autres: Qu'est-ce que ceci? Une nouvelle doctrine! Il commande avec autorité même aux esprits impurs, et ils lui obéissent!
- And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐθαμβήθησαν ⸀ἅπαντες, ὥστε συζητεῖν ⸂πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς⸃ λέγοντας· Τί ἐστιν τοῦτο; ⸂διδαχὴ καινή⸃· κατ’ ἐξουσίαν καὶ τοῖς πνεύμασι τοῖς ἀκαθάρτοις ἐπιτάσσει, καὶ ὑπακούουσιν αὐτῷ. (Ⅲ)
- Et mirati sunt omnes, ita ut conquirerent inter se dicentes : Quidnam est hoc ? quænam doctrina hæc nova ? quia in potestate etiam spiritibus immundis imperat, et obediunt ei. (Ⅳ)

Et sa renommée se répandit aussitôt dans tous les lieux environnants de la Galilée.
- And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee. (Ⅱ)
- ⸂καὶ ἐξῆλθεν⸃ ἡ ἀκοὴ αὐτοῦ εὐθὺς ⸀πανταχοῦ εἰς ὅλην τὴν περίχωρον τῆς Γαλιλαίας. (Ⅲ)
- Et processit rumor ejus statim in omnem regionem Galilææ.\ (Ⅳ)

En sortant de la synagogue, ils se rendirent avec Jacques et Jean à la maison de Simon et d'André.
- And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐκ τῆς συναγωγῆς ⸂ἐξελθόντες ἦλθον⸃ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν Σίμωνος καὶ Ἀνδρέου μετὰ Ἰακώβου καὶ Ἰωάννου. (Ⅲ)
- Et protinus egredientes de synagoga, venerunt in domum Simonis et Andreæ, cum Jacobo et Joanne. (Ⅳ)

La belle-mère de Simon était couchée, ayant la fièvre; et aussitôt on parla d'elle à Jésus.
- But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. (Ⅱ)
- ἡ δὲ πενθερὰ Σίμωνος κατέκειτο πυρέσσουσα, καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς λέγουσιν αὐτῷ περὶ αὐτῆς. (Ⅲ)
- Decumbebat autem socrus Simonis febricitans : et statim dicunt ei de illa. (Ⅳ)

S'étant approché, il la fit lever en lui prenant la main, et à l'instant la fièvre la quitta. Puis elle les servit.
- And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ προσελθὼν ἤγειρεν αὐτὴν κρατήσας τῆς ⸀χειρός· καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτὴν ὁ ⸀πυρετός, καὶ διηκόνει αὐτοῖς. (Ⅲ)
- Et accedens elevavit eam, apprehensa manu ejus : et continuo dimisit eam febris, et ministrabat eis.\ (Ⅳ)

Le soir, après le coucher du soleil, on lui amena tous les malades et les démoniaques.
- And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. (Ⅱ)
- Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης, ὅτε ⸀ἔδυ ὁ ἥλιος, ἔφερον πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἔχοντας καὶ τοὺς δαιμονιζομένους· (Ⅲ)
- Vespere autem facto cum occidisset sol, afferebant ad eum omnes male habentes, et dæmonia habentes : (Ⅳ)

Et toute la ville était rassemblée devant sa porte.
- And all the city was gathered together at the door. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸂ἦν ὅλη ἡ πόλις ἐπισυνηγμένη⸃ πρὸς τὴν θύραν. (Ⅲ)
- et erat omnis civitas congregata ad januam. (Ⅳ)

Il guérit beaucoup de gens qui avaient diverses maladies; il chassa aussi beaucoup de démons, et il ne permettait pas aux démons de parler, parce qu'ils le connaissaient.
- And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν πολλοὺς κακῶς ἔχοντας ποικίλαις νόσοις, καὶ δαιμόνια πολλὰ ἐξέβαλεν, καὶ οὐκ ἤφιεν λαλεῖν τὰ δαιμόνια, ὅτι ᾔδεισαν ⸀αὐτόν. (Ⅲ)
- Et curavit multos, qui vexabantur variis languoribus, et dæmonia multa ejiciebat, et non sinebat ea loqui, quoniam sciebant eum.\ (Ⅳ)

Vers le matin, pendant qu'il faisait encore très sombre, il se leva, et sortit pour aller dans un lieu désert, où il pria.
- And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ πρωῒ ἔννυχα λίαν ἀναστὰς ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς ἔρημον τόπον κἀκεῖ προσηύχετο. (Ⅲ)
- Et diluculo valde surgens, egressus abiit in desertum locum, ibique orabat. (Ⅳ)

Simon et ceux qui étaient avec lui se mirent à sa recherche;
- And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀κατεδίωξεν αὐτὸν ⸀Σίμων καὶ οἱ μετ’ αὐτοῦ, (Ⅲ)
- Et prosecutus est eum Simon, et qui cum illo erant. (Ⅳ)

et, quand ils l'eurent trouvé, ils lui dirent: Tous te cherchent.
- And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸂εὗρον αὐτὸν καὶ⸃ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ὅτι Πάντες ⸂ζητοῦσίν σε⸃. (Ⅲ)
- Et cum invenissent eum, dixerunt ei : Quia omnes quærunt te. (Ⅳ)

Il leur répondit: Allons ailleurs, dans les bourgades voisines, afin que j'y prêche aussi; car c'est pour cela que je suis sorti.
- And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ἄγωμεν ⸀ἀλλαχοῦ εἰς τὰς ἐχομένας κωμοπόλεις, ἵνα καὶ ἐκεῖ κηρύξω, εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ⸀ἐξῆλθον. (Ⅲ)
- Et ait illis : Eamus in proximos vicos, et civitates, ut et ibi prædicem : ad hoc enim veni. (Ⅳ)

Et il alla prêcher dans les synagogues, par toute la Galilée, et il chassa les démons.
- And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. (Ⅱ)

- Et erat prædicans in synagogis eorum, et in omni Galilæa, et dæmonia ejiciens.\ (Ⅳ)

Un lépreux vint à lui; et, se jetant à genoux, il lui dit d'un ton suppliant: Si tu le veux, tu peux me rendre pur.
- And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ἔρχεται πρὸς αὐτὸν λεπρὸς παρακαλῶν αὐτὸν καὶ ⸀γονυπετῶν λέγων αὐτῷ ὅτι Ἐὰν θέλῃς δύνασαί με καθαρίσαι. (Ⅲ)
- Et venit ad eum leprosus deprecans eum : et genu flexo dixit ei : Si vis, potes me mundare. (Ⅳ)

Jésus, ému de compassion, étendit la main, le toucha, et dit: Je le veux, sois pur.
- And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀καὶ ⸀ὀργισθεὶς ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα ⸂αὐτοῦ ἥψατο⸃ καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Θέλω, καθαρίσθητι· (Ⅲ)
- Jesus autem misertus ejus, extendit manum suam : et tangens eum, ait illi : Volo : mundare. (Ⅳ)

Aussitôt la lèpre le quitta, et il fut purifié.
- And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἀπῆλθεν ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἡ λέπρα, καὶ ἐκαθαρίσθη. (Ⅲ)
- Et cum dixisset, statim discessit ab eo lepra, et mundatus est. (Ⅳ)

Jésus le renvoya sur-le-champ, avec de sévères recommandations,
- And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐμβριμησάμενος αὐτῷ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐξέβαλεν αὐτόν, (Ⅲ)
- Et comminatus est ei, statimque ejecit illum, (Ⅳ)

et lui dit: Garde-toi de rien dire à personne; mais va te montrer au sacrificateur, et offre pour ta purification ce que Moïse a prescrit, afin que cela leur serve de témoignage.
- And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ὅρα μηδενὶ μηδὲν εἴπῃς, ἀλλὰ ὕπαγε σεαυτὸν δεῖξον τῷ ἱερεῖ καὶ προσένεγκε περὶ τοῦ καθαρισμοῦ σου ἃ προσέταξεν Μωϋσῆς εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς. (Ⅲ)
- et dicit ei : Vide nemini dixeris : sed vade, ostende te principi sacerdotum, et offer pro emundatione tua, quæ præcepit Moyses in testimonium illis. (Ⅳ)

Mais cet homme, s'en étant allé, se mit à publier hautement la chose et à la divulguer, de sorte que Jésus ne pouvait plus entrer publiquement dans une ville. Il se tenait dehors, dans des lieux déserts, et l'on venait à lui de toutes parts.
- But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ δὲ ἐξελθὼν ἤρξατο κηρύσσειν πολλὰ καὶ διαφημίζειν τὸν λόγον, ὥστε μηκέτι αὐτὸν δύνασθαι φανερῶς εἰς πόλιν εἰσελθεῖν, ἀλλὰ ἔξω ⸀ἐπ’ ἐρήμοις τόποις ἦν· καὶ ἤρχοντο πρὸς αὐτὸν ⸀πάντοθεν. (Ⅲ)
- At ille egressus cœpit prædicare, et diffamare sermonem, ita ut jam non posset manifeste introire in civitatem, sed foris in desertis locis esset, et conveniebant ad eum undique. (Ⅳ)
