1 ׃20 וישמע פשחור בן אמר הכהן והוא פקיד נגיד בבית יהוה את ירמיהו נבא את הדברים האלה
- Paschhur, fils d'Immer, sacrificateur et inspecteur en chef dans la maison de l'Éternel, entendit Jérémie qui prophétisait ces choses. (Ⅱ) - Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἤκουσεν Πασχωρ υἱὸς Εμμηρ ὁ ἱερεύς καὶ οὑ̃τος ἠ̃ν καθεσταμένος ἡγούμενος οἴκου κυρίου του̃ Ιερεμιου προφητεύοντος τοὺς λόγους τούτους (Ⅳ) - Et audivit Phassur filius Emmer, sacerdos, qui constitutus erat princeps in domo Domini, Jeremiam prophetantem sermones istos. (Ⅴ)

2 ׃20 ויכה פשחור את ירמיהו הנביא ויתן אתו על המהפכת אשר בשער בנימן העליון אשר בבית יהוה
- Et Paschhur frappa Jérémie, le prophète, et le mit dans la prison qui était à la porte supérieure de Benjamin, dans la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐνέβαλεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸν καταρράκτην ὃς ἠ̃ν ἐν πύλη̨ οἴκου ἀποτεταγμένου του̃ ὑπερώ̨ου ὃς ἠ̃ν ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου (Ⅳ) - Et percussit Phassur Jeremiam prophetam, et misit eum in nervum quod erat in porta Benjamin superiori, in domo Domini. (Ⅴ)

3 ׃20 ויהי ממחרת ויצא פשחור את ירמיהו מן המהפכת ויאמר אליו ירמיהו לא פשחור קרא יהוה שמך כי אם מגור מסביב פ
- Mais le lendemain, Paschhur fit sortir Jérémie de prison. Et Jérémie lui dit: Ce n'est pas le nom de Paschhur que l'Éternel te donne, c'est celui de Magor Missabib. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magormissabib. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐξήγαγεν Πασχωρ τὸν Ιερεμιαν ἐκ του̃ καταρράκτου καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ Ιερεμιας οὐχὶ Πασχωρ ἐκάλεσεν κύριος τὸ ὄνομά σου ἀλλ' ἢ μέτοικον (Ⅳ) - Cumque illuxisset in crastinum, eduxit Phassur Jeremiam de nervo, et dixit ad eum Jeremias : Non Phassur vocavit Dominus nomen tuum, sed Pavorem undique. (Ⅴ)

4 ׃20 כי כה אמר יהוה הנני נתנך[c] למגור לך ולכל אהביך ונפלו בחרב איביהם ועיניך ראות ואת כל יהודה אתן ביד מלך בבל והגלם בבלה והכם בחרב
- Car ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, je te livrerai à la terreur, toi et tous tes amis; ils tomberont par l'épée de leurs ennemis, et tes yeux le verront. Je livrerai aussi tout Juda entre les mains du roi de Babylone, qui les emmènera captifs à Babylone et les frappera de l'épée. (Ⅱ) - For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword. (Ⅲ) - διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ δίδωμί σε εἰς μετοικίαν σὺν πα̃σι τοι̃ς φίλοις σου καὶ πεσου̃νται ἐν μαχαίρα̨ ἐχθρω̃ν αὐτω̃ν καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου ὄψονται καὶ σὲ καὶ πάντα Ιουδαν δώσω εἰς χει̃ρας βασιλέως Βαβυλω̃νος καὶ μετοικιου̃σιν αὐτοὺς καὶ κατακόψουσιν αὐτοὺς ἐν μαχαίραις (Ⅳ) - Quia hæc dicit Dominus : [Ecce ego dabo te in pavorem,/ te et omnes amicos tuos :/ et corruent gladio inimicorum suorum,/ et oculi tui videbunt :/ et omnem Judam dabo in manum regis Babylonis,/ et traducet eos in Babylonem,/ et percutiet eos gladio./ (Ⅴ)

5 ׃20 ונתתי את כל חסן העיר הזאת ואת כל יגיעה ואת כל יקרה ואת כל אוצרות מלכי יהודה אתן ביד איביהם ובזזום ולקחום והביאום בבלה
- Je livrerai toutes les richesses de cette ville, tout le produit de son travail, tout ce qu'elle a de précieux, je livrerai tous les trésors des rois de Juda entre les mains de leurs ennemis, qui les pilleront, les enlèveront et les transporteront à Babylone. (Ⅱ) - Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon. (Ⅲ) - καὶ δώσω τὴν πα̃σαν ἰσχὺν τη̃ς πόλεως ταύτης καὶ πάντας τοὺς πόνους αὐτη̃ς καὶ πάντας τοὺς θησαυροὺς του̃ βασιλέως Ιουδα εἰς χει̃ρας ἐχθρω̃ν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἄξουσιν αὐτοὺς εἰς Βαβυλω̃να (Ⅳ) - Et dabo universam substantiam civitatis hujus,/ et omnem laborem ejus, omneque pretium,/ et cunctos thesauros regum Juda/ dabo in manu inimicorum eorum :/ et diripient eos, et tollent,/ et ducent in Babylonem./ (Ⅴ)

6 ׃20 ואתה פשחור וכל ישבי ביתך תלכו בשבי ובבל תבוא ושם תמות ושם תקבר אתה וכל אהביך אשר נבאת להם בשקר ס
- Et toi, Paschhur, et tous ceux qui demeurent dans ta maison, vous irez en captivité; tu iras à Babylone, et là tu mourras, et là tu seras enterré, toi et tous tes amis auxquels tu as prophétisé le mensonge. (Ⅱ) - And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies. (Ⅲ) - καὶ σὺ καὶ πάντες οἱ κατοικου̃ντες ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ σου πορεύσεσθε ἐν αἰχμαλωσία̨ καὶ ἐν Βαβυλω̃νι ἀποθανη̨̃ καὶ ἐκει̃ ταφήση̨ σὺ καὶ πάντες οἱ φίλοι σου οἱ̃ς ἐπροφήτευσας αὐτοι̃ς ψευδη̃ (Ⅳ) - Tu autem, Phassur, et omnes habitatores domus tuæ,/ ibitis in captivitatem :/ et in Babylonem venies,/ et ibi morieris, ibique sepelieris/ tu, et omnes amici tui,/ quibus prophetasti mendacium.]\ (Ⅴ)

7 ׃20 פתיתני יהוה ואפת חזקתני ותוכל הייתי לשחוק כל היום כלה לעג לי
- Tu m'as persuadé, Éternel, et je me suis laissé persuader; Tu m'as saisi, tu m'as vaincu. Et je suis chaque jour un objet de raillerie, Tout le monde se moque de moi. (Ⅱ) - O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. (Ⅲ) - ἠπάτησάς με κύριε καὶ ἠπατήθην ἐκράτησας καὶ ἠδυνάσθης ἐγενόμην εἰς γέλωτα πα̃σαν ἡμέραν διετέλεσα μυκτηριζόμενος (Ⅳ) - Seduxisti me, Domine, et seductus sum :/ fortior me fuisti, et invaluisti :/ factus sum in derisum tota die ;/ omnes subsannant me./ (Ⅴ)

8 ׃20 כי מדי אדבר אזעק חמס ושד אקרא כי היה דבר יהוה לי לחרפה ולקלס כל היום
- Car toutes les fois que je parle, il faut que je crie, Que je crie à la violence et à l'oppression! Et la parole de l'Éternel est pour moi Un sujet d'opprobre et de risée chaque jour. (Ⅱ) - For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily. (Ⅲ) - ὅτι πικρω̨̃ λόγω̨ μου γελάσομαι ἀθεσίαν καὶ ταλαιπωρίαν ἐπικαλέσομαι ὅτι ἐγενήθη λόγος κυρίου εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν ἐμοὶ καὶ εἰς χλευασμὸν πα̃σαν ἡμέραν μου (Ⅳ) - Quia jam olim loquor,/ vociferans iniquitatem, et vastitatem clamito :/ et factus est mihi sermo Domini in opprobrium,/ et in derisum tota die./ (Ⅴ)

9 ׃20 ואמרתי לא אזכרנו ולא אדבר עוד בשמו והיה בלבי כאש בערת עצר בעצמתי ונלאיתי כלכל ולא אוכל
- Si je dis: Je ne ferai plus mention de lui, Je ne parlerai plus en son nom, Il y a dans mon coeur comme un feu dévorant Qui est renfermé dans mes os. Je m'efforce de le contenir, et je ne le puis. (Ⅱ) - Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πα οὐ μὴ ὀνομάσω τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου καὶ οὐ μὴ λαλήσω ἔτι ἐπὶ τω̨̃ ὀνόματι αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς πυ̃ρ καιόμενον φλέγον ἐν τοι̃ς ὀστέοις μου καὶ παρει̃μαι πάντοθεν καὶ οὐ δύναμαι φέρειν (Ⅳ) - Et dixi : Non recordabor ejus,/ neque loquar ultra in nomine illius :/ et factus est in corde meo quasi ignis exæstuans,/ claususque in ossibus meis,/ et defeci, ferre non sustinens./ (Ⅴ)

10 ׃20 כי שמעתי דבת רבים מגור מסביב הגידו ונגידנו כל אנוש שלומי שמרי צלעי אולי יפתה ונוכלה לו ונקחה נקמתנו ממנו
- Car j'apprends les mauvais propos de plusieurs, L'épouvante qui règne à l'entour: Accusez-le, et nous l'accuserons! Tous ceux qui étaient en paix avec moi Observent si je chancelle: Peut-être se laissera-t-il surprendre, Et nous serons maîtres de lui, Nous tirerons vengeance de lui! (Ⅱ) - For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him. (Ⅲ) - ὅτι ἤκουσα ψόγον πολλω̃ν συναθροιζομένων κυκλόθεν ἐπισύστητε καὶ ἐπισυστω̃μεν αὐτω̨̃ πάντες ἄνδρες φίλοι αὐτου̃ τηρήσατε τὴν ἐπίνοιαν αὐτου̃ εἰ ἀπατηθήσεται καὶ δυνησόμεθα αὐτω̨̃ καὶ λημψόμεθα τὴν ἐκδίκησιν ἡμω̃ν ἐξ αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ) - Audivi enim contumelias multorum,/ et terrorem in circuitu :/ Persequimini, et persequamur eum,/ ab omnibus viris qui erant pacifici mei,/ et custodientes latus meum :/ si quomodo decipiatur, et prævaleamus adversus eum,/ et consequamur ultionem ex eo./ (Ⅴ)

11 ׃20 ויהוה אותי כגבור עריץ על כן רדפי יכשלו ולא יכלו בשו מאד כי לא השכילו כלמת עולם לא תשכח
- Mais l'Éternel est avec moi comme un héros puissant; C'est pourquoi mes persécuteurs chancellent et n'auront pas le dessus; Ils seront remplis de confusion pour n'avoir pas réussi: Ce sera une honte éternelle qui ne s'oubliera pas. (Ⅱ) - But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten. (Ⅲ) - καὶ κύριος μετ' ἐμου̃ καθὼς μαχητὴς ἰσχύων διὰ του̃το ἐδίωξαν καὶ νοη̃σαι οὐκ ἠδύναντο ἠ̨σχύνθησαν σφόδρα ὅτι οὐκ ἐνόησαν ἀτιμίας αὐτω̃ν αἳ δι' αἰω̃νος οὐκ ἐπιλησθήσονται (Ⅳ) - Dominus autem mecum est, quasi bellator fortis :/ idcirco qui persequuntur me cadent,/ et infirmi erunt :/ confundentur vehementer,/ quia non intellexerunt opprobrium sempiternum,/ quod numquam delebitur./ (Ⅴ)

12 ׃20 ויהוה צבאות בחן צדיק ראה כליות ולב אראה נקמתך מהם כי אליך גליתי את ריבי ס
- L'Éternel des armées éprouve le juste, Il pénètre les reins et les coeurs. Je verrai ta vengeance s'exercer contre eux, Car c'est à toi que je confie ma cause. (Ⅱ) - But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause. (Ⅲ) - κύριε δοκιμάζων δίκαια συνίων νεφροὺς καὶ καρδίας ἴδοιμι τὴν παρὰ σου̃ ἐκδίκησιν ἐν αὐτοι̃ς ὅτι πρὸς σὲ ἀπεκάλυψα τὰ ἀπολογήματά μου (Ⅳ) - Et tu, Domine exercituum, probator justi,/ qui vides renes et cor,/ videam, quæso, ultionem tuam ex eis :/ tibi enim revelavi causam meam./ (Ⅴ)

13 ׃20 שירו ליהוה הללו את יהוה כי הציל את נפש אביון מיד מרעים ס
- Chantez à l'Éternel, louez l'Éternel! Car il délivre l'âme du malheureux de la main des méchants. (Ⅱ) - Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers. (Ⅲ) - ἄ̨σατε τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ αἰνέσατε αὐτω̨̃ ὅτι ἐξείλατο ψυχὴν πένητος ἐκ χειρὸς πονηρευομένων (Ⅳ) - Cantate Domino,/ laudate Dominum,/ quia liberavit animam pauperis de manu malorum./ (Ⅴ)

14 ׃20 ארור היום אשר ילדתי בו יום אשר ילדתני אמי אל יהי ברוך
- Maudit sois le jour où je suis né! Que le jour où ma mère m'a enfanté Ne soit pas béni! (Ⅱ) - Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed. (Ⅲ) - ἐπικατάρατος ἡ ἡμέρα ἐν ἡ̨̃ ἐτέχθην ἐν αὐτη̨̃ ἡ ἡμέρα ἐν ἡ̨̃ ἔτεκέν με ἡ μήτηρ μου μὴ ἔστω ἐπευκτή (Ⅳ) - Maledicta dies in qua natus sum !/ dies in qua peperit me mater mea/ non sit benedicta !/ (Ⅴ)

15 ׃20 ארור האיש אשר בשר את אבי לאמר ילד לך בן זכר שמח שמחהו
- Maudit soit l'homme qui porta cette nouvelle à mon père: Il t'est né un enfant mâle, Et qui le combla de joie! (Ⅱ) - Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad. (Ⅲ) - ἐπικατάρατος ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ εὐαγγελισάμενος τω̨̃ πατρί μου λέγων ἐτέχθη σοι ἄρσεν εὐφραινόμενος (Ⅳ) - Maledictus vir qui annuntiavit patri meo,/ dicens : Natus est tibi puer masculus,/ et quasi gaudio lætificavit eum !/ (Ⅴ)

16 ׃20 והיה האיש ההוא כערים אשר הפך יהוה ולא נחם ושמע זעקה בבקר ותרועה בעת צהרים
- Que cet homme soit comme les villes Que l'Éternel a détruites sans miséricorde! Qu'il entende des gémissements le matin, Et des cris de guerre à midi! (Ⅱ) - And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide; (Ⅲ) - ἔστω ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκει̃νος ὡς αἱ πόλεις ἃς κατέστρεψεν κύριος ἐν θυμω̨̃ καὶ οὐ μετεμελήθη ἀκουσάτω κραυγη̃ς τὸ πρωὶ καὶ ἀλαλαγμου̃ μεσημβρίας (Ⅳ) - Sit homo ille ut sunt civitates quæ subvertit Dominus,/ et non pœnituit eum :/ audiat clamorem mane,/ et ululatum in tempore meridiano,/ (Ⅴ)

17 ׃20 אשר לא מותתני מרחם ותהי לי אמי קברי ורחמה הרת עולם
- Que ne m'a-t-on fait mourir dans le sein de ma mère! Que ne m'a-t-elle servi de tombeau! Que n'est-elle restée éternellement enceinte! (Ⅱ) - Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me. (Ⅲ) - ὅτι οὐκ ἀπέκτεινέν με ἐν μήτρα̨ μητρὸς καὶ ἐγένετό μοι ἡ μήτηρ μου τάφος μου καὶ ἡ μήτρα συλλήμψεως αἰωνίας (Ⅳ) - qui non me interfecit a vulva,/ ut fieret mihi mater mea sepulchrum,/ et vulva ejus conceptus æternus !/ (Ⅴ)

18 ׃20 למה זה מרחם יצאתי לראות עמל ויגון ויכלו בבשת ימי פ
- Pourquoi suis-je sorti du sein maternel Pour voir la souffrance et la douleur, Et pour consumer mes jours dans la honte? (Ⅱ) - Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame? (Ⅲ) - ἵνα τί του̃το ἐξη̃λθον ἐκ μήτρας του̃ βλέπειν κόπους καὶ πόνους καὶ διετέλεσαν ἐν αἰσχύνη̨ αἱ ἡμέραι μου (Ⅳ) - Quare de vulva egressus sum,/ ut viderem laborem et dolorem,/ et consumerentur in confusione dies mei ?] (Ⅴ)
