2. 1

Væ qui cogitatis inutile,/ et operamini malum in cubilibus vestris !/ In luce matutina faciunt illud,/ quoniam contra Deum est manus eorum./

- Malheur à ceux qui méditent l'iniquité et qui forgent le mal Sur leur couche! Au point du jour ils l'exécutent, Quand ils ont le pouvoir en main. (Ⅱ)

- Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. (Ⅲ)

- ἐγένοντο λογιζόμενοι κόπους καὶ ἐργαζόμενοι κακὰ ἐν ται̃ς κοίταις αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἅμα τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ συνετέλουν αὐτά διότι οὐκ ἠ̃ραν πρὸς τὸν θεὸν τὰς χει̃ρας αὐτω̃ν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃2 הוי חשבי און ופעלי רע על משכבותם באור הבקר יעשוה כי יש לאל ידם ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 2

Et concupierunt agros, et violenter tulerunt :/ et rapuerunt domos,/ et calumniabantur virum, et domum ejus :/ virum, et hæreditatem ejus./

- Ils convoitent des champs, et ils s'en emparent, Des maisons, et ils les enlèvent; Ils portent leur violence sur l'homme et sur sa maison, Sur l'homme et sur son héritage. (Ⅱ)

- And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐπεθύμουν ἀγροὺς καὶ διήρπαζον ὀρφανοὺς καὶ οἴκους κατεδυνάστευον καὶ διήρπαζον ἄνδρα καὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον αὐτου̃ ἄνδρα καὶ τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃2 וחמדו שדות וגזלו ובתים ונשאו ועשקו גבר וביתו ואיש ונחלתו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

Idcirco hæc dicit Dominus :/ Ecce ego cogito super familiam istam malum,/ unde non auferetis colla vestra,/ et non ambulabitis superbi :/ quoniam tempus pessimum est./

- C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, je médite contre cette race un malheur; Vous n'en préserverez pas vos cous, Et vous ne marcherez pas la tête levée, Car ces temps seront mauvais. (Ⅱ)

- Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil. (Ⅲ)

- διὰ του̃το τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ λογίζομαι ἐπὶ τὴν φυλὴν ταύτην κακά ἐξ ὡ̃ν οὐ μὴ ἄρητε τοὺς τραχήλους ὑμω̃ν καὶ οὐ μὴ πορευθη̃τε ὀρθοὶ ἐξαίφνης ὅτι καιρὸς πονηρός ἐστιν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃2 לכן כה אמר יהוה הנני חשב על המשפחה הזאת רעה אשר לא תמישו משם צוארתיכם ולא תלכו רומה כי עת רעה היא ‬ (Ⅴ)

In die illa sumetur super vos parabola,/ et cantabitur canticum cum suavitate, dicentium :/ Depopulatione vastati sumus ;/ pars populi mei commutata est :/ quomodo recedet a me, cum revertatur,/ qui regiones nostras dividat ?/

- En ce jour-là, on fera de vous un sujet de sarcasme, On poussera des cris lamentables, On dira: Nous sommes entièrement dévastés! Il donne à d'autres la part de mon peuple! Eh quoi! il me l'enlève! Il distribue nos champs à l'ennemi!... (Ⅱ)

- In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields. (Ⅲ)

- ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ λημφθήσεται ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς παραβολή καὶ θρηνηθήσεται θρη̃νος ἐν μέλει λέγων ταλαιπωρία̨ ἐταλαιπωρήσαμεν μερὶς λαου̃ μου κατεμετρήθη ἐν σχοινίω̨ καὶ οὐκ ἠ̃ν ὁ κωλύσων αὐτὸν του̃ ἀποστρέψαι οἱ ἀγροὶ ἡμω̃ν διεμερίσθησαν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃2 ביום ההוא ישא עליכם משל ונהה נהי נהיה אמר שדוד נשדנו חלק עמי ימיר איך ימיש לי לשובב שדינו יחלק ‬ (Ⅴ)

Propter hoc non erit tibi mittens funiculum sortis in cœtu Domini./

- C'est pourquoi tu n'auras personne Qui étende le cordeau sur un lot, Dans l'assemblée de l'Éternel. - (Ⅱ)

- Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD. (Ⅲ)

- διὰ του̃το οὐκ ἔσται σοι βάλλων σχοινίον ἐν κλήρω̨ ἐν ἐκκλησία̨ κυρίου (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃2 לכן לא יהיה לך משליך חבל בגורל בקהל יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 6

Ne loquamini loquentes ;/ non stillabit super istos, non comprehendet confusio./

- Ne prophétisez pas! disent-ils. Qu'on ne prophétise pas de telles choses! Les invectives n'ont point de fin! - (Ⅱ)

- Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame. (Ⅲ)

- μὴ κλαίετε δάκρυσιν μηδὲ δακρυέτωσαν ἐπὶ τούτοις οὐ γὰρ ἀπώσεται ὀνείδη (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃2 אל תטפו יטיפון לא יטפו לאלה לא יסג כלמות ‬ (Ⅴ)

Dicit domus Jacob :/ Numquid abbreviatus est spiritus Domini,/ aut tales sunt cogitationes ejus ?/ nonne verba mea bona sunt cum eo qui recte graditur ?/

- Oses-tu parler ainsi, maison de Jacob? L'Éternel est-il prompt à s'irriter? Est-ce là sa manière d'agir? Mes paroles ne sont-elles pas favorables A celui qui marche avec droiture? (Ⅱ)

- O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly? (Ⅲ)

- ὁ λέγων οἰ̃κος Ιακωβ παρώργισεν πνευ̃μα κυρίου εἰ ταυ̃τα τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτου̃ ἐστιν οὐχ οἱ λόγοι αὐτου̃ εἰσιν καλοὶ μετ' αὐτου̃ καὶ ὀρθοὶ πεπόρευνται (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃2 האמור בית יעקב הקצר רוח יהוה אם אלה מעלליו הלוא דברי ייטיבו עם הישר הולך ‬ (Ⅴ)

et e contrario populus meus in adversarium consurrexit./ Desuper tunica pallium sustulistis :/ et eos qui transibant simpliciter convertistis in bellum./

- Depuis longtemps on traite mon peuple en ennemi; Vous enlevez le manteau de dessus les vêtements De ceux qui passent avec sécurité En revenant de la guerre. (Ⅱ)

- Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἔμπροσθεν ὁ λαός μου εἰς ἔχθραν ἀντέστη κατέναντι τη̃ς εἰρήνης αὐτου̃ τὴν δορὰν αὐτου̃ ἐξέδειραν του̃ ἀφελέσθαι ἐλπίδα συντριμμὸν πολέμου (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃2 ואתמול עמי לאויב יקומם ממול שלמה אדר תפשטון מעברים בטח שובי מלחמה ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 9

Mulieres populi mei ejecistis de domo deliciarum suarum ;/ a parvulis earum tulistis laudem meam in perpetuum./

- Vous chassez de leurs maisons chéries les femmes de mon peuple, Vous ôtez pour toujours ma parure à leurs enfants. (Ⅱ)

- The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever. (Ⅲ)

- διὰ του̃το ἡγούμενοι λαου̃ μου ἀπορριφήσονται ἐκ τω̃ν οἰκιω̃ν τρυφη̃ς αὐτω̃ν διὰ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτω̃ν ἐξώσθησαν ἐγγίσατε ὄρεσιν αἰωνίοις (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃2 נשי עמי תגרשון מבית תענגיה מעל עלליה תקחו הדרי לעולם ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 10

Surgite, et ite, quia non habetis hic requiem :/ propter immunditiam ejus corrumpetur putredine pessima./

- Levez-vous, marchez! car ce n'est point ici un lieu de repos; A cause de la souillure, il y aura des douleurs, des douleurs violentes. (Ⅱ)

- Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction. (Ⅲ)

- ἀνάστηθι καὶ πορεύου ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν σοι αὕτη ἡ ἀνάπαυσις ἕνεκεν ἀκαθαρσίας διεφθάρητε φθορα̨̃ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃2 קומו ולכו כי לא זאת המנוחה בעבור טמאה תחבל וחבל נמרץ ‬ (Ⅴ)

Utinam non essem vir habens spiritum,/ et mendacium potius loquerer !/ Stillabo tibi in vinum et in ebrietatem ;/ et erit super quem stillatur populus iste./

- Si un homme court après le vent et débite des mensonges: Je vais te prophétiser sur le vin, sur les boissons fortes! Ce sera pour ce peuple un prophète. (Ⅱ)

- If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people. (Ⅲ)

- κατεδιώχθητε οὐδενὸς διώκοντος πνευ̃μα ἔστησεν ψευ̃δος ἐστάλαξέν σοι εἰς οἰ̃νον καὶ μέθυσμα καὶ ἔσται ἐκ τη̃ς σταγόνος του̃ λαου̃ τούτου (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃2 לו איש הלך רוח ושקר כזב אטף לך ליין ולשכר והיה מטיף העם הזה ‬ (Ⅴ)

Congregatione congregabo, Jacob, totum te ;/ in unum conducam reliquias Israël :/ pariter ponam illum quasi gregem in ovili,/ quasi pecus in medio caularum :/ tumultuabuntur a multitudine hominum./

- Je te rassemblerai tout entier, ô Jacob! Je rassemblerai les restes d'Israël, Je les réunirai comme les brebis d'une bergerie, Comme le troupeau dans son pâturage; Il y aura un grand bruit d'hommes. (Ⅱ)

- I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. (Ⅲ)

- συναγόμενος συναχθήσεται Ιακωβ σὺν πα̃σιν ἐκδεχόμενος ἐκδέξομαι τοὺς καταλοίπους του̃ Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ θήσομαι τὴν ἀποστροφὴν αὐτω̃ν ὡς πρόβατα ἐν θλίψει ὡς ποίμνιον ἐν μέσω̨ κοίτης αὐτω̃ν ἐξαλου̃νται ἐξ ἀνθρώπων (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃2 אסף אאסף יעקב כלך קבץ אקבץ שארית ישראל יחד אשימנו כצאן בצרה כעדר בתוך הדברו תהימנה מאדם ‬ (Ⅴ)

2. 13

Ascendet enim pandens iter ante eos :/ divident, et transibunt portam,/ et ingredientur per eam :/ et transibit rex eorum coram eis,/ et Dominus in capite eorum.]

- Celui qui fera la brèche montera devant eux; Ils feront la brèche, franchiront la porte et en sortiront; Leur roi marchera devant eux, Et l'Éternel sera à leur tête. (Ⅱ)

- The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them. (Ⅲ)

- διὰ τη̃ς διακοπη̃ς πρὸ προσώπου αὐτω̃ν διέκοψαν καὶ διη̃λθον πύλην καὶ ἐξη̃λθον δι' αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν ὁ βασιλεὺς αὐτω̃ν πρὸ προσώπου αὐτω̃ν ὁ δὲ κύριος ἡγήσεται αὐτω̃ν (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃2 עלה הפרץ לפניהם פרצו ויעברו שער ויצאו בו ויעבר מלכם לפניהם ויהוה בראשם פ‬ (Ⅴ)
