And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
- Voici la bénédiction par laquelle Moïse, homme de Dieu, bénit les enfants d'Israël, avant sa mort. (Ⅱ) - καὶ αὕτη ἡ εὐλογία ἣν εὐλόγησεν Μωυση̃ς ἄνθρωπος του̃ θεου̃ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ πρὸ τη̃ς τελευτη̃ς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Hæc est benedictio, qua benedixit Moyses, homo Dei, filiis Israël ante mortem suam. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃33 וזאת הברכה אשר ברך משה איש האלהים את בני ישראל לפני מותו (Ⅴ)

And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
- Il dit: L'Éternel est venu du Sinaï, Il s'est levé sur eux de Séir, Il a resplendi de la montagne de Paran, Et il est sorti du milieu des saintes myriades: Il leur a de sa droite envoyé le feu de la loi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος ἐκ Σινα ἥκει καὶ ἐπέφανεν ἐκ Σηιρ ἡμι̃ν καὶ κατέσπευσεν ἐξ ὄρους Φαραν σὺν μυριάσιν Καδης ἐκ δεξιω̃ν αὐτου̃ ἄγγελοι μετ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et ait : [Dominus de Sinai venit,/ et de Seir ortus est nobis :/ apparuit de monte Pharan,/ et cum eo sanctorum millia./ In dextera ejus ignea lex./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃33 ויאמר יהוה מסיני בא וזרח משעיר למו הופיע מהר פארן ואתה מרבבת קדש מימינו *אשדת **אש **דת למו (Ⅴ)

Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
- Oui, il aime les peuples; Tous ses saints sont dans ta main. Ils se sont tenus à tes pieds, Ils ont reçu tes paroles. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐφείσατο του̃ λαου̃ αὐτου̃ καὶ πάντες οἱ ἡγιασμένοι ὑπὸ τὰς χει̃ράς σου καὶ οὑ̃τοι ὑπὸ σέ εἰσιν καὶ ἐδέξατο ἀπὸ τω̃ν λόγων αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Dilexit populos,/ omnes sancti in manu illius sunt :/ et qui appropinquant pedibus ejus,/ accipient de doctrina illius./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃33 אף חבב עמים כל קדשיו בידך והם תכו לרגלך ישא מדברתיך (Ⅴ)

Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.

And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.

Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
- Que Ruben vive et qu'il ne meure point, Et que ses hommes soient nombreux! (Ⅱ) - ζήτω Ρουβην καὶ μὴ ἀποθανέτω καὶ ἔστω πολὺς ἐν ἀριθμω̨̃ (Ⅲ) - Vivat Ruben, et non moriatur,/ et sit parvus in numero.] (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃33 יחי ראובן ואל ימת ויהי מתיו מספר ס (Ⅴ)

And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.
- Voici sur Juda ce qu'il dit: Écoute, ô Éternel! la voix de Juda, Et ramène-le vers son peuple. Que ses mains soient puissantes, Et que tu lui sois en aide contre ses ennemis! And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
- Sur Lévi il dit: Les thummim et les urim ont été confiés à l'homme saint, Que tu as tenté à Massa, Et avec qui tu as contesté aux eaux de Meriba. Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
- Lévi dit de son père et de sa mère: Je ne les ai point vus! Il ne distingue point ses frères, Il ne connaît point ses enfants. Car ils observent ta parole, Et ils gardent ton alliance; (Ⅱ) - ὁ λέγων τω̨̃ πατρὶ καὶ τη̨̃ μητρί οὐχ ἑόρακά σε καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτου̃ οὐκ ἐπέγνω καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτου̃ ἀπέγνω ἐφύλαξεν τὰ λόγιά σου καὶ τὴν διαθήκην σου διετήρησεν (Ⅲ) - Qui dixit patri suo et matri suæ : Nescio vos :/ et fratribus suis : Ignoro vos :/ et nescierunt filios suos./ Hi custodierunt eloquium tuum,/ et pactum tuum servaverunt./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃33 האמר לאביו ולאמו לא ראיתיו ואת אחיו לא הכיר ואת *בנו **בניו לא ידע כי שמרו אמרתך ובריתך ינצרו (Ⅴ)

They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
- Ils enseignent tes ordonnances à Jacob, Et ta loi à Israël; Ils mettent l'encens sous tes narines, Et l'holocauste sur ton autel. (Ⅱ) - δηλώσουσιν τὰ δικαιώματά σου τω̨̃ Ιακωβ καὶ τὸν νόμον σου τω̨̃ Ισραηλ ἐπιθήσουσιν θυμίαμα ἐν ὀργη̨̃ σου διὰ παντὸς ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριόν σου (Ⅲ) - Judicia tua, o Jacob,/ et legem tuam, o Israël :/ ponent thymiama in furore tuo,/ et holocaustum super altare tuum./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃33 יורו משפטיך ליעקב ותורתך לישראל ישימו קטורה באפך וכליל על מזבחך (Ⅴ)

Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
- Bénis sa force, ô Éternel! Agrée l'oeuvre de ses mains! Brise les reins de ses adversaires, Et que ses ennemis ne se relèvent plus! (Ⅱ) - εὐλόγησον κύριε τὴν ἰσχὺν αὐτου̃ καὶ τὰ ἔργα τω̃ν χειρω̃ν αὐτου̃ δέξαι κάταξον ὀσφὺν ἐχθρω̃ν ἐπανεστηκότων αὐτω̨̃ καὶ οἱ μισου̃ντες αὐτὸν μὴ ἀναστήτωσαν (Ⅲ) - Benedic, Domine, fortitudini ejus :/ et opera manuum illius suscipe./ Percute dorsa inimicorum ejus :/ et qui oderunt eum, non consurgant.] (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃33 ברך יהוה חילו ופעל ידיו תרצה מחץ מתנים קמיו ומשנאיו מן יקומון ס (Ⅴ)

And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
- Sur Benjamin il dit: C'est le bien-aimé de l'Éternel, Il habitera en sécurité auprès de lui; L'Éternel le couvrira toujours, Et résidera entre ses épaules. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Βενιαμιν εἰ̃πεν ἠγαπημένος ὑπὸ κυρίου κατασκηνώσει πεποιθώς καὶ ὁ θεὸς σκιάζει ἐπ' αὐτω̨̃ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν ὤμων αὐτου̃ κατέπαυσεν (Ⅲ) - Et Benjamin ait : [Amantissimus Domini habitabit confidenter in eo :/ quasi in thalamo tota die morabitur,/ et inter humeros illius requiescet.] (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃33 לבנימן אמר ידיד יהוה ישכן לבטח עליו חפף עליו כל היום ובין כתיפיו שכן ס (Ⅴ)

And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
- Sur Joseph il dit: Son pays recevra de l'Éternel, en signe de bénédiction, Le meilleur don du ciel, la rosée, Les meilleures eaux qui sont en bas, (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Ιωσηφ εἰ̃πεν ἀπ' εὐλογίας κυρίου ἡ γη̃ αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ ὡρω̃ν οὐρανου̃ καὶ δρόσου καὶ ἀπὸ ἀβύσσων πηγω̃ν κάτωθεν (Ⅲ) - Joseph quoque ait : [De benedictione Domini terra ejus,/ de pomis cæli, et rore, atque abysso subjacente./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃33 וליוסף אמר מברכת יהוה ארצו ממגד שמים מטל ומתהום רבצת תחת (Ⅴ)

And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,

And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,

And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
- Les meilleurs produits de la terre et de ce qu'elle renferme. Que la grâce de celui qui apparut dans le buisson Vienne sur la tête de Joseph, Sur le sommet de la tête du prince de ses frères! His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
- De son taureau premier-né il a la majesté; Ses cornes sont les cornes du buffle; Avec elles il frappera tous les peuples, Jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre: Elles sont les myriades d'Éphraïm, Elles sont les milliers de Manassé. And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.
- Sur Zabulon il dit: Réjouis-toi, Zabulon, dans tes courses, Et toi, Issacar, dans tes tentes! (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Ζαβουλων εἰ̃πεν εὐφράνθητι Ζαβουλων ἐν ἐξοδία̨ σου καί Ισσαχαρ ἐν τοι̃ς σκηνώμασιν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et Zabulon ait : [Lætare, Zabulon, in exitu tuo,/ et Issachar in tabernaculis tuis./ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃33 ולזבולן אמר שמח זבולן בצאתך ויששכר באהליך (Ⅴ)

They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
- Ils appelleront les peuples sur la montagne; Là, ils offriront des sacrifices de justice, Car ils suceront l'abondance de la mer, Et les trésors cachés dans le sable. (Ⅱ) - ἔθνη ἐξολεθρεύσουσιν καὶ ἐπικαλέσεσθε ἐκει̃ καὶ θύσετε θυσίαν δικαιοσύνης ὅτι πλου̃τος θαλάσσης θηλάσει σε καὶ ἐμπόρια παράλιον κατοικούντων (Ⅲ) - Populos vocabunt ad montem :/ ibi immolabunt victimas justitiæ./ Qui inundationem maris quasi lac sugent,/ et thesauros absconditos arenarum.] (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃33 עמים הר יקראו שם יזבחו זבחי צדק כי שפע ימים יינקו ושפוני טמוני חול ס (Ⅴ)

And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
- Sur Gad il dit: Béni soit celui qui met Gad au large! Gad repose comme une lionne, Il déchire le bras et la tête. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Γαδ εἰ̃πεν εὐλογημένος ἐμπλατύνων Γαδ ὡς λέων ἀνεπαύσατο συντρίψας βραχίονα καὶ ἄρχοντα (Ⅲ) - Et Gad ait : [Benedictus in latitudine Gad :/ quasi leo requievit,/ cepitque brachium et verticem./ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃33 ולגד אמר ברוך מרחיב גד כלביא שכן וטרף זרוע אף קדקד (Ⅴ)

And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.
- Il a choisi les prémices du pays, Car là est caché l'héritage du législateur; Il a marché en tête du peuple, Il a exécuté la justice de l'Éternel, Et ses ordonnances envers Israël. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃δεν ἀπαρχὴν αὐτου̃ ὅτι ἐκει̃ ἐμερίσθη γη̃ ἀρχόντων συνηγμένων ἅμα ἀρχηγοι̃ς λαω̃ν δικαιοσύνην κύριος ἐποίησεν καὶ κρίσιν αὐτου̃ μετὰ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Et vidit principatum suum,/ quod in parte sua doctor esset repositus :/ qui fuit cum principibus populi,/ et fecit justitias Domini,/ et judicium suum cum Israël.] (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃33 וירא ראשית לו כי שם חלקת מחקק ספון ויתא ראשי עם צדקת יהוה עשה ומשפטיו עם ישראל ס (Ⅴ)

And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
- Sur Dan il dit: Dan est un jeune lion, Qui s'élance de Basan. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Δαν εἰ̃πεν Δαν σκύμνος λέοντος καὶ ἐκπηδήσεται ἐκ του̃ Βασαν (Ⅲ) - Dan quoque ait : [Dan catulus leonis, fluet largiter de Basan.] (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃33 ולדן אמר דן גור אריה יזנק מן הבשן (Ⅴ)

And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favor, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.
- Sur Nephthali il dit: Nephthali, rassasié de faveurs Et comblé des bénédictions de l'Éternel, Prends possession de l'occident et du midi! (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Νεφθαλι εἰ̃πεν Νεφθαλι πλησμονὴ δεκτω̃ν καὶ ἐμπλησθήτω εὐλογίαν παρὰ κυρίου θάλασσαν καὶ λίβα κληρονομήσει (Ⅲ) - Et Nephthali dixit : [Nephthali abundantia perfruetur,/ et plenus erit benedictionibus Domini :/ mare et meridiem possidebit.] (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃33 ולנפתלי אמר נפתלי שבע רצון ומלא ברכת יהוה ים ודרום ירשה ס (Ⅴ)

And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
- Sur Aser il dit: Béni soit Aser entre les enfants d'Israël! Qu'il soit agréable à ses frères, Et qu'il plonge son pied dans l'huile! (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Ασηρ εἰ̃πεν εὐλογητὸς ἀπὸ τέκνων Ασηρ καὶ ἔσται δεκτὸς τοι̃ς ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτου̃ βάψει ἐν ἐλαίω̨ τὸν πόδα αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Aser quoque ait : [Benedictus in filiis Aser,/ sit placens fratribus suis,/ et tingat in oleo pedem suum :/ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃33 ולאשר אמר ברוך מבנים אשר יהי רצוי אחיו וטבל בשמן רגלו (Ⅴ)

Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
- Que tes verrous soient de fer et d'airain, Et que ta vigueur dure autant que tes jours! (Ⅱ) - σίδηρος καὶ χαλκὸς τὸ ὑπόδημα αὐτου̃ ἔσται καὶ ὡς αἱ ἡμέραι σου ἡ ἰσχύς σου (Ⅲ) - ferrum et æs calceamentum ejus./ Sicut dies juventutis tuæ, ita et senectus tua./ (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃33 ברזל ונחשת מנעליך וכימיך דבאך (Ⅴ)

There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
- Nul n'est semblable au Dieu d'Israël, Il est porté sur les cieux pour venir à ton aide, Il est avec majesté porté sur les nuées. (Ⅱ) - οὐκ ἔστιν ὥσπερ ὁ θεὸς του̃ ἠγαπημένου ὁ ἐπιβαίνων ἐπὶ τὸν οὐρανὸν βοηθός σου καὶ ὁ μεγαλοπρεπὴς του̃ στερεώματος (Ⅲ) - Non est deus alius ut Deus rectissimi,/ ascensor cæli, auxiliator tuus./ Magnificentia ejus discurrunt nubes,/ (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃33 אין כאל ישרון רכב שמים בעזרך ובגאותו שחקים (Ⅴ)

The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
- Le Dieu d'éternité est un refuge, Et sous ses bras éternels est une retraite. Devant toi il a chassé l'ennemi, Et il a dit: Extermine. (Ⅱ) - καὶ σκέπασις θεου̃ ἀρχη̃ς καὶ ὑπὸ ἰσχὺν βραχιόνων ἀενάων καὶ ἐκβαλει̃ ἀπὸ προσώπου σου ἐχθρὸν λέγων ἀπόλοιο (Ⅲ) - habitaculum ejus sursum,/ et subter brachia sempiterna/ ejiciet a facie tua inimicum,/ dicetque : Conterere./ (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃33 מענה אלהי קדם ומתחת זרעת עולם ויגרש מפניך אויב ויאמר השמד (Ⅴ)

Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
- Israël est en sécurité dans sa demeure, La source de Jacob est à part Dans un pays de blé et de moût, Et son ciel distille la rosée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ κατασκηνώσει Ισραηλ πεποιθὼς μόνος ἐπὶ γη̃ς Ιακωβ ἐπὶ σίτω̨ καὶ οἴνω̨ καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς αὐτω̨̃ συννεφὴς δρόσω̨ (Ⅲ) - Habitabit Israël confidenter, et solus./ Oculus Jacob in terra frumenti et vini,/ cælique caligabunt rore./ (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃33 וישכן ישראל בטח בדד עין יעקב אל ארץ דגן ותירוש אף שמיו יערפו[P][c] טל (Ⅴ)

Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
- Que tu es heureux, Israël! Qui est comme toi, Un peuple sauvé par l'Éternel, Le bouclier de ton secours Et l'épée de ta gloire? Tes ennemis feront défaut devant toi, Et tu fouleras leurs lieux élevés. (Ⅱ) - μακάριος σύ Ισραηλ τίς ὅμοιός σοι λαὸς σω̨ζόμενος ὑπὸ κυρίου ὑπερασπιει̃ ὁ βοηθός σου καὶ ἡ μάχαιρα καύχημά σου καὶ ψεύσονταί σε οἱ ἐχθροί σου καὶ σὺ ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτω̃ν ἐπιβήση̨ (Ⅲ) - Beatus es tu, Israël :/ quis similis tui, popule, qui salvaris in Domino ?/ Scutum auxilii tui,/ et gladius gloriæ tuæ :/ negabunt te inimici tui,/ et tu eorum colla calcabis.] (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃33 אשריך ישראל מי כמוך עם נושע ביהוה מגן עזרך ואשר חרב גאותך ויכחשו איביך לך ואתה על במותימו תדרך ס (Ⅴ)
