بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ)
- In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ)
- Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)
2. 1  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ الم
- Aliflammeem (Ⅰ)
- ALIF LAM MIM. (Ⅱ)
- Alif. Lam. Mim. (Ⅲ)
- Alif Lam Mim (Ⅳ)
- A.L.M. (Ⅵ)
2. 2  
ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
- Thalika alkitabu la rayba feehi hudan lilmuttaqeena (Ⅰ)
- This is the Book! There is no doubt therein; a guide to the pious, (Ⅱ)
- This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). (Ⅲ)
- That is the Book, wherein is no doubt, a guidance to the godfearing (Ⅳ)
- This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah; (Ⅵ)
2. 3  
الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
- Allatheena yuminoona bialghaybi wayuqeemoona alssalata wamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoona (Ⅰ)
- Who believe in the unseen, and are steadfast in worship, and spend of what We have given them; (Ⅱ)
- Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them; (Ⅲ)
- who believe in the Unseen, and perform the prayer, and expend of that We have provided them; (Ⅳ)
- Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; (Ⅵ)
2. 4  
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ
- Waallatheena yuminoona bima onzila ilayka wama onzila min qablika wabialakhirati hum yooqinoona (Ⅰ)
- Who believe in what is revealed to you (Muhammad), and what was revealed before you, and are sure of the Hereafter. (Ⅱ)
- And who believe in that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and are certain of the Hereafter. (Ⅲ)
- who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; (Ⅳ)
- And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. (Ⅵ)
2. 5  
أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
- Olaika AAala hudan min rabbihim waolaika humu almuflihoona (Ⅰ)
- These are guided by their Lord, and these are the successful. (Ⅱ)
- These depend on guidance from their Lord. These are the successful. (Ⅲ)
- those are upon guidance from their Lord, those are the ones who prosper. (Ⅳ)
- They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper. (Ⅵ)
2. 6  
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
- Inna allatheena kafaroo sawaon AAalayhim aanthartahum am lam tunthirhum la yuminoona (Ⅰ)
- Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them if you warn them or if you warn them not, they will not believe. (Ⅱ)
- As for the Disbelievers, Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not it is all one for them; they believe not. (Ⅲ)
- As for the unbelievers, alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or hast not warned them, they do not believe. (Ⅳ)
- As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe. (Ⅵ)
2. 7  
خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
- Khatama Allahu AAala quloobihim waAAala samAAihim waAAala absarihim ghishawatun walahum AAathabun AAatheemun (Ⅰ)
- Allah has set a seal upon their heart and on their hearing; and on their eyes is dimness, and for them is grievous woe. (Ⅱ)
- Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom. (Ⅲ)
- God has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a covering, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement. (Ⅳ)
- Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur). (Ⅵ)
2. 8  
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَمَا هُم بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
- Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amanna biAllahi wabialyawmi alakhiri wama hum bimumineena (Ⅰ)
- And there are those among men who say, "We believe in Allah and in the last day;" but they do not believe. (Ⅱ)
- And of mankind are some who say: We believe in Allah and the Last Day, when they believe not. (Ⅲ)
- And some men there are who say, ´We believe in God and the Last Day´; but they are not believers. (Ⅳ)
- Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe. (Ⅵ)
2. 9  
يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلَّا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
- YukhadiAAoona Allaha waallatheena amanoo wama yakhdaAAoona illa anfusahum wama yashAAuroona (Ⅰ)
- They would deceive Allah and those who do believe; but they deceive only themselves and they do not perceive. (Ⅱ)
- They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not. (Ⅲ)
- They would trick God and the believers, and only themselves they deceive, and they are not aware. (Ⅳ)
- Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realise (it) not! (Ⅵ)
2. 10  
فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ
- Fee quloobihim maradun fazadahumu Allahu maradan walahum AAathabun aleemun bima kanoo yakthiboona (Ⅰ)
- In their heart is a sickness, and Allah has made them still more sick, and for them is grievous woe because they lied. (Ⅱ)
- In their hearts is a disease, and Allah increaseth their disease. A painful doom is theirs because they lie. (Ⅲ)
- In their hearts is a sickness, and God has increased their sickness, and there awaits them a painful chastisement for that they have cried lies. (Ⅳ)
- In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves). (Ⅵ)
2. 11  
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ
- Waitha qeela lahum la tufsidoo fee alardi qaloo innama nahnu muslihoona (Ⅰ)
- And when it is said to them, "Do not evil in the earth," they say, "We do only what is right" (Ⅱ)
- And when it is said unto them: Make not mischief in the earth, they say: We are peacemakers only. (Ⅲ)
- When it is said to them, ´Do not corruption in the land´, they say, ´We are only ones that put things right.´ (Ⅳ)
- When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" (Ⅵ)
2. 12  
أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْمُفْسِدُونَ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ
- Ala innahum humu almufsidoona walakin la yashAAuroona (Ⅰ)
- Are not they the evildoers? And yet they do not perceive! (Ⅱ)
- Are not they indeed the mischief-makers ? But they perceive not. (Ⅲ)
- Truly, they are the workers of corruption but they are not aware. (Ⅳ)
- Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not. (Ⅵ)
2. 13  
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُوا كَمَا آمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ
- Waitha qeela lahum aminoo kama amana alnnasu qaloo anuminu kama amana alssufahao ala innahum humu alssufahao walakin la yaAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- And when it is said to them, "Believe as other men believe," they say, "Shall we believe as fools believe?" Are not they themselves the fools? And yet they do not know. (Ⅱ)
- And when it is said unto them: believe as the people believe, they say: shall we believe as the foolish believe ? are not they indeed the foolish ? But they know not. (Ⅲ)
- When it is said to them, ´Believe as the people believe´, they say, ´Shall we believe, as fools believe?´ Truly, they are the foolish ones, but they do not know. (Ⅳ)
- When it is said to them: "Believe as the others believe:" They say: "Shall we believe as the fools believe?" Nay, of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know. (Ⅵ)
2. 14  
وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَىٰ شَيَاطِينِهِمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِئُونَ
- Waitha laqoo allatheena amanoo qaloo amanna waitha khalaw ila shayateenihim qaloo inna maAAakum innama nahnu mustahzioona (Ⅰ)
- And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We do believe;" but when they go aside with their devils, they say, "We are with you; we were but mocking!" (Ⅱ)
- And when they fall in with those who believe, they say: We believe; but when they go apart to their devils they declare: Lo! we are with you; verily we did but mock. (Ⅲ)
- When they meet those who believe, they say, ´We believe´; but when they go privily to their Satans, they say, ´We are with you; we were only mocking.´ (Ⅳ)
- When they meet those who believe, they say: "We believe;" but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say: "We are really with you: We (were) only jesting." (Ⅵ)
2. 15  
اللَّهُ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
- Allahu yastahzio bihim wayamudduhum fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona (Ⅰ)
- Allah shall mock at them and let them go on in their rebellion, blindly wandering on. (Ⅱ)
- Allah (Himself) doth mock them, leaving them to wander blindly on in their contumacy. (Ⅲ)
- God shall mock them, and shall lead them on blindly wandering in their insolence. (Ⅳ)
- Allah will throw back their mockery on them, and give them rope in their trespasses; so they will wander like blind ones (To and fro). (Ⅵ)
2. 16  
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الضَّلَالَةَ بِالْهُدَىٰ فَمَا رَبِحَت تِّجَارَتُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ
- Olaika allatheena ishtarawoo alddalalata bialhuda fama rabihat tijaratuhum wama kanoo muhtadeena (Ⅰ)
- Those who buy error for guidance, their traffic profits not, and they are not guided. (Ⅱ)
- These are they who purchase error at the price of guidance, so their commerce doth not prosper, neither are they guided. (Ⅲ)
- Those are they that have bought error at the price of guidance, and their commerce has not profited them, and they are not right-guided. (Ⅳ)
- These are they who have bartered Guidance for error: But their traffic is profitless, and they have lost true direction, (Ⅵ)
2. 17  
مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ ذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتٍ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ
- Mathaluhum kamathali allathee istawqada naran falamma adaat ma hawlahu thahaba Allahu binoorihim watarakahum fee thulumatin la yubsiroona (Ⅰ)
- Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindles a fire; and when it lights up all around, Allah goes off with their light, and leaves them in darkness that they cannot see. (Ⅱ)
- Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindleth fire, and when it sheddeth its light around him Allah taketh away their light and leaveth them in darkness, where they cannot see, (Ⅲ)
- The likeness of them is as the likeness of a man who kindled a fire, and when it lit all about him God took away their light, and left them in darkness unseeing (Ⅳ)
- Their similitude is that of a man who kindled a fire; when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in utter darkness. So they could not see. (Ⅵ)
2. 18  
صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ
- Summun bukmun AAumyun fahum la yarjiAAoona (Ⅰ)
- Deaf, dumb, blind, and they shall not return! (Ⅱ)
- Deaf, dumb and blind; and they return not. (Ⅲ)
- deaf, dumb, blind -- so they shall not return; (Ⅳ)
- Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path). (Ⅵ)
2. 19  
أَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَرَعْدٌ وَبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ
- Aw kasayyibin mina alssamai feehi thulumatun waraAAdun wabarqun yajAAaloona asabiAAahum fee athanihim mina alssawaAAiqi hathara almawti waAllahu muheetun bialkafireena (Ⅰ)
- Or like a storm-cloud from the sky, wherein is darkness and thunder and lightning; they put their fingers in their ears at the thunder-clap, for fear of death, for Allah encompasses the disbelievers. (Ⅱ)
- Or like a rainstorm from the sky, wherein is darkness, thunder and the flash of lightning. They thrust their fingers in their ears by reason of the thunder-claps, for fear of death, Allah encompasseth the disbelievers (in His guidance, His omniscience and His omnipotence). (Ⅲ)
- or as a cloudburst out of heaven in which is darkness, and thunder, and lightning -- they put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps, fearful of death; and God encompasses the unbelievers; (Ⅳ)
- Or (another similitude) is that of a rain-laden cloud from the sky: In it are zones of darkness, and thunder and lightning: They press their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunder-clap, the while they are in terror of death. But Allah is ever round the rejecters of Faith! (Ⅵ)
2. 20  
يَكَادُ الْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَارَهُمْ ۖ كُلَّمَا أَضَاءَ لَهُم مَّشَوْا فِيهِ وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُوا ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
- Yakadu albarqu yakhtafu absarahum kullama adaa lahum mashaw feehi waitha athlama AAalayhim qamoo walaw shaa Allahu lathahaba bisamAAihim waabsarihim inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun (Ⅰ)
- The lightning well-nigh snatches off their sight, whenever it shines for them they walk therein; but when it is dark for them they halt; and if Allah willed He would go off with their hearing and their sight; verily, Allah is mighty over all. (Ⅱ)
- The lightning almost snatcheth away their sight from them. As often as it flasheth forth for them they walk therein, and when it darkeneth against them they stand still. If Allah willed, He could destroy their hearing and their sight. Lo! Allah is able to do all things. (Ⅲ)
- the lightning wellnigh snatches away their sight; whensoever it gives them light, they walk in it, and when the darkness is over them, they halt; had God willed, He would have taken away their hearing and their sight. Truly, God is powerful over everything. (Ⅳ)
- The lightning all but snatches away their sight; every time the light (Helps) them, they walk therein, and when the darkness grows on them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could take away their faculty of hearing and seeing; for Allah hath power over all things. (Ⅵ)
2. 21  
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
- Ya ayyuha alnnasu oAAbudoo rabbakumu allathee khalaqakum waallatheena min qablikum laAAallakum tattaqoona (Ⅰ)
- O you folk! Serve (adore) your Lord (Guardian) who created you and those before you; per chance (or possibly) you may fear evil (learn righteousness)! (Ⅱ)
- O mankind! worship your Lord, Who hath created you and those before you, so that ye may ward off (evil). (Ⅲ)
- O you men, serve your Lord Who created you, and those that were before you; haply so you will be godfearing; (Ⅳ)
- O ye people! Adore your Guardian-Lord, who created you and those who came before you, that ye may have the chance to learn righteousness; (Ⅵ)
2. 22  
الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فِرَاشًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
- Allathee jaAAala lakumu alarda firashan waalssamaa binaan waanzala mina alssamai maan faakhraja bihi mina alththamarati rizqan lakum fala tajAAaloo lillahi andadan waantum taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- Who made the earth for you a bed and the heaven a canopy; and sent down from heaven water, and brought forth therewith fruits for your sustenance; so make no peers (rivals) for Allah, when you know better! (Ⅱ)
- Who hath appointed the earth a resting-place for you, and the sky a canopy; and causeth water to pour down from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you. And do not set up rivals to Allah when ye know (better). (Ⅲ)
- who assigned to you the earth for a couch, and heaven for an edifice, and sent down out of heaven water, wherewith He brought forth fruits for your provision; so set not up compeers to God wittingly. (Ⅳ)
- Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth). (Ⅵ)
2. 23  
وَإِن كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِ وَادْعُوا شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
- Wain kuntum fee raybin mimma nazzalna AAala AAabdina fatoo bisooratin min mithlihi waodAAoo shuhadaakum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena (Ⅰ)
- And if you are in doubt of what we have revealed unto Our servant, then bring a chapter like it, and call your witnesses other than Allah if you tell truth. (Ⅱ)
- And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto Our slave (Muhammad), then produce a surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful. (Ⅲ)
- And if you are in doubt concerning that We have sent down on Our servant, then bring a sura like it, and call your witnesses, apart from God, if you are truthful. (Ⅳ)
- And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true. (Ⅵ)
2. 24  
فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُوا وَلَن تَفْعَلُوا فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِي وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ ۖ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ
- Fain lam tafAAaloo walan tafAAaloo faittaqoo alnnara allatee waqooduha alnnasu waalhijaratu oAAiddat lilkafireena (Ⅰ)
- But if you do it not - and you surely cannot - then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for disbelievers. (Ⅱ)
- And if ye do it not - and ye can never do it - then guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for disbelievers, whose fuel is of men and stones. (Ⅲ)
- And if you do not -- and you will not -- then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for unbelievers. (Ⅳ)
- But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot- then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject Faith. (Ⅵ)
2. 25  
وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۖ كُلَّمَا رُزِقُوا مِنْهَا مِن ثَمَرَةٍ رِّزْقًا ۙ قَالُوا هَٰذَا الَّذِي رُزِقْنَا مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَأُتُوا بِهِ مُتَشَابِهًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا أَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ ۖ وَهُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
- Wabashshiri allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati anna lahum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu kullama ruziqoo minha min thamaratin rizqan qaloo hatha allathee ruziqna min qablu waotoo bihi mutashabihan walahum feeha azwajun mutahharatun wahum feeha khalidoona (Ⅰ)
- But bear the glad tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; whenever they are provided with fruit there from they say, "This is what we were provided with before," and they shall be provided with their similitude; and there are pure companions for them therein, and they shall dwell therein for ever. (Ⅱ)
- And give glad tidings (O Muhammad) unto those who believe and do good works; that theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow; as often as they are regaled with food of the fruit thereof, they say: this is what was given us aforetime; and it is given to them in resemblance. There for them are pure companions; there for ever they abide. (Ⅲ)
- Give thou good tidings to those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, that for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; whensoever they are provided with fruits therefrom they shall say, ´This is that wherewithal we were provided before´; that they shall be given in perfect semblance; and there for them shall be spouses purified; therein they shall dwell forever. (Ⅳ)
- But give glad tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that their portion is Gardens, beneath which rivers flow. Every time they are fed with fruits therefrom, they say: "Why, this is what we were fed with before," for they are given things in similitude; and they have therein companions pure (and holy); and they abide therein (for ever). (Ⅵ)
2. 26  
۞ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي أَن يَضْرِبَ مَثَلًا مَّا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا ۚ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلًا ۘ يُضِلُّ بِهِ كَثِيرًا وَيَهْدِي بِهِ كَثِيرًا ۚ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِ إِلَّا الْفَاسِقِينَ
- Inna Allaha la yastahyee an yadriba mathalan ma baAAoodatan fama fawqaha faamma allatheena amanoo fayaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu min rabbihim waamma allatheena kafaroo fayaqooloona matha arada Allahu bihatha mathalan yudillu bihi katheeran wayahdee bihi katheeran wama yudillu bihi illa alfasiqeena (Ⅰ)
- Behold! Allah does not disdain to set forth a similitude even of a gnat, or anything lower or higher; and as for those who believe, they know that it is truth from the Lord; but as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What is it that Allah means by this as a parable? He leads astray many and He guides many;"- but He leads astray only the evildoers; (Ⅱ)
- Lo! Allah disdaineth not to coin the similitude even of a gnat. Those who believe know that it is the truth from their Lord; but those who disbelieve say: What doth Allah wish (to teach) by such a similitude ? He misleadeth many thereby, and He guideth many thereby; and He misleadeth thereby only miscreants; (Ⅲ)
- God is not ashamed to strike a similitude even of a gnat, or aught above it. As for the believers, they know it is the truth from their Lord; but as for unbelievers, they say, ´What did God desire by this for a similitude?´ Thereby He leads many astray, and thereby He guides many; and thereby He leads none astray save the ungodly (Ⅳ)
- Allah disdains not to use the similitude of things, lowest as well as highest. Those who believe know that it is truth from their Lord; but those who reject Faith say: "What means Allah by this similitude?" By it He causes many to stray, and many He leads into the right path; but He causes not to stray, except those who forsake (the path),- (Ⅵ)
2. 27  
الَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ اللَّهِ مِن بَعْدِ مِيثَاقِهِ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
- Allatheena yanqudoona AAahda Allahi min baAAdi meethaqihi wayaqtaAAoona ma amara Allahu bihi an yoosala wayufsidoona fee alardi olaika humu alkhasiroona (Ⅰ)
- Those who break Allah´s covenant after the fixing thereof, and cut asunder what Allah has ordered to be joined, and do evil in the earth, these it is who are losers. (Ⅱ)
- Those who break the covenant of Allah after ratifying it, and sever that which Allah ordered to be joined, and (who) make mischief in the earth: Those are they who are the losers. (Ⅲ)
- such as break the covenant of God after its solemn binding, and such as cut what God has commanded should be joined, and such as do corruption in the land -- they shall be the losers. (Ⅳ)
- Those who break Allah´s Covenant after it is ratified, and who sunder what Allah Has ordered to be joined, and do mischief on earth: These cause loss (only) to themselves. (Ⅵ)
2. 28  
كَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَكُنتُمْ أَمْوَاتًا فَأَحْيَاكُمْ ۖ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
- Kayfa takfuroona biAllahi wakuntum amwatan faahyakum thumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum thumma ilayhi turjaAAoona (Ⅰ)
- How can you disbelieve in Allah, when you were dead and He made you alive, and then He will cause you to die, and then make you alive again, and then to Him will you return? (Ⅱ)
- How disbelieve ye in Allah when ye were dead and He gave life to you! Then He will give you death, then life again, and then unto Him ye will return. (Ⅲ)
- How do you disbelieve in God, seeing you were dead and He gave you life, then He shall make you dead, then He shall give you life, then unto Him you shall be returned? (Ⅳ)
- How can ye reject the faith in Allah?- seeing that ye were without life, and He gave you life; then will He cause you to die, and will again bring you to life; and again to Him will ye return. (Ⅵ)
2. 29  
هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُم مَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ ۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
- Huwa allathee khalaqa lakum ma fee alardi jameeAAan thumma istawa ila alssamai fasawwahunna sabAAa samawatin wahuwa bikulli shayin AAaleemun (Ⅰ)
- It is He who created for you all that is in the earth, and He designed the heavens also and fashioned (ordered) them as seven heavens; and He knows all things. (Ⅱ)
- He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things. (Ⅲ)
- It is He who created for you all that is in the earth, then He lifted Himself to heaven and levelled them seven heavens; and He has knowledge of everything. (Ⅳ)
- It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge. (Ⅵ)
2. 30  
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
- Waith qala rabbuka lilmalaikati innee jaAAilun fee alardi khaleefatan qaloo atajAAalu feeha man yufsidu feeha wayasfiku alddimaa wanahnu nusabbihu bihamdika wanuqaddisu laka qala innee aAAlamu ma la taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- And when your Lord said unto the angels, "I am about to place a Vicegerent (Agent, Successor, Inheritor) in the earth," they said, "Will you place therein one who will do evil therein and shed blood? While we celebrate Thy praise and glorify Thee." Said (the Lord), "I know what you know not." (Ⅱ)
- And when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Wilt thou place therein one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee ? He said: Surely I know that which ye know not. (Ⅲ)
- And when thy Lord said to the angels, ´I am setting in the earth a viceroy.´ They said, ´What, wilt Thou set therein one who will do corruption there, and shed blood, while We proclaim Thy praise and call Thee Holy?´ He said, ´Assuredly I know that you know not.´ (Ⅳ)
- Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." (Ⅵ)
2. 31  
وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الْأَسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ هَٰؤُلَاءِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
- WaAAallama adama alasmaa kullaha thumma AAaradahum AAala almalaikati faqala anbioonee biasmai haolai in kuntum sadiqeena (Ⅰ)
- And He taught Adam the Names (qualities), all of them; then He propounded them to the angels and said, "Declare to Me the names of these, if you are truthful." (Ⅱ)
- And He taught Adam all the names, then showed them to the angels, saying: Inform Me of the names of these, if ye are truthful. (Ⅲ)
- And He taught Adam the names, all of them; then He presented them unto the angels and said, ´Now tell Me the names of these, if you speak truly.´ (Ⅳ)
- And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if ye are right." (Ⅵ)
2. 32  
قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ
- Qaloo subhanaka la AAilma lana illa ma AAallamtana innaka anta alAAaleemu alhakeemu (Ⅰ)
- They said, "Glory be to Thee! No knowledge is ours but what Thou Thyself have taught us, verily, you are the Knower, the Wise." (Ⅱ)
- They said: Be glorified! We have no knowledge saving that which Thou hast taught us. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower, the Wise. (Ⅲ)
- They said, ´Glory be to Thee! We know not save what Thou hast taught us. Surely Thou art the All-knowing, the All-wise.´ (Ⅳ)
- They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what Thou Hast taught us: In truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom." (Ⅵ)
2. 33  
قَالَ يَا آدَمُ أَنبِئْهُم بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا أَنبَأَهُم بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ
- Qala ya adamu anbihum biasmaihim falamma anbaahum biasmaihim qala alam aqul lakum innee aAAlamu ghayba alssamawati waalardi waaAAlamu ma tubdoona wama kuntum taktumoona (Ⅰ)
- Said the Lord, "O Adam declare to them the Names;" and when he had declared to them the Names, He said, "Did I not say to you, I know the secrets of the heavens and of the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?" (Ⅱ)
- He said: O Adam! Inform them of their names, and when he had informed them of their names, He said: Did I not tell you that I know the secret of the heavens and the earth ? And I know that which ye disclose and which ye hide. (Ⅲ)
- He said, ´Adam, tell them their names.´ And when he had told them their names He said, ´Did I not tell you I know the unseen things of the heavens and earth? And I know what things you reveal, and what you were hiding.´ (Ⅳ)
- He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names." When he had told them, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?" (Ⅵ)
2. 34  
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ
- Waith qulna lilmalaikati osjudoo liadama fasajadoo illa ibleesa aba waistakbara wakana mina alkafireena (Ⅰ)
- And when we said to the angels, "Bow down before Adam," they bowed before him save only Iblis, who refused and was too proud and became one of the disbelievers. (Ⅱ)
- And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He demurred through pride, and so became a disbeliever. (Ⅲ)
- And when We said to the angels, ´Bow yourselves to Adam´; so they bowed themselves, save Iblis; he refused, and waxed proud, and so he became one of the unbelievers. (Ⅳ)
- And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith. (Ⅵ)
2. 35  
وَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَٰذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
- Waqulna ya adamu oskun anta wazawjuka aljannata wakula minha raghadan haythu shituma wala taqraba hathihi alshshajarata fatakoona mina alththalimeena (Ⅰ)
- And we said, "O Adam dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise, and eat there from amply as you wish; but do not draw near this tree or you will be of the transgressors. (Ⅱ)
- And We said: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and eat ye freely (of the fruits) thereof where ye will; but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrong-doers. (Ⅲ)
- And We said, ´Adam, dwell thou, and thy wife, in the Garden, and eat thereof easefully where you desire; but draw not nigh this tree, lest you be evildoers.´ (Ⅳ)
- We said: "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden; and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) ye will; but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression." (Ⅵ)
2. 36  
فَأَزَلَّهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيهِ ۖ وَقُلْنَا اهْبِطُوا بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ ۖ وَلَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
- Faazallahuma alshshaytanu AAanha faakhrajahuma mimma kana feehi waqulna ihbitoo baAAdukum libaAAdin AAaduwwun walakum fee alardi mustaqarrun wamataAAun ila heenin (Ⅰ)
- But Satan made them backslide there from and drove them out from what they were in, and We said, "Go down, one of you the enemy of the other, and in the earth there is an abode and a provision for a time." (Ⅱ)
- But Satan caused them to deflect therefrom and expelled them from the (happy) state in which they were; and We said: Fall down, one of you a foe unto the other! There shall be for you on earth a habitation and provision for a time. (Ⅲ)
- Then Satan caused them to slip therefrom and brought them out of that they were in; and We said, ´Get you all down, each of you an enemy of each; and in the earth a sojourn shall be yours, and enjoyment for a time.´ (Ⅳ)
- Then did Satan make them slip from the (garden), and get them out of the state (of felicity) in which they had been. We said: "Get ye down, all (ye people), with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood - for a time." (Ⅵ)
2. 37  
فَتَلَقَّىٰ آدَمُ مِن رَّبِّهِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
- Fatalaqqa adamu min rabbihi kalimatin fataba AAalayhi innahu huwa alttawwabu alrraheemu (Ⅰ)
- And Adam obtained certain words (revelations) from his Lord, and He relented towards him, for He is the Relenting, the Compassionate. (Ⅱ)
- Then Adam received from his Lord words (of revelation), and He relented toward him. Lo! He is the relenting, the Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Thereafter Adam received certain words from his Lord, and He turned towards him; truly He turns, and is All-compassionate. (Ⅳ)
- Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration, and his Lord Turned towards him; for He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. (Ⅵ)
2. 38  
قُلْنَا اهْبِطُوا مِنْهَا جَمِيعًا ۖ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّي هُدًى فَمَن تَبِعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
- Qulna ihbitoo minha jameeAAan faimma yatiyannakum minnee hudan faman tabiAAa hudaya fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona (Ⅰ)
- We said, "Go down there from altogether and per chance (or possibly) there may come from Me a Guidance, and whoever follows My Guidance, no fear is theirs, nor shall they grieve. (Ⅱ)
- We said: Go down, all of you, from hence; but verily there cometh unto you from Me a guidance; and whoso followeth My guidance, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. (Ⅲ)
- We said, ´Get you down out of it, all together; yet there shall come to you guidance from Me, and whosoever follows My guidance, no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow. (Ⅳ)
- We said: "Get ye down all from here; and if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from me, whosoever follows My guidance, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Ⅵ)
2. 39  
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
- Waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina olaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona (Ⅰ)
- But those who disbelieve, and call Our signs lies, they are the fellows of the Fire, they shall dwell therein for ever." (Ⅱ)
- But they who disbelieve, and deny Our revelations, such are rightful Peoples of the Fire. They will abide therein. (Ⅲ)
- As for the unbelievers who cry lies to Our signs, those shall be the inhabitants of the Fire, therein dwelling forever.´ (Ⅳ)
- "But those who reject Faith and belie Our Signs, they shall be companions of the Fire; they shall abide therein." (Ⅵ)
2. 40  
يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَوْفُوا بِعَهْدِي أُوفِ بِعَهْدِكُمْ وَإِيَّايَ فَارْهَبُونِ
- Ya banee israeela othkuroo niAAmatiya allatee anAAamtu AAalaykum waawfoo biAAahdee oofi biAAahdikum waiyyaya fairhabooni (Ⅰ)
- O you children of Israel! Remember My favours which I have favoured you with; fulfil My Covenant and I will fulfil your covenant; therefore, fear Me. (Ⅱ)
- O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil your (part of the) covenant, I shall fulfil My (part of the) covenant, and fear Me. (Ⅲ)
- Children of Israel, remember My blessing wherewith I blessed you, and fulfil My covenant and I shall fulfil your covenant; and have awe of Me. (Ⅳ)
- O Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant with Me as I fulfil My Covenant with you, and fear none but Me. (Ⅵ)
2. 41  
وَآمِنُوا بِمَا أَنزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ وَلَا تَكُونُوا أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍ بِهِ ۖ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا وَإِيَّايَ فَاتَّقُونِ
- Waaminoo bima anzaltu musaddiqan lima maAAakum wala takoonoo awwala kafirin bihi wala tashtaroo biayatee thamanan qaleelan waiyyaya faittaqooni (Ⅰ)
- Believe in what I have revealed, verifying what you have got, and be not the first to disbelieve in it, and do not barter My signs for a little price, and keep your duty to Me. (Ⅱ)
- And believe in that which I reveal, confirming that which ye possess already (of the Scripture), and be not first to disbelieve therein, and part not with My revelations for a trifling price, and keep your duty unto Me. (Ⅲ)
- And believe in that I have sent down, confirming that which is with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And sell not My signs for a little price; and fear you Me. (Ⅳ)
- And believe in what I reveal, confirming the revelation which is with you, and be not the first to reject Faith therein, nor sell My Signs for a small price; and fear Me, and Me alone. (Ⅵ)
2. 42  
وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
- Wala talbisoo alhaqqa bialbatili wataktumoo alhaqqa waantum taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- Cloak not truth with vanity and falsehood, nor knowingly hide the truth. (Ⅱ)
- Confound not truth with falsehood, nor knowingly conceal the truth. (Ⅲ)
- And do not confound the truth with vanity, and do not conceal the truth wittingly. (Ⅳ)
- And cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when ye know (what it is). (Ⅵ)
2. 43  
وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَارْكَعُوا مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ
- Waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata wairkaAAoo maAAa alrrakiAAeena (Ⅰ)
- Be steadfast in worship, give alms, and bow down with those who bow. (Ⅱ)
- Establish worship, pay the poor-due, and bow your heads with those who bow (in worship). (Ⅲ)
- And perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and bow with those that bow. (Ⅳ)
- And be steadfast in prayer; practise regular charity; and bow down your heads with those who bow down (in worship). (Ⅵ)
2. 44  
۞ أَتَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبِرِّ وَتَنسَوْنَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَتْلُونَ الْكِتَابَ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
- Atamuroona alnnasa bialbirri watansawna anfusakum waantum tatloona alkitaba afala taAAqiloona (Ⅰ)
- Will you order men to piety and forget it yourselves? You read the Book, do you not then understand? (Ⅱ)
- Enjoin ye righteousness upon mankind while ye yourselves forget (to practise it) ? And ye are readers of the Scripture! Have ye then no sense ? (Ⅲ)
- Will you bid others to piety, and forget yourselves while you recite the Book? Do you not understand? (Ⅳ)
- Do ye enjoin right conduct on the people, and forget (To practise it) yourselves, and yet ye study the Scripture? Will ye not understand? (Ⅵ)
2. 45  
وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ
- WaistaAAeenoo bialssabri waalssalati wainnaha lakabeeratun illa AAala alkhashiAAeena (Ⅰ)
- Seek aid with patience and prayer, though it is a hard thing save for the humble, (Ⅱ)
- Seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard save for the humble- minded, (Ⅲ)
- Seek you help in patience and prayer, for grievous it is, save to the humble (Ⅳ)
- Nay, seek (Allah´s) help with patient perseverance and prayer: It is indeed hard, except to those who bring a lowly spirit,- (Ⅵ)
2. 46  
الَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلَاقُو رَبِّهِمْ وَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
- Allatheena yathunnoona annahum mulaqoo rabbihim waannahum ilayhi rajiAAoona (Ⅰ)
- Who know that they will meet their Lord, and that to Him they are returning. (Ⅱ)
- Who know that they will have to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are returning. (Ⅲ)
- who reckon that they shall meet their Lord and that unto Him they are returning. (Ⅳ)
- Who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him. (Ⅵ)
2. 47  
يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّي فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
- Ya banee israeela othkuroo niAAmatiya allatee anAAamtu AAalaykum waannee faddaltukum AAala alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- O you children of Israel! Remember My favours which I have favoured you with, and that I have preferred you above all others in the world. (Ⅱ)
- O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you and how I preferred you to (all) creatures. (Ⅲ)
- Children of Israel, remember My blessing wherewith I blessed you, and that I have preferred you above all beings; (Ⅳ)
- Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you to all other (for My Message). (Ⅵ)
2. 48  
وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِي نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا شَفَاعَةٌ وَلَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
- Waittaqoo yawman la tajzee nafsun AAan nafsin shayan wala yuqbalu minha shafaAAatun wala yukhathu minha AAadlun wala hum yunsaroona (Ⅰ)
- Fear the day wherein no soul shall pay any recompense for another soul, nor shall intercession be accepted for it, nor shall compensation be taken from it, nor shall they be helped. (Ⅱ)
- And guard yourselves against a day when no soul will in aught avail another, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be received from it, nor will they be helped. (Ⅲ)
- and beware of a day when no soul for another shall give satisfaction, and no intercession shall be accepted from it, nor any counterpoise be taken, neither shall they be helped. (Ⅳ)
- Then guard yourselves against a day when one soul shall not avail another nor shall intercession be accepted for her, nor shall compensation be taken from her, nor shall anyone be helped (from outside). (Ⅵ)
2. 49  
وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَاكُم مِّنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَاءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ
- Waith najjaynakum min ali firAAawna yasoomoonakum sooa alAAathabi yuthabbihoona abnaakum wayastahyoona nisaakum wafee thalikum balaon min rabbikum AAatheemun (Ⅰ)
- When We saved you from Pharaoh´s people who sought to wreak evil and woe on you, slaughtering your sons and letting your women live; in that was a great trial for you from your Lord. (Ⅱ)
- And (remember) when We did deliver you from Pharaoh's folk, who were afflicting you with dreadful torment, slaying your sons and sparing your women: that was a tremendous trial from your Lord. (Ⅲ)
- And when We delivered you from the folk of Pharaoh who were visiting you with evil chastisement, slaughtering your sons, and sparing your women; and in that was a grievous trial from your Lord. (Ⅳ)
- And remember, We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh: They set you hard tasks and punishments, slaughtered your sons and let your women-folk live; therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord. (Ⅵ)
