26. 100  
Now we have no intercessors
- Fama lana min shafiAAeena (Ⅰ)
- "´But now we have no intercessors (Ⅱ)
- so now we have no intercessors, (Ⅲ)
- فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَافِعِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "´Now, then, we have none to intercede (for us), (Ⅵ)
26. 101  
Nor any loving friend.
- Wala sadeeqin hameemin (Ⅰ)
- "´And no loving friend. (Ⅱ)
- no loyal friend. (Ⅲ)
- وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ (Ⅳ)
- "´Nor a single friend to feel (for us). (Ⅵ)
26. 102  
Oh, that we had another turn (on earth), that we might be of the believers!
- Falaw anna lana karratan fanakoona mina almumineena (Ⅰ)
- "´Oh, that we had another turn on earth, that we might be of the believers.´" (Ⅱ)
- O that we might return again, and be among the believers!´ (Ⅲ)
- فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "´Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe!´" (Ⅵ)
26. 103  
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers!
- Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena (Ⅰ)
- Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers! (Ⅱ)
- Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ⅲ)
- إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ (Ⅳ)
- Verily in this is a Sign but most of them do not believe. (Ⅵ)
26. 104  
And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful.
- Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu (Ⅰ)
- And, verily, your Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. (Ⅲ)
- وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ (Ⅳ)
- And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. (Ⅵ)
26. 105  
Noah's folk denied the messengers (of Allah),
- Kaththabat qawmu noohin almursaleena (Ⅰ)
- The people of Noah denied the messengers. (Ⅱ)
- The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys (Ⅲ)
- كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ (Ⅳ)
- The people of Noah rejected the messengers. (Ⅵ)
26. 106  
When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil) ?
- Ith qala lahum akhoohum noohun ala tattaqoona (Ⅰ)
- When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear (Allah and avoid evil)? (Ⅱ)
- when their brother Noah said to them, ´Will you not be godfearing? (Ⅲ)
- إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (Ⅳ)
- Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? (Ⅵ)
26. 107  
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you,
- Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun (Ⅰ)
- "Verily, I am a faithful messenger to you; (Ⅱ)
- I am for you a faithful Messenger, (Ⅲ)
- إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ (Ⅳ)
- "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: (Ⅵ)
26. 108  
So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me.
- Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni (Ⅰ)
- "So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. (Ⅱ)
- so serve you God, and obey you me. (Ⅲ)
- فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ (Ⅳ)
- "So fear Allah, and obey me. (Ⅵ)
26. 109  
And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds.
- Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- "I ask you for it no wages; my wage is only the concern of the Lord of the Worlds. (Ⅱ)
- I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; (Ⅲ)
- وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: (Ⅵ)
26. 110  
So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me.
- Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni (Ⅰ)
- "So fear Allah and obey me." (Ⅱ)
- so fear you God, and obey you me.´ (Ⅲ)
- فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ (Ⅳ)
- "So fear Allah, and obey me." (Ⅵ)
26. 111  
They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee ?
- Qaloo anuminu laka waittabaAAaka alarthaloona (Ⅰ)
- They said, "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest follow you?” (Ⅱ)
- They said, ´Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?´ (Ⅲ)
- ۞ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ (Ⅳ)
- They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" (Ⅵ)
26. 112  
He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past) ?
- Qala wama AAilmee bima kanoo yaAAmaloona (Ⅰ)
- He said, "What knowledge have I of what they were doing; (Ⅱ)
- He said, ´What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? (Ⅲ)
- قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ (Ⅳ)
- He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? (Ⅵ)
26. 113  
Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew;
- In hisabuhum illa AAala rabbee law tashAAuroona (Ⅰ)
- "Their account is only with my Lord, if you but understood. (Ⅱ)
- Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. (Ⅲ)
- إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ (Ⅳ)
- "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. (Ⅵ)
26. 114  
And I am not (here) to repulse believers.
- Wama ana bitaridi almumineena (Ⅰ)
- "And I am not here to drive away the believers, (Ⅱ)
- I would not drive away the believers; (Ⅲ)
- وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "I am not one to drive away those who believe. (Ⅵ)
26. 115  
I am only a plain warner.
- In ana illa natheerun mubeenun (Ⅰ)
- "I am only a plain Warner." (Ⅱ)
- ´I am naught but a plain warner.´ (Ⅲ)
- إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ (Ⅳ)
- "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." (Ⅵ)
26. 116  
They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death).
- Qaloo lain lam tantahi ya noohu latakoonanna mina almarjoomeena (Ⅰ)
- They said, "Verily, if you desist not, O Noah! you shall surely be of those who are stoned!" (Ⅱ)
- They said, ´If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.´ (Ⅲ)
- قَالُوا لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ (Ⅳ)
- They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." (Ⅵ)
26. 117  
He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me.
- Qala rabbi inna qawmee kaththabooni (Ⅰ)
- Said he, "My Lord! Verily, my own people reject me. (Ⅱ)
- He said, ´My Lord, my people have cried me lies, (Ⅲ)
- قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ (Ⅳ)
- He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. (Ⅵ)
26. 118  
Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me.
- Faiftah baynee wabaynahum fathan wanajjinee waman maAAiya mina almumineena (Ⅰ)
- "Judge you between us openly, and deliver me and those of the believers who are with me." (Ⅱ)
- so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. (Ⅲ)
- فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن مَّعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." (Ⅵ)
26. 119  
And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.
- Faanjaynahu waman maAAahu fee alfulki almashhooni (Ⅰ)
- So We saved him and those with him in the laden ark, (Ⅱ)
- So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, (Ⅲ)
- فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ (Ⅳ)
- So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). (Ⅵ)
26. 120  
Then afterward We drowned the others.
- Thumma aghraqna baAAdu albaqeena (Ⅰ)
- Then We drowned the rest; (Ⅱ)
- then afterwards We drowned the rest. (Ⅲ)
- ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاقِينَ (Ⅳ)
- Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. (Ⅵ)
26. 121  
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers.
- Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena (Ⅰ)
- Verily, in this indeed is a sign, yet most of them are not believers; (Ⅱ)
- Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ⅲ)
- إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ (Ⅳ)
- Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. (Ⅵ)
26. 122  
And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful.
- Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu (Ⅰ)
- And, verily, your Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. (Ⅲ)
- وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ (Ⅳ)
- And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. (Ⅵ)
26. 123  
(The tribe of) A'ad denied the messengers (of Allah).
- Kaththabat AAadun almursaleena (Ⅰ)
- And (the people of) A´ad denied the messengers; (Ⅱ)
- Ad cried lies to the Envoys (Ⅲ)
- كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ الْمُرْسَلِينَ (Ⅳ)
- The ´Ad (people) rejected the messengers. (Ⅵ)
26. 124  
When their brother Hud said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil) ?
- Ith qala lahum akhoohum hoodun ala tattaqoona (Ⅰ)
- When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear? (Ⅱ)
- when their brother Hood said to them, ´Will you not be godfearing? (Ⅲ)
- إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (Ⅳ)
- Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? (Ⅵ)
26. 125  
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you,
- Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun (Ⅰ)
- "Verily, I am to you a faithful messenger; (Ⅱ)
- I am for you a faithful Messenger, (Ⅲ)
- إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ (Ⅳ)
- "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: (Ⅵ)
26. 126

26. 127

26. 128  
Build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight ?
- Atabnoona bikulli reeAAin ayatan taAAbathoona (Ⅰ)
- "Do you build on every height a monument of vain delight? (Ⅱ)
- What, do you build on every prominence a sign, sporting, (Ⅲ)
- أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُونَ (Ⅳ)
- "Do ye build a landmark on every high place to amuse yourselves? (Ⅵ)
26. 129  
And seek ye out strongholds, that haply ye may last for ever ?
- Watattakhithoona masaniAAa laAAallakum takhludoona (Ⅰ)
- "And build you fine strong buildings that per chance (or possibly) you may be immortal? (Ⅱ)
- and do you take to you castles, haply to dwell forever? (Ⅲ)
- وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ (Ⅳ)
- "And do ye get for yourselves fine buildings in the hope of living therein (for ever)? (Ⅵ)
26. 130  
And if ye seize by force, seize ye as tyrants ?
- Waitha batashtum batashtum jabbareena (Ⅰ)
- "And when you seize by force, assault you like tyrants? (Ⅱ)
- When you assault, you assault like tyrants! (Ⅲ)
- وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "And when ye exert your strong hand, do ye do it like men of absolute power? (Ⅵ)
26. 131  
Rather keep your duty to Allah, and obey me.
- Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni (Ⅰ)
- "Rather fear Allah and obey me; (Ⅱ)
- So fear you God, and obey you me; (Ⅲ)
- فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ (Ⅳ)
- "Now fear Allah, and obey me. (Ⅵ)
26. 132  
Keep your duty toward Him Who hath aided you with (the good things) that ye know,
- Waittaqoo allathee amaddakum bima taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- And keep your duty to Him who has bestowed on you freely all that you know. (Ⅱ)
- and fear Him who has succoured you with what you know, (Ⅲ)
- وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ (Ⅳ)
- "Yea, fear Him Who has bestowed on you freely all that ye know. (Ⅵ)
26. 133  
Hath aided you with cattle and sons.
- Amaddakum bianAAamin wabaneena (Ⅰ)
- And has aided you with cattle and sons (Ⅱ)
- succoured you with flocks and sons, (Ⅲ)
- أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَامٍ وَبَنِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "Freely has He bestowed on you cattle and sons,- (Ⅵ)
26. 134  
And gardens and watersprings.
- Wajannatin waAAuyoonin (Ⅰ)
- And gardens and springs. (Ⅱ)
- gardens and fountains. (Ⅲ)
- وَجَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ (Ⅳ)
- "And Gardens and Springs. (Ⅵ)
26. 135  
Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an awful day.
- Innee akhafu AAalaykum AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin (Ⅰ)
- Verily, I fear for you the retribution of an awful day!" (Ⅱ)
- ´Indeed, I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.´ (Ⅲ)
- إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ (Ⅳ)
- "Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Great Day." (Ⅵ)
26. 136  
They said: It is all one to us whether thou preachest or art not of those who preach;
- Qaloo sawaon AAalayna awaAAathta am lam takun mina alwaAAitheena (Ⅰ)
- They said, "It is the same to us if you admonish or are not of those who admonish; (Ⅱ)
- They said, ´Alike it is to us, whether thou admonishest, or art not one of the admonishers; (Ⅲ)
- قَالُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ الْوَاعِظِينَ (Ⅳ)
- They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers! (Ⅵ)
26. 137  
This is but a fable of the men of old,
- In hatha illa khuluqu alawwaleena (Ⅰ)
- "This is nothing but the fable of men of old, (Ⅱ)
- this is nothing but the habit of the ancients, (Ⅲ)
- إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا خُلُقُ الْأَوَّلِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "This is no other than a customary device of the ancients, (Ⅵ)
26. 138  
And we shall not be doomed.
- Wama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena (Ⅰ)
- "For we are not the ones to be doomed (or tormented)." (Ⅱ)
- and we shall not be chastised.´ (Ⅲ)
- وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "And we are not the ones to receive Pains and Penalties!" (Ⅵ)
26. 139  
And they denied him; therefor We destroyed them. Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers.
- Fakaththaboohu faahlaknahum inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena (Ⅰ)
- And they denied him; therefore, We destroyed them. Verily, in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers. (Ⅱ)
- So they cried him lies; then We destroyed them. Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ⅲ)
- فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ (Ⅳ)
- So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. (Ⅵ)
26. 140  
And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful.

- And, verily, your Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (Ⅱ)

(The tribe of) Thamud denied the messengers (of Allah)
- Kaththabat thamoodu almursaleena (Ⅰ)
- (The tribe of) Thamud denied the messengers; (Ⅱ)
- Thamood cried lies to the Envoys (Ⅲ)
- كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ (Ⅳ)
- The Thamud (people) rejected the messengers. (Ⅵ)
26. 142  
When their brother Salih said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil) ?
- Ith qala lahum akhoohum salihun ala tattaqoona (Ⅰ)
- When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear? (Ⅱ)
- when their brother Salih said to them, ´Will you not be godfearing? (Ⅲ)
- إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (Ⅳ)
- Behold, their brother Salih said to them: "Will you not fear (Allah)? (Ⅵ)
26. 143  
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you,
- Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun (Ⅰ)
- "Verily, I am to you a faithful messenger; (Ⅱ)
- I am for you a faithful Messenger, (Ⅲ)
- إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ (Ⅳ)
- "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. (Ⅵ)
26. 144

26. 145

26. 146  
Will ye be left secure in that which is here before us,
- Atutrakoona fee ma hahuna amineena (Ⅰ)
- "Shall you be left here secure in that which is before us (Ⅱ)
- Will you be left secure in this here, (Ⅲ)
- أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ (Ⅳ)
- "Will ye be left secure, in (the enjoyment of) all that ye have here?- (Ⅵ)
26. 147  
In gardens and watersprings.
- Fee jannatin waAAuyoonin (Ⅰ)
- "In gardens and springs, (Ⅱ)
- among gardens and fountains, (Ⅲ)
- فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ (Ⅳ)
- "Gardens and Springs, (Ⅵ)
26. 148  
And tilled fields and heavy-sheathed palm-trees,
- WazurooAAin wanakhlin talAAuha hadeemun (Ⅰ)
- "And tilled fields and heavily sheathed palms (Ⅱ)
- sown fields, and palms with slender spathes? (Ⅲ)
- وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ (Ⅳ)
- "And corn-fields and date-palms with spathes near breaking (with the weight of fruit)? (Ⅵ)
26. 149  
Though ye hew out dwellings in the mountain, being skilful ?
- Watanhitoona mina aljibali buyootan fariheena (Ⅰ)
- "Though you hew out dwellings in the mountain skillfully? (Ⅱ)
