Paul, prisonnier de Jésus Christ, et le frère Timothée, à Philémon, notre bien-aimé et notre compagnon d'oeuvre,
- Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer, (Ⅱ)
- Παῦλος δέσμιος Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ καὶ Τιμόθεος ὁ ἀδελφὸς Φιλήμονι τῷ ἀγαπητῷ καὶ συνεργῷ ἡμῶν (Ⅲ)
- Paulus vinctus Christi Jesu, et Timotheus frater, Philemoni dilecto, et adjutori nostro, (Ⅳ)

à la soeur Apphia, à Archippe, notre compagnon de combat, et à l'Église qui est dans ta maison:
- And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ Ἀπφίᾳ τῇ ⸀ἀδελφῇ καὶ Ἀρχίππῳ τῷ συστρατιώτῃ ἡμῶν καὶ τῇ κατ’ οἶκόν σου ἐκκλησίᾳ· (Ⅲ)
- et Appiæ sorori carissimæ, et Archippo commilitoni nostro, et ecclesiæ, quæ in domo tua est. (Ⅳ)

que la grâce et la paix vous soient données de la part de Dieu notre Père et du Seigneur Jésus Christ!
- Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ⅱ)
- χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη ἀπὸ θεοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Gratia vobis, et pax a Deo Patre nostro, et Domino Jesu Christo.\ (Ⅳ)

Je rends continuellement grâces à mon Dieu, faisant mention de toi dans mes prières,
- I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, (Ⅱ)
- Εὐχαριστῶ τῷ θεῷ μου πάντοτε μνείαν σου ποιούμενος ἐπὶ τῶν προσευχῶν μου, (Ⅲ)
- Gratias ago Deo meo, semper memoriam tui faciens in orationibus meis, (Ⅳ)

parce que je suis informé de la foi que tu as au Seigneur Jésus et de ta charité pour tous les saints.
- Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; (Ⅱ)
- ἀκούων σου τὴν ἀγάπην καὶ τὴν πίστιν ἣν ἔχεις ⸀πρὸς τὸν κύριον Ἰησοῦν καὶ εἰς πάντας τοὺς ἁγίους, (Ⅲ)
- audiens caritatem tuam, et fidem, quam habes in Domino Jesu, et in omnes sanctos : (Ⅳ)

Je lui demande que ta participation à la foi soit efficace pour la cause de Christ, en faisant reconnaître en nous toute espèce de bien.
- That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. (Ⅱ)
- ὅπως ἡ κοινωνία τῆς πίστεώς σου ἐνεργὴς γένηται ἐν ἐπιγνώσει παντὸς ἀγαθοῦ ⸀τοῦ ἐν ἡμῖν εἰς ⸀Χριστόν· (Ⅲ)
- ut communicatio fidei tuæ evidens fiat in agnitione omnis operis boni, quod est in vobis in Christo Jesu. (Ⅳ)

J'ai, en effet, éprouvé beaucoup de joie et de consolation au sujet de ta charité; car par toi, frère, le coeur des saints a été tranquillisé.
- For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀χαρὰν γὰρ ⸂πολλὴν ἔσχον⸃ καὶ παράκλησιν ἐπὶ τῇ ἀγάπῃ σου, ὅτι τὰ σπλάγχνα τῶν ἁγίων ἀναπέπαυται διὰ σοῦ, ἀδελφέ. (Ⅲ)
- Gaudium enim magnum habui, et consolationem in caritate tua : quia viscera sanctorum requieverunt per te, frater.\ (Ⅳ)

C'est pourquoi, bien que j'aie en Christ toute liberté de te prescrire ce qui est convenable,
- Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient, (Ⅱ)
- Διό, πολλὴν ἐν Χριστῷ παρρησίαν ἔχων ἐπιτάσσειν σοι τὸ ἀνῆκον, (Ⅲ)
- Propter quod multam fiduciam habens in Christo Jesu imperandi tibi quod ad rem pertinet : (Ⅳ)

c'est de préférence au nom de la charité que je t'adresse une prière, étant ce que je suis, Paul, vieillard, et de plus maintenant prisonnier de Jésus Christ.
- Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. (Ⅱ)
- διὰ τὴν ἀγάπην μᾶλλον παρακαλῶ, τοιοῦτος ὢν ὡς Παῦλος πρεσβύτης νυνὶ δὲ καὶ δέσμιος ⸂Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ⸃— (Ⅲ)
- propter caritatem magis obsecro, cum sis talis, ut Paulus senex, nunc autem et vinctus Jesu Christi : (Ⅳ)

Je te prie pour mon enfant, que j'ai engendré étant dans les chaînes, Onésime,
- I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: (Ⅱ)
- παρακαλῶ σε περὶ τοῦ ἐμοῦ τέκνου, ὃν ἐγέννησα ἐν τοῖς ⸀δεσμοῖς Ὀνήσιμον, (Ⅲ)
- obsecro te pro meo filio, quem genui in vinculis, Onesimo, (Ⅳ)

qui autrefois t'a été inutile, mais qui maintenant est utile, et à toi et à moi.
- Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me: (Ⅱ)
- τόν ποτέ σοι ἄχρηστον νυνὶ ⸀δὲ σοὶ καὶ ἐμοὶ εὔχρηστον, (Ⅲ)
- qui tibi aliquando inutilis fuit, nunc autem et mihi et tibi utilis, (Ⅳ)

Je te le renvoie lui, mes propres entrailles.
- Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels: (Ⅱ)
- ὃν ἀνέπεμψά ⸂σοι αὐτόν, τοῦτ’ ἔστιν τὰ ἐμὰ σπλάγχνα⸃· (Ⅲ)
- quem remisi tibi. Tu autem illum, ut mea viscera, suscipe : (Ⅳ)

J'aurais désiré le retenir auprès de moi, pour qu'il me servît à ta place, pendant que je suis dans les chaînes pour l'Évangile.
- Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel: (Ⅱ)
- ὃν ἐγὼ ἐβουλόμην πρὸς ἐμαυτὸν κατέχειν, ἵνα ὑπὲρ σοῦ ⸂μοι διακονῇ⸃ ἐν τοῖς δεσμοῖς τοῦ εὐαγγελίου, (Ⅲ)
- quem ego volueram mecum detinere, ut pro te mihi ministraret in vinculis Evangelii : (Ⅳ)

Toutefois, je n'ai rien voulu faire sans ton avis, afin que ton bienfait ne soit pas comme forcé, mais qu'il soit volontaire.
- But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. (Ⅱ)
- χωρὶς δὲ τῆς σῆς γνώμης οὐδὲν ἠθέλησα ποιῆσαι, ἵνα μὴ ὡς κατὰ ἀνάγκην τὸ ἀγαθόν σου ᾖ ἀλλὰ κατὰ ἑκούσιον· (Ⅲ)
- sine consilio autem tuo nihil volui facere, uti ne velut ex necessitate bonum tuum esset, sed voluntarium. (Ⅳ)

Peut-être a-t-il été séparé de toi pour un temps, afin que tu le recouvres pour l'éternité,
- For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever; (Ⅱ)
- τάχα γὰρ διὰ τοῦτο ἐχωρίσθη πρὸς ὥραν ἵνα αἰώνιον αὐτὸν ἀπέχῃς, (Ⅲ)
- Forsitan enim ideo discessit ad horam a te, ut æternum illum reciperes : (Ⅳ)

non plus comme un esclave, mais comme supérieur à un esclave, comme un frère bien-aimé, de moi particulièrement, et de toi à plus forte raison, soit dans la chair, soit dans le Seigneur.
- Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? (Ⅱ)
- οὐκέτι ὡς δοῦλον ἀλλὰ ὑπὲρ δοῦλον, ἀδελφὸν ἀγαπητόν, μάλιστα ἐμοί, πόσῳ δὲ μᾶλλον σοὶ καὶ ἐν σαρκὶ καὶ ἐν κυρίῳ. (Ⅲ)
- jam non ut servum, sed pro servo carissimum fratrem, maxime mihi : quanto autem magis tibi et in carne, et in Domino ? (Ⅳ)

Si donc tu me tiens pour ton ami, reçois-le comme moi-même.
- If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. (Ⅱ)
- Εἰ οὖν με ἔχεις κοινωνόν, προσλαβοῦ αὐτὸν ὡς ἐμέ. (Ⅲ)
- Si ergo habes me socium, suscipe illum sicut me : (Ⅳ)

Et s'il t'a fait quelque tort, ou s'il te doit quelque chose, mets-le sur mon compte.
- If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account; (Ⅱ)
- εἰ δέ τι ἠδίκησέν σε ἢ ὀφείλει, τοῦτο ἐμοὶ ⸀ἐλλόγα· (Ⅲ)
- si autem aliquid nocuit tibi, aut debet, hoc mihi imputa. (Ⅳ)

Moi Paul, je l'écris de ma propre main, -je paierai, pour ne pas te dire que tu te dois toi-même à moi.
- I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides. (Ⅱ)
- ἐγὼ Παῦλος ἔγραψα τῇ ἐμῇ χειρί, ἐγὼ ἀποτίσω· ἵνα μὴ λέγω σοι ὅτι καὶ σεαυτόν μοι προσοφείλεις. (Ⅲ)
- Ego Paulus scripsi mea manu : ego reddam, ut non dicam tibi, quod et teipsum mihi debes : (Ⅳ)

Oui, frère, que j'obtienne de toi cet avantage, dans le Seigneur; tranquillise mon coeur en Christ.
- Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord. (Ⅱ)
- ναί, ἀδελφέ, ἐγώ σου ὀναίμην ἐν κυρίῳ· ἀνάπαυσόν μου τὰ σπλάγχνα ἐν ⸀Χριστῷ. (Ⅲ)
- ita, frater. Ego te fruar in Domino : refice viscera mea in Domino. (Ⅳ)

C'est en comptant sur ton obéissance que je t'écris, sachant que tu feras même au delà de ce que je dis.
- Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say. (Ⅱ)
- πεποιθὼς τῇ ὑπακοῇ σου ἔγραψά σοι, εἰδὼς ὅτι καὶ ὑπὲρ ⸀ἃ λέγω ποιήσεις. (Ⅲ)
- Confidens in obedientia tua scripsi tibi : sciens quoniam et super id, quod dico, facies.\ (Ⅳ)

En même temps, prépare-moi un logement, car j'espère vous être rendu, grâce à vos prières.
- But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you. (Ⅱ)
- ἅμα δὲ καὶ ἑτοίμαζέ μοι ξενίαν, ἐλπίζω γὰρ ὅτι διὰ τῶν προσευχῶν ὑμῶν χαρισθήσομαι ὑμῖν. (Ⅲ)
- Simul autem et para mihi hospitium : nam spero per orationes vestras donari me vobis. (Ⅳ)

Épaphras, mon compagnon de captivité en Jésus Christ,
- There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus; (Ⅱ)
- ⸀Ἀσπάζεταί σε Ἐπαφρᾶς ὁ συναιχμάλωτός μου ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ, (Ⅲ)
- Salutat te Epaphras concaptivus meus in Christo Jesu, (Ⅳ)

te salue, ainsi que Marc, Aristarque, Démas, Luc, mes compagnons d'oeuvre.
- Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers. (Ⅱ)

Que la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec votre esprit!
- The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. (Ⅱ)
- Ἡ χάρις τοῦ ⸀κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μετὰ τοῦ πνεύματος ⸀ὑμῶν. (Ⅲ)
