22. 1

Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,

- Alors Josué appela les Rubénites, les Gadites et la demi-tribu de Manassé. (Ⅱ)

- τότε συνεκάλεσεν 'Ιησου̃ς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ρουβην καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Γαδ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλη̃ς Μανασση (Ⅲ)

- Eodem tempore vocavit Josue Rubenitas, et Gaditas, et dimidiam tribum Manasse, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃22 אז יקרא יהושע לראובני ולגדי ולחצי מטה מנשה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 2

And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you:

- Il leur dit: Vous avez observé tout ce que vous a prescrit Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, et vous avez obéi à ma voix dans tout ce que je vous ai ordonné. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτοι̃ς ὑμει̃ς ἀκηκόατε πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο ὑμι̃ν Μωυση̃ς ὁ παι̃ς κυρίου καὶ ἐπηκούσατε τη̃ς φωνη̃ς μου κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνετειλάμην ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ)

- dixitque ad eos : Fecistis omnia quæ præcepit vobis Moyses famulus Domini : mihi quoque in omnibus obedistis, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃22 ויאמר אליהם אתם שמרתם את כל אשר צוה אתכם משה עבד יהוה ותשמעו בקולי לכל אשר צויתי אתכם ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 3

Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the LORD your God.

- Vous n'avez point abandonné vos frères, depuis un long espace de temps jusqu'à ce jour; et vous avez gardé les ordres, les commandements de l'Éternel, votre Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- οὐκ ἐγκαταλελοίπατε τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμω̃ν ταύτας τὰς ἡμέρας καὶ πλείους ἕως τη̃ς σήμερον ἡμέρας ἐφυλάξασθε τὴν ἐντολὴν κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- nec reliquistis fratres vestros longo tempore, usque in præsentem diem, custodientes imperium Domini Dei vestri. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃22 לא עזבתם את אחיכם זה ימים רבים עד היום הזה ושמרתם את משמרת מצות יהוה אלהיכם ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 4

And now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side Jordan.

- Maintenant que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a accordé du repos à vos frères, comme il le leur avait dit, retournez et allez vers vos tentes, dans le pays qui vous appartient, et que Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, vous a donné de l'autre côté du Jourdain. (Ⅱ)

- νυ̃ν δὲ κατέπαυσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ἡμω̃ν ὃν τρόπον εἰ̃πεν αὐτοι̃ς νυ̃ν οὐ̃ν ἀποστραφέντες ἀπέλθατε εἰς τοὺς οἴκους ὑμω̃ν καὶ εἰς τὴν γη̃ν τη̃ς κατασχέσεως ὑμω̃ν ἣν ἔδωκεν ὑμι̃ν Μωυση̃ς ἐν τω̨̃ πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου (Ⅲ)

- Quia igitur dedit Dominus Deus vester fratribus vestris quietem et pacem, sicut pollicitus est : revertimini, et ite in tabernacula vestra, et in terram possessionis, quam tradidit vobis Moyses famulus Domini trans Jordanem : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃22 ועתה הניח יהוה אלהיכם לאחיכם כאשר דבר להם ועתה פנו ולכו לכם לאהליכם אל ארץ אחזתכם אשר נתן לכם משה עבד יהוה בעבר הירדן ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 5

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

- Ayez soin seulement d'observer et de mettre en pratique les ordonnances et les lois que vous a prescrites Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel: aimez l'Éternel, votre Dieu, marchez dans toutes ses voies, gardez ses commandements, attachez-vous à lui, et servez-le de tout votre coeur et de toute votre âme. (Ⅱ)

- ἀλλὰ φυλάξασθε ποιει̃ν σφόδρα τὰς ἐντολὰς καὶ τὸν νόμον ὃν ἐνετείλατο ἡμι̃ν ποιει̃ν Μωυση̃ς ὁ παι̃ς κυρίου ἀγαπα̃ν κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμω̃ν πορεύεσθαι πάσαις ται̃ς ὁδοι̃ς αὐτου̃ φυλάξασθαι τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτου̃ καὶ προσκει̃σθαι αὐτω̨̃ καὶ λατρεύειν αὐτω̨̃ ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς διανοίας ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς ψυχη̃ς ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- ita dumtaxat ut custodiatis attente, et opere compleatis mandatum et legem quam præcepit vobis Moyses famulus Domini, ut diligatis Dominum Deum vestrum, et ambuletis in omnibus viis ejus, et observetis mandata illius, adhæreatisque ei, ac serviatis in omni corde, et in omni anima vestra. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃22 רק שמרו מאד לעשות את המצוה ואת התורה אשר צוה אתכם משה עבד יהוה לאהבה את יהוה אלהיכם וללכת בכל דרכיו ולשמר מצותיו ולדבקה בו ולעבדו בכל לבבכם ובכל נפשכם ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 6

So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.

- Et Josué les bénit et les renvoya, et ils s'en allèrent vers leurs tentes. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ηὐλόγησεν αὐτοὺς 'Ιησου̃ς καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτούς καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Benedixitque eis Josue, et dimisit eos. Qui reversi sunt in tabernacula sua. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃22 ויברכם יהושע וישלחם וילכו אל אהליהם ס‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 7

Now to the one half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given possession in Bashan: but unto the other half thereof gave Joshua among their brethren on this side Jordan westward. And when Joshua sent them away also unto their tents, then he blessed them,

- Moïse avait donné à une moitié de la tribu de Manassé un héritage en Basan, et Josué donna à l'autre moitié un héritage auprès de ses frères en deçà du Jourdain, à l'occident. Lorsque Josué les renvoya vers leurs tentes, il les bénit, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ τω̨̃ ἡμίσει φυλη̃ς Μανασση ἔδωκεν Μωυση̃ς ἐν τη̨̃ Βασανίτιδι καὶ τω̨̃ ἡμίσει ἔδωκεν 'Ιησου̃ς μετὰ τω̃ν ἀδελφω̃ν αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου παρὰ θάλασσαν καὶ ἡνίκα ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς 'Ιησου̃ς εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτω̃ν καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτούς (Ⅲ)

- Dimidiæ autem tribui Manasse possessionem Moyses dederat in Basan : et idcirco mediæ, quæ superfuit, dedit Josue sortem inter ceteros fratres suos trans Jordanem ad occidentalem plagam. Cumque dimitteret eos in tabernacula sua, et benedixisset eis, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃22 ולחצי שבט המנשה נתן משה בבשן ולחציו נתן יהושע עם אחיהם *מעבר **בעבר‪[a]‬ הירדן ימה וגם כי שלחם יהושע אל אהליהם ויברכם ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 8

And he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.

- et leur dit: Vous retournerez à vos tentes avec de grandes richesses, avec des troupeaux fort nombreux, et avec une quantité considérable d'argent, d'or, d'airain, de fer, et de vêtements. Partagez avec vos frères le butin de vos ennemis. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐν χρήμασιν πολλοι̃ς ἀπήλθοσαν εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτω̃ν καὶ κτήνη πολλὰ σφόδρα καὶ ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον καὶ σίδηρον καὶ ἱματισμὸν πολύν καὶ διείλαντο τὴν προνομὴν τω̃ν ἐχθρω̃ν μετὰ τω̃ν ἀδελφω̃ν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- dixit ad eos : In multa substantia atque divitiis revertimini ad sedes vestras, cum argento et auro, ære ac ferro, et veste multiplici : dividite prædam hostium cum fratribus vestris.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃22 ויאמר אליהם לאמר בנכסים רבים שובו אל אהליכם ובמקנה רב מאד בכסף ובזהב ובנחשת ובברזל ובשלמות הרבה מאד חלקו שלל איביכם עם אחיכם פ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 9

And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the country of Gilead, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

- Les fils de Ruben, les fils de Gad, et la demi-tribu de Manassé, s'en retournèrent, après avoir quitté les enfants d'Israël à Silo, dans le pays de Canaan, pour aller dans le pays de Galaad, qui était leur propriété et où ils s'étaient établis comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné par Moïse. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλη̃ς υἱω̃ν Μανασση ἀπὸ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ ἐκ Σηλω ἐν γη̨̃ Χανααν ἀπελθει̃ν εἰς γὴν Γαλααδ εἰς γη̃ν κατασχέσεως αὐτω̃ν ἣν ἐκληρονόμησαν αὐτὴν διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυση̃ (Ⅲ)

- Reversique sunt, et abierunt filii Ruben, et filii Gad, et dimidia tribus Manasse, a filiis Israël de Silo, quæ sita est in Chanaan, ut intrarent Galaad terram possessionis suæ, quam obtinuerant juxta imperium Domini in manu Moysi. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃22 וישבו וילכו בני ראובן ובני גד וחצי שבט המנשה מאת בני ישראל משלה אשר בארץ כנען ללכת אל ארץ הגלעד אל ארץ אחזתם אשר נאחזו בה על פי יהוה ביד משה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 10

And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to.

- Quand ils furent arrivés aux districts du Jourdain qui appartiennent au pays de Canaan, les fils de Ruben, les fils de Gad et la demi-tribu de Manassé, y bâtirent un autel sur le Jourdain, un autel dont la grandeur frappait les regards. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἠ̃λθον εἰς Γαλγαλα του̃ Ιορδάνου ἥ ἐστιν ἐν γη̨̃ Χανααν καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλη̃ς Μανασση ἐκει̃ βωμὸν ἐπὶ του̃ Ιορδάνου βωμὸν μέγαν του̃ ἰδει̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Cumque venissent ad tumulos Jordanis in terram Chanaan, ædificaverunt juxta Jordanem altare infinitæ magnitudinis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃22 ויבאו אל גלילות הירדן אשר בארץ כנען ויבנו בני ראובן ובני גד וחצי שבט המנשה שם מזבח על הירדן מזבח גדול למראה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 11

And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel.

- Les enfants d'Israël apprirent que l'on disait: Voici, les fils de Ruben, les fils de Gad et la demi-tribu de Manassé, ont bâti un autel en face du pays de Canaan, dans les districts du Jourdain, du côté des enfants d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ λεγόντων ἰδοὺ ὠ̨κοδόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλη̃ς Μανασση βωμὸν ἐφ' ὁρίων γη̃ς Χανααν ἐπὶ του̃ Γαλααδ του̃ Ιορδάνου ἐν τω̨̃ πέραν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Quod cum audissent filii Israël, et ad eos certi nuntii detulissent, ædificasse filios Ruben, et Gad, et dimidiæ tribus Manasse, altare in terra Chanaan, super Jordanis tumulos, contra filios Israël : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃22 וישמעו בני ישראל לאמר הנה בנו בני ראובן ובני גד וחצי שבט המנשה את המזבח אל מול ארץ כנען אל גלילות הירדן אל עבר בני ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 12

And when the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against them.

- Lorsque les enfants d'Israël eurent appris cela, toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël se réunit à Silo, pour monter contre eux et leur faire la guerre. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ συνηθροίσθησαν πάντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ εἰς Σηλω ὥστε ἀναβάντες ἐκπολεμη̃σαι αὐτούς (Ⅲ)

- convenerunt omnes in Silo, ut ascenderent, et dimicarent contra eos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃22 וישמעו בני ישראל ויקהלו כל עדת בני ישראל שלה לעלות עליהם לצבא פ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 13

And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,

- Les enfants d'Israël envoyèrent auprès des fils de Ruben, des fils de Gad et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, au pays de Galaad, Phinées, fils du sacrificateur Éléazar, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέστειλαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ρουβην καὶ πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Γαδ καὶ πρὸς τὸ ἥμισυ φυλη̃ς Μανασση εἰς γη̃ν Γαλααδ τόν τε Φινεες υἱὸν Ελεαζαρ υἱου̃ Ααρων του̃ ἀρχιερέως (Ⅲ)

- Et interim miserunt ad illos in terram Galaad Phinees filium Eleazari sacerdotis, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃22 וישלחו בני ישראל אל בני ראובן ואל בני גד ואל חצי שבט מנשה אל ארץ הגלעד את פינחס בן אלעזר הכהן ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 14

And with him ten princes, of each chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of Israel; and each one was an head of the house of their fathers among the thousands of Israel.

- et dix princes avec lui, un prince par maison paternelle pour chacune des tribus d'Israël; tous étaient chefs de maison paternelle parmi les milliers d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ δέκα τω̃ν ἀρχόντων μετ' αὐτου̃ ἄρχων εἱ̃ς ἀπὸ οἴκου πατρια̃ς ἀπὸ πασω̃ν φυλω̃ν Ισραηλ ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριω̃ν εἰσιν χιλίαρχοι Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- et decem principes cum eo, singulos de singulis tribubus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃22 ועשרה נשאים עמו נשיא אחד נשיא אחד לבית אב לכל מטות ישראל ואיש ראש בית אבותם המה לאלפי ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 15

And they came unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, unto the land of Gilead, and they spake with them, saying,

- Ils se rendirent auprès des fils de Ruben, des fils de Gad et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, au pays de Galaad, et ils leur adressèrent la parole, en disant: (Ⅱ)

- καὶ παρεγένοντο πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Γαδ καὶ πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ρουβην καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἡμίσεις φυλη̃ς Μανασση εἰς γη̃ν Γαλααδ καὶ ἐλάλησαν πρὸς αὐτοὺς λέγοντες (Ⅲ)

- Qui venerunt ad filios Ruben, et Gad, et dimidiæ tribus Manasse in terram Galaad, dixeruntque ad eos : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃22 ויבאו אל בני ראובן ואל בני גד ואל חצי שבט מנשה אל ארץ הגלעד וידברו אתם לאמר ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 16

Thus saith the whole congregation of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following the LORD, in that ye have builded you an altar, that ye might rebel this day against the LORD?

- Ainsi parle toute l'assemblée de l'Éternel: Que signifie cette infidélité que vous avez commise envers le Dieu d'Israël, et pourquoi vous détournez-vous maintenant de l'Éternel, en vous bâtissant un autel pour vous révolter aujourd'hui contre l'Éternel? (Ⅱ)

- τάδε λέγει πα̃σα ἡ συναγωγὴ κυρίου τίς ἡ πλημμέλεια αὕτη ἣν ἐπλημμελήσατε ἐναντίον του̃ θεου̃ Ισραηλ ἀποστραφη̃ναι σήμερον ἀπὸ κυρίου οἰκοδομήσαντες ὑμι̃ν ἑαυτοι̃ς βωμὸν ἀποστάτας ὑμα̃ς γενέσθαι ἀπὸ κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Hæc mandat omnis populus Domini : Quæ est ista transgressio ? cur reliquistis Dominum Deum Israël, ædificantes altare sacrilegum, et a cultu illius recedentes ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃22 כה אמרו כל עדת יהוה מה המעל הזה אשר מעלתם באלהי ישראל לשוב היום מאחרי יהוה בבנותכם לכם מזבח למרדכם היום ביהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 17

Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we are not cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD,

- Regardons-nous comme peu de chose le crime de Peor, dont nous n'avons pas jusqu'à présent enlevé la tache de dessus nous, malgré la plaie qu'il attira sur l'assemblée de l'Éternel? (Ⅱ)

- μὴ μικρὸν ἡμι̃ν τὸ ἁμάρτημα Φογωρ ὅτι οὐκ ἐκαθαρίσθημεν ἀπ' αὐτου̃ ἕως τη̃ς ἡμέρας ταύτης καὶ ἐγενήθη πληγὴ ἐν τη̨̃ συναγωγη̨̃ κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- an parum vobis est quod peccastis in Beelphegor, et usque in præsentem diem macula hujus sceleris in nobis permanet, multique de populo corruerunt ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃22 המעט לנו את עון פעור אשר לא הטהרנו ממנו עד היום הזה ויהי הנגף בעדת יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 18

But that ye must turn away this day from following the LORD? and it will be, seeing ye rebel to day against the LORD, that to morrow he will be wroth with the whole congregation of Israel.

- Et vous vous détournez aujourd'hui de l'Éternel! Si vous vous révoltez aujourd'hui contre l'Éternel, demain il s'irritera contre toute l'assemblée d'Israël. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὑμει̃ς ἀποστραφήσεσθε σήμερον ἀπὸ κυρίου καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ἀποστη̃τε σήμερον ἀπὸ κυρίου καὶ αὔριον ἐπὶ πάντα Ισραηλ ἔσται ἡ ὀργή (Ⅲ)

- Et vos hodie reliquistis Dominum, et cras in universum Israël ira ejus desæviet. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃22 ואתם תשבו היום מאחרי יהוה והיה אתם תמרדו היום ביהוה ומחר אל כל עדת ישראל יקצף ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 19

Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building you an altar beside the altar of the LORD our God.

- Si vous tenez pour impur le pays qui est votre propriété, passez dans le pays qui est la propriété de l'Éternel, où est fixée la demeure de l'Éternel, et établissez-vous au milieu de nous; mais ne vous révoltez pas contre l'Éternel et ne vous séparez pas de nous, en vous bâtissant un autel, outre l'autel de l'Éternel, notre Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ νυ̃ν εἰ μικρὰ ὑμι̃ν ἡ γη̃ τη̃ς κατασχέσεως ὑμω̃ν διάβητε εἰς τὴν γη̃ν τη̃ς κατασχέσεως κυρίου οὑ̃ κατασκηνοι̃ ἐκει̃ ἡ σκηνὴ κυρίου καὶ κατακληρονομήσατε ἐν ἡμι̃ν καὶ μὴ ἀποστάται ἀπὸ θεου̃ γενήθητε καὶ μὴ ἀπόστητε ἀπὸ κυρίου διὰ τὸ οἰκοδομη̃σαι ὑμα̃ς βωμὸν ἔξω του̃ θυσιαστηρίου κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Quod si putatis immundam esse terram possessionis vestræ, transite ad terram, in qua tabernaculum Domini est, et habitate inter nos : tantum ut a Domino et a nostro consortio non recedatis, ædificato altari præter altare Domini Dei nostri. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃22 ואך אם טמאה ארץ אחזתכם עברו לכם אל ארץ אחזת יהוה אשר שכן שם משכן יהוה והאחזו בתוכנו וביהוה אל תמרדו ואתנו אל תמרדו בבנתכם לכם מזבח מבלעדי מזבח יהוה אלהינו ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 20

Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? and that man perished not alone in his iniquity.

- Acan, fils de Zérach, ne commit-il pas une infidélité au sujet des choses dévouées par interdit, et la colère de l'Éternel ne s'enflamma-t-elle pas contre toute l'assemblée d'Israël? Il ne fut pas le seul qui périt à cause de son crime. (Ⅱ)

- οὐκ ἰδοὺ Αχαρ ὁ του̃ Ζαρα πλημμελεία̨ ἐπλημμέλησεν ἀπὸ του̃ ἀναθέματος καὶ ἐπὶ πα̃σαν συναγωγὴν Ισραηλ ἐγενήθη ὀργή καὶ οὑ̃τος εἱ̃ς μόνος ἠ̃ν μὴ μόνος οὑ̃τος ἀπέθανεν τη̨̃ ἑαυτου̃ ἁμαρτία̨ (Ⅲ)

- Nonne Achan filius Zare præteriit mandatum Domini, et super omnem populum Israël ira ejus incubuit ? et ille erat unus homo, atque utinam solum periisset in scelere suo.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃22 הלוא עכן בן זרח מעל מעל בחרם ועל כל עדת ישראל היה קצף והוא איש אחד לא גוע בעונו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 21

Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh answered, and said unto the heads of the thousands of Israel,

- Les fils de Ruben, les fils de Gad et la demi-tribu de Manassé, répondirent ainsi aux chefs des milliers d'Israël: (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλη̃ς Μανασση καὶ ἐλάλησαν τοι̃ς χιλιάρχοις Ισραηλ λέγοντες (Ⅲ)

- Responderuntque filii Ruben et Gad, et dimidia tribus Manasse, principibus legationis Israël : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃22 ויענו בני ראובן ובני גד וחצי שבט המנשה וידברו את ראשי אלפי ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 22

The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know; if it be in rebellion, or if in transgression against the LORD, (save us not this day,)

- Dieu, Dieu, l'Éternel, Dieu, Dieu, l'Éternel le sait, et Israël le saura! Si c'est par rébellion et par infidélité envers l'Éternel, ne viens point à notre aide en ce jour! (Ⅱ)

- ὁ θεὸς θεός ἐστιν κύριος καὶ ὁ θεὸς θεὸς κύριος αὐτὸς οἰ̃δεν καὶ Ισραηλ αὐτὸς γνώσεται εἰ ἐν ἀποστασία̨ ἐπλημμελήσαμεν ἔναντι του̃ κυρίου μὴ ῥύσαιτο ἡμα̃ς ἐν ταύτη̨ (Ⅲ)

- Fortissimus Deus Dominus, fortissimus Deus Dominus, ipse novit, et Israël simul intelliget : si prævaricationis animo hoc altare construximus, non custodiat nos, sed puniat nos in præsenti : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃22 אל אלהים יהוה אל אלהים יהוה הוא ידע וישראל הוא ידע אם במרד ואם במעל ביהוה אל תושיענו היום הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 23

That we have built us an altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings thereon, let the LORD himself require it;

- Si nous nous sommes bâti un autel pour nous détourner de l'Éternel, si c'est pour y présenter des holocaustes et des offrandes, et si c'est pour y faire des sacrifices d'actions de grâces, que l'Éternel en demande compte! (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ ὠ̨κοδομήσαμεν αὑτοι̃ς βωμὸν ὥστε ἀποστη̃ναι ἀπὸ κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν ὥστε ἀναβιβάσαι ἐπ' αὐτὸν θυσίαν ὁλοκαυτωμάτων ἢ ὥστε ποιη̃σαι ἐπ' αὐτου̃ θυσίαν σωτηρίου κύριος ἐκζητήσει (Ⅲ)

- et si ea mente fecimus ut holocausta, et sacrificium, et pacificas victimas super eo imponeremus, ipse quærat et judicet : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 23 ׃22 לבנות לנו מזבח לשוב מאחרי יהוה ואם להעלות עליו עולה ומנחה ואם לעשות עליו זבחי שלמים יהוה הוא יבקש ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 24

And if we have not rather done it for fear of this thing, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye to do with the LORD God of Israel?

- C'est bien plutôt par une sorte d'inquiétude que nous avons fait cela, en pensant que vos fils diraient un jour à nos fils: Qu'y a-t-il de commun entre vous et l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël? (Ⅱ)

- ἀλλ' ἕνεκεν εὐλαβείας ῥήματος ἐποιήσαμεν του̃το λέγοντες ἵνα μὴ εἴπωσιν αὔριον τὰ τέκνα ὑμω̃ν τοι̃ς τέκνοις ἡμω̃ν τί ὑμι̃ν κυρίω̨ τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- et non ea magis cogitatione atque tractatu, ut diceremus : Cras dicent filii vestri filiis nostris : Quid vobis et Domino Deo Israël ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 24 ׃22 ואם לא מדאגה מדבר עשינו את זאת לאמר מחר יאמרו בניכם לבנינו לאמר מה לכם וליהוה אלהי ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 25

For the LORD hath made Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad; ye have no part in the LORD: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing the LORD.

- L'Éternel a mis le Jourdain pour limite entre nous et vous, fils de Ruben et fils de Gad; vous n'avez point de part à l'Éternel! Et vos fils seraient ainsi cause que nos fils cesseraient de craindre l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὅρια ἔθηκεν κύριος ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμω̃ν καὶ ὑμω̃ν τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὑμι̃ν μερὶς κυρίου καὶ ἀπαλλοτριώσουσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ὑμω̃ν τοὺς υἱοὺς ἡμω̃ν ἵνα μὴ σέβωνται κύριον (Ⅲ)

- terminum posuit Dominus inter nos et vos, o filii Ruben, et filii Gad, Jordanem fluvium, et idcirco partem non habetis in Domino : et per hanc occasionem avertent filii vestri filios nostros a timore Domini. Putavimus itaque melius, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 25 ׃22 וגבול נתן יהוה ביננו וביניכם בני ראובן ובני גד את הירדן אין לכם חלק ביהוה והשביתו בניכם את בנינו לבלתי ירא את יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 26

Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice:

- C'est pourquoi nous avons dit: Bâtissons-nous donc un autel, non pour des holocaustes et pour des sacrifices, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἴπαμεν ποιη̃σαι οὕτως του̃ οἰκοδομη̃σαι τὸν βωμὸν του̃τον οὐχ ἕνεκεν καρπωμάτων οὐδὲ ἕνεκεν θυσιω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- et diximus : Exstruamus nobis altare, non in holocausta, neque ad victimas offerendas, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 26 ׃22 ונאמר נעשה נא לנו לבנות את המזבח לא לעולה ולא לזבח ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 27

But that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in the LORD.

- mais comme un témoin entre nous et vous, entre nos descendants et les vôtres, que nous voulons servir l'Éternel devant sa face par nos holocaustes et par nos sacrifices d'expiation et d'actions de grâces, afin que vos fils ne disent pas un jour à nos fils: Vous n'avez point de part à l'Éternel! (Ⅱ)

- ἀλλ' ἵνα ἠ̨̃ του̃το μαρτύριον ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμω̃ν καὶ ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν γενεω̃ν ἡμω̃ν μεθ' ἡμα̃ς του̃ λατρεύειν λατρείαν κυρίω̨ ἐναντίον αὐτου̃ ἐν τοι̃ς καρπώμασιν ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἐν ται̃ς θυσίαις ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἐν ται̃ς θυσίαις τω̃ν σωτηρίων ἡμω̃ν καὶ οὐκ ἐρου̃σιν τὰ τέκνα ὑμω̃ν τοι̃ς τέκνοις ἡμω̃ν αὔριον οὐκ ἔστιν ὑμι̃ν μερὶς κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- sed in testimonium inter nos et vos, et sobolem nostram vestramque progeniem, ut serviamus Domino, et juris nostri sit offerre et holocausta, et victimas, et pacificas hostias : et nequaquam dicant cras filii vestri filiis nostris : Non est vobis pars in Domino. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 27 ׃22 כי עד הוא בינינו וביניכם ובין דרותינו אחרינו לעבד את עבדת יהוה לפניו בעלותינו ובזבחינו ובשלמינו ולא יאמרו בניכם מחר לבנינו אין לכם חלק ביהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 28

Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a witness between us and you.

- Nous avons dit: S'ils tiennent dans l'avenir ce langage à nous ou à nos descendants, nous répondrons: Voyez la forme de l'autel de l'Éternel, qu'ont fait nos pères, non pour des holocaustes et pour des sacrifices, mais comme témoin entre nous et vous. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἴπαμεν ἐὰν γένηταί ποτε καὶ λαλήσωσιν πρὸς ἡμα̃ς καὶ ται̃ς γενεαι̃ς ἡμω̃ν αὔριον καὶ ἐρου̃σιν ἴδετε ὁμοίωμα του̃ θυσιαστηρίου κυρίου ὃ ἐποίησαν οἱ πατέρες ἡμω̃ν οὐχ ἕνεκεν καρπωμάτων οὐδὲ ἕνεκεν θυσιω̃ν ἀλλὰ μαρτύριόν ἐστιν ἀνὰ μέσον ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμω̃ν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν υἱω̃ν ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Quod si voluerint dicere, respondebunt eis : Ecce altare Domini, quod fecerunt patres nostri, non in holocausta, neque in sacrificium, sed in testimonium nostrum ac vestrum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 28 ׃22 ונאמר והיה כי יאמרו אלינו ואל דרתינו מחר ואמרנו ראו את תבנית מזבח יהוה אשר עשו אבותינו לא לעולה ולא לזבח כי עד הוא בינינו וביניכם ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 29

God forbid that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle.

- Loin de nous la pensée de nous révolter contre l'Éternel et de nous détourner aujourd'hui de l'Éternel, en bâtissant un autel pour des holocaustes, pour des offrandes et pour des sacrifices, outre l'autel de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, qui est devant sa demeure! (Ⅱ)

- μὴ γένοιτο οὐ̃ν ἡμα̃ς ἀποστραφη̃ναι ἀπὸ κυρίου ἐν ται̃ς σήμερον ἡμέραις ἀποστη̃ναι ἀπὸ κυρίου ὥστε οἰκοδομη̃σαι ἡμα̃ς θυσιαστήριον τοι̃ς καρπώμασιν καὶ ται̃ς θυσίαις σαλαμιν καὶ τη̨̃ θυσία̨ του̃ σωτηρίου πλὴν του̃ θυσιαστηρίου κυρίου ὅ ἐστιν ἐναντίον τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Absit a nobis hoc scelus, ut recedamus a Domino, et ejus vestigia relinquamus, exstructo altari ad holocausta, et sacrificia, et victimas offerendas, præter altare Domini Dei nostri, quod exstructum est ante tabernaculum ejus.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 29 ׃22 חלילה לנו ממנו למרד ביהוה ולשוב היום מאחרי יהוה לבנות מזבח לעלה למנחה ולזבח מלבד מזבח יהוה אלהינו אשר לפני משכנו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 30

And when Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation and heads of the thousands of Israel which were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them.

- Lorsque le sacrificateur Phinées, et les princes de l'assemblée, les chefs des milliers d'Israël, qui étaient avec lui, eurent entendu les paroles que prononcèrent les fils de Ruben, les fils de Gad et les fils de Manassé, ils furent satisfaits. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀκούσας Φινεες ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς Ισραηλ οἳ ἠ̃σαν μετ' αὐτου̃ τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἐλάλησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλη̃ς Μανασση καὶ ἤρεσεν αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Quibus auditis, Phinees sacerdos, et principes legationis Israël, qui erant cum eo, placati sunt : et verba filiorum Ruben, et Gad, et dimidiæ tribus Manasse, libentissime susceperunt. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 30 ׃22 וישמע פינחס הכהן ונשיאי העדה וראשי אלפי ישראל אשר אתו את הדברים אשר דברו בני ראובן ובני גד ובני מנשה וייטב בעיניהם ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 31

And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against the LORD: now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD.

- Et Phinées, fils du sacrificateur Éléazar, dit aux fils de Ruben, aux fils de Gad, et aux fils de Manassé: Nous reconnaissons maintenant que l'Éternel est au milieu de nous, puisque vous n'avez point commis cette infidélité contre l'Éternel; vous avez ainsi délivré les enfants d'Israël de la main de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Φινεες ὁ ἱερεὺς τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ρουβην καὶ τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Γαδ καὶ τω̨̃ ἡμίσει φυλη̃ς Μανασση σήμερον ἐγνώκαμεν ὅτι μεθ' ἡμω̃ν κύριος διότι οὐκ ἐπλημμελήσατε ἐναντίον κυρίου πλημμέλειαν καὶ ὅτι ἐρρύσασθε τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ χειρὸς κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Phinees filius Eleazari sacerdos ad eos : Nunc scimus quod nobiscum sit Dominus, quoniam alieni estis a prævaricatione hac, et liberastis filios Israël de manu Domini. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 31 ׃22 ויאמר פינחס בן אלעזר הכהן אל בני ראובן ואל בני גד ואל בני מנשה היום ידענו כי בתוכנו יהוה אשר לא מעלתם ביהוה המעל הזה אז הצלתם את בני ישראל מיד יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 32

And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.

- Phinées, fils du sacrificateur Éléazar, et les princes, quittèrent les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad, et revinrent du pays de Galaad dans le pays de Canaan, auprès des enfants d'Israël, auxquels ils firent un rapport. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν Φινεες ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ἀπὸ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ρουβην καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Γαδ καὶ ἀπὸ του̃ ἡμίσους φυλη̃ς Μανασση ἐκ γη̃ς Γαλααδ εἰς γη̃ν Χανααν πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτοι̃ς τοὺς λόγους (Ⅲ)

- Reversusque est cum principibus a filiis Ruben et Gad de terra Galaad, finium Chanaan, ad filios Israël, et retulit eis. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 32 ׃22 וישב פינחס בן אלעזר הכהן והנשיאים מאת בני ראובן ומאת בני גד מארץ הגלעד אל ארץ כנען אל בני ישראל וישבו אותם דבר ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 33

And the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and did not intend to go up against them in battle, to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and Gad dwelt.

- Les enfants d'Israël furent satisfaits; ils bénirent Dieu, et ne parlèrent plus de monter en armes pour ravager le pays qu'habitaient les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἤρεσεν τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐλάλησαν πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ εὐλόγησαν τὸν θεὸν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ καὶ εἰ̃παν μηκέτι ἀναβη̃ναι πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἰς πόλεμον ἐξολεθρευ̃σαι τὴν γη̃ν τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ρουβην καὶ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Γαδ καὶ του̃ ἡμίσους φυλη̃ς Μανασση καὶ κατώ̨κησαν ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ)

- Placuitque sermo cunctis audientibus. Et laudaverunt Deum filii Israël, et nequaquam ultra dixerunt, ut ascenderent contra eos, atque pugnarent, et delerent terram possessionis eorum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 33 ׃22 וייטב הדבר בעיני בני ישראל ויברכו אלהים בני ישראל ולא אמרו לעלות עליהם לצבא לשחת את הארץ אשר בני ראובן ובני גד ישבים בה ‬ (Ⅴ)

22. 34

And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God.

- Les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad appelèrent l'autel Ed, car, dirent-ils, il est témoin entre nous que l'Éternel est Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν 'Ιησου̃ς τὸν βωμὸν τω̃ν Ρουβην καὶ τω̃ν Γαδ καὶ του̃ ἡμίσους φυλη̃ς Μανασση καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὅτι μαρτύριόν ἐστιν ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτω̃ν ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτω̃ν ἐστιν (Ⅲ)

- Vocaveruntque filii Ruben, et filii Gad, altare quod exstruxerant, Testimonium nostrum, quod Dominus ipse sit Deus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 34 ׃22 ויקראו בני ראובן ובני גד למזבח כי עד הוא בינתינו כי יהוה האלהים פ‬ (Ⅴ)
