76. 0  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ)
- In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ)
- Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)
76. 1  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى الْإِنسَانِ حِينٌ مِّنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُن شَيْئًا مَّذْكُورًا
- Hal ata AAala alinsani heenun mina alddahri lam yakun shayan mathkooran (Ⅰ)
- Was there not over man a long period of time when he was a thing unremembered (nothing, not worth mention). (Ⅱ)
- Hath there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered ? (Ⅲ)
- Has there come on man a while of time when he was a thing unremembered? (Ⅳ)
- Has there not been over Man a long period of Time, when he was nothing - (not even) mentioned? (Ⅵ)
76. 2  
إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا
- Inna khalaqna alinsana min nutfatin amshajin nabtaleehi fajaAAalnahu sameeAAan baseeran (Ⅰ)
- Surely We have created man from a small mingled life-germ; in order to try him, We made him hearing and seeing. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing. (Ⅲ)
- We created man of a sperm-drop, a mingling, and We made him hearing, seeing. (Ⅳ)
- Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight. (Ⅵ)
76. 3  
إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا
- Inna hadaynahu alssabeela imma shakiran waimma kafooran (Ⅰ)
- Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! We have shown him the way, whether he be grateful or disbelieving. (Ⅲ)
- Surely We guided him upon the way whether he be thankful or unthankful. (Ⅳ)
- We showed him the Way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (rests on his will). (Ⅵ)
76. 4  
إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَلَاسِلَ وَأَغْلَالًا وَسَعِيرًا
- Inna aAAtadna lilkafireena salasila waaghlalan wasaAAeeran (Ⅰ)
- Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains and yokes and a burning fire. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers manacles and carcans and a raging fire. (Ⅲ)
- Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains, fetters, and a Blaze. (Ⅳ)
- For the Rejecters we have prepared chains, yokes, and a blazing Fire. (Ⅵ)
76. 5  
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِن كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا
- Inna alabrara yashraboona min kasin kana mizajuha kafooran (Ⅰ)
- Surely the righteous shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor, (Ⅱ)
- Lo! the righteous shall drink of a cup whereof the mixture is of Kafur, (Ⅲ)
- Surely the pious shall drink of a cup whose mixture is camphor, (Ⅳ)
- As to the Righteous, they shall drink of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Kafur,- (Ⅵ)
76. 6  
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرًا
- AAaynan yashrabu biha AAibadu Allahi yufajjiroonaha tafjeeran (Ⅰ)
- A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink, flows with abundance. (Ⅱ)
- A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah drink, making it gush forth abundantly, (Ⅲ)
- a fountain whereat drink the servants of God, making it to gush forth plenteously. (Ⅳ)
- A Fountain where the Devotees of Allah do drink, making it flow in unstinted abundance. (Ⅵ)
76. 7  
يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُ مُسْتَطِيرًا
- Yoofoona bialnnathri wayakhafoona yawman kana sharruhu mustateeran (Ⅰ)
- Because they fulfil their vows and fear a day the evil of which spreads far and wide. (Ⅱ)
- (Because) they perform the vow and fear a day whereof the evil is wide- spreading, (Ⅲ)
- They fulfil their vows, and fear a day whose evil is upon the wing; (Ⅳ)
- They perform (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil flies far and wide. (Ⅵ)
76. 8  
وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا
- WayutAAimona alttaAAama AAala hubbihi miskeenan wayateeman waaseeran (Ⅰ)
- And they give food out of love for Allah to the poor and the orphan and the captive: (Ⅱ)
- And feed with food the needy wretch, the orphan and the prisoner, for love of Him, (Ⅲ)
- they give food, for the love of Him, to the needy, the orphan, the captive: (Ⅳ)
- And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive,- (Ⅵ)
76. 9  
إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلَا شُكُورًا
- Innama nutAAimukum liwajhi Allahi la nureedu minkum jazaan wala shukooran (Ⅰ)
- (Saying) We only feed you for Allah´s sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks: (Ⅱ)
- (Saying): We feed you, for the sake of Allah only. We wish for no reward nor thanks from you; (Ⅲ)
- ´We feed you only for the Face of God; we desire no recompense from you, no thankfulness; (Ⅳ)
- (Saying),"We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks. (Ⅵ)
76. 10  
إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسًا قَمْطَرِيرًا
- Inna nakhafu min rabbina yawman AAaboosan qamtareeran (Ⅰ)
- Surely we fear from our Lord a stern, distressful day. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! we fear from our Lord a day of frowning and of fate. (Ⅲ)
- for we fear from our Lord a frowning day, inauspicious. (Ⅳ)
- "We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord." (Ⅵ)
76. 11  
فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا
- Fawaqahumu Allahu sharra thalika alyawmi walaqqahum nadratan wasurooran (Ⅰ)
- Therefore Allah will deliver them from the evil of that day and will shed on them the Light of Beauty and Joy; (Ⅱ)
- Therefor Allah hath warded off from them the evil of that day, and hath made them find brightness and joy; (Ⅲ)
- So God has guarded them from the evil of that day, and has procured them radiancy and gladness, (Ⅳ)
- But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy. (Ⅵ)
76. 12  
وَجَزَاهُم بِمَا صَبَرُوا جَنَّةً وَحَرِيرًا
- Wajazahum bima sabaroo jannatan wahareeran (Ⅰ)
- And reward them, because they were patient, with a Garden and garments of silk, (Ⅱ)
- And hath awarded them for all that they endured, a Garden and silk attire; (Ⅲ)
- and recompensed them for their patience with a Garden, and silk; (Ⅳ)
- And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk. (Ⅵ)
76. 13  
مُّتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ ۖ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسًا وَلَا زَمْهَرِيرًا
- Muttakieena feeha AAala alaraiki la yarawna feeha shamsan wala zamhareeran (Ⅰ)
- Reclining therein on raised couches, they shall find therein neither the severe heat of the sun nor intense cold. (Ⅱ)
- Reclining therein upon couches, they will find there neither (heat of) a sun nor bitter cold. (Ⅲ)
- therein they shall recline upon couches, therein they shall see neither sun nor bitter cold; (Ⅳ)
- Reclining in the (Garden) on raised thrones, they will see there neither the sun´s (excessive heat) nor (the moon´s) excessive cold. (Ⅵ)
76. 14  
وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَالُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا
- Wadaniyatan AAalayhim thilaluha wathullilat qutoofuha tathleelan (Ⅰ)
- And shade thereof is close upon them, and clustered fruits thereof bow down. (Ⅱ)
- The shade thereof is close upon them and the clustered fruits thereof bow down. (Ⅲ)
- near them shall be its shades, and its clusters hung meekly down, (Ⅳ)
- And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility. (Ⅵ)
76. 15  
وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِآنِيَةٍ مِّن فِضَّةٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا
- Wayutafu AAalayhim bianiyatin min fiddatin waakwabin kanat qawareera (Ⅰ)
- And amongst them shall be passed vessels of silver and goblets of crystal, (Ⅱ)
- Goblets of silver are brought round for them, and beakers (as) of glass (Ⅲ)
- and there shall be passed around them vessels of silver, and goblets of crystal, (Ⅳ)
- And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,- (Ⅵ)
76. 16  
قَوَارِيرَ مِن فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرًا
- Qawareera min fiddatin qaddarooha taqdeeran (Ⅰ)
- (Transparent as) glass but made of silver; they will determine the measure thereof. (Ⅱ)
- (Bright as) glass but (made) of silver, which they (themselves) have measured to the measure (of their deeds). (Ⅲ)
- crystal of silver that they have measured -- very exactly. (Ⅳ)
- Crystal-clear, made of silver: they will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes). (Ⅵ)
76. 17  
وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِيلًا
- Wayusqawna feeha kasan kana mizajuha zanjabeelan (Ⅰ)
- And they will be given to drink therein a cup whereof the mixture is of Zanjabil, (Ⅱ)
- There are they watered with a cup whereof the mixture is of Zanjabil, (Ⅲ)
- And therein they shall be given to drink a cup whose mixture is ginger, (Ⅳ)
- And they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Zanjabil,- (Ⅵ)
76. 18  
عَيْنًا فِيهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلْسَبِيلًا
- AAaynan feeha tusamma salsabeelan (Ⅰ)
- From a fountain therein named Salsabil. (Ⅱ)
- (The water of) a spring therein, named Salsabil. (Ⅲ)
- therein a fountain whose name is called Salsabil. (Ⅳ)
- A fountain there, called Salsabil. (Ⅵ)
76. 19  
۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤًا مَّنثُورًا
- Wayatoofu AAalayhim wildanun mukhalladoona itha raaytahum hasibtahum luluan manthooran (Ⅰ)
- And they will be served by youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls. (Ⅱ)
- There wait on them immortal youths, whom, when thou seest, thou wouldst take for scattered pearls. (Ⅲ)
- Immortal youths shall go about them; when thou seest them, thou supposest them scattered pearls, (Ⅳ)
- And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls. (Ⅵ)
76. 20  
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا
- Waitha raayta thamma raayta naAAeeman wamulkan kabeeran (Ⅰ)
- And when you look, you will see blessings and a magnificent kingdom. (Ⅱ)
- When thou seest, thou wilt see there bliss and high estate. (Ⅲ)
- when thou seest them then thou seest bliss and a great kingdom. (Ⅳ)
- And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent. (Ⅵ)
76. 21  
عَالِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌ ۖ وَحُلُّوا أَسَاوِرَ مِن فِضَّةٍ وَسَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُورًا
- AAaliyahum thiyabu sundusin khudrun waistabraqun wahulloo asawira min fiddatin wasaqahum rabbuhum sharaban tahooran (Ⅰ)
- Upon them will be garments of fine green silk and gold brocade, and they shall be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a drink pure and holy. (Ⅱ)
- Their raiment will be fine green silk and gold embroidery. Bracelets of silver will they wear. Their Lord will slake their thirst with a pure drink. (Ⅲ)
- Upon them shall be green garments of silk and brocade; they are adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall give them to drink a pure draught. (Ⅳ)
- Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy. (Ⅵ)
76. 22  
إِنَّ هَٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَاءً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُم مَّشْكُورًا
- Inna hatha kana lakum jazaan wakana saAAyukum mashkooran (Ⅰ)
- Lo! This is a reward for you, and your striving has been recognised and accepted. (Ⅱ)
- (And it will be said unto them): Lo! this is a reward for you. Your endeavour (upon earth) hath found acceptance. (Ⅲ)
- Behold, this is a recompense for you, and your striving is thanked.´ (Ⅳ)
- "Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavour is accepted and recognised." (Ⅵ)
76. 23  
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ تَنزِيلًا
- Inna nahnu nazzalna AAalayka alqurana tanzeelan (Ⅰ)
- Lo! We, even We have revealed the Quran to you in stages. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! We, even We, have revealed unto thee the Qur'an, a revelation; (Ⅲ)
- Surely We have sent down the Koran on thee, a sending down; (Ⅳ)
- It is We Who have sent down the Qur´an to thee by stages. (Ⅵ)
76. 24  
فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ آثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًا
- Faisbir lihukmi rabbika wala tutiAA minhum athiman aw kafooran (Ⅰ)
- Therefore wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them one who is guilty or ungrateful. (Ⅱ)
- So submit patiently to thy Lord's command, and obey not of them any guilty one or disbeliever. (Ⅲ)
- so be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord, and obey not one of them, sinner or unbeliever. (Ⅳ)
- Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them. (Ⅵ)
76. 25  
وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
- Waothkuri isma rabbika bukratan waaseelan (Ⅰ)
- And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening. (Ⅱ)
- Remember the name of thy Lord at morn and evening. (Ⅲ)
- And remember the Name of thy Lord at dawn and in the evening (Ⅳ)
- And celebrate the name of thy Lord morning and evening, (Ⅵ)
76. 26  
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهُ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا
- Wamina allayli faosjud lahu wasabbihhu laylan taweelan (Ⅰ)
- And during part of the night adore Him, and glorify Him a long part of the night. (Ⅱ)
- And worship Him (a portion) of the night. And glorify Him through the livelong night. (Ⅲ)
- and part of the night; bow down before Him and magnify Him through the long night. (Ⅳ)
- And part of the night, prostrate thyself to Him; and glorify Him a long night through. (Ⅵ)
76. 27  
إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ يُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا
- Inna haolai yuhibboona alAAajilata wayatharoona waraahum yawman thaqeelan (Ⅰ)
- But they love the transitory life and put away behind them (ignore the remembrance of) a grievous Day. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. (Ⅲ)
- Surely these men love the hasty world, and leave be behind them a heavy day. (Ⅳ)
- As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard. (Ⅵ)
76. 28  
نَّحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا
- Nahnu khalaqnahum washadadna asrahum waitha shina baddalna amthalahum tabdeelan (Ⅰ)
- We, even We created them and made firm their frame, and when We will We will replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. (Ⅱ)
- We, even We, created them, and strengthened their frame. And when We will, We can replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. (Ⅲ)
- We created them, and We strengthened their joints; and, when We will, We shall exchange their likes. (Ⅳ)
- It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change. (Ⅵ)
76. 29  
إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَن شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا
- Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeelan (Ⅰ)
- Surely this is an admonition; whoever will, let him take a straight path to his Lord. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! this is an Admonishment, that whosoever will may choose a way unto his Lord. (Ⅲ)
- Surely this is a Reminder; so he who will, takes unto his Lord a way. (Ⅳ)
- This is an admonition: Whosoever will, let him take a (straight) Path to his Lord. (Ⅵ)
76. 30  
وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
- Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman (Ⅰ)
- But you will not, except as Allah wills, surely Allah is Knower, Wise; (Ⅱ)
- Yet ye will not, unless Allah willeth. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise. (Ⅲ)
- But you will not unless God wills; surely God is ever All-knowing, All-wise. (Ⅳ)
- But ye will not, except as Allah wills; for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom. (Ⅵ)
76. 31  
يُدْخِلُ مَن يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
- Yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihi waalththalimeena aAAadda lahum AAathaban aleeman (Ⅰ)
- He makes whom He will enter into His mercy; and for evildoers, He has prepared a painful doom. (Ⅱ)
- He maketh whom He will to enter His mercy, and for evil-doers hath prepared a painful doom. (Ⅲ)
- For He admits into His mercy whomsoever He will; as for the evildoers, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement. (Ⅳ)
- He will admit to His Mercy whom He will; But the wrong-doers,- for them has He prepared a grievous Penalty. (Ⅵ)
