16. 0  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ)
- In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ)
- Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)
16. 1  
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ أَتَىٰ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوهُ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
- Ata amru Allahi fala tastaAAjiloohu subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona (Ⅰ)
- The Command of Allah will inevitably come to pass; seek not then to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted is He above all that which they join with Him. (Ⅱ)
- The commandment of Allah will come to pass, so seek not ye to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate (with Him). (Ⅲ)
- God´s command comes; so seek not to hasten it. Glory be to Him! High be He exalted above that they associate with Him! (Ⅳ)
- (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! (Ⅵ)
16. 2  
يُنَزِّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ بِالرُّوحِ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ أَنْ أَنذِرُوا أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاتَّقُونِ
- Yunazzilu almalaikata bialrroohi min amrihi AAala man yashao min AAibadihi an anthiroo annahu la ilaha illa ana faittaqooni (Ⅰ)
- He sends down the angels with the Spirit at His command upon whom He will of His servants, saying, "Give warning that there is no God but Me; therefore, fear (do your duty to) Me." (Ⅱ)
- He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no God save Me, so keep your duty unto Me. (Ⅲ)
- He sends down the angels with the Spirit of His command upon whomsoever He will among His servants, saying: Give you warning that there is no God hut I; so fear you Me! (Ⅳ)
- He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me." (Ⅵ)
16. 3  
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ تَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
- Khalaqa alssamawati waalarda bialhaqqi taAAala AAamma yushrikoona (Ⅰ)
- He created the heavens and the earth with truth! Exalted is He above all that which they join with Him! (Ⅱ)
- He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all that they associate (with Him). (Ⅲ)
- He created the heavens and the earth in truth; high be He exalted above that they associate With Him! (Ⅳ)
- He has created the heavens and the earth for just ends: Far is He above having the partners they ascribe to Him! (Ⅵ)
16. 4  
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ
- Khalaqa alinsana min nutfatin faitha huwa khaseemun mubeenun (Ⅰ)
- He created man from a drop (of sperm); and yet, behold, he is an open opponent! (Ⅱ)
- He hath created man from a drop of fluid, yet behold! he is an open opponent. (Ⅲ)
- He created man of a sperm-drop; and, behold, he is a manifest adversary. (Ⅳ)
- He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! (Ⅵ)
16. 5  
وَالْأَنْعَامَ خَلَقَهَا ۗ لَكُمْ فِيهَا دِفْءٌ وَمَنَافِعُ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ
- WaalanAAama khalaqaha lakum feeha difon wamanafiAAu waminha takuloona (Ⅰ)
- The cattle too have We created for you; in them is warmth (clothing) and profit (benefits, uses) and from them do you eat. (Ⅱ)
- And the cattle hath He created, whence ye have warm clothing and uses, and whereof ye eat; (Ⅲ)
- And the cattle -- He created them for you; in them is warmth, and uses various, and of them you eat, (Ⅳ)
- And cattle He has created for you (men): from them ye derive warmth, and numerous benefits, and of their (meat) ye eat. (Ⅵ)
16. 6  
وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ حِينَ تُرِيحُونَ وَحِينَ تَسْرَحُونَ
- Walakum feeha jamalun heena tureehoona waheena tasrahoona (Ⅰ)
- In them there is beauty for you when you drive them home to rest, and when you drive them forth to pasture. (Ⅱ)
- And wherein is beauty for you, when ye bring them home, and when ye take them out to pasture. (Ⅲ)
- and there is beauty in them for you, when you bring them home to rest and when you drive them forth abroad to pasture; (Ⅳ)
- And ye have a sense of pride and beauty in them as ye drive them home in the evening, and as ye lead them forth to pasture in the morning. (Ⅵ)
16. 7  
وَتَحْمِلُ أَثْقَالَكُمْ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍ لَّمْ تَكُونُوا بَالِغِيهِ إِلَّا بِشِقِّ الْأَنفُسِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
- Watahmilu athqalakum ila baladin lam takoonoo baligheehi illa bishiqqi alanfusi inna rabbakum laraoofun raheemun (Ⅰ)
- And they bear your heavy burdens to lands which you could not otherwise reach, except with souls distressed; - verily, your Lord is Kind and Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- And they bear your loads for you unto a land ye could not reach save with great trouble to yourselves. Lo! your Lord is Full of Pity, Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- and they bear your loads unto a land that you never would reach, excepting with great distress. Surely your Lord is All-clement, All-compassionate. (Ⅳ)
- And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful, (Ⅵ)
16. 8  
وَالْخَيْلَ وَالْبِغَالَ وَالْحَمِيرَ لِتَرْكَبُوهَا وَزِينَةً ۚ وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
- Waalkhayla waalbighala waalhameera litarkabooha wazeenatan wayakhluqu ma la taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- And horses too, and mules, and asses, for you to ride upon and for an ornament. He has creates also that which you know not. (Ⅱ)
- And horses and mules and asses (hath He created) that ye may ride them, and for ornament. And He createth that which ye know not. (Ⅲ)
- And horses, and mules, and asses, for you to ride, and as an adornment; and He creates what you know not. (Ⅳ)
- And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and use for show; and He has created (other) things of which ye have no knowledge. (Ⅵ)
16. 9  
وَعَلَى اللَّهِ قَصْدُ السَّبِيلِ وَمِنْهَا جَائِرٌ ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَهَدَاكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
- WaAAala Allahi qasdu alssabeeli waminha jairun walaw shaa lahadakum ajmaAAeena (Ⅰ)
- (Unto or For Allah) is the direction of the Straight Way; from it some turn aside (or are not straight): but had He pleased He would have led you all straight. (Ⅱ)
- And Allah's is the direction of the way, and some (roads) go not straight. And had He willed He would have led you all aright. (Ⅲ)
- God´s it is to show the way; and some do swerve from it. If He willed, He would have guided you all together. (Ⅳ)
- And unto Allah leads straight the Way, but there are ways that turn aside: if Allah had willed, He could have guided all of you. (Ⅵ)
16. 10  
هُوَ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً ۖ لَّكُم مِّنْهُ شَرَابٌ وَمِنْهُ شَجَرٌ فِيهِ تُسِيمُونَ
- Huwa allathee anzala mina alssamai maan lakum minhu sharabun waminhu shajarun feehi tuseemoona (Ⅰ)
- He it is who sends down water from the sky, whence you have drink, and whence the trees grow whereby you feed your flocks. (Ⅱ)
- He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture. (Ⅲ)
- It is He who sends down to you out of heaven water of which you have to drink, and of which trees, for you to pasture your herds, (Ⅳ)
- It is He who sends down rain from the sky: from it ye drink, and out of it (grows) the vegetation on which ye feed your cattle. (Ⅵ)
16. 11  
يُنبِتُ لَكُم بِهِ الزَّرْعَ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالنَّخِيلَ وَالْأَعْنَابَ وَمِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
- Yunbitu lakum bihi alzzarAAa waalzzaytoona waalnnakheela waalaAAnaba wamin kulli alththamarati inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yatafakkaroona (Ⅰ)
- He makes the corn to grow, and the olives, and the palms, and the grapes, and all kinds of other fruit; - verily, herein is indeed a sign for a people who reflect. (Ⅱ)
- Therewith He causeth crops to grow for you, and the olive and the date-palm and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect. (Ⅲ)
- and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. (Ⅳ)
- With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. (Ⅵ)
16. 12  
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ وَالنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَاتٌ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
- Wasakhkhara lakumu allayla waalnnahara waalshshamsa waalqamara waalnnujoomu musakhkharatun biamrihi inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona (Ⅰ)
- And He subjected to you the night and the day, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars are subjected to His command. Verily, in these are signs to a people who have sense (sensibility or wisdom). (Ⅱ)
- And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. (Ⅲ)
- And He subjected to you the night and day, and the sun and moon; and the stars are subjected by His command. Surely in that are signs for a people who understand. (Ⅳ)
- He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. (Ⅵ)
16. 13  
وَمَا ذَرَأَ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَانُهُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
- Wama tharaa lakum fee alardi mukhtalifan alwanuhu inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yaththakkaroona (Ⅰ)
- And what He has produced for you in the earth varying in hue (colours and qualities), verily, in that is a sign for a people who are mindful (aware. remembering, grateful). (Ⅱ)
- And whatsoever He hath created for you in the earth of divers hues, lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who take heed. (Ⅲ)
- And that which He has multiplied for you in the earth of diverse hues. Surely in that is a sign for a people who remember. (Ⅳ)
- And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colours (and qualities): verily in this is a sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah (in gratitude). (Ⅵ)
16. 14  
وَهُوَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ الْبَحْرَ لِتَأْكُلُوا مِنْهُ لَحْمًا طَرِيًّا وَتَسْتَخْرِجُوا مِنْهُ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُونَهَا وَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِيهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِن فَضْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
- Wahuwa allathee sakhkhara albahra litakuloo minhu lahman tariyyan watastakhrijoo minhu hilyatan talbasoonaha watara alfulka mawakhira feehi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona (Ⅰ)
- He it is who has subjected the sea, that you may eat fresh flesh there from; and you bring forth from it ornaments which you wear,- and you may see the ships cleaving through it, and that you may search after His Bounty, and per chance (or possibly) you may give thanks. (Ⅱ)
- And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty and that haply ye may give thanks. (Ⅲ)
- It is He who subjected to you the sea, that you may eat of it fresh flesh, and bring forth out of it ornaments for you to wear; and thou mayest see the ships cleaving through it; and that you may seek of His bounty, and so haply you will be thankful. (Ⅳ)
- It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. (Ⅵ)
16. 15  
وَأَلْقَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَارًا وَسُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
- Waalqa fee alardi rawasiya an tameeda bikum waanharan wasubulan laAAallakum tahtadoona (Ⅰ)
- And He has cast firm mountains on the earth lest it shake with you; and rivers and roads; per chance (or possibly) you may be guided. (Ⅱ)
- And He hath cast into the earth firm hills that it quake not with you, and streams and roads that ye may find a way. (Ⅲ)
- And He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and rivers and ways; so haply you will be guided; (Ⅳ)
- And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; (Ⅵ)
16. 16  
وَعَلَامَاتٍ ۚ وَبِالنَّجْمِ هُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ
- WaAAalamatin wabialnnajmi hum yahtadoona (Ⅰ)
- And landmarks; and by the stars too are they guided. (Ⅱ)
- And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way. (Ⅲ)
- and waymarks; and by the stars they are guided. (Ⅳ)
- And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves. (Ⅵ)
16. 17  
أَفَمَن يَخْلُقُ كَمَن لَّا يَخْلُقُ ۗ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
- Afaman yakhluqu kaman la yakhluqu afala tathakkaroona (Ⅰ)
- Is He who creates like him who creates not? Will you then not remember (be mindful, aware)? (Ⅱ)
- Is He then Who createth as him who createth not ? Will ye not then remember ? (Ⅲ)
- Is He who creates as he who does not create? Will you not remember? (Ⅳ)
- Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? (Ⅵ)
16. 18  
وَإِن تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
- Wain taAAuddoo niAAmata Allahi la tuhsooha inna Allaha laghafoorun raheemun (Ⅰ)
- But if you would number the favours of Allah, you cannot count them. Verily, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- And if ye would count the favour of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- If you count God´s blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. (Ⅳ)
- If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Ⅵ)
16. 19  
وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ
- WaAllahu yaAAlamu ma tusirroona wama tuAAlinoona (Ⅰ)
- Allah knows what you keep secret (or hidden), and what you disclose (or proclaim). (Ⅱ)
- And Allah knoweth that which ye keep hidden and that which ye proclaim. (Ⅲ)
- And God knows what you keep secret and what you publish. (Ⅳ)
- And Allah doth know what ye conceal, and what ye reveal. (Ⅵ)
16. 20  
وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ
- Waallatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi la yakhluqoona shayan wahum yukhlaqoona (Ⅰ)
- And those on whom you call beside Allah cannot create anything, for they are themselves created, (Ⅱ)
- Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. (Ⅲ)
- And those they call upon, apart from God, created nothing, and themselves are created, (Ⅳ)
- Those whom they invoke besides Allah create nothing and are themselves created. (Ⅵ)
16. 21  
أَمْوَاتٌ غَيْرُ أَحْيَاءٍ ۖ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ
- Amwatun ghayru ahyain wama yashAAuroona ayyana yubAAathoona (Ⅰ)
- Dead, not living, nor can they know when they shall be raised. (Ⅱ)
- (They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised. (Ⅲ)
- dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. (Ⅳ)
- (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. (Ⅵ)
16. 22  
إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۚ فَالَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مُّنكِرَةٌ وَهُم مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ
- Ilahukum ilahun wahidun faallatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati quloobuhum munkiratun wahum mustakbiroona (Ⅰ)
- Your God is one God, and those who believe not in the Hereafter their heart are given to denial, and they are inflated with pride! (Ⅱ)
- Your God is One God. But as for those who believe not in the Hereafter their hearts refuse to know, for they are proud. (Ⅲ)
- Your God is One God. And they who believe not in the world to come, their hearts deny, and they have waxed proud. (Ⅳ)
- Your Allah is one Allah: as to those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts refuse to know, and they are arrogant. (Ⅵ)
16. 23  
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ
- La jarama anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma yusirroona wama yuAAlinoona innahu la yuhibbu almustakbireena (Ⅰ)
- Without a doubt Allah knows what you keep secret and what you disclose. Verily, He loves not those inflated with pride. (Ⅱ)
- Assuredly Allah knoweth that which they keep hidden and that which they proclaim. Lo! He loveth not the proud. (Ⅲ)
- Without a doubt God knows what they keep secret and what they publish; He loves not those that wax proud. (Ⅳ)
- Undoubtedly Allah doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal: verily He loveth not the arrogant. (Ⅵ)
16. 24  
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُم مَّاذَا أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ ۙ قَالُوا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
- Waitha qeela lahum matha anzala rabbukum qaloo asateeru alawwaleena (Ⅰ)
- And when it is said to them, "What is it that your Lord has revealed (sent down)?" they say, "Old folks´ tales!" (Ⅱ)
- And when it is said unto them: What hath your Lord revealed ? they say: (Mere) fables of the men of old, (Ⅲ)
- And when it is said to them, ´What has your Lord sent down?´ they say, ´Fairy-tales of the ancients.´ (Ⅳ)
- When it is said to them, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "Tales of the ancients!" (Ⅵ)
16. 25  
لِيَحْمِلُوا أَوْزَارَهُمْ كَامِلَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۙ وَمِنْ أَوْزَارِ الَّذِينَ يُضِلُّونَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ أَلَا سَاءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ
- Liyahmiloo awzarahum kamilatan yawma alqiyamati wamin awzari allatheena yudilloonahum bighayri AAilmin ala saa ma yaziroona (Ⅰ)
- Let them bear the burden of their sins in full on the Day of Resurrection, and also some of the burdens of those whom they led astray without knowledge. Alas! How grievous is the burden they shall bear! (Ⅱ)
- That they may bear their burdens undiminished on the Day of Resurrection, with somewhat of the burdens of those whom they mislead without knowledge. Ah! evil is that which they bear! (Ⅲ)
- That they may bear their loads complete on the Day of Resurrection, and some of the loads of those that they lead astray without any knowledge. O evil the load they bear! (Ⅳ)
- Let them bear, on the Day of Judgment, their own burdens in full, and also (something) of the burdens of those without knowledge, whom they misled. Alas, how grievous the burdens they will bear! (Ⅵ)
16. 26  
قَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَى اللَّهُ بُنْيَانَهُم مِّنَ الْقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّقْفُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَأَتَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
- Qad makara allatheena min qablihim faata Allahu bunyanahum mina alqawaAAidi fakharra AAalayhimu alssaqfu min fawqihim waatahumu alAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona (Ⅰ)
- Those who were before them plotted, but Allah struck at the foundations of their building, and the roof fell on them from above, and the torment came to them, from whence they could not perceive. (Ⅱ)
- Those before them plotted, so Allah struck at the foundations of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them from above them, and the doom came on them whence they knew not; (Ⅲ)
- Those that were before them contrived; then God came upon their building from the foundations, and the roof fell down on them from over them, and the chastisement came upon them from whence they were not aware. (Ⅳ)
- Those before them did also plot (against Allah´s Way): but Allah took their structures from their foundations, and the roof fell down on them from above; and the Wrath seized them from directions they did not perceive. (Ⅵ)
16. 27  
ثُمَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُخْزِيهِمْ وَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تُشَاقُّونَ فِيهِمْ ۚ قَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ إِنَّ الْخِزْيَ الْيَوْمَ وَالسُّوءَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
- Thumma yawma alqiyamati yukhzeehim wayaqoolu ayna shurakaiya allatheena kuntum tushaqqoona feehim qala allatheena ootoo alAAilma inna alkhizya alyawma waalssooa AAala alkafireena (Ⅰ)
- Then on the Day of Resurrection He will put them to shame, and say, "Where are My associates about whom you were divided into parties?" Those endowed with knowledge will say, "Verily, to-day disgrace, and evil cover the disbelievers, (Ⅱ)
- Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and will say: Where are My partners, for whose sake ye opposed (My guidance) ? Those who have been given knowledge will say: Disgrace this day and evil are upon the disbelievers, (Ⅲ)
- Then on the Day of Resurrection He will degrade them, saying, ´Where are My associates concerning which you made a breach together?´ Those that were given the knowledge will say, ´Degradation today and evil are on the unbelievers, (Ⅳ)
- Then, on the Day of Judgment, He will cover them with shame, and say: "Where are My ´partners´ concerning whom ye used to dispute (with the godly)?" Those endued with knowledge will say: "This Day, indeed, are the Unbelievers covered with shame and misery,- (Ⅵ)
16. 28  
الَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ظَالِمِي أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ فَأَلْقَوُا السَّلَمَ مَا كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ مِن سُوءٍ ۚ بَلَىٰ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
- Allatheena tatawaffahumu almalaikatu thalimee anfusihim faalqawoo alssalama ma kunna naAAmalu min sooin bala inna Allaha AAaleemun bima kuntum taAAmaloona (Ⅰ)
- "Those whom the angels take away while they are wronging their own souls." Then will they offer peace and surrender, saying "We have done no evil (knowingly)." (The reply will be) "Nay! Surely Allah knows what you used to do. (Ⅱ)
- Whom the angels cause to die while they are wronging themselves. Then will they make full submission (saying): We used not to do any wrong. Nay! Surely Allah is Knower of what ye used to do. (Ⅲ)
- whom the angels take while still they are wronging themselves.´ Then they will offer surrender: ´We were doing nothing evil. ´Nay; but surety God has knowledge of the things you did. (Ⅳ)
- "(Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of wrong-doing to their own souls." Then would they offer submission (with the pretence), "We did no evil (knowingly)." (The angels will reply), "Nay, but verily Allah knoweth all that ye did; (Ⅵ)
16. 29  
فَادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
- Faodkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideena feeha falabisa mathwa almutakabbireena (Ⅰ)
- "So enter you the doors of hell, to dwell therein; ill, indeed, is the resort of the arrogant." (Ⅱ)
- So enter the gates of hell, to dwell therein for ever. Woeful indeed will be the lodging of the arrogant. (Ⅲ)
- So enter the gates of Gehenna, there to dwell forever.´ Evil is the lodging of those that wax proud. (Ⅳ)
- "So enter the gates of Hell, to dwell therein. Thus evil indeed is the abode of the arrogant." (Ⅵ)
16. 30  
۞ وَقِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا مَاذَا أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ ۚ قَالُوا خَيْرًا ۗ لِّلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا فِي هَٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ ۚ وَلَدَارُ الْآخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ ۚ وَلَنِعْمَ دَارُ الْمُتَّقِينَ
- Waqeela lillatheena ittaqaw matha anzala rabbukum qaloo khayran lillatheena ahsanoo fee hathihi alddunya hasanatun waladaru alakhirati khayrun walaniAAma daru almuttaqeena (Ⅰ)
- And it will be said to those who fear Allah (the righteous), "What is it that your Lord has revealed (sent down)?" They will say, "All that is good." For those who do good, there is good in this world; but certainly the abode of the Hereafter is better; and surely excellent is the abode of the righteous (or those who fear). (Ⅱ)
- And it is said unto those who ward off (evil): What hath your Lord revealed ? They say: Good. For those who do good in this world there is a good (reward) and the home of the Hereafter will be better. Pleasant indeed will be the home of those who ward off (evil) - (Ⅲ)
- And it shall be said to the godfearing, ´What has your Lord sent down?´ They will say, ´Good! For those who do good in this world good; and surely the abode of the world to come is better; excellent is the abode of the godfearing -- (Ⅳ)
- To the righteous (when) it is said, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "All that is good." To those who do good, there is good in this world, and the Home of the Hereafter is even better and excellent indeed is the Home of the righteous,- (Ⅵ)
16. 31  
جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَاءُونَ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْزِي اللَّهُ الْمُتَّقِينَ
- Jannatu AAadnin yadkhuloonaha tajree min tahtiha alanharu lahum feeha ma yashaoona kathalika yajzee Allahu almuttaqeena (Ⅰ)
- Gardens of Eternity which they shall enter, beneath which rivers flow; therein shall they have what they please; - thus does Allah reward those who fear Him (or repel evil). (Ⅱ)
- Gardens of Eden which they enter, underneath which rivers flow, wherein they have what they will. Thus Allah repayeth those who ward off (evil), (Ⅲ)
- Gardens of Eden they shall enter, underneath which rivers flow, wherein they shall have all they will. So God recompenses the godfearing, (Ⅳ)
- Gardens of Eternity which they will enter: beneath them flow (pleasant) rivers: they will have therein all that they wish: thus doth Allah reward the righteous,- (Ⅵ)
16. 32  
الَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ طَيِّبِينَ ۙ يَقُولُونَ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
- Allatheena tatawaffahumu almalaikatu tayyibeena yaqooloona salamun AAalaykumu odkhuloo aljannata bima kuntum taAAmaloona (Ⅰ)
- To those whom the angels take away in a goodly state (those who die righteous) they shall say, "Peace be upon you! Enter you into the Garden (Paradise) for that which you have done." (Ⅱ)
- Those whom the angels cause to die (when they are) good. They say: Peace be unto you! Enter the Garden because of what ye used to do. (Ⅲ)
- whom the angels take while they are goodly, saying, ´Peace be on you! Enter Paradise for that you were doing.´ (Ⅳ)
- (Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of purity, saying (to them), "Peace be on you; enter ye the Garden, because of (the good) which ye did (in the world)." (Ⅵ)
16. 33  
هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
- Hal yanthuroona illa an tatiyahumu almalaikatu aw yatiya amru rabbika kathalika faAAala allatheena min qablihim wama thalamahumu Allahu walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona (Ⅰ)
- Do they expect other than that the angels should come to take them away, or that your Lord´s command should come to pass? Even so did those before them; Allah did not wrong them; but it was themselves they wronged. (Ⅱ)
- Await they aught say that the angels should come unto them or thy Lord's command should come to pass ? Even so did those before them. Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves, (Ⅲ)
- Do they look for aught but that the angels shall come to them, or thy Lord´s command shall come? So did those before them, and God wronged them not, but themselves they wronged. (Ⅳ)
- Do the (ungodly) wait until the angels come to them, or there comes the Command of thy Lord (for their doom)? So did those who went before them. But Allah wronged them not: nay, they wronged their own souls. (Ⅵ)
16. 34  
فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
- Faasabahum sayyiatu ma AAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona (Ⅰ)
- So that the evil which they had done smote them, and that which they mocked surrounded (imprisoned, restricted, hemmed them in). (Ⅱ)
- So that the evils of what they did smote them, and that which they used to mock surrounded them. (Ⅲ)
- So the evil things that they wrought. smote them, and they were encompassed by that they mocked at. (Ⅳ)
- But the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that very (Wrath) at which they had scoffed hemmed them in. (Ⅵ)
16. 35  
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا لَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا عَبَدْنَا مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ نَّحْنُ وَلَا آبَاؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ فَهَلْ عَلَى الرُّسُلِ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ
- Waqala allatheena ashrakoo law shaa Allahu ma AAabadna min doonihi min shayin nahnu wala abaona wala harramna min doonihi min shayin kathalika faAAala allatheena min qablihim fahal AAala alrrusuli illa albalaghu almubeenu (Ⅰ)
- And the idolaters (those who associated others with Allah) said, "Had Allah pleased we had not served aught beside Him, neither we nor our fathers; nor had we forbidden aught without His permission". Even so did those before them. Are the messengers charged to do anything but to deliver their message clearly? (Ⅱ)
- And the idolaters say: Had Allah willed, we had not worshipped aught beside Him, we and our fathers, nor had we forbidden aught without (command from) Him. Even so did those before them. Are the messengers charged with aught save plain conveyance (of the message) ? (Ⅲ)
- The idolators say, ´If God had willed we would not have served; apart from Him, anything, neither we nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden, apart from Him, anything.´ So did those before them; yet is aught for the Messengers, but to deliver the manifest Message? (Ⅳ)
- The worshippers of false gods say: "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear Message? (Ⅵ)
16. 36  
وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ ۚ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- Walaqad baAAathna fee kulli ommatin rasoolan ani oAAbudoo Allaha waijtaniboo alttaghoota faminhum man hada Allahu waminhum man haqqat AAalayhi alddalalatu faseeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena (Ⅰ)
- Verily, We have sent to every nation a Messenger, proclaiming, "Serve you Allah, and avoid Taghut (false gods)." And amongst them are some whom Allah has guided, and amongst them are some for whom error has become established. So travel through the earth, and behold what was the end of those who denied them. (Ⅱ)
- And verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming): Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then some of them (there were) whom Allah guided, and some of them (there were) upon whom error had just hold. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for the deniers! (Ⅲ)
- Indeed, We sent forth among every nation a Messenger,; saying: ´Serve you God, and eschew idols.´ Then some. of them God guided, and some were justly disposed to error. So journey in the land, and behold how was the end of them that cried lies. (Ⅳ)
- For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), "Serve Allah, and eschew Evil": of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth). (Ⅵ)
16. 37  
إِن تَحْرِصْ عَلَىٰ هُدَاهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي مَن يُضِلُّ ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ
- In tahris AAala hudahum fainna Allaha la yahdee man yudillu wama lahum min nasireena (Ⅰ)
- If you are eager for their guidance, verily, Allah guides not those who go astray (or mislead), nor have they any helpers. (Ⅱ)
- Even if thou (O Muhammad) desirest their right guidance, still Allah assuredly will not guide him who misleadeth. Such have no helpers. (Ⅲ)
- Though thou art ever so eager to guide them, God guides not those whom He leads astray; they have no helpers. (Ⅳ)
- If thou art anxious for their guidance, yet Allah guideth not such as He leaves to stray, and there is none to help them. (Ⅵ)
16. 38  
وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ ۙ لَا يَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ مَن يَمُوتُ ۚ بَلَىٰ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
- Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim la yabAAathu Allahu man yamootu bala waAAdan AAalayhi haqqan walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- They swear by their strongest oath, "Allah will not raise up him who dies."- Nay! But it is a promise binding on Him in truth. But most know not. (Ⅱ)
- And they swear by Allah their most binding oaths (that) Allah will not raise up him who dieth. Nay, but it is a promise (binding) upon Him in truth, but most of mankind know not, (Ⅲ)
- have sworn by God the most earnest oaths God will never raise up him who dies; nay, it is a promise binding upon Him, but most men know not, (Ⅳ)
- They swear their strongest oaths by Allah, that Allah will not raise up those who die: Nay, but it is a promise (binding) on Him in truth: but most among mankind realise it not. (Ⅵ)
16. 39  
لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ الَّذِي يَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا كَاذِبِينَ
- Liyubayyina lahumu allathee yakhtalifoona feehi waliyaAAlama allatheena kafaroo annahum kanoo kathibeena (Ⅰ)
- (It is) To explain to them that which they disputed about, and that those who disbelieved may know that they are liars. (Ⅱ)
- That He may explain unto them that wherein they differ, and that those who disbelieved may know that they were liars. (Ⅲ)
- so that He may make clear to them that whereon they were at variance, and that the unbelievers may know that they were truly liars. (Ⅳ)
- (They must be raised up), in order that He may manifest to them the truth of that wherein they differ, and that the rejecters of Truth may realise that they had indeed (surrendered to) Falsehood. (Ⅵ)
16. 40  
إِنَّمَا قَوْلُنَا لِشَيْءٍ إِذَا أَرَدْنَاهُ أَن نَّقُولَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ
- Innama qawluna lishayin itha aradnahu an naqoola lahu kun fayakoonu (Ⅰ)
- We only say unto a thing We intend, the Word, "BE," and it is. (Ⅱ)
- And Our word unto a thing, when We intend it, is only that We say unto it: Be! and it is. (Ⅲ)
- The only words We say to a thing, when We desire it, is that We say to it ´Be,´ and it is. (Ⅳ)
- For to anything which We have willed, We but say the word, "Be", and it is. (Ⅵ)
16. 41  
وَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا فِي اللَّهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً ۖ وَلَأَجْرُ الْآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
- Waallatheena hajaroo fee Allahi min baAAdi ma thulimoo lanubawwiannahum fee alddunya hasanatan walaajru alakhirati akbaru law kanoo yaAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- But those who fled their homes for Allah´s sake, after they were wronged (oppressed), We will surely establish them in this world with good things; but truly the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if you did but know, (Ⅱ)
- And those who became fugitives for the cause of Allah after they had been oppressed, We verily shall give them goodly lodging in the world, and surely the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew; (Ⅲ)
- And those that emigrated in God´s cause after they were wronged -- We shall surely lodge them in this world in a goodly lodging, and the wage of the world to come is greater, did they but know; (Ⅳ)
- To those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, after suffering oppression,- We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world; but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater. If they only realised (this)! (Ⅵ)
16. 42  
الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
- Allatheena sabaroo waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona (Ⅰ)
- Those who are patient, and put their trust (or reliance) upon their Lord, (Ⅱ)
- Such as are steadfast and put their trust in Allah. (Ⅲ)
- even such men as are patient, and put their trust in their Lord. (Ⅳ)
- (They are) those who persevere in patience, and put their trust on their Lord. (Ⅵ)
16. 43  
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
- Wama arsalna min qablika illa rijalan noohee ilayhim faisaloo ahla alththikri in kuntum la taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- And We have not sent before you any but men, whom We inspired - Ask you those who possess the Reminder (or the Message), if you know not yourselves, (Ⅱ)
- And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men whom We inspired - Ask the followers of the Remembrance if ye know not! - (Ⅲ)
- We sent not any before thee, except men to whom We revealed: ´Question the people of the Remembrance, if it should be that you do not know -- (Ⅳ)
- And before thee also the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: if ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message. (Ⅵ)
16. 44  
بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالزُّبُرِ ۗ وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
- Bialbayyinati waalzzuburi waanzalna ilayka alththikra litubayyina lilnnasi ma nuzzila ilayhim walaAAallahum yatafakkaroona (Ⅰ)
- With Manifest (clear) Signs and with Books of Prophecy; and We have sent down the Reminder to you too, that you may explain to men clearly what has been sent down to them, and that they may reflect. (Ⅱ)
- With clear proofs and writings; and We have revealed unto thee the Remembrance that thou mayst explain to mankind that which hath been revealed for them, and that haply they may reflect. (Ⅲ)
- with the clear signs, and the Psalms; and We have sent down to thee the Remembrance that thou mayest make clear to mankind what was sent down to them; and so haply they will reflect. (Ⅳ)
- (We sent them) with Clear Signs and Books of dark prophecies; and We have sent down unto thee (also) the Message; that thou mayest explain clearly to men what is sent for them, and that they may give thought. (Ⅵ)
16. 45  
أَفَأَمِنَ الَّذِينَ مَكَرُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ أَن يَخْسِفَ اللَّهُ بِهِمُ الْأَرْضَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
- Afaamina allatheena makaroo alssayyiati an yakhsifa Allahu bihimu alarda aw yatiyahumu alAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona (Ⅰ)
- Are those, who devise evil plots, secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them up, or that His Wrath will not seize them from whence they cannot perceive. (Ⅱ)
- Are they who plan ill-deeds then secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the doom will not come on them whence they know not ? (Ⅲ)
- Do they feel secure, those who devise evil things, that God will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the chastisement will not come upon them, from whence they are not aware? (Ⅳ)
- Do then those who devise evil (plots) feel secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them up, or that the Wrath will not seize them from directions they little perceive?- (Ⅵ)
16. 46  
أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ فِي تَقَلُّبِهِمْ فَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
- Aw yakhuthahum fee taqallubihim fama hum bimuAAjizeena (Ⅰ)
- Or that He may not call them to account in the midst of their going to and fro, without the possibility of frustrating Him? (Ⅱ)
- Or that He will not seize them in their going to and fro so that there be no escape for them ? (Ⅲ)
- Or that He will not seize them in their going to and fro, and they will not be able to frustrate Him? (Ⅳ)
- Or that He may not call them to account in the midst of their goings to and fro, without a chance of their frustrating Him?- (Ⅵ)
16. 47  
أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ عَلَىٰ تَخَوُّفٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
- Aw yakhuthahum AAala takhawwufin fainna rabbakum laraoofun raheemun (Ⅰ)
- Or that He should seize them with a gradual wasting? Verily, your Lord is indeed Kind, Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- Or that He will not seize them with a gradual wasting ? Lo! thy Lord is indeed Full of Pity, Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Or that He will not seize them, little by little destroying them? Surely thy Lord is All-clement, All-compassionate. (Ⅳ)
- Or that He may not call them to account by a process of slow wastage - for thy Lord is indeed full of kindness and mercy. (Ⅵ)
16. 48  
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَىٰ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ يَتَفَيَّأُ ظِلَالُهُ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَالشَّمَائِلِ سُجَّدًا لِّلَّهِ وَهُمْ دَاخِرُونَ
- Awa lam yaraw ila ma khalaqa Allahu min shayin yatafayyao thilaluhu AAani alyameeni waalshshamaili sujjadan lillahi wahum dakhiroona (Ⅰ)
- Do they not look at Allah´s creations, even among (inanimate things) - how their shadows turn to the right or the left, in prostration (obeisance or submission) to Allah and they are humble (or shrinking)? (Ⅱ)
- Have they not observed all things that Allah hath created, how their shadows incline to the right and to the left, making prostration unto Allah, and they are lowly ? (Ⅲ)
- Have they not regarded all things that God has created casting their shadows to the right and to the left, bowing themselves before God in all lowliness? (Ⅳ)
- Do they not look at Allah´s creation, (even) among (inanimate) things,- How their (very) shadows turn round, from the right and the left, prostrating themselves to Allah, and that in the humblest manner? (Ⅵ)
16. 49  
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِن دَابَّةٍ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
- Walillahi yasjudu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi min dabbatin waalmalaikatu wahum la yastakbiroona (Ⅰ)
- And unto Allah does prostration (obeisance) whatever is in the heavens and in the earth, whether living creature or angel; nor are they arrogant (inflated with pride). (Ⅱ)
- And unto Allah maketh prostration whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud. (Ⅲ)
- To God bows everything in the heavens, and every creature crawling on the earth, and the angels. They have not waxed proud; (Ⅳ)
- And to Allah doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels: for none are arrogant (before their Lord). (Ⅵ)
