77. 0  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ)
- In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ)
- Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)
77. 1  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا
- Waalmursalati AAurfan (Ⅰ)
- I swear by (or call to witness) the emissary winds sent one after another for men´s benefit, (Ⅱ)
- By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another (Ⅲ)
- By the loosed ones successively (Ⅳ)
- By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man´s profit); (Ⅵ)
77. 2  
فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا
- FaalAAasifati AAasfan (Ⅰ)
- By the raging hurricanes, (Ⅱ)
- By the raging hurricanes, (Ⅲ)
- storming tempestuously (Ⅳ)
- Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, (Ⅵ)
77. 3  
وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا
- Waalnnashirati nashran (Ⅰ)
- Which scatter things far and wide, (Ⅱ)
- By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; (Ⅲ)
- by the scatterers scattering (Ⅳ)
- And scatter (things) far and wide; (Ⅵ)
77. 4  
فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا
- Faalfariqati farqan (Ⅰ)
- And separate things one from another, (Ⅱ)
- By those who winnow with a winnowing, (Ⅲ)
- and the severally severing (Ⅳ)
- Then separate them, one from another, (Ⅵ)
77. 5  
فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
- Faalmulqiyati thikran (Ⅰ)
- Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation (or message), (Ⅱ)
- By those who bring down the Reminder, (Ⅲ)
- and those hurling a reminder (Ⅳ)
- Then spread abroad a Message, (Ⅵ)
77. 6  
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
- AAuthran aw nuthran (Ⅰ)
- To clarify or to warn. (Ⅱ)
- To excuse or to warn, (Ⅲ)
- excusing or warning, (Ⅳ)
- Whether of Justification or of Warning;- (Ⅵ)
77. 7  
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ
- Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAAun (Ⅰ)
- Most surely what you are promised must come to pass. (Ⅱ)
- Surely that which ye are promised will befall. (Ⅲ)
- surely that which you are promised is about to fall! (Ⅳ)
- Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. (Ⅵ)
77. 8  
فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
- Faitha alnnujoomu tumisat (Ⅰ)
- So when the stars are made dim, (Ⅱ)
- So when the stars are put out, (Ⅲ)
- When the stars shall be extinguished, (Ⅳ)
- Then when the stars become dim; (Ⅵ)
77. 9  
وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ
- Waitha alssamao furijat (Ⅰ)
- And when the heaven is rent asunder, (Ⅱ)
- And when the sky is riven asunder, (Ⅲ)
- when heaven shall be split (Ⅳ)
- When the heaven is cleft asunder; (Ⅵ)
77. 10  
وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
- Waitha aljibalu nusifat (Ⅰ)
- And when the mountains are carried away as dust, (Ⅱ)
- And when the mountains are blown away, (Ⅲ)
- when the mountains shall be scattered (Ⅳ)
- When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; (Ⅵ)
77. 11  
وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
- Waitha alrrusulu oqqitat (Ⅰ)
- And when the messengers are gathered at their appointed time (Ⅱ)
- And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - (Ⅲ)
- and when the Messengers´ time is set, (Ⅳ)
- And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- (Ⅵ)
77. 12  
لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
- Liayyi yawmin ojjilat (Ⅰ)
- To what Day are these signs appointed? (Ⅱ)
- For what day is the time appointed ? (Ⅲ)
- to what day shall they be delayed? (Ⅳ)
- For what Day are these (portents) deferred? (Ⅵ)
77. 13  
لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ
- Liyawmi alfasli (Ⅰ)
- To the Day of Decision. (Ⅱ)
- For the Day of Decision. (Ⅲ)
- To the Day of Decision. (Ⅳ)
- For the Day of Sorting out. (Ⅵ)
77. 14  
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ
- Wama adraka ma yawmu alfasli (Ⅰ)
- And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? (Ⅱ)
- And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - (Ⅲ)
- And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? (Ⅳ)
- And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? (Ⅵ)
77. 15  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 16  
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ
- Alam nuhliki alawwaleena (Ⅰ)
- Did We not destroy the former generations? (Ⅱ)
- Destroyed We not the former folk, (Ⅲ)
- Did We not destroy the ancients, (Ⅳ)
- Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? (Ⅵ)
77. 17  
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ
- Thumma nutbiAAuhumu alakhireena (Ⅰ)
- Then did We follow them up with later ones. (Ⅱ)
- Then caused the latter folk to follow after ? (Ⅲ)
- and then follow them with the later folk? (Ⅳ)
- So shall We make later (generations) follow them. (Ⅵ)
77. 18  
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
- Kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena (Ⅰ)
- Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. (Ⅱ)
- Thus deal We ever with the guilty. (Ⅲ)
- So We serve the sinners. (Ⅳ)
- Thus do We deal with men of sin. (Ⅵ)
77. 19  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 20  
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاءٍ مَّهِينٍ
- Alam nakhluqkum min main maheenin (Ⅰ)
- Did We not create you from a fluid regarded contemptible? (Ⅱ)
- Did We not create you from a base fluid (Ⅲ)
- Did We not create you of a mean water, (Ⅳ)
- Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- (Ⅵ)
77. 21  
فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
- FajaAAalnahu fee qararin makeenin (Ⅰ)
- Which We laid in a safe abode (the womb), (Ⅱ)
- Which We laid up in a safe abode (Ⅲ)
- that We laid within a sure lodging (Ⅳ)
- The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, (Ⅵ)
77. 22  
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
- Ila qadarin maAAloomin (Ⅰ)
- Till an appointed term? (Ⅱ)
- For a known term ? (Ⅲ)
- till a known term decreed? (Ⅳ)
- For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? (Ⅵ)
77. 23  
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ
- Faqadarna faniAAma alqadiroona (Ⅰ)
- Thus We arrange things - how well are We at arranging things. (Ⅱ)
- Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! (Ⅲ)
- We determined; excellent determiners are We. (Ⅳ)
- For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). (Ⅵ)
77. 24  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 25  
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
- Alam najAAali alarda kifatan (Ⅰ)
- Have We not made the earth draw together to itself, (Ⅱ)
- Have We not made the earth a receptacle (Ⅲ)
- Made We not the earth to be a housing (Ⅳ)
- Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. (Ⅵ)
77. 26  
أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا
- Ahyaan waamwatan (Ⅰ)
- The living and the dead, (Ⅱ)
- Both for the living and the dead, (Ⅲ)
- for the living and for the dead? (Ⅳ)
- The living and the dead, (Ⅵ)
77. 27  
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُم مَّاءً فُرَاتًا
- WajaAAalna feeha rawasiya shamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furatan (Ⅰ)
- And placed therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink sweet water from them? (Ⅱ)
- And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein ? (Ⅲ)
- Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? (Ⅳ)
- And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? (Ⅵ)
77. 28  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 29  
انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
- Intaliqoo ila ma kuntum bihi tukaththiboona (Ⅰ)
- Go on to that which you used to deny!. (Ⅱ)
- (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; (Ⅲ)
- Depart to that you cried was lies! (Ⅳ)
- (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! (Ⅵ)
77. 30  
انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ
- Intaliqoo ila thillin thee thalathi shuAAabin (Ⅰ)
- Go on to the smoke with three branches (or three fold shadow), (Ⅱ)
- Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, (Ⅲ)
- Depart to a triple-massing shadow (Ⅳ)
- "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, (Ⅵ)
77. 31  
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ
- La thaleelin wala yughnee mina allahabi (Ⅰ)
- Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. (Ⅱ)
- (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. (Ⅲ)
- unshading against the blazing flame (Ⅳ)
- "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. (Ⅵ)
77. 32  
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ
- Innaha tarmee bishararin kaalqasri (Ⅰ)
- Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, (Ⅱ)
- Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, (Ⅲ)
- that shoots sparks like dry faggots, (Ⅳ)
- "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, (Ⅵ)
77. 33  
كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ
- Kaannahu jimalatun sufrun (Ⅰ)
- As if they were tawny camels. (Ⅱ)
- (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. (Ⅲ)
- sparks like to golden herds. (Ⅳ)
- "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." (Ⅵ)
77. 34  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 35  
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
- Hatha yawmu la yantiqoona (Ⅰ)
- This is the day on which they shall not speak, (Ⅱ)
- This is a day wherein they speak not, (Ⅲ)
- This is the day they shall not speak (Ⅳ)
- That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. (Ⅵ)
77. 36  
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
- Wala yuthanu lahum fayaAAtathiroona (Ⅰ)
- Nor are they permitted to make excuses (or pleas). (Ⅱ)
- Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. (Ⅲ)
- neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. (Ⅳ)
- Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. (Ⅵ)
77. 37  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 38  
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ
- Hatha yawmu alfasli jamaAAnakum waalawwaleena (Ⅰ)
- This is the Day of Decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. (Ⅱ)
- This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. (Ⅲ)
- ´This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; (Ⅳ)
- That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! (Ⅵ)
77. 39  
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
- Fain kana lakum kaydun fakeedooni (Ⅰ)
- So if you have a plan, plan against Me now. (Ⅱ)
- If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. (Ⅲ)
- if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!´ (Ⅳ)
- Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! (Ⅵ)
77. 40  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 41  
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ
- Inna almuttaqeena fee thilalin waAAuyoonin (Ⅰ)
- Surely those who guard against evil shall be amid shades and fountains, (Ⅱ)
- Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains, (Ⅲ)
- Truly the godfearing shall dwell amid shades and fountains, (Ⅳ)
- As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water). (Ⅵ)
77. 42  
وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
- Wafawakiha mimma yashtahoona (Ⅰ)
- And fruits such as they desire. (Ⅱ)
- And fruits such as they desire. (Ⅲ)
- and such fruits as their hearts desire: (Ⅳ)
- And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire. (Ⅵ)
77. 43  
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
- Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima kuntum taAAmaloona (Ⅰ)
- Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you did. (Ⅱ)
- (Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did. (Ⅲ)
- ´Eat and drink, with wholesome appetite, for that you were working.´ (Ⅳ)
- "Eat ye and drink ye to your heart´s content: for that ye worked (Righteousness). (Ⅵ)
77. 44  
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
- Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena (Ⅰ)
- Surely thus do We reward the doers of good. (Ⅱ)
- Thus do We reward the good. (Ⅲ)
- Even so do We recompense the good-doers. (Ⅳ)
- Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good. (Ⅵ)
77. 45  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 46  
كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
- Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoona (Ⅰ)
- Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are guilty. (Ⅱ)
- Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty. (Ⅲ)
- ´Eat and take your joy a little; you are sinners!´ (Ⅳ)
- (O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners. (Ⅵ)
77. 47  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
77. 48  
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
- Waitha qeela lahumu irkaAAoo la yarkaAAoona (Ⅰ)
- And when it is said to them, "Bow down (in humility), they bow not. (Ⅱ)
- When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down! (Ⅲ)
- When it is said to them, ´Prostrate yourselves!´ they prostrate not. (Ⅳ)
- And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so. (Ⅵ)
77. 49  
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Woe on that day to the rejecters. (Ⅱ)
- Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (Ⅲ)
- Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! (Ⅳ)
- Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! (Ⅵ)
