19. 50  
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّا
- Wawahabna lahum min rahmatina wajaAAalna lahum lisana sidqin AAaliyyan (Ⅰ)
- And We bestowed on them of Our Mercy, and We granted them lofty honour on (or from) the tongue of truth. (Ⅱ)
- And we gave them of Our mercy, and assigned to them a high and true renown. (Ⅲ)
- and We gave them of Our mercy, and We appointed unto them a tongue of truthfulness, sublime. (Ⅳ)
- And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth. (Ⅵ)
19. 51  
وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مُوسَىٰ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا
- Waothkur fee alkitabi moosa innahu kana mukhlasan wakana rasoolan nabiyyan (Ⅰ)
- And mention Moses in the Book; verily, he was chosen, and was a Messenger, a prophet. (Ⅱ)
- And make mention in the Scripture of Moses. Lo! he was chosen, and he was a messenger (of Allah), a prophet. (Ⅲ)
- And mention in the Book Moses; he was devoted, and he was a Messenger, a Prophet. (Ⅳ)
- Also mention in the Book (the story of) Moses: for he was specially chosen, and he was a messenger (and) a prophet. (Ⅵ)
19. 52  
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ مِن جَانِبِ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَاهُ نَجِيًّا
- Wanadaynahu min janibi alttoori alaymani waqarrabnahu najiyyan (Ⅰ)
- We called him from the right side of the Mount (Sinai); and We made him draw nigh unto Us to commune with him, (Ⅱ)
- We called him from the right slope of the Mount, and brought him nigh in communion. (Ⅲ)
- We called to him from the right side Of the Mount, and We brought him near in communion. (Ⅳ)
- And we called him from the right side of Mount (Sinai), and made him draw near to Us, for mystic (converse). (Ⅵ)
19. 53  
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَا أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ نَبِيًّا
- Wawahabna lahu min rahmatina akhahu haroona nabiyyan (Ⅰ)
- And We granted him out of Our Mercy, his brother Aaron also a prophet. (Ⅱ)
- And We bestowed upon him of Our mercy his brother Aaron, a prophet (likewise). (Ⅲ)
- And We gave him his brother Aaron, of Our mercy, a Prophet. (Ⅳ)
- And, out of Our Mercy, We gave him his brother Aaron, (also) a prophet. (Ⅵ)
19. 54  
وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا
- Waothkur fee alkitabi ismaAAeela innahu kana sadiqa alwaAAdi wakana rasoolan nabiyyan (Ⅰ)
- And mention Ishmael in the Book; verily, he was true to his promise, and was a messenger and a prophet. (Ⅱ)
- And make mention in the Scripture of Ishmael. Lo! he was a keeper of his promise, and he was a messenger (of Allah), a prophet. (Ⅲ)
- And mention in the Book Ishmael; he was true to his promise, and he was a Messenger, a Prophet. (Ⅳ)
- Also mention in the Book (the story of) Isma´il: He was (strictly) true to what he promised, and he was a messenger (and) a prophet. (Ⅵ)
19. 55  
وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِ مَرْضِيًّا
- Wakana yamuru ahlahu bialssalati waalzzakati wakana AAinda rabbihi mardiyyan (Ⅰ)
- He used to enjoin on his people prayers and charity, and was most acceptable (sacrifice) in the sight of his Lord. (Ⅱ)
- He enjoined upon his people worship and almsgiving, and was acceptable in the sight of his Lord. (Ⅲ)
- He bade his people to pray and to give the alms, and he was pleasing to his Lord. (Ⅳ)
- He used to enjoin on his people Prayer and Charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his Lord. (Ⅵ)
19. 56  
وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِدْرِيسَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا
- Waothkur fee alkitabi idreesa innahu kana siddeeqan nabiyyan (Ⅰ)
- And mention, in the Book, Idris (Enoch?); verily, he was a saint and a prophet; (Ⅱ)
- And make mention in the Scripture of Idris. Lo! he was a saint, a prophet; (Ⅲ)
- And mention in the Book Idris; he was a true man, a Prophet. (Ⅳ)
- Also mention in the Book the case of Idris: He was a man of truth (and sincerity), (and) a prophet: (Ⅵ)
19. 57  
وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا
- WarafaAAnahu makanan AAaliyyan (Ⅰ)
- And We raised him to a lofty place. (Ⅱ)
- And We raised him to high station. (Ⅲ)
- We raised him up to a high place. (Ⅳ)
- And We raised him to a lofty station. (Ⅵ)
19. 58  
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ آدَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَاجْتَبَيْنَا ۚ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ خَرُّوا سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا ۩
- Olaika allatheena anAAama Allahu AAalayhim mina alnnabiyyeena min thurriyyati adama wamimman hamalna maAAa noohin wamin thurriyyati ibraheema waisraeela wamimman hadayna waijtabayna itha tutla AAalayhim ayatu alrrahmani kharroo sujjadan wabukiyyan (Ⅰ)
- These are those to whom Allah has been gracious, of the prophets of the seed of Adam, and of those whom We carried with Noah, and of the seed of Abraham and Israel, and of those We guided and elected. When the revelations of the Beneficent were recited unto them, they fall down adoring and weeping. (Ⅱ)
- These are they unto whom Allah showed favour from among the prophets, of the seed of Adam and of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Noah, and of the seed of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom We guided and chose. When the revelations of the Beneficent were recited unto them, they fell down, adoring and weeping. (Ⅲ)
- These are they whom God has blessed among the Prophets of the seed of Adam, and of those We bore with Noah, and of the seed of Abraham and Israel, and of those We guided and chose. When the signs of the All-merciful were recited to them, they fell down prostrate, weeping. (Ⅳ)
- Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah did bestow His Grace,- of the posterity of Adam, and of those who We carried (in the Ark) with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel of those whom We guided and chose. Whenever the Signs of (Allah) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears. (Ⅵ)
19. 59  
۞ فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
- Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun adaAAoo alssalata waittabaAAoo alshshahawati fasawfa yalqawna ghayyan (Ⅰ)
- But there succeeded after them a later generation who have ruined worship and have followed lusts (prejudices, fantasies, greed, self-interest, superstition), but they shall at length face deception (or failure, destruction), (Ⅱ)
- Now there hath succeeded them a later generation whom have ruined worship and have followed lusts. But they will meet deception. (Ⅲ)
- Then there succeeded after them a succession who wasted the prayer, and followed lusts; so they shall encounter error (Ⅳ)
- But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction,- (Ⅵ)
19. 60  
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا
- Illa man taba waamana waAAamila salihan faolaika yadkhuloona aljannata wala yuthlamoona shayan (Ⅰ)
- Save such as repent and believe and act right; for these shall enter the Garden and shall not be wronged in aught, (Ⅱ)
- Save him who shall repent and believe and do right. Such will enter the Garden, and they will not be wronged in aught - (Ⅲ)
- save him who repents, and believes, and does a righteous deed; those -- they shall enter Paradise, and they shall not be wronged anything; (Ⅳ)
- Except those who repent and believe, and work righteousness: for these will enter the Garden and will not be wronged in the least,- (Ⅵ)
19. 61  
جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ عِبَادَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَأْتِيًّا
- Jannati AAadnin allatee waAAada alrrahmanu AAibadahu bialghaybi innahu kana waAAduhu matiyyan (Ⅰ)
- Gardens of Eden, which the Beneficent has promised to His servants in the Unseen; verily, His promise ever comes to pass! (Ⅱ)
- Gardens of Eden, which the Beneficent hath promised to His slaves in the unseen. Lo! His promise is ever sure of fulfilment - (Ⅲ)
- Gardens of Eden that the All-merciful promised His servants in the Unseen; His promise is ever performed. (Ⅳ)
- Gardens of Eternity, those which (Allah) Most Gracious has promised to His servants in the Unseen: for His promise must (necessarily) come to pass. (Ⅵ)
19. 62  
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلَّا سَلَامًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا
- La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan illa salaman walahum rizquhum feeha bukratan waAAashiyyan (Ⅰ)
- They shall hear no empty (vain) talk therein, but only Peace; and there they shall have their provision morning and evening; (Ⅱ)
- They hear therein no idle talk, but only Peace; and therein they have food for morn and evening. (Ⅲ)
- There they shall hear no idle talk, but only ´Peace.´ There they shall have their provision at dawn and evening. (Ⅳ)
- They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of Peace: And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening. (Ⅵ)
19. 63  
تِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيًّا
- Tilka aljannatu allatee noorithu min AAibadina man kana taqiyyan (Ⅰ)
- Such is the Garden which We will give for an inheritance to those of our servants who are devout. (Ⅱ)
- Such is the Garden which We cause the devout among Our bondmen to inherit. (Ⅲ)
- That is Paradise which We shall give as an inheritance to those of Our servants who are godfearing. (Ⅳ)
- Such is the Garden which We give as an inheritance to those of Our servants who guard against Evil. (Ⅵ)
19. 64  
وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ ۖ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا
- Wama natanazzalu illa biamri rabbika lahu ma bayna aydeena wama khalfana wama bayna thalika wama kana rabbuka nasiyyan (Ⅰ)
- (The angels say), "We descend not save at the command of your Lord; His is what is before us, and what is behind us, and what is between these; for your Lord is never forgetful - (Ⅱ)
- We (angels) come not down save by commandment of thy Lord. Unto Him belongeth all that is before us and all that is behind us and all that is between those two, and thy Lord was never forgetful - (Ⅲ)
- We come not down, save at the commandment of thy Lord. To Him belongs all that is before us, and all that is behind us, and all between that. (Ⅳ)
- (The angels say:) "We descend not but by command of thy Lord: to Him belongeth what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between: and thy Lord never doth forget,- (Ⅵ)
19. 65  
رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَاعْبُدْهُ وَاصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَادَتِهِ ۚ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُ سَمِيًّا
- Rabbu alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma faoAAbudhu waistabir liAAibadatihi hal taAAlamu lahu samiyyan (Ⅰ)
- "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what is between the two; so serve (worship) Him and persevere in His service. Do you know of any worthy of His Name? (Ⅱ)
- Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them! Therefor, worship thou Him and be thou steadfast in His service. Knowest thou one that can be named along with Him ? (Ⅲ)
- And thy Lord is never forgetful, Lord He of the heavens and earth and all that is between them. So serve Him, and be thou patient in His service; knowest thou any that can be named with His Name? (Ⅳ)
- "Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and of all that is between them; so worship Him, and be constant and patient in His worship: knowest thou of any who is worthy of the same Name as He?" (Ⅵ)
19. 66  
وَيَقُولُ الْإِنسَانُ أَإِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا
- Wayaqoolu alinsanu aitha ma mittu lasawfa okhraju hayyan (Ⅰ)
- Man will say, "What! When I have died shall I then come forth alive?" (Ⅱ)
- And man saith: When I am dead, shall I forsooth be brought forth alive ? (Ⅲ)
- Man says, ´What, when I am dead shall I then be brought forth alive?´ (Ⅳ)
- Man says: "What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" (Ⅵ)
19. 67  
أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ الْإِنسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْئًا
- Awala yathkuru alinsanu anna khalaqnahu min qablu walam yaku shayan (Ⅰ)
- But then does not man remember that We created him before when he was naught? (Ⅱ)
- Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught ? (Ⅲ)
- Will not man remember that We created him aforetime, when he was nothing? (Ⅳ)
- But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? (Ⅵ)
19. 68  
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَالشَّيَاطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا
- Fawarabbika lanahshurannahum waalshshayateena thumma lanuhdirannahum hawla jahannama jithiyyan (Ⅰ)
- And by your Lord! We will, without doubt, gather them together, and the devils (or evil ones) too; then will We surely bring them forth on their knees round about Hell. (Ⅱ)
- And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. (Ⅲ)
- Now, by thy Lord, We shall surely muster them, and the Satans, then We shall parade them about Gehenna hobbling on their knees. (Ⅳ)
- So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; (Ⅵ)
19. 69  
ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى الرَّحْمَٰنِ عِتِيًّا
- Thumma lananziAAanna min kulli sheeAAatin ayyuhum ashaddu AAala alrrahmani AAitiyyan (Ⅰ)
- Then shall We certainly drag, out from every sect, whichever of them has been most obstinately rebellious against the Beneficent. (Ⅱ)
- Then We shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the Beneficent. (Ⅲ)
- Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; (Ⅳ)
- Then shall We certainly drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against (Allah) Most Gracious. (Ⅵ)
19. 70  
ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِالَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيًّا
- Thumma lanahnu aAAlamu biallatheena hum awla biha siliyyan (Ⅰ)
- And surely We are best aware of those who are most deserving to be broiled therein. (Ⅱ)
- And surely We are Best Aware of those most worthy to be burned therein. (Ⅲ)
- then We shall know very well those most deserving to burn there. (Ⅳ)
- And certainly We know best those who are most worthy of being burned therein. (Ⅵ)
19. 71  
وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّا
- Wain minkum illa wariduha kana AAala rabbika hatman maqdiyyan (Ⅰ)
- There is not one of you who will not go down to it (the Fire), that is a fixed Decree of your Lord. (Ⅱ)
- There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord. (Ⅲ)
- Not one of you there is, but he shall go down to it; that for thy Lord is a thing decreed, determined. (Ⅳ)
- Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished. (Ⅵ)
19. 72  
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا
- Thumma nunajjee allatheena ittaqaw wanatharu alththalimeena feeha jithiyyan (Ⅰ)
- Then We will save those who fear Us; but We will leave the evildoers therein on their knees. (Ⅱ)
- Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there. (Ⅲ)
- Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. (Ⅳ)
- But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. (Ⅵ)
19. 73  
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَّقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا
- Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo ayyu alfareeqayni khayrun maqaman waahsanu nadiyyan (Ⅰ)
- And when Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of the two parties (your s or mine) is best placed and in the best company?" (Ⅱ)
- And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army ? (Ⅲ)
- When Our signs are recited to them as clear signs, the unbelievers say to the believers, ´Which of the two parties is better in station, fairer in assembly?´ (Ⅳ)
- When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?" (Ⅵ)
19. 74  
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَاثًا وَرِئْيًا
- Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu athathan wariyan (Ⅰ)
- And how many generations before them have We destroyed who were better off in property and outward appearance? (Ⅱ)
- How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who were more imposing in respect of gear and outward seeming! (Ⅲ)
- And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were fairer in furnishing and outward show! (Ⅳ)
- But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? (Ⅵ)
19. 75  
قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِي الضَّلَالَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ مَدًّا ۚ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا الْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا السَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا
- Qul man kana fee alddalalati falyamdud lahu alrrahmanu maddan hatta itha raaw ma yooAAadoona imma alAAathaba waimma alssaAAata fasayaAAlamoona man huwa sharrun makanan waadAAafu jundan (Ⅰ)
- Say, "Whoever is in error, the Beneficent will extend to him until they see what they are threatened with, whether it be the torment in this world or whether it be the Hour (of Doom in the Hereafter), then they shall know who is worse placed and weakest in forces!" (Ⅱ)
- Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army. (Ⅲ)
- Say: ´Whosoever is in error, let the All-merciful prolong his term for him! Till, when they see that they were threatened, whether the chastisement, or the Hour, then they shall surely know who is worse in place, and who is weaker in hosts.´ (Ⅳ)
- Say: "If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces! (Ⅵ)
19. 76  
وَيَزِيدُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اهْتَدَوْا هُدًى ۗ وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّا
- Wayazeedu Allahu allatheena ihtadaw hudan waalbaqiyatu alssalihatu khayrun AAinda rabbika thawaban wakhayrun maraddan (Ⅰ)
- And those who seek guidance, Allah will increase their guidance. And enduring good works are best with your Lord for a reward, and best for restoration (or eventual returns). (Ⅱ)
- Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better for resort. (Ⅲ)
- And God shall increase those who were guided in guidance; and the abiding things, the deeds of righteousness, are better with thy Lord in reward, and better in return (Ⅳ)
- "And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return." (Ⅵ)
19. 77  
أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا
- Afaraayta allathee kafara biayatina waqala laootayanna malan wawaladan (Ⅰ)
- Have you seen him who disbelieves in Our signs, and says, "I shall surely be given wealth and children?" (Ⅱ)
- Hast thou seen him who disbelieveth in Our revelations and saith: Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children ? (Ⅲ)
- Hast thou seen him who disbelieves in Our signs and says, ´Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children´? (Ⅳ)
- Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" (Ⅵ)
19. 78  
أَطَّلَعَ الْغَيْبَ أَمِ اتَّخَذَ عِندَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا
- AttalaAAa alghayba ami ittakhatha AAinda alrrahmani AAahdan (Ⅰ)
- Has he become acquainted with the Unseen, or has he made a pact with the Beneficent? (Ⅱ)
- Hath he perused the Unseen, or hath he made a pact with the Beneficent ? (Ⅲ)
- What, has he observed the Unseen, or taken a covenant with the All-merciful? (Ⅳ)
- Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious? (Ⅵ)
19. 79  
كَلَّا ۚ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّا
- Kalla sanaktubu ma yaqoolu wanamuddu lahu mina alAAathabi maddan (Ⅰ)
- Not so! We will write down what he says, and We will extend for him a span of torment, (Ⅱ)
- Nay, but We shall record that which he saith and prolong for him a span of torment. (Ⅲ)
- No, indeed! We shall assuredly write down all that he says, and We shall prolong for him the chastisement; (Ⅳ)
- Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment. (Ⅵ)
19. 80  
وَنَرِثُهُ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا
- Wanarithuhu ma yaqoolu wayateena fardan (Ⅰ)
- And We will make him inherit that whereof he spoke, and he shall come to Us alone. (Ⅱ)
- And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he will come unto Us, alone (without his wealth and children). (Ⅲ)
- and We shall inherit from him that he says, and he shall come to Us alone. (Ⅳ)
- To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone. (Ⅵ)
19. 81  
وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا لَهُمْ عِزًّا
- Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahi alihatan liyakoonoo lahum AAizzan (Ⅰ)
- They take other gods besides Allah to be their source of power. (Ⅱ)
- And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. (Ⅲ)
- And they have taken to them other gods apart from God, that they might be for them a might. (Ⅳ)
- And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! (Ⅵ)
19. 82  
كَلَّا ۚ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا
- Kalla sayakfuroona biAAibadatihim wayakoonoona AAalayhim diddan (Ⅰ)
- Not so! They shall deny their worship of them, and shall become their opponents! (Ⅱ)
- Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents unto them. (Ⅲ)
- No, indeed! They shall deny their service, and they shall be against them pitted. (Ⅳ)
- Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. (Ⅵ)
19. 83  
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّا
- Alam tara anna arsalna alshshayateena AAala alkafireena taozzuhum azzan (Ⅰ)
- Do you not see that We have sent the devils against the disbelievers, to confound them with confusion. (Ⅱ)
- Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion ? (Ⅲ)
- Hast thou not seen how We sent the Satans against the unbelievers, to prick them? (Ⅳ)
- Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? (Ⅵ)
19. 84  
فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا
- Fala taAAjal AAalayhim innama naAAuddu lahum AAaddan (Ⅰ)
- So be not you hasty with them. Verily, We do but number them a sum (of days). (Ⅱ)
- So make no haste against them (O Muhammad). We do but number unto them a sum (of days). (Ⅲ)
- So hasten thou not against them; We are only numbering for them a number. (Ⅳ)
- So make no haste against them, for We but count out to them a (limited) number (of days). (Ⅵ)
19. 85  
يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَٰنِ وَفْدًا
- Yawma nahshuru almuttaqeena ila alrrahmani wafdan (Ⅰ)
- On the Day when We will gather the righteous unto the Beneficent, honoured as a goodly company, (Ⅱ)
- On the day when We shall gather the righteous unto the Beneficent, a goodly company. (Ⅲ)
- On the day that We shall muster the godfearing to the All-merciful with pomp (Ⅳ)
- The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours, (Ⅵ)
19. 86  
وَنَسُوقُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا
- Wanasooqu almujrimeena ila jahannama wirdan (Ⅰ)
- We will drive the guilty into hell, like thirsty herds to water. (Ⅱ)
- And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, (Ⅲ)
- and drive the evildoers into Gehenna herding, (Ⅳ)
- And We shall drive the sinners to Hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,- (Ⅵ)
19. 87  
لَّا يَمْلِكُونَ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّخَذَ عِندَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا
- La yamlikoona alshshafaAAata illa mani ittakhatha AAinda alrrahmani AAahdan (Ⅰ)
- They shall have no power of intercession, save him who has taken a covenant with his Lord. (Ⅱ)
- They will have no power of intercession, save him who hath made a covenant with his Lord. (Ⅲ)
- having no power of intercession, save those who have taken with the All-merciful covenant. (Ⅳ)
- None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from (Allah) Most Gracious. (Ⅵ)
19. 88  
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَلَدًا
- Waqaloo ittakhatha alrrahmanu waladan (Ⅰ)
- They say, "The Beneficent has taken to Himself a son." (Ⅱ)
- And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son. (Ⅲ)
- And they say, ´The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a son. (Ⅳ)
- They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" (Ⅵ)
19. 89  
لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْئًا إِدًّا
- Laqad jitum shayan iddan (Ⅰ)
- Assuredly, you have brought a monstrous thing! (Ⅱ)
- Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing (Ⅲ)
- You have indeed advanced something hideous! (Ⅳ)
- Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! (Ⅵ)
19. 90  
تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ الْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا
- Takadu alssamawatu yatafattarna minhu watanshaqqu alardu watakhirru aljibalu haddan (Ⅰ)
- Whereby the heavens are almost torn asunder, and the earth is riven, and the mountains fall in ruin. (Ⅱ)
- Whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins, (Ⅲ)
- The heavens are wellnigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains wellnigh fall down crashing for (Ⅳ)
- At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, (Ⅵ)
19. 91  
أَن دَعَوْا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدًا
- An daAAaw lilrrahmani waladan (Ⅰ)
- That you attribute to the Beneficent a son, (Ⅱ)
- That ye ascribe unto the Beneficent a son, (Ⅲ)
- that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; (Ⅳ)
- That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. (Ⅵ)
19. 92  
وَمَا يَنبَغِي لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا
- Wama yanbaghee lilrrahmani an yattakhitha waladan (Ⅰ)
- When it is not becoming to the majesty of the Beneficent that he take to Himself a son. (Ⅱ)
- When it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son. (Ⅲ)
- and it behoves not the All-merciful to take a son. (Ⅳ)
- For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. (Ⅵ)
19. 93  
إِن كُلُّ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِلَّا آتِي الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَبْدًا
- In kullu man fee alssamawati waalardi illa atee alrrahmani AAabdan (Ⅰ)
- There is none in the heavens or the earth but comes to the Beneficent as a servant. (Ⅱ)
- There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave. (Ⅲ)
- None is there in the heavens and earth but he comes to the All-merciful as a servant; (Ⅳ)
- Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant. (Ⅵ)
19. 94  
لَّقَدْ أَحْصَاهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّا
- Laqad ahsahum waAAaddahum AAaddan (Ⅰ)
- Verily, He knows them and numbers them exactly. (Ⅱ)
- Verily He knoweth them and numbereth them with (right) numbering. (Ⅲ)
- He has indeed counted them, and He has numbered them exactly. (Ⅳ)
- He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly. (Ⅵ)
19. 95  
وَكُلُّهُمْ آتِيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَرْدًا
- Wakulluhum ateehi yawma alqiyamati fardan (Ⅰ)
- And each one of them come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone (Ⅱ)
- And each one of them will come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. (Ⅲ)
- Every one of them shall come to Him upon the Day of Resurrection, all alone. (Ⅳ)
- And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment. (Ⅵ)
19. 96  
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وُدًّا
- Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sayajAAalu lahumu alrrahmanu wuddan (Ⅰ)
- Verily, those who believe and act aright, on them the Beneficent bestows love. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! those who believe and do good works, the Beneficent will appoint for them love. (Ⅲ)
- Surely those who believe and do deeds of righteousness -- unto them the All-merciful shall assign love. (Ⅳ)
- On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will (Allah) Most Gracious bestow love. (Ⅵ)
19. 97  
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِ قَوْمًا لُّدًّا
- Fainnama yassarnahu bilisanika litubashshira bihi almuttaqeena watunthira bihi qawman luddan (Ⅰ)
- We have made the Scripture easy on your tongue, only that you may thereby give glad tidings unto those who ward of evil, and warn thereby a contentious people. (Ⅱ)
- And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk. (Ⅲ)
- Now We have made it easy by thy tongue that thou mayest bear good tidings thereby to the godfearing, and warn a people stubborn. (Ⅳ)
- So have We made the (Qur´an) easy in thine own tongue, that with it thou mayest give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention. (Ⅵ)
19. 98  
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًا
- Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hal tuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasmaAAu lahum rikzan (Ⅰ)
- How many a generation before them have We destroyed? Can you find any one of them, or hear a whisper of them? (Ⅱ)
- And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound ? (Ⅲ)
- And how many a generation We destroyed before them! Dost thou perceive so much as one of them, or hear of them a whisper? (Ⅳ)
- But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them? (Ⅵ)
