111. 0  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ)
- In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ)
- Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)
111. 1  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
- Tabbat yada abee lahabin watabba (Ⅰ)
- Perish shall the hands of The Father of Flame, and he shall perish! (Ⅱ)
- The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. (Ⅲ)
- Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! (Ⅳ)
- Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! (Ⅵ)
111. 2  
مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ
- Ma aghna AAanhu maluhu wama kasaba (Ⅰ)
- His wealth shall not avail him, nor what he has gained! (Ⅱ)
- His wealth and gains will not exempt him. (Ⅲ)
- His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; (Ⅳ)
- No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! (Ⅵ)
111. 3  
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
- Sayasla naran thata lahabin (Ⅰ)
- He shall soon broil in a Fire that flames, (Ⅱ)
- He will be plunged in flaming Fire, (Ⅲ)
- he shall roast at a flaming fire (Ⅳ)
- Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! (Ⅵ)
111. 4  
وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ
- Waimraatuhu hammalata alhatabi (Ⅰ)
- And his wife shall carry the wood as fuel. (Ⅱ)
- And his wife, the wood-carrier, (Ⅲ)
- and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, (Ⅳ)
- His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- (Ⅵ)
111. 5  
فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ
- Fee jeediha hablun min masadin (Ⅰ)
- On her own neck a cord of palm fibres. (Ⅱ)
- Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. (Ⅲ)
- upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. (Ⅳ)
- A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! (Ⅵ)
