3. 1  
Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
- Nous nous tournâmes, et nous montâmes par le chemin de Basan. Og, roi de Basan, sortit à notre rencontre, avec tout son peuple, pour nous combattre à Édréi. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπιστραφέντες ἀνέβημεν ὁδὸν τὴν εἰς Βασαν καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν Ωγ βασιλεὺς τη̃ς Βασαν εἰς συνάντησιν ἡμι̃ν αὐτὸς καὶ πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς αὐτου̃ εἰς πόλεμον εἰς Εδραϊν (Ⅲ)
- Itaque conversi ascendimus per iter Basan : egressusque est Og rex Basan in occursum nobis cum populo suo ad bellandum in Edrai. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃3   ונפן ונעל דרך הבשן ויצא עוג מלך הבשן לקראתנו הוא וכל עמו למלחמה אדרעי ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 2  
And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
- L'Éternel me dit: Ne le crains point; car je le livre entre tes mains, lui et tout son peuple, et son pays; tu le traiteras comme tu as traité Sihon, roi des Amoréens, qui habitait à Hesbon. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρός με μὴ φοβηθη̨̃ς αὐτόν ὅτι εἰς τὰς χει̃ράς σου παραδέδωκα αὐτὸν καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν αὐτου̃ καὶ πα̃σαν τὴν γη̃ν αὐτου̃ καὶ ποιήσεις αὐτω̨̃ ὥσπερ ἐποίησας Σηων βασιλει̃ τω̃ν Αμορραίων ὃς κατώ̨κει ἐν Εσεβων (Ⅲ)
- Dixitque Dominus ad me : Ne timeas eum : quia in manu tua traditus est cum omni populo ac terra sua : faciesque ei sicut fecisti Sehon regi Amorrhæorum, qui habitavit in Hesebon. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃3   ויאמר יהוה אלי אל תירא אתו כי בידך נתתי אתו ואת כל עמו ואת ארצו ועשית לו כאשר עשית לסיחן מלך האמרי אשר יושב בחשבון ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 3  
So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.
- Et l'Éternel, notre Dieu, livra encore entre nos mains Og, roi de Basan, avec tout son peuple; nous le battîmes, sans laisser échapper aucun de ses gens. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτὸν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν εἰς τὰς χει̃ρας ἡμω̃ν καὶ τὸν Ωγ βασιλέα τη̃ς Βασαν καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπατάξαμεν αὐτὸν ἕως του̃ μὴ καταλιπει̃ν αὐτου̃ σπέρμα (Ⅲ)
- Tradidit ergo Dominus Deus noster in manibus nostris etiam Og regem Basan, et universum populum ejus : percussimusque eos usque ad internecionem, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃3   ויתן יהוה אלהינו בידנו גם את עוג מלך הבשן ואת כל עמו ונכהו עד בלתי השאיר לו שריד ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 4  
And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
- Nous prîmes alors toutes ses villes, et il n'y en eut pas une qui ne tombât en notre pouvoir: soixante villes, toute la contrée d'Argob, le royaume d'Og en Basan. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐκρατήσαμεν πασω̃ν τω̃ν πόλεων αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ οὐκ ἠ̃ν πόλις ἣν οὐκ ἐλάβομεν παρ' αὐτω̃ν ἑξήκοντα πόλεις πάντα τὰ περίχωρα Αργοβ βασιλείας Ωγ ἐν Βασαν (Ⅲ)
- vastantes cunctas civitates illius uno tempore. Non fuit oppidum, quod nos effugeret : sexaginta urbes, omnem regionem Argob regni Og in Basan. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃3   ונלכד את כל עריו בעת ההוא לא היתה קריה אשר לא לקחנו מאתם ששים עיר כל חבל ארגב ממלכת עוג בבשן ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 5  
All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.
- Toutes ces villes étaient fortifiées, avec de hautes murailles, des portes et des barres; il y avait aussi des villes sans murailles en très grand nombre. (Ⅱ)
- πα̃σαι πόλεις ὀχυραί τείχη ὑψηλά πύλαι καὶ μοχλοί πλὴν τω̃ν πόλεων τω̃ν Φερεζαίων τω̃ν πολλω̃ν σφόδρα (Ⅲ)
- Cunctæ urbes erant munitæ muris altissimis, portisque et vectibus, absque oppidis innumeris, quæ non habebant muros. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃3   כל אלה ערים בצרות חומה גבהה דלתים ובריח לבד מערי הפרזי הרבה מאד ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 6  
And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.
- Nous les dévouâmes par interdit, comme nous l'avions fait à Sihon, roi de Hesbon; nous dévouâmes toutes les villes par interdit, hommes, femmes et petits enfants. (Ⅱ)
- ἐξωλεθρεύσαμεν αὐτούς ὥσπερ ἐποιήσαμεν τὸν Σηων βασιλέα Εσεβων καὶ ἐξωλεθρεύσαμεν πα̃σαν πόλιν ἑξη̃ς καὶ τὰς γυναι̃κας καὶ τὰ παιδία (Ⅲ)
- Et delevimus eos, sicut feceramus Sehon regi Hesebon, disperdentes omnem civitatem, virosque ac mulieres et parvulos : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃3   ונחרם אותם כאשר עשינו לסיחן מלך חשבון החרם כל עיר מתם הנשים והטף ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 7  
But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.
- Mais nous pillâmes pour nous tout le bétail et le butin des villes. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη καὶ τὰ σκυ̃λα τω̃ν πόλεων ἐπρονομεύσαμεν ἑαυτοι̃ς (Ⅲ)
- jumenta autem et spolia urbium diripuimus. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃3   וכל הבהמה ושלל הערים בזונו לנו ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 8  
And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;
- C'est ainsi que, dans ce temps-là, nous conquîmes sur les deux rois des Amoréens le pays de l'autre côté du Jourdain, depuis le torrent de l'Arnon jusqu'à la montagne de l'Hermon (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐλάβομεν ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ τὴν γη̃ν ἐκ χειρω̃ν δύο βασιλέων τω̃ν Αμορραίων οἳ ἠ̃σαν πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου ἀπὸ του̃ χειμάρρου Αρνων καὶ ἕως Αερμων (Ⅲ)
- Tulimusque illo in tempore terram de manu duorum regum Amorrhæorum, qui erant trans Jordanem : a torrente Arnon usque ad montem Hermon, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃3   ונקח בעת ההוא את הארץ מיד שני מלכי האמרי אשר בעבר הירדן מנחל ארנן עד הר חרמון ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 9  
(Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)
- (les Sidoniens donnent à l'Hermon le nom de Sirion, et les Amoréens celui de Senir,) (Ⅱ)
- οἱ Φοίνικες ἐπονομάζουσιν τὸ Αερμων Σανιωρ καὶ ὁ Αμορραι̃ος ἐπωνόμασεν αὐτὸ Σανιρ (Ⅲ)
- quem Sidonii Sarion vocant, et Amorrhæi Sanir : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃3   צידנים יקראו לחרמון שרין והאמרי יקראו לו שניר ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 10  
All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
- toutes les villes de la plaine, tout Galaad et tout Basan jusqu'à Salca et Édréi, villes du royaume d'Og en Basan. (Ⅱ)
- πα̃σαι πόλεις Μισωρ καὶ πα̃σα Γαλααδ καὶ πα̃σα Βασαν ἕως Σελχα καὶ Εδραϊν πόλεις βασιλείας του̃ Ωγ ἐν τη̨̃ Βασαν (Ⅲ)
- omnes civitates, quæ sitæ sunt in planitie, et universam terram Galaad et Basan usque ad Selcha, et Edrai civitates regni Og in Basan. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃3   כל ערי המישר וכל הגלעד וכל הבשן עד סלכה ואדרעי ערי ממלכת עוג בבשן ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 11  
For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.
- (Og, roi de Basan, était resté seul de la race des Rephaïm. Voici, son lit, un lit de fer, n'est-il pas à Rabbath, ville des enfants d'Ammon? Sa longueur est de neuf coudées, et sa largeur de quatre coudées, en coudées d'homme.) (Ⅱ)
- ὅτι πλὴν Ωγ βασιλεὺς Βασαν κατελείφθη ἀπὸ τω̃ν Ραφαϊν ἰδοὺ ἡ κλίνη αὐτου̃ κλίνη σιδηρα̃ ἰδοὺ αὕτη ἐν τη̨̃ ἄκρα̨ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Αμμων ἐννέα πηχω̃ν τὸ μη̃κος αὐτη̃ς καὶ τεσσάρων πηχω̃ν τὸ εὐ̃ρος αὐτη̃ς ἐν πήχει ἀνδρός (Ⅲ)
- Solus quippe Og rex Basan restiterat de stirpe gigantum. Monstratur lectus ejus ferreus, qui est in Rabbath filiorum Ammon, novem cubitos habens longitudinis, et quatuor latitudinis ad mensuram cubiti virilis manus.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃3   כי רק עוג מלך הבשן נשאר מיתר הרפאים הנה ערשו ערש ברזל הלה הוא ברבת בני עמון תשע אמות ארכה וארבע אמות רחבה באמת איש ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 12  
And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.
- Nous prîmes alors possession de ce pays. Je donnai aux Rubénites et aux Gadites le territoire à partir d'Aroër sur le torrent de l'Arnon et la moitié de la montagne de Galaad avec ses villes. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τὴν γη̃ν ἐκείνην ἐκληρονομήσαμεν ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ ἀπὸ Αροηρ ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ του̃ χείλους χειμάρρου Αρνων καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ ὄρους Γαλααδ καὶ τὰς πόλεις αὐτου̃ ἔδωκα τω̨̃ Ρουβην καὶ τω̨̃ Γαδ (Ⅲ)
- Terramque possedimus tempore illo ab Aroër, quæ est super ripam torrentis Arnon, usque ad mediam partem montis Galaad : et civitates illius dedi Ruben et Gad. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃3   ואת הארץ הזאת ירשנו בעת ההוא מערער אשר על נחל ארנן וחצי הר הגלעד ועריו נתתי לראובני‪[U]‬ ולגדי ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 13  
And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.
- Je donnai à la moitié de la tribu de Manassé le reste de Galaad et tout le royaume d'Og en Basan: toute la contrée d'Argob, avec tout Basan, c'est ce qu'on appelait le pays des Rephaïm. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τὸ κατάλοιπον του̃ Γαλααδ καὶ πα̃σαν τὴν Βασαν βασιλείαν Ωγ ἔδωκα τω̨̃ ἡμίσει φυλη̃ς Μανασση καὶ πα̃σαν περίχωρον Αργοβ πα̃σαν τὴν Βασαν ἐκείνην γη̃ Ραφαϊν λογισθήσεται (Ⅲ)
- Reliquam autem partem Galaad, et omnem Basan regni Og, tradidi mediæ tribui Manasse, omnem regionem Argob : cunctaque Basan vocatur Terra gigantum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃3   ויתר הגלעד וכל הבשן ממלכת עוג נתתי לחצי שבט המנשה כל חבל הארגב לכל הבשן ההוא יקרא ארץ רפאים ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 14  
Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day.
- Jaïr, fils de Manassé, prit toute la contrée d'Argob jusqu'à la frontière des Gueschuriens et des Maacathiens, et il donna son nom aux bourgs de Basan, appelés encore aujourd'hui bourgs de Jaïr. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ Ιαϊρ υἱὸς Μανασση ἔλαβεν πα̃σαν τὴν περίχωρον Αργοβ ἕως τω̃ν ὁρίων Γαργασι καὶ Ομαχαθι ἐπωνόμασεν αὐτὰς ἐπὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματι αὐτου̃ τὴν Βασαν Αυωθ Ιαϊρ ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης (Ⅲ)
- Jair filius Manasse possedit omnem regionem Argob usque ad terminos Gessuri et Machati. Vocavitque ex nomine suo Basan, Havoth Jair, id est, Villas Jair, usque in præsentem diem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃3   יאיר בן מנשה לקח את כל חבל ארגב עד גבול הגשורי והמעכתי ויקרא אתם על שמו את הבשן חות יאיר עד היום הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 15  
And I gave Gilead unto Machir.
- Je donnai Galaad à Makir. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τω̨̃ Μαχιρ ἔδωκα τὴν Γαλααδ (Ⅲ)
- Machir quoque dedi Galaad. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 15 ׃3   ולמכיר נתתי את הגלעד ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 16  
And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
- Aux Rubénites et aux Gadites je donnai une partie de Galaad jusqu'au torrent de l'Arnon, dont le milieu sert de limite, et jusqu'au torrent de Jabbok, frontière des enfants d'Ammon; (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τω̨̃ Ρουβην καὶ τω̨̃ Γαδ δέδωκα ἀπὸ τη̃ς Γαλααδ ἕως χειμάρρου Αρνων μέσον του̃ χειμάρρου ὅριον καὶ ἕως του̃ Ιαβοκ ὁ χειμάρρους ὅριον τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Αμμαν (Ⅲ)
- Et tribubus Ruben et Gad dedi de terra Galaad usque ad torrentem Arnon medium torrentis, et confinium usque ad torrentem Jeboc, qui est terminus filiorum Ammon : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 16 ׃3   ולראובני‪[U]‬ ולגדי נתתי מן הגלעד ועד נחל ארנן תוך הנחל וגבל ועד יבק הנחל גבול בני עמון ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 17  
The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.
- je leur donnai encore la plaine, limitée par le Jourdain, depuis Kinnéreth jusqu'à la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, au pied du Pisga vers l'orient. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἡ Αραβα καὶ ὁ Ιορδάνης ὅριον Μαχαναρεθ καὶ ἕως θαλάσσης Αραβα θαλάσσης ἁλυκη̃ς ὑπὸ Ασηδωθ τὴν Φασγα ἀνατολω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- et planitiem solitudinis, atque Jordanem, et terminos Cenereth usque ad mare deserti, quod est salsissimum, ad radices montis Phasga contra orientem. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 17 ׃3   והערבה והירדן וגבל מכנרת ועד ים הערבה ים המלח תחת אשדת הפסגה מזרחה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 18  
And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
- En ce temps-là, je vous donnai cet ordre. L'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous livre ce pays, pour que vous le possédiez. Vous tous, soldats, vous marcherez en armes devant les enfants d'Israël. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐνετειλάμην ὑμι̃ν ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ λέγων κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμω̃ν ἔδωκεν ὑμι̃ν τὴν γη̃ν ταύτην ἐν κλήρω̨ ἐνοπλισάμενοι προπορεύεσθε πρὸ προσώπου τω̃ν ἀδελφω̃ν ὑμω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ πα̃ς δυνατός (Ⅲ)
- Præcepique vobis in tempore illo, dicens : Dominus Deus vester dat vobis terram hanc in hæreditatem : expediti præcedite fratres vestros filios Israël omnes viri robusti, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 18 ׃3   ואצו אתכם בעת ההוא לאמר יהוה אלהיכם נתן לכם את הארץ הזאת לרשתה חלוצים תעברו לפני אחיכם בני ישראל כל בני חיל ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 19  
But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you;
- Vos femmes seulement, vos petits enfants et vos troupeaux-je sais que vous avez de nombreux troupeaux-resteront dans les villes que je vous ai donnée, (Ⅱ)
- πλὴν αἱ γυναι̃κες ὑμω̃ν καὶ τὰ τέκνα ὑμω̃ν καὶ τὰ κτήνη ὑμω̃ν οἰ̃δα ὅτι πολλὰ κτήνη ὑμι̃ν κατοικείτωσαν ἐν ται̃ς πόλεσιν ὑμω̃ν αἱ̃ς ἔδωκα ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ)
- absque uxoribus, et parvulis, atque jumentis. Novi enim quod plura habeatis pecora, et in urbibus remanere debebunt, quas tradidi vobis, (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 19 ׃3   רק נשיכם וטפכם ומקנכם ידעתי כי מקנה רב לכם ישבו בעריכם אשר נתתי לכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 20  
Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.
- jusqu'à ce que l'Éternel ait accordé du repos à vos frères comme à vous, et qu'ils possèdent, eux aussi, le pays que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, leur donne de l'autre côté du Jourdain. Et vous retournerez chacun dans l'héritage que je vous ai donné. (Ⅱ)
- ἕως ἂν καταπαύση̨ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμω̃ν τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμω̃ν ὥσπερ καὶ ὑμα̃ς καὶ κατακληρονομήσουσιν καὶ οὑ̃τοι τὴν γη̃ν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν δίδωσιν αὐτοι̃ς ἐν τω̨̃ πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου καὶ ἐπαναστραφήσεσθε ἕκαστος εἰς τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτου̃ ἣν ἔδωκα ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ)
- donec requiem tribuat Dominus fratribus vestris, sicut vobis tribuit : et possideant ipsi etiam terram, quam daturus est eis trans Jordanem : tunc revertetur unusquisque in possessionem suam, quam dedi vobis.\ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 20 ׃3   עד אשר יניח יהוה לאחיכם ככם וירשו גם הם את הארץ אשר יהוה אלהיכם נתן להם בעבר הירדן ושבתם איש לירשתו אשר נתתי לכם ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 21  
And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.
- En ce temps-là, je donnai des ordres à Josué, et je dis: Tes yeux ont vu tout ce que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a fait à ces deux rois: ainsi fera l'Éternel à tous les royaumes contre lesquels tu vas marcher. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τω̨̃ 'Ιησοι̃ ἐνετειλάμην ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ λέγων οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμω̃ν ἑωράκασιν πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν τοι̃ς δυσὶ βασιλευ̃σι τούτοις οὕτως ποιήσει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν πάσας τὰς βασιλείας ἐφ' ἃς σὺ διαβαίνεις ἐκει̃ (Ⅲ)
- Josue quoque in tempore illo præcepi, dicens : Oculi tui viderunt quæ fecit Dominus Deus vester duobus his regibus : sic faciet omnibus regnis, ad quæ transiturus es. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 21 ׃3   ואת יהושוע צויתי בעת ההוא לאמר עיניך הראת את כל אשר עשה יהוה אלהיכם לשני המלכים האלה כן יעשה יהוה לכל הממלכות אשר אתה עבר שמה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 22  
Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.
- Ne les craignez point; car l'Éternel, votre Dieu, combattra lui-même pour vous. (Ⅱ)
- οὐ φοβηθήσεσθε ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν αὐτὸς πολεμήσει περὶ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)
- Ne timeas eos : Dominus enim Deus vester pugnabit pro vobis. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 22 ׃3   לא תיראום‪[Q]‬‪[n]‬‪[v]‬ כי יהוה אלהיכם הוא הנלחם לכם ס‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 23  
And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,
- En ce temps-là, j'implorai la miséricorde de l'Éternel, en disant: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐδεήθην κυρίου ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ λέγων (Ⅲ)
- Precatusque sum Dominum in tempore illo, dicens : (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 23 ׃3   ואתחנן אל יהוה בעת ההוא לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 24  
O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?
- Seigneur Éternel, tu as commencé à montrer à ton serviteur ta grandeur et ta main puissante; car quel dieu y a-t-il, au ciel et sur la terre, qui puisse imiter tes oeuvres et tes hauts faits? (Ⅱ)
- κύριε κύριε σὺ ἤρξω δει̃ξαι τω̨̃ σω̨̃ θεράποντι τὴν ἰσχύν σου καὶ τὴν δύναμίν σου καὶ τὴν χει̃ρα τὴν κραταιὰν καὶ τὸν βραχίονα τὸν ὑψηλόν τίς γάρ ἐστιν θεὸς ἐν τω̨̃ οὐρανω̨̃ ἢ ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς ὅστις ποιήσει καθὰ σὺ ἐποίησας καὶ κατὰ τὴν ἰσχύν σου (Ⅲ)
- Domine Deus, tu cœpisti ostendere servo tuo magnitudinem tuam, manumque fortissimam : neque enim est alius deus vel in cælo, vel in terra, qui possit facere opera tua, et comparari fortitudini tuæ. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 24 ׃3   אדני יהוה אתה החלות להראות את עבדך את גדלך ואת ידך החזקה אשר מי אל בשמים ובארץ אשר יעשה כמעשיך וכגבורתך ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 25  
I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.
- Laisse-moi passer, je te prie, laisse-moi voir ce bon pays de l'autre côté du Jourdain, ces belles montagnes et le Liban. (Ⅱ)
- διαβὰς οὐ̃ν ὄψομαι τὴν γη̃ν τὴν ἀγαθὴν ταύτην τὴν οὐ̃σαν πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου τὸ ὄρος του̃το τὸ ἀγαθὸν καὶ τὸν 'Αντιλίβανον (Ⅲ)
- Transibo igitur, et videbo terram hanc optimam trans Jordanem, et montem istum egregium, et Libanum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 25 ׃3   אעברה נא ואראה את הארץ הטובה אשר בעבר הירדן ההר הטוב הזה והלבנון ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 26  
But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.
- Mais l'Éternel s'irrita contre moi, à cause de vous, et il ne m'écouta point. L'Éternel me dit: C'est assez, ne me parle plus de cette affaire. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ὑπερει̃δεν κύριος ἐμὲ ἕνεκεν ὑμω̃ν καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσέν μου καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρός με ἱκανούσθω σοι μὴ προσθη̨̃ς ἔτι λαλη̃σαι τὸν λόγον του̃τον (Ⅲ)
- Iratusque est Dominus mihi propter vos, nec exaudivit me, sed dixit mihi : Sufficit tibi : nequaquam ultra loquaris de hac re ad me. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 26 ׃3   ויתעבר יהוה בי למענכם ולא שמע אלי ויאמר יהוה אלי רב לך אל תוסף דבר אלי עוד בדבר הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 27  
Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
- Monte au sommet du Pisga, porte tes regards à l'occident, au nord, au midi et à l'orient, et contemple de tes yeux; car tu ne passeras pas ce Jourdain. (Ⅱ)
- ἀνάβηθι ἐπὶ κορυφὴν Λελαξευμένου καὶ ἀναβλέψας τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ βορρα̃ν καὶ λίβα καὶ ἀνατολὰς καὶ ἰδὲ τοι̃ς ὀφθαλμοι̃ς σου ὅτι οὐ διαβήση̨ τὸν Ιορδάνην του̃τον (Ⅲ)
- Ascende cacumen Phasgæ, et oculos tuos circumfer ad occidentem, et ad aquilonem, austrumque et orientem, et aspice ; nec enim transibis Jordanem istum. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 27 ׃3   עלה ראש הפסגה ושא עיניך ימה וצפנה ותימנה ומזרחה וראה בעיניך כי לא תעבר את הירדן הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 28  
But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
- Donne des ordres à Josué, fortifie-le et affermis-le; car c'est lui qui marchera devant ce peuple et qui le mettra en possession du pays que tu verras. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔντειλαι 'Ιησοι̃ καὶ κατίσχυσον αὐτὸν καὶ παρακάλεσον αὐτόν ὅτι οὑ̃τος διαβήσεται πρὸ προσώπου του̃ λαου̃ τούτου καὶ αὐτὸς κατακληρονομήσει αὐτοι̃ς τὴν γη̃ν ἣν ἑώρακας (Ⅲ)
- Præcipe Josue, et corrobora eum atque conforta : quia ipse præcedet populum istum, et dividet eis terram quam visurus es. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 28 ׃3   וצו את יהושע וחזקהו ואמצהו כי הוא יעבר לפני העם הזה והוא ינחיל אותם את הארץ אשר תראה ‬ (Ⅴ)
3. 29  
So we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.
- Nous demeurâmes dans la vallée, vis-à-vis de Beth Peor. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐνεκαθήμεθα ἐν νάπη̨ σύνεγγυς οἴκου Φογωρ (Ⅲ)
- Mansimusque in valle contra fanum Phogor. (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 29 ׃3   ונשב בגיא מול בית פעור פ‬ (Ⅴ)
