Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
- Voici les commandements, les lois et les ordonnances que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a commandé de vous enseigner, afin que vous les mettiez en pratique dans le pays dont vous allez prendre possession; (Ⅱ) - καὶ αὑ̃ται αἱ ἐντολαὶ καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν διδάξαι ὑμα̃ς ποιει̃ν οὕτως ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ εἰς ἣν ὑμει̃ς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκει̃ κληρονομη̃σαι αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Hæc sunt præcepta, et cæremoniæ, atque judicia, quæ mandavit Dominus Deus vester ut docerem vos, et faciatis ea in terra, ad quam transgredimini possidendam : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃6 וזאת המצוה החקים והמשפטים אשר צוה יהוה אלהיכם ללמד אתכם לעשות בארץ אשר אתם עברים שמה לרשתה (Ⅴ)

That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
- afin que tu craignes l'Éternel, ton Dieu, en observant, tous les jours de ta vie, toi, ton fils, et le fils de ton fils, toutes ses lois et tous ses commandements que je te prescris, et afin que tes jours soient prolongés. (Ⅱ) - ἵνα φοβη̃σθε κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμω̃ν φυλάσσεσθαι πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτου̃ καὶ τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτου̃ ὅσας ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν σου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τη̃ς ζωη̃ς σου ἵνα μακροημερεύσητε (Ⅲ) - ut timeas Dominum Deum tuum, et custodias omnia mandata et præcepta ejus, quæ ego præcipio tibi, et filiis, ac nepotibus tuis, cunctis diebus vitæ tuæ, ut prolongentur dies tui. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃6 למען תירא את יהוה אלהיך לשמר את כל חקתיו ומצותיו אשר אנכי מצוך אתה ובנך ובן בנך כל ימי חייך ולמען יארכן ימיך (Ⅴ)

Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
- Tu les écouteras donc, Israël, et tu auras soin de les mettre en pratique, afin que tu sois heureux et que vous multipliiez beaucoup, comme te l'a dit l'Éternel, le Dieu de tes pères, en te promettant un pays où coulent le lait et le miel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἄκουσον Ισραηλ καὶ φύλαξαι ποιει̃ν ὅπως εὐ̃ σοι ἠ̨̃ καὶ ἵνα πληθυνθη̃τε σφόδρα καθάπερ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τω̃ν πατέρων σου δου̃ναί σοι γη̃ν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι (Ⅲ) - Audi, Israël, et observa ut facias quæ præcepit tibi Dominus, et bene sit tibi, et multipliceris amplius, sicut pollicitus est Dominus Deus patrum tuorum tibi terram lacte et melle manantem. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃6 ושמעת ישראל ושמרת לעשות אשר ייטב לך ואשר תרבון מאד כאשר דבר יהוה אלהי אבתיך לך ארץ זבת חלב ודבש פ (Ⅴ)

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
- Écoute, Israël! l'Éternel, notre Dieu, est le seul Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ταυ̃τα τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο κύριος τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ ἐξελθόντων αὐτω̃ν ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου ἄκουε Ισραηλ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν κύριος εἱ̃ς ἐστιν (Ⅲ) - Audi, Israël : Dominus Deus noster, Dominus unus est. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃6 שמע[5] ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד[5] (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
- Tu aimeras l'Éternel, ton Dieu, de tout ton coeur, de toute ton âme et de toute ta force. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀγαπήσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς καρδίας σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς ψυχη̃ς σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς δυνάμεώς σου (Ⅲ) - Diliges Dominum Deum tuum ex toto corde tuo, et ex tota anima tua, et ex tota fortitudine tua. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃6 ואהבת את יהוה אלהיך בכל לבבך ובכל נפשך ובכל מאדך (Ⅴ)

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
- Et ces commandements, que je te donne aujourd'hui, seront dans ton coeur. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται τὰ ῥήματα ταυ̃τα ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ σου καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ ψυχη̨̃ σου (Ⅲ) - Eruntque verba hæc, quæ ego præcipio tibi hodie, in corde tuo : (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃6 והיו הדברים האלה אשר אנכי מצוך היום על לבבך (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
- Tu les inculqueras à tes enfants, et tu en parleras quand tu seras dans ta maison, quand tu iras en voyage, quand tu te coucheras et quand tu te lèveras. (Ⅱ) - καὶ προβιβάσεις αὐτὰ τοὺς υἱούς σου καὶ λαλήσεις ἐν αὐτοι̃ς καθήμενος ἐν οἴκω̨ καὶ πορευόμενος ἐν ὁδω̨̃ καὶ κοιταζόμενος καὶ διανιστάμενος (Ⅲ) - et narrabis ea filiis tuis, et meditaberis in eis sedens in domo tua, et ambulans in itinere, dormiens atque consurgens. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃6 ושננתם לבניך ודברת בם בשבתך בביתך ובלכתך בדרך ובשכבך ובקומך (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
- Tu les lieras comme un signe sur tes mains, et ils seront comme des fronteaux entre tes yeux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀφάψεις αὐτὰ εἰς σημει̃ον ἐπὶ τη̃ς χειρός σου καὶ ἔσται ἀσάλευτον πρὸ ὀφθαλμω̃ν σου (Ⅲ) - Et ligabis ea quasi signum in manu tua, eruntque et movebuntur inter oculos tuos, (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃6 וקשרתם לאות על ידך והיו לטטפת בין עיניך (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
- Tu les écriras sur les poteaux de ta maison et sur tes portes. (Ⅱ) - καὶ γράψετε αὐτὰ ἐπὶ τὰς φλιὰς τω̃ν οἰκιω̃ν ὑμω̃ν καὶ τω̃ν πυλω̃ν ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - scribesque ea in limine, et ostiis domus tuæ.\ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃6 וכתבתם על מזוזת ביתך ובשעריך ס (Ⅴ)

And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
- L'Éternel, ton Dieu, te fera entrer dans le pays qu'il a juré à tes pères, à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, de te donner. Tu posséderas de grandes et bonnes villes que tu n'as point bâties, (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ὅταν εἰσαγάγη̨ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς τὴν γη̃ν ἣν ὤμοσεν τοι̃ς πατράσιν σου τω̨̃ Αβρααμ καὶ Ισαακ καὶ Ιακωβ δου̃ναί σοι πόλεις μεγάλας καὶ καλάς ἃς οὐκ ὠ̨κοδόμησας (Ⅲ) - Cumque introduxerit te Dominus Deus tuus in terram, pro qua juravit patribus tuis Abraham, Isaac, et Jacob, et dederit tibi civitates magnas et optimas, quas non ædificasti, (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃6 והיה כי יביאך יהוה אלהיך אל הארץ אשר נשבע לאבתיך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב לתת לך ערים גדלת וטבת אשר לא בנית (Ⅴ)

And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
- des maisons qui sont pleines de toutes sortes de biens et que tu n'as point remplies, des citernes creusées que tu n'as point creusées, des vignes et des oliviers que tu n'as point plantés. (Ⅱ) - οἰκίας πλήρεις πάντων ἀγαθω̃ν ἃς οὐκ ἐνέπλησας λάκκους λελατομημένους οὓς οὐκ ἐξελατόμησας ἀμπελω̃νας καὶ ἐλαιω̃νας οὓς οὐ κατεφύτευσας καὶ φαγὼν καὶ ἐμπλησθεὶς (Ⅲ) - domos plenas cunctarum opum, quas non exstruxisti, cisternas, quas non fodisti, vineta et oliveta, quæ non plantasti, (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃6 ובתים מלאים כל טוב אשר לא מלאת וברת חצובים אשר לא חצבת כרמים וזיתים אשר לא נטעת ואכלת ושבעת (Ⅴ)

Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
- Lorsque tu mangeras et te rassasieras, garde-toi d'oublier l'Éternel, qui t'a fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, de la maison de servitude. (Ⅱ) - πρόσεχε σεαυτω̨̃ μὴ ἐπιλάθη̨ κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου του̃ ἐξαγαγόντος σε ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου ἐξ οἴκου δουλείας (Ⅲ) - et comederis, et saturatus fueris : (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃6 השמר לך פן תשכח את יהוה אשר הוציאך מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים (Ⅴ)

Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
- Tu craindras l'Éternel, ton Dieu, tu le serviras, et tu jureras par son nom. (Ⅱ) - κύριον τὸν θεόν σου φοβηθήση̨ καὶ αὐτω̨̃ λατρεύσεις καὶ πρὸς αὐτὸν κολληθήση̨ καὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματι αὐτου̃ ὀμη̨̃ (Ⅲ) - cave diligenter ne obliviscaris Domini, qui eduxit te de terra Ægypti, de domo servitutis. Dominum Deum tuum timebis, et illi soli servies, ac per nomen illius jurabis. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃6 את יהוה אלהיך תירא ואתו תעבד ובשמו תשבע (Ⅴ)

Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
- Vous n'irez point après d'autres dieux, d'entre les dieux des peuples qui sont autour de vous; (Ⅱ) - οὐ πορεύσεσθε ὀπίσω θεω̃ν ἑτέρων ἀπὸ τω̃ν θεω̃ν τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν τω̃ν περικύκλω̨ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Non ibitis post deos alienos cunctarum gentium, quæ in circuitu vestro sunt : (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃6 לא תלכון אחרי אלהים אחרים מאלהי העמים אשר סביבותיכם (Ⅴ)

(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
- car l'Éternel, ton Dieu, est un Dieu jaloux au milieu de toi. La colère de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, s'enflammerait contre toi, et il t'exterminerait de dessus la terre. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι θεὸς ζηλωτὴς κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν σοί μὴ ὀργισθεὶς θυμωθη̨̃ κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν σοὶ καὶ ἐξολεθρεύση̨ σε ἀπὸ προσώπου τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - quoniam Deus æmulator Dominus Deus tuus in medio tui : nequando irascatur furor Domini Dei tui contra te, et auferat te de superficie terræ. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃6 כי אל קנא יהוה אלהיך בקרבך פן יחרה אף יהוה אלהיך בך והשמידך מעל פני האדמה ס (Ⅴ)

Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
- Vous ne tenterez point l'Éternel, votre Dieu, comme vous l'avez tenté à Massa. (Ⅱ) - οὐκ ἐκπειράσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου ὃν τρόπον ἐξεπειράσασθε ἐν τω̨̃ Πειρασμω̨̃ (Ⅲ) - Non tentabis Dominum Deum tuum, sicut tentasti in loco tentationis. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃6 לא תנסו את יהוה אלהיכם כאשר נסיתם במסה (Ⅴ)

Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
- Mais vous observerez les commandements de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, ses ordonnances et ses lois qu'il vous a prescrites. (Ⅱ) - φυλάσσων φυλάξη̨ τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου τὰ μαρτύρια καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα ὅσα ἐνετείλατό σοι (Ⅲ) - Custodi præcepta Domini Dei tui, ac testimonia et cæremonias, quas præcepit tibi : (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃6 שמור תשמרון את מצות יהוה אלהיכם ועדתיו וחקיו אשר צוך (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers.
- Tu feras ce qui est droit et ce qui est bien aux yeux de l'Éternel, afin que tu sois heureux, et que tu entres en possession du bon pays que l'Éternel a juré à tes pères de te donner, (Ⅱ) - καὶ ποιήσεις τὸ ἀρεστὸν καὶ τὸ καλὸν ἐναντίον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ὑμω̃ν ἵνα εὐ̃ σοι γένηται καὶ εἰσέλθη̨ς καὶ κληρονομήση̨ς τὴν γη̃ν τὴν ἀγαθήν ἣν ὤμοσεν κύριος τοι̃ς πατράσιν ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - et fac quod placitum est et bonum in conspectu Domini, ut bene sit tibi : et ingressus possideas terram optimam, de qua juravit Dominus patribus tuis, (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃6 ועשית הישר והטוב בעיני יהוה למען ייטב לך ובאת וירשת את הארץ הטבה אשר נשבע יהוה לאבתיך (Ⅴ)

To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.
- après qu'il aura chassé tous tes ennemis devant toi, comme l'Éternel l'a dit. (Ⅱ) - ἐκδιω̃ξαι πάντας τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου πρὸ προσώπου σου καθὰ ἐλάλησεν (Ⅲ) - ut deleret omnes inimicos tuos coram te, sicut locutus est.\ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃6 להדף את כל איביך מפניך כאשר דבר יהוה ס (Ⅴ)

And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
- Lorsque ton fils te demandera un jour: Que signifient ces préceptes, ces lois et ces ordonnances, que l'Éternel, notre Dieu, vous a prescrits? (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ὅταν ἐρωτήση̨ σε ὁ υἱός σου αὔριον λέγων τί ἐστιν τὰ μαρτύρια καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν ἡμι̃ν (Ⅲ) - Cumque interrogaverit te filius tuus cras, dicens : Quid sibi volunt testimonia hæc, et cæremoniæ, atque judicia, quæ præcepit Dominus Deus noster nobis ? (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃6 כי ישאלך בנך מחר לאמר מה העדת והחקים והמשפטים אשר צוה יהוה אלהינו אתכם (Ⅴ)

Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
- tu diras à ton fils: Nous étions esclaves de Pharaon en Égypte, et l'Éternel nous a fait sortir de l'Égypte par sa main puissante. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐρει̃ς τω̨̃ υἱω̨̃ σου οἰκέται ἠ̃μεν τω̨̃ Φαραω ἐν γη̨̃ Αἰγύπτω̨ καὶ ἐξήγαγεν ἡμα̃ς κύριος ἐκει̃θεν ἐν χειρὶ κραταια̨̃ καὶ ἐν βραχίονι ὑψηλω̨̃ (Ⅲ) - dices ei : Servi eramus Pharaonis in Ægypto, et eduxit nos Dominus de Ægypto in manu forti : (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃6 ואמרת לבנך עבדים היינו לפרעה במצרים ויוציאנו יהוה ממצרים ביד חזקה (Ⅴ)

And the LORD showed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
- L'Éternel a opéré, sous nos yeux, des miracles et des prodiges, grands et désastreux, contre l'Égypte, contre Pharaon et contre toute sa maison; (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔδωκεν κύριος σημει̃α καὶ τέρατα μεγάλα καὶ πονηρὰ ἐν Αἰγύπτω̨ ἐν Φαραω καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ ἐνώπιον ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - fecitque signa atque prodigia magna et pessima in Ægypto contra Pharaonem, et omnem domum illius in conspectu nostro, (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃6 ויתן יהוה אותת ומפתים גדלים ורעים במצרים בפרעה ובכל ביתו לעינינו (Ⅴ)

And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
- et il nous a fait sortir de là, pour nous amener dans le pays qu'il avait juré à nos pères de nous donner. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἡμα̃ς ἐξήγαγεν ἐκει̃θεν ἵνα εἰσαγάγη̨ ἡμα̃ς δου̃ναι ἡμι̃ν τὴν γη̃ν ταύτην ἣν ὤμοσεν δου̃ναι τοι̃ς πατράσιν ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - et eduxit nos inde, ut introductis daret terram, super qua juravit patribus nostris. (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃6 ואותנו הוציא משם למען הביא אתנו לתת לנו את הארץ אשר נשבע לאבתינו (Ⅴ)

And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
- L'Éternel nous a commandé de mettre en pratique toutes ces lois, et de craindre l'Éternel, notre Dieu, afin que nous fussions toujours heureux, et qu'il nous conservât la vie, comme il le fait aujourd'hui. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐνετείλατο ἡμι̃ν κύριος ποιει̃ν πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα ταυ̃τα φοβει̃σθαι κύριον τὸν θεὸν ἡμω̃ν ἵνα εὐ̃ ἠ̨̃ ἡμι̃ν πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἵνα ζω̃μεν ὥσπερ καὶ σήμερον (Ⅲ) - Præcepitque nobis Dominus ut faciamus omnia legitima hæc, et timeamus Dominum Deum nostrum, ut bene sit nobis cunctis diebus vitæ nostræ, sicut est hodie. (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃6 ויצונו יהוה לעשות את כל החקים האלה ליראה את יהוה אלהינו לטוב לנו כל הימים לחיתנו כהיום הזה (Ⅴ)

And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
- Nous aurons la justice en partage, si nous mettons soigneusement en pratique tous ces commandements devant l'Éternel, notre Dieu, comme il nous l'a ordonné. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐλεημοσύνη ἔσται ἡμι̃ν ἐὰν φυλασσώμεθα ποιει̃ν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς ταύτας ἐναντίον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν καθὰ ἐνετείλατο ἡμι̃ν κύριος (Ⅲ) - Eritque nostri misericors, si custodierimus et fecerimus omnia præcepta ejus coram Domino Deo nostro, sicut mandavit nobis. (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃6 וצדקה תהיה לנו כי נשמר לעשות את כל המצוה הזאת לפני יהוה אלהינו כאשר צונו ס (Ⅴ)
