16. 100  
إِنَّمَا سُلْطَانُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَتَوَلَّوْنَهُ وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِهِ مُشْرِكُونَ
- Innama sultanuhu AAala allatheena yatawallawnahu waallatheena hum bihi mushrikoona (Ⅰ)
- His power is only over those who take him for a patron, and over the idolaters. (Ⅱ)
- His power is only over those who make a friend of him, and those who ascribe partners unto Him (Allah). (Ⅲ)
- his authority is over those who take him for their friend and ascribe associates to God. (Ⅳ)
- His authority is over those only, who take him as patron and who join partners with Allah. (Ⅵ)
16. 101  
وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَا آيَةً مَّكَانَ آيَةٍ ۙ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُفْتَرٍ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
- Waitha baddalna ayatan makana ayatin waAllahu aAAlamu bima yunazzilu qaloo innama anta muftarin bal aktharuhum la yaAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- And whenever We change one revelation for another - Allah knows best what He reveals (sends down) - They say, "You are but inventing!"- Nay, most of them know not. (Ⅱ)
- And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not. (Ⅲ)
- And when We exchange a verse in the place of another verse and God knows very well what He is sending down -- they say, ´Thou art a mere forger!´ Nay, but the most of them have no knowledge. (Ⅳ)
- When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but a forger": but most of them understand not. (Ⅵ)
16. 102  
قُلْ نَزَّلَهُ رُوحُ الْقُدُسِ مِن رَّبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
- Qul nazzalahu roohu alqudusi min rabbika bialhaqqi liyuthabbita allatheena amanoo wahudan wabushra lilmuslimeena (Ⅰ)
- Say, "The Holy Spirit brought it down from your Lord in truth, that it may confirm (the faith of) those who believe, and for a guidance and glad tidings to those who have Surrendered unto Allah (Muslims)." (Ⅱ)
- Say: The holy Spirit hath delivered it from thy Lord with truth, that it may confirm (the faith of) those who believe, and as guidance and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah). (Ⅲ)
- Say: ´The Holy Spirit sent it down from thy Lord in truth, and to confirm those who believe, and to be a guidance and good tidings to those who surrender.´ (Ⅳ)
- Say, the Holy Spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims. (Ⅵ)
16. 103  
وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهُ بَشَرٌ ۗ لِّسَانُ الَّذِي يُلْحِدُونَ إِلَيْهِ أَعْجَمِيٌّ وَهَٰذَا لِسَانٌ عَرَبِيٌّ مُّبِينٌ
- Walaqad naAAlamu annahum yaqooloona innama yuAAallimuhu basharun lisanu allathee yulhidoona ilayhi aAAjamiyyun wahatha lisanun AAarabiyyun mubeenun (Ⅰ)
- We know well that they say, "It is only some mortal who teaches him." But the tongue of him they point to (Muhammad) is outlandish, while this (Quran) is Arabic, pure and clear. (Ⅱ)
- And We know well that they say: Only a man teacheth him. The speech of him at whom they falsely hint is outlandish, and this is clear Arabic speech. (Ⅲ)
- And We know very well that they say, ´Only a mortal is teaching him.´ The speech of him at whom they hint is barbarous; and this is speech Arabic, manifest. (Ⅳ)
- We know indeed that they say, "It is a man that teaches him." The tongue of him they wickedly point to is notably foreign, while this is Arabic, pure and clear. (Ⅵ)
16. 104  
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَهْدِيهِمُ اللَّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
- Inna allatheena la yuminoona biayati Allahi la yahdeehimu Allahu walahum AAathabun aleemun (Ⅰ)
- Verily, those who believe not in Allah´s signs, Allah will not guide them, and for them is grievous woe. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, Allah guideth them not and theirs will be a painful doom. (Ⅲ)
- Those that believe not in the signs of God, God will not guide; there awaits them a painful chastisement. (Ⅳ)
- Those who believe not in the Signs of Allah,- Allah will not guide them, and theirs will be a grievous Penalty. (Ⅵ)
16. 105  
إِنَّمَا يَفْتَرِي الْكَذِبَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ
- Innama yaftaree alkathiba allatheena la yuminoona biayati Allahi waolaika humu alkathiboona (Ⅰ)
- Only they are the inventors who believe not in Allah´s signs; and these, they are the liars. (Ⅱ)
- Only they invent falsehood who believe not Allah's revelations, and (only) they are the liars. (Ⅲ)
- They only forge falsehood, who believe not in the signs of God, and those -- they are the liars. (Ⅳ)
- It is those who believe not in the Signs of Allah, that forge falsehood: it is they who lie! (Ⅵ)
16. 106  
مَن كَفَرَ بِاللَّهِ مِن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِهِ إِلَّا مَنْ أُكْرِهَ وَقَلْبُهُ مُطْمَئِنٌّ بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَٰكِن مَّن شَرَحَ بِالْكُفْرِ صَدْرًا فَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
- Man kafara biAllahi min baAAdi eemanihi illa man okriha waqalbuhu mutmainnun bialeemani walakin man sharaha bialkufri sadran faAAalayhim ghadabun mina Allahi walahum AAathabun AAatheemun (Ⅰ)
- Whoever disbelieves in Allah after having believed - unless it be one who is forced and whose heart is still content in the faith - but whoever expands his breast to (easing) disbelieve - on them is wrath from Allah, and theirs is a mighty doom. (Ⅱ)
- Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom. (Ⅲ)
- Whoso disbelieves in God, after he has believed -- excepting him who has been compelled, and his heart is still at rest in his belief -- but whosoever´s breast is expanded in unbelief, upon them shall rest anger from God, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement; (Ⅳ)
- Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief,- except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith - but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty. (Ⅵ)
16. 107  
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ
- Thalika biannahumu istahabboo alhayata alddunya AAala alakhirati waanna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alkafireena (Ⅰ)
- That is because they preferred the love of the life of this world to the Hereafter, and because Allah guides not unbelieving people. (Ⅱ)
- That is because they have chosen the life of the world rather than the Hereafter, and because Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk. (Ⅲ)
- that, because they have preferred the present life over the world to come, and that God guides not the people of the unbelievers. (Ⅳ)
- This because they love the life of this world better than the Hereafter: and Allah will not guide those who reject Faith. (Ⅵ)
16. 108  
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ
- Olaika allatheena tabaAAa Allahu AAala quloobihim wasamAAihim waabsarihim waolaika humu alghafiloona (Ⅰ)
- These are they whose heart, and hearing, and sight, Allah has sealed, and these, they are the heedless. (Ⅱ)
- Such are they whose hearts and ears and eyes Allah hath sealed. And such are the heedless. (Ⅲ)
- Those -- God has set a seal on their hearts, and their hearing, and their eyes, and those -- they are the heedless ones; (Ⅳ)
- Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed up, and they take no heed. (Ⅵ)
16. 109  
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
- La jarama annahum fee alakhirati humu alkhasiroona (Ⅰ)
- Assuredly, in the Hereafter they will be the losers. (Ⅱ)
- Assuredly in the Hereafter they are the losers. (Ⅲ)
- without a doubt, in the world to come they will be the losers. (Ⅳ)
- Without doubt, in the Hereafter they will perish. (Ⅵ)
16. 110  
ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا مِن بَعْدِ مَا فُتِنُوا ثُمَّ جَاهَدُوا وَصَبَرُوا إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِن بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
- Thumma inna rabbaka lillatheena hajaroo min baAAdi ma futinoo thumma jahadoo wasabaroo inna rabbaka min baAAdiha laghafoorun raheemun (Ⅰ)
- Then, verily, your Lord - to those who fled after they had been tried, and then fought strenuously and were patient, - verily, your Lord after that will be Forgiving and Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- Then lo! thy Lord - for those who became fugitives after they had been persecuted, and then fought and were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Then, surely thy Lord -- unto those who have emigrated after persecution, then struggled and were patient -- surely thy Lord thereafter is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. (Ⅳ)
- But verily thy Lord,- to those who leave their homes after trials and persecutions,- and who thereafter strive and fight for the faith and patiently persevere,- Thy Lord, after all this is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (Ⅵ)
16. 111  
۞ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي كُلُّ نَفْسٍ تُجَادِلُ عَن نَّفْسِهَا وَتُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
- Yawma tatee kullu nafsin tujadilu AAan nafsiha watuwaffa kullu nafsin ma AAamilat wahum la yuthlamoona (Ⅰ)
- On the Day when every soul will come to plead for itself, every soul shall be paid what it has earned, and they shall not be wronged. (Ⅱ)
- On the Day when every soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be repaid what it did, and they will not be wronged. (Ⅲ)
- The day that every soul shall come disputing in its own behalf; and every soul shall be paid in full for what it wrought, and they shall not be wronged. (Ⅳ)
- One Day every soul will come up struggling for itself, and every soul will be recompensed (fully) for all its actions, and none will be unjustly dealt with. (Ⅵ)
16. 112  
وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا قَرْيَةً كَانَتْ آمِنَةً مُّطْمَئِنَّةً يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ اللَّهِ فَأَذَاقَهَا اللَّهُ لِبَاسَ الْجُوعِ وَالْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ
- Wadaraba Allahu mathalan qaryatan kanat aminatan mutmainnatan yateeha rizquha raghadan min kulli makanin fakafarat bianAAumi Allahi faathaqaha Allahu libasa aljooAAi waalkhawfi bima kanoo yasnaAAoona (Ⅰ)
- Allah coins a similitude (parable): a city which was safe and content, its provision came to it in plenty from every place, and then it denied (was ungrateful for) Allah´s favours, and Allah made it feel the garb of dearth and fear, because of that which the used to do. (Ⅱ)
- Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do. (Ⅲ)
- God has struck a similitude: a city that was secure, at rest, its provision coming to it easefully from every place, then it was unthankful for the blessings of God; so God let it taste the garment of hunger and of fear, for the things that they were working. (Ⅳ)
- Allah sets forth a Parable: a city enjoying security and quiet, abundantly supplied with sustenance from every place: Yet was it ungrateful for the favours of Allah: so Allah made it taste of hunger and terror (in extremes) (closing in on it) like a garment (from every side), because of the (evil) which (its people) wrought. (Ⅵ)
16. 113  
وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ
- Walaqad jaahum rasoolun minhum fakaththaboohu faakhathahumu alAAathabu wahum thalimoona (Ⅰ)
- And there came to them a messenger from amongst themselves, but they called him a liar, so the torment seized them, while yet they were unjust. (Ⅱ)
- And verily there had come unto them a messenger from among them, but they had denied him, and so the torment seized them while they were wrong-doers. (Ⅲ)
- There came indeed to them a Messenger from amongst them, but they cried him lies; so they were seized by the chastisement while they were evildoers. (Ⅳ)
- And there came to them a Messenger from among themselves, but they falsely rejected him; so the Wrath seized them even in the midst of their iniquities. (Ⅵ)
16. 114  
فَكُلُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا وَاشْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ
- Fakuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahu halalan tayyiban waoshkuroo niAAmata Allahi in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona (Ⅰ)
- Eat, then, from what Allah has provided you, things lawful and good, and give thanks for the favours of Allah, if it be Him you serve. (Ⅱ)
- So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah hath provided for you, and thank the bounty of your Lord if it is Him ye serve. (Ⅲ)
- So eat of what God has provided you lawful and good; and be you thankful for the blessing of God, if it be Him that you serve. (Ⅳ)
- So eat of the sustenance which Allah has provided for you, lawful and good; and be grateful for the favours of Allah, if it is He Whom ye serve. (Ⅵ)
16. 115  
إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ ۖ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
- Innama harrama AAalaykumu almaytata waalddama walahma alkhinzeeri wama ohilla lighayri Allahi bihi famani idturra ghayra baghin wala AAadin fainna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun (Ⅰ)
- He has only forbidden you carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that which is devoted to other than Allah; but he who is driven thereto (forced by necessity), neither craving nor transgressing due limits, then verily, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- He hath forbidden for you only carrion and blood and swineflesh and that which hath been immolated in the name of any other than Allah; but he who is driven thereto, neither craving nor transgressing, lo! then Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- These things only He has forbidden you: carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, what has been hallowed to other than God. Yet whoso is constrained, not desiring nor transgressing, God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. (Ⅳ)
- He has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than Allah has been invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Ⅵ)
16. 116  
وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ الْكَذِبَ هَٰذَا حَلَالٌ وَهَٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِّتَفْتَرُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ
- Wala taqooloo lima tasifu alsinatukumu alkathiba hatha halalun wahatha haramun litaftaroo AAala Allahi alkathiba inna allatheena yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba la yuflihoona (Ⅰ)
- And say not of what your own tongues pronounce, the lie "This is lawful, and this is unlawful," inventing against Allah a lie; verily, those who invent against Allah a lie shall not prosper. (Ⅱ)
- And speak not, concerning that which your own tongues qualify (as clean or unclean), the falsehood: "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so that ye invent a lie against Allah. Lo! those who invent a lie against Allah will not succeed. (Ⅲ)
- And do not say, as to what your tongues falsely describe, ´This is lawful; and this is forbidden, so that you may forge against God falsehood; surely those who forge against God falsehood shall not prosper. (Ⅳ)
- But say not - for any false thing that your tongues may put forth,- "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so as to ascribe false things to Allah. For those who ascribe false things to Allah, will never prosper. (Ⅵ)
16. 117  
مَتَاعٌ قَلِيلٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
- MataAAun qaleelun walahum AAathabun aleemun (Ⅰ)
- A brief enjoyment for them - then a grievous woe! (Ⅱ)
- A brief enjoyment (will be theirs); and theirs a painful doom. (Ⅲ)
- A little enjoyment, then for them awaits a painful chastisement. (Ⅳ)
- (In such falsehood) is but a paltry profit; but they will have a most grievous Penalty. (Ⅵ)
16. 118  
وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا مَا قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
- WaAAala allatheena hadoo harramna ma qasasna AAalayka min qablu wama thalamnahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona (Ⅰ)
- For those who are Jews We have forbidden what We have already narrated to you. We wronged them not, but they were wont to wrong themselves. (Ⅱ)
- And unto those who are Jews We have forbidden that which We have already related unto thee. And We wronged them not, but they were wont to wrong themselves. (Ⅲ)
- And those of Jewry -- We have forbidden them what We related to thee before, and We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves. (Ⅳ)
- To the Jews We prohibited such things as We have mentioned to thee before: We did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves. (Ⅵ)
16. 119  
ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا السُّوءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابُوا مِن بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِن بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
- Thumma inna rabbaka lillatheena AAamiloo alssooa bijahalatin thumma taboo min baAAdi thalika waaslahoo inna rabbaka min baAAdiha laghafoorun raheemun (Ⅰ)
- Then, verily, your Lord - for those who do evil in ignorance and afterwards repent and amend - verily, your Lord is indeed Forgiving and Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- Then lo! thy Lord - for those who do evil in ignorance and afterward repent and amend - lo! (for them) thy Lord is afterward indeed Forgiving, Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Then, surely thy Lord -- unto those who did evil in ignorance, then repented after that and put things right -- surely thy Lord thereafter is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. (Ⅳ)
- But verily thy Lord,- to those who do wrong in ignorance, but who thereafter repent and make amends,- thy Lord, after all this, is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Ⅵ)
16. 120  
إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ كَانَ أُمَّةً قَانِتًا لِّلَّهِ حَنِيفًا وَلَمْ يَكُ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
- Inna ibraheema kana ommatan qanitan lillahi haneefan walam yaku mina almushrikeena (Ⅰ)
- Verily, Abraham was indeed, a model, devoutly obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters: (Ⅱ)
- Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters; (Ⅲ)
- Surely, Abraham was a nation obedient unto God, a man of pure faith and no idolater, (Ⅳ)
- Abraham was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to Allah, (and) true in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah: (Ⅵ)
16. 121  
شَاكِرًا لِّأَنْعُمِهِ ۚ اجْتَبَاهُ وَهَدَاهُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
- Shakiran lianAAumihi ijtabahu wahadahu ila siratin mustaqeemin (Ⅰ)
- Thankful for His favours; He chose him and He guided him unto the Straight Way. (Ⅱ)
- Thankful for His bounties; He chose him and He guided him unto a straight path. (Ⅲ)
- showing thankfulness for His blessings; He chose him, and He guided him to a straight path. (Ⅳ)
- He showed his gratitude for the favours of Allah, who chose him, and guided him to a Straight Way. (Ⅵ)
16. 122  
وَآتَيْنَاهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً ۖ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
- Waataynahu fee alddunya hasanatan wainnahu fee alakhirati lamina alssaliheena (Ⅰ)
- And We gave him in this world good things; and, verily, in the Hereafter he is among the righteous. (Ⅱ)
- And We gave him good in the world, and in the Hereafter he is among the righteous. (Ⅲ)
- And We gave him in this world good, and in the world to come he shall be among the righteous. (Ⅳ)
- And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous. (Ⅵ)
16. 123  
ثُمَّ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ أَنِ اتَّبِعْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
- Thumma awhayna ilayka ani ittabiAA millata ibraheema haneefan wama kana mina almushrikeena (Ⅰ)
- Then We inspired you (Muhammad) saying, "Follow the religion of Abraham, as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolaters." (Ⅱ)
- And afterward We inspired thee (Muhammad, saying): Follow the religion of Abraham, as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolaters. (Ⅲ)
- Then We revealed to thee: ´Follow thou the creed of Abraham, a man of pure faith and no idolater.´ (Ⅳ)
- So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah." (Ⅵ)
16. 124  
إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ السَّبْتُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ ۚ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
- Innama juAAila alssabtu AAala allatheena ikhtalafoo feehi wainna rabbaka layahkumu baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona (Ⅰ)
- The Sabbath was only made (strict) for those who dispute thereon; but, verily, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment concerning that whereon they do dispute. (Ⅱ)
- The Sabbath was appointed only for those who differed concerning it, and lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ. (Ⅲ)
- The Sabbath was only appointed for those who were at variance thereon; surely thy Lord will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection, touching their differences. (Ⅳ)
- The Sabbath was only made (strict) for those who disagreed (as to its observance); But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, as to their differences. (Ⅵ)
16. 125  
ادْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ ۖ وَجَادِلْهُم بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ
- OdAAu ila sabeeli rabbika bialhikmati waalmawAAithati alhasanati wajadilhum biallatee hiya ahsanu inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu biman dalla AAan sabeelihi wahuwa aAAlamu bialmuhtadeena (Ⅰ)
- Call unto the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and reason with them in the best (kindest, most gracious, elegant, persuasive) way; verily, your Lord He knows best who has erred from His way, and He is best aware of those who receive guidance. (Ⅱ)
- Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright. (Ⅲ)
- Call thou to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and good admonition, and dispute with them in the better way. Surely thy Lord knows very well those who have gone astray from His way, and He knows very well those who are guided. (Ⅳ)
- Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. (Ⅵ)
16. 126  
وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُم بِهِ ۖ وَلَئِن صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لِّلصَّابِرِينَ
- Wain AAaqabtum faAAaqiboo bimithli ma AAooqibtum bihi walain sabartum lahuwa khayrun lilssabireena (Ⅰ)
- But if you punish (or catch them out), punish (or catch them out) only with the like of that with which you were afflicted; but if you endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient. (Ⅱ)
- If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted. But if ye endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient. (Ⅲ)
- And if you chastise, chastise even as you have been chastised; and yet assuredly if you are patient, better it is for those patient. (Ⅳ)
- And if ye do catch them out, catch them out no worse than they catch you out: But if ye show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient. (Ⅵ)
16. 127  
وَاصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ۚ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُ فِي ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ
- Waisbir wama sabruka illa biAllahi wala tahzan AAalayhim wala taku fee dayqin mimma yamkuroona (Ⅰ)
- Endure you patiently. Your endurance is only by the help of Allah. Grieve not about them; and be not distressed because of that which they devise. (Ⅱ)
- Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise. (Ⅲ)
- And be patient; yet is thy patience only with the help of God. And do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. (Ⅳ)
- And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots. (Ⅵ)
16. 128  
إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّالَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ
- Inna Allaha maAAa allatheena ittaqaw waallatheena hum muhsinoona (Ⅰ)
- Verily, Allah is with those who fear (do their duty to) Him, and with those who do good. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! Allah is with those who keep their duty unto Him and those who are doers of good. (Ⅲ)
- Surely God is with those who are godfearing, and those who are good-doers. (Ⅳ)
- For Allah is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good. (Ⅵ)
