πειδήπερ πολλοὶ ἐπεχείρησαν ἀνατάξασθαι διήγησιν περὶ τῶν πεπληροφορημένων ἐν ἡμῖν πραγμάτων,
- Plusieurs ayant entrepris de composer un récit des événements qui se sont accomplis parmi nous, (Ⅱ)
- Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, (Ⅲ)
- Quoniam quidem multi conati sunt ordinare narrationem, quæ in nobis completæ sunt, rerum : (Ⅳ)

καθὼς παρέδοσαν ἡμῖν οἱ ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς αὐτόπται καὶ ὑπηρέται γενόμενοι τοῦ λόγου,
- suivant ce que nous ont transmis ceux qui ont été des témoins oculaires dès le commencement et sont devenus des ministres de la parole, (Ⅱ)
- Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; (Ⅲ)
- sicut tradiderunt nobis, qui ab initio ipsi viderunt, et ministri fuerunt sermonis : (Ⅳ)

ἔδοξε κἀμοὶ παρηκολουθηκότι ἄνωθεν πᾶσιν ἀκριβῶς καθεξῆς σοι γράψαι, κράτιστε Θεόφιλε,
- il m'a aussi semblé bon, après avoir fait des recherches exactes sur toutes ces choses depuis leur origine, de te les exposer par écrit d'une manière suivie, excellent Théophile, (Ⅱ)
- It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, (Ⅲ)
- visum est et mihi, assecuto omnia a principio diligenter, ex ordine tibi scribere, optime Theophile, (Ⅳ)

ἵνα ἐπιγνῷς περὶ ὧν κατηχήθης λόγων τὴν ἀσφάλειαν.
- afin que tu reconnaisses la certitude des enseignements que tu as reçus. (Ⅱ)
- That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed. (Ⅲ)
- ut cognoscas eorum verborum, de quibus eruditus es, veritatem.\ (Ⅳ)

Ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ⸀Ἡρῴδου βασιλέως τῆς Ἰουδαίας ἱερεύς τις ὀνόματι Ζαχαρίας ἐξ ἐφημερίας Ἀβιά, ⸀καὶ γυνὴ ⸀αὐτῷ ἐκ τῶν θυγατέρων Ἀαρών, καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Ἐλισάβετ.
- Du temps d'Hérode, roi de Judée, il y avait un sacrificateur, nommé Zacharie, de la classe d'Abia; sa femme était d'entre les filles d'Aaron, et s'appelait Élisabeth. (Ⅱ)
- THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. (Ⅲ)
- Fuit in diebus Herodis, regis Judææ, sacerdos quidam nomine Zacharias de vice Abia, et uxor illius de filiabus Aaron, et nomen ejus Elisabeth. (Ⅳ)

ἦσαν δὲ δίκαιοι ἀμφότεροι ⸀ἐναντίον τοῦ θεοῦ, πορευόμενοι ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἐντολαῖς καὶ δικαιώμασιν τοῦ κυρίου ἄμεμπτοι.
- Tous deux étaient justes devant Dieu, observant d'une manière irréprochable tous les commandements et toutes les ordonnances du Seigneur. (Ⅱ)
- And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. (Ⅲ)
- Erant autem justi ambo ante Deum, incedentes in omnibus mandatis et justificationibus Domini sine querela. (Ⅳ)

καὶ οὐκ ἦν αὐτοῖς τέκνον, καθότι ⸂ἦν ἡ Ἐλισάβετ⸃ στεῖρα, καὶ ἀμφότεροι προβεβηκότες ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτῶν ἦσαν.
- Ils n'avaient point d'enfants, parce qu'Élisabeth était stérile; et ils étaient l'un et l'autre avancés en âge. (Ⅱ)
- And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. (Ⅲ)
- Et non erat illis filius, eo quod esset Elisabeth sterilis, et ambo processissent in diebus suis. (Ⅳ)

Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ ἱερατεύειν αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ τάξει τῆς ἐφημερίας αὐτοῦ ἔναντι τοῦ θεοῦ
- Or, pendant qu'il s'acquittait de ses fonctions devant Dieu, selon le tour de sa classe, il fut appelé par le sort, (Ⅱ)
- And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course, (Ⅲ)
- Factum est autem, cum sacerdotio fungeretur in ordine vicis suæ ante Deum, (Ⅳ)

κατὰ τὸ ἔθος τῆς ἱερατείας ἔλαχε τοῦ θυμιᾶσαι εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸν ναὸν τοῦ κυρίου,
- d'après la règle du sacerdoce, à entrer dans le temple du Seigneur pour offrir le parfum. (Ⅱ)
- According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. (Ⅲ)
- secundum consuetudinem sacerdotii, sorte exiit ut incensum poneret, ingressus in templum Domini : (Ⅳ)
1. 10  
καὶ πᾶν τὸ πλῆθος ἦν τοῦ λαοῦ προσευχόμενον ἔξω τῇ ὥρᾳ τοῦ θυμιάματος·
- Toute la multitude du peuple était dehors en prière, à l'heure du parfum. (Ⅱ)
- And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense. (Ⅲ)
- et omnis multitudo populi erat orans foris hora incensi. (Ⅳ)

ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ἄγγελος κυρίου ἑστὼς ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τοῦ θυμιάματος.
- Alors un ange du Seigneur apparut à Zacharie, et se tint debout à droite de l'autel des parfums. (Ⅱ)
- And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. (Ⅲ)
- Apparuit autem illi angelus Domini, stans a dextris altaris incensi. (Ⅳ)

καὶ ἐταράχθη Ζαχαρίας ἰδών, καὶ φόβος ἐπέπεσεν ἐπ’ αὐτόν.
- Zacharie fut troublé en le voyant, et la frayeur s'empara de lui. (Ⅱ)
- And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. (Ⅲ)
- Et Zacharias turbatus est videns, et timor irruit super eum. (Ⅳ)

εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ ἄγγελος· Μὴ φοβοῦ, Ζαχαρία, διότι εἰσηκούσθη ἡ δέησίς σου, καὶ ἡ γυνή σου Ἐλισάβετ γεννήσει υἱόν σοι, καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰωάννην·
- Mais l'ange lui dit: Ne crains point, Zacharie; car ta prière a été exaucée. Ta femme Élisabeth t'enfantera un fils, et tu lui donneras le nom de Jean. (Ⅱ)
- But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. (Ⅲ)
- Ait autem ad illum angelus : Ne timeas, Zacharia, quoniam exaudita est deprecatio tua : et uxor tua Elisabeth pariet tibi filium, et vocabis nomen ejus Joannem : (Ⅳ)

καὶ ἔσται χαρά σοι καὶ ἀγαλλίασις, καὶ πολλοὶ ἐπὶ τῇ ⸀γενέσει αὐτοῦ χαρήσονται·
- Il sera pour toi un sujet de joie et d'allégresse, et plusieurs se réjouiront de sa naissance. (Ⅱ)
- And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. (Ⅲ)
- et erit gaudium tibi, et exsultatio, et multi in nativitate ejus gaudebunt : (Ⅳ)
1. 15  
ἔσται γὰρ μέγας ἐνώπιον ⸀τοῦ κυρίου, καὶ οἶνον καὶ σίκερα οὐ μὴ πίῃ, καὶ πνεύματος ἁγίου πλησθήσεται ἔτι ἐκ κοιλίας μητρὸς αὐτοῦ,
- Car il sera grand devant le Seigneur. Il ne boira ni vin, ni liqueur enivrante, et il sera rempli de l'Esprit Saint dès le sein de sa mère; (Ⅱ)
- For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. (Ⅲ)
- erit enim magnus coram Domino : et vinum et siceram non bibet, et Spiritu Sancto replebitur adhuc ex utero matris suæ : (Ⅳ)
1. 16  
καὶ πολλοὺς τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐπιστρέψει ἐπὶ κύριον τὸν θεὸν αὐτῶν·
- il ramènera plusieurs des fils d'Israël au Seigneur, leur Dieu; (Ⅱ)
- And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. (Ⅲ)
- et multos filiorum Israël convertet ad Dominum Deum ipsorum : (Ⅳ)
1. 17  
καὶ αὐτὸς προελεύσεται ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ ἐν πνεύματι καὶ δυνάμει Ἠλίου, ἐπιστρέψαι καρδίας πατέρων ἐπὶ τέκνα καὶ ἀπειθεῖς ἐν φρονήσει δικαίων, ἑτοιμάσαι κυρίῳ λαὸν κατεσκευασμένον.
- il marchera devant Dieu avec l'esprit et la puissance d'Élie, pour ramener les coeurs des pères vers les enfants, et les rebelles à la sagesse des justes, afin de préparer au Seigneur un peuple bien disposé. (Ⅱ)
- And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. (Ⅲ)
- et ipse præcedet ante illum in spiritu et virtute Eliæ : ut convertat corda patrum in filios, et incredulos ad prudentiam justorum, parare Domino plebem perfectam. (Ⅳ)
1. 18  
καὶ εἶπεν Ζαχαρίας πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον· Κατὰ τί γνώσομαι τοῦτο; ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι πρεσβύτης καὶ ἡ γυνή μου προβεβηκυῖα ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτῆς.
- Zacharie dit à l'ange: A quoi reconnaîtrai-je cela? Car je suis vieux, et ma femme est avancée en âge. (Ⅱ)
- And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. (Ⅲ)
- Et dixit Zacharias ad angelum : Unde hoc sciam ? ego enim sum senex, et uxor mea processit in diebus suis. (Ⅳ)
1. 19  
καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἄγγελος εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ἐγώ εἰμι Γαβριὴλ ὁ παρεστηκὼς ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ ἀπεστάλην λαλῆσαι πρὸς σὲ καὶ εὐαγγελίσασθαί σοι ταῦτα·
- L'ange lui répondit: Je suis Gabriel, je me tiens devant Dieu; j'ai été envoyé pour te parler, et pour t'annoncer cette bonne nouvelle. (Ⅱ)
- And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. (Ⅲ)
- Et respondens angelus dixit ei : Ego sum Gabriel, qui asto ante Deum : et missus sum loqui ad te, et hæc tibi evangelizare. (Ⅳ)
1. 20  
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔσῃ σιωπῶν καὶ μὴ δυνάμενος λαλῆσαι ἄχρι ἧς ἡμέρας γένηται ταῦτα, ἀνθ’ ὧν οὐκ ἐπίστευσας τοῖς λόγοις μου, οἵτινες πληρωθήσονται εἰς τὸν καιρὸν αὐτῶν.
- Et voici, tu seras muet, et tu ne pourras parler jusqu'au jour où ces choses arriveront, parce que tu n'as pas cru à mes paroles, qui s'accompliront en leur temps. (Ⅱ)
- And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. (Ⅲ)
- Et ecce eris tacens, et non poteris loqui usque in diem quo hæc fiant, pro eo quod non credidisti verbis meis, quæ implebuntur in tempore suo. (Ⅳ)
1. 21  
Καὶ ἦν ὁ λαὸς προσδοκῶν τὸν Ζαχαρίαν, καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ἐν τῷ χρονίζειν ⸂ἐν τῷ ναῷ αὐτόν⸃.
- Cependant, le peuple attendait Zacharie, s'étonnant de ce qu'il restait si longtemps dans le temple. (Ⅱ)
- And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple. (Ⅲ)
- Et erat plebs exspectans Zachariam : et mirabantur quod tardaret ipse in templo. (Ⅳ)
1. 22  
ἐξελθὼν δὲ οὐκ ⸀ἐδύνατο λαλῆσαι αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἐπέγνωσαν ὅτι ὀπτασίαν ἑώρακεν ἐν τῷ ναῷ· καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν διανεύων αὐτοῖς, καὶ διέμενεν κωφός.
- Quand il sortit, il ne put leur parler, et ils comprirent qu'il avait eu une vision dans le temple; il leur faisait des signes, et il resta muet. (Ⅱ)
- And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless. (Ⅲ)
- Egressus autem non poterat loqui ad illos, et cognoverunt quod visionem vidisset in templo. Et ipse erat innuens illis, et permansit mutus. (Ⅳ)
1. 23  
καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐπλήσθησαν αἱ ἡμέραι τῆς λειτουργίας αὐτοῦ, ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ.
- Lorsque ses jours de service furent écoulés, il s'en alla chez lui. (Ⅱ)
- And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house. (Ⅲ)
- Et factum est, ut impleti sunt dies officii ejus, abiit in domum suam : (Ⅳ)
1. 24  
Μετὰ δὲ ταύτας τὰς ἡμέρας συνέλαβεν Ἐλισάβετ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ· καὶ περιέκρυβεν ἑαυτὴν μῆνας πέντε, λέγουσα
- Quelque temps après, Élisabeth, sa femme, devint enceinte. Elle se cacha pendant cinq mois, disant: (Ⅱ)
- And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, (Ⅲ)
- post hos autem dies concepit Elisabeth uxor ejus, et occultabat se mensibus quinque, dicens : (Ⅳ)
1. 25  
ὅτι Οὕτως μοι ⸀πεποίηκεν κύριος ἐν ἡμέραις αἷς ἐπεῖδεν ⸀ἀφελεῖν ὄνειδός μου ἐν ἀνθρώποις.
- C'est la grâce que le Seigneur m'a faite, quand il a jeté les yeux sur moi pour ôter mon opprobre parmi les hommes. (Ⅱ)
- Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. (Ⅲ)
- Quia sic fecit mihi Dominus in diebus, quibus respexit auferre opprobrium meum inter homines.\ (Ⅳ)
1. 26  
Ἐν δὲ τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἕκτῳ ἀπεστάλη ὁ ἄγγελος Γαβριὴλ ⸀ἀπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ εἰς πόλιν τῆς Γαλιλαίας ᾗ ὄνομα Ναζαρὲθ
- Au sixième mois, l'ange Gabriel fut envoyé par Dieu dans une ville de Galilée, appelée Nazareth, (Ⅱ)
- And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, (Ⅲ)
- In mense autem sexto, missus est angelus Gabriel a Deo in civitatem Galilææ, cui nomen Nazareth, (Ⅳ)
1. 27  
πρὸς παρθένον ⸀ἐμνηστευμένην ἀνδρὶ ᾧ ὄνομα Ἰωσὴφ ἐξ οἴκου Δαυὶδ, καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τῆς παρθένου Μαριάμ.
- auprès d'une vierge fiancée à un homme de la maison de David, nommé Joseph. Le nom de la vierge était Marie. (Ⅱ)
- To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. (Ⅲ)
- ad virginem desponsatam viro, cui nomen erat Joseph, de domo David : et nomen virginis Maria. (Ⅳ)
1. 28  
καὶ ⸀εἰσελθὼν πρὸς αὐτὴν εἶπεν· Χαῖρε, κεχαριτωμένη, ὁ κύριος μετὰ ⸀σοῦ.
- L'ange entra chez elle, et dit: Je te salue, toi à qui une grâce a été faite; le Seigneur est avec toi. (Ⅱ)
- And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. (Ⅲ)
- Et ingressus angelus ad eam dixit : Ave gratia plena : Dominus tecum : benedicta tu in mulieribus. (Ⅳ)
1. 29  
ἡ δὲ ⸂ἐπὶ τῷ λόγῳ διεταράχθη⸃ καὶ διελογίζετο ποταπὸς εἴη ὁ ἀσπασμὸς οὗτος.
- Troublée par cette parole, Marie se demandait ce que pouvait signifier une telle salutation. (Ⅱ)
- And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. (Ⅲ)
- Quæ cum audisset, turbata est in sermone ejus, et cogitabat qualis esset ista salutatio. (Ⅳ)
1. 30  
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ ἄγγελος αὐτῇ· Μὴ φοβοῦ, Μαριάμ, εὗρες γὰρ χάριν παρὰ τῷ θεῷ·
- L'ange lui dit: Ne crains point, Marie; car tu as trouvé grâce devant Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. (Ⅲ)
- Et ait angelus ei : Ne timeas, Maria : invenisti enim gratiam apud Deum. (Ⅳ)
1. 31  
καὶ ἰδοὺ συλλήμψῃ ἐν γαστρὶ καὶ τέξῃ υἱόν, καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰησοῦν.
- Et voici, tu deviendras enceinte, et tu enfanteras un fils, et tu lui donneras le nom de Jésus. (Ⅱ)
- And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. (Ⅲ)
- Ecce concipies in utero, et paries filium, et vocabis nomen ejus Jesum : (Ⅳ)
1. 32  
οὗτος ἔσται μέγας καὶ υἱὸς Ὑψίστου κληθήσεται, καὶ δώσει αὐτῷ κύριος ὁ θεὸς τὸν θρόνον Δαυὶδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ,
- Il sera grand et sera appelé Fils du Très Haut, et le Seigneur Dieu lui donnera le trône de David, son père. (Ⅱ)
- He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: (Ⅲ)
- hic erit magnus, et Filius Altissimi vocabitur, et dabit illi Dominus Deus sedem David patris ejus : et regnabit in domo Jacob in æternum, (Ⅳ)
1. 33  
καὶ βασιλεύσει ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ἰακὼβ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας, καὶ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔσται τέλος.
- Il règnera sur la maison de Jacob éternellement, et son règne n'aura point de fin. (Ⅱ)
- And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Ⅲ)
- et regni ejus non erit finis. (Ⅳ)
1. 34  
εἶπεν δὲ Μαριὰμ πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον· Πῶς ἔσται τοῦτο, ἐπεὶ ἄνδρα οὐ γινώσκω;
- Marie dit à l'ange: Comment cela se fera-t-il, puisque je ne connais point d'homme? (Ⅱ)
- Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem Maria ad angelum : Quomodo fiet istud, quoniam virum non cognosco ? (Ⅳ)
1. 35  
καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἄγγελος εἶπεν αὐτῇ· Πνεῦμα ἅγιον ἐπελεύσεται ἐπὶ σέ, καὶ δύναμις Ὑψίστου ἐπισκιάσει σοι· διὸ καὶ τὸ γεννώμενον ἅγιον κληθήσεται, υἱὸς θεοῦ·
- L'ange lui répondit: Le Saint Esprit viendra sur toi, et la puissance du Très Haut te couvrira de son ombre. C'est pourquoi le saint enfant qui naîtra de toi sera appelé Fils de Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (Ⅲ)
- Et respondens angelus dixit ei : Spiritus Sanctus superveniet in te, et virtus Altissimi obumbrabit tibi. Ideoque et quod nascetur ex te sanctum, vocabitur Filius Dei. (Ⅳ)
1. 36  
καὶ ἰδοὺ Ἐλισάβετ ἡ ⸀συγγενίς σου καὶ αὐτὴ ⸀συνείληφεν υἱὸν ἐν γήρει αὐτῆς, καὶ οὗτος μὴν ἕκτος ἐστὶν αὐτῇ τῇ καλουμένῃ στείρᾳ·
- Voici, Élisabeth, ta parente, a conçu, elle aussi, un fils en sa vieillesse, et celle qui était appelée stérile est dans son sixième mois. (Ⅱ)
- And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. (Ⅲ)
- Et ecce Elisabeth cognata tua, et ipsa concepit filium in senectute sua : et hic mensis sextus est illi, quæ vocatur sterilis : (Ⅳ)

ὅτι οὐκ ἀδυνατήσει παρὰ ⸂τοῦ θεοῦ⸃ πᾶν ῥῆμα.
- Car rien n'est impossible à Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- For with God nothing shall be impossible. (Ⅲ)
- quia non erit impossibile apud Deum omne verbum. (Ⅳ)
1. 38  
εἶπεν δὲ Μαριάμ· Ἰδοὺ ἡ δούλη κυρίου· γένοιτό μοι κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμά σου. καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ἀπ’ αὐτῆς ὁ ἄγγελος.

- And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem Maria : Ecce ancilla Domini : fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum. Et discessit ab illa angelus.\ (Ⅳ)

Ἀναστᾶσα δὲ Μαριὰμ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις ἐπορεύθη εἰς τὴν ὀρεινὴν μετὰ σπουδῆς εἰς πόλιν Ἰούδα,
- Dans ce même temps, Marie se leva, et s'en alla en hâte vers les montagnes, dans une ville de Juda. (Ⅱ)
- And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; (Ⅲ)
- Exsurgens autem Maria in diebus illis, abiit in montana cum festinatione, in civitatem Juda : (Ⅳ)
1. 40  
καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον Ζαχαρίου καὶ ἠσπάσατο τὴν Ἐλισάβετ.
- Elle entra dans la maison de Zacharie, et salua Élisabeth. (Ⅱ)
- And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. (Ⅲ)
- et intravit in domum Zachariæ, et salutavit Elisabeth. (Ⅳ)
1. 41  
καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν ⸂τὸν ἀσπασμὸν τῆς Μαρίας ἡ Ἐλισάβετ⸃, ἐσκίρτησεν τὸ βρέφος ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ αὐτῆς, καὶ ἐπλήσθη πνεύματος ἁγίου ἡ Ἐλισάβετ,
- Dès qu'Élisabeth entendit la salutation de Marie, son enfant tressaillit dans son sein, et elle fut remplie du Saint Esprit. (Ⅱ)
- And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: (Ⅲ)
- Et factum est, ut audivit salutationem Mariæ Elisabeth, exsultavit infans in utero ejus : et repleta est Spiritu Sancto Elisabeth : (Ⅳ)
1. 42  
καὶ ἀνεφώνησεν ⸀κραυγῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ εἶπεν· Εὐλογημένη σὺ ἐν γυναιξίν, καὶ εὐλογημένος ὁ καρπὸς τῆς κοιλίας σου.
- Elle s'écria d'une voix forte: Tu es bénie entre les femmes, et le fruit de ton sein est béni. (Ⅱ)
- And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. (Ⅲ)
- et exclamavit voce magna, et dixit : Benedicta tu inter mulieres, et benedictus fructus ventris tui. (Ⅳ)
1. 43  
καὶ πόθεν μοι τοῦτο ἵνα ἔλθῃ ἡ μήτηρ τοῦ κυρίου μου πρὸς ⸀ἐμέ;
- Comment m'est-il accordé que la mère de mon Seigneur vienne auprès de moi? (Ⅱ)
- And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? (Ⅲ)
- Et unde hoc mihi, ut veniat mater Domini mei ad me ? (Ⅳ)
1. 44  
ἰδοὺ γὰρ ὡς ἐγένετο ἡ φωνὴ τοῦ ἀσπασμοῦ σου εἰς τὰ ὦτά μου, ἐσκίρτησεν ⸂ἐν ἀγαλλιάσει τὸ βρέφος⸃ ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ μου.
- Car voici, aussitôt que la voix de ta salutation a frappé mon oreille, l'enfant a tressailli d'allégresse dans mon sein. (Ⅱ)
- For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. (Ⅲ)
- Ecce enim ut facta est vox salutationis tuæ in auribus meis, exsultavit in gaudio infans in utero meo. (Ⅳ)
1. 45  
καὶ μακαρία ἡ πιστεύσασα ὅτι ἔσται τελείωσις τοῖς λελαλημένοις αὐτῇ παρὰ κυρίου.
- Heureuse celle qui a cru, parce que les choses qui lui ont été dites de la part du Seigneur auront leur accomplissement. (Ⅱ)
- And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. (Ⅲ)
- Et beata, quæ credidisti, quoniam perficientur ea, quæ dicta sunt tibi a Domino. (Ⅳ)
1. 46  
Καὶ εἶπεν Μαριάμ· Μεγαλύνει ἡ ψυχή μου τὸν κύριον,
- Et Marie dit: Mon âme exalte le Seigneur, (Ⅱ)
- And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, (Ⅲ)
- Et ait Maria : [Magnificat anima mea Dominum :/ (Ⅳ)
1. 47  
καὶ ἠγαλλίασεν τὸ πνεῦμά μου ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷ τῷ σωτῆρί μου·
- Et mon esprit se réjouit en Dieu, mon Sauveur, (Ⅱ)
- And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. (Ⅲ)
- et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salutari meo./ (Ⅳ)
1. 48  
ὅτι ἐπέβλεψεν ἐπὶ τὴν ταπείνωσιν τῆς δούλης αὐτοῦ, ἰδοὺ γὰρ ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν μακαριοῦσίν με πᾶσαι αἱ γενεαί·
- Parce qu'il a jeté les yeux sur la bassesse de sa servante. Car voici, désormais toutes les générations me diront bienheureuse, (Ⅱ)
- For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. (Ⅲ)
- Quia respexit humilitatem ancillæ suæ :/ ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generationes,/ (Ⅳ)
1. 49  
ὅτι ἐποίησέν μοι ⸀μεγάλα ὁ δυνατός, καὶ ἅγιον τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ,
- Parce que le Tout Puissant a fait pour moi de grandes choses. Son nom est saint, (Ⅱ)
- For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. (Ⅲ)
- quia fecit mihi magna qui potens est :/ et sanctum nomen ejus,/ (Ⅳ)
1. 50  
καὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ εἰς γενεὰς ⸂καὶ γενεὰς⸃ τοῖς φοβουμένοις αὐτόν.
- Et sa miséricorde s'étend d'âge en âge Sur ceux qui le craignent. (Ⅱ)
- And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. (Ⅲ)
- et misericordia ejus a progenie in progenies/ timentibus eum./ (Ⅳ)
