11. 100  
ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنبَاءِ الْقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّهُ عَلَيْكَ ۖ مِنْهَا قَائِمٌ وَحَصِيدٌ
- Thalika min anbai alqura naqussuhu AAalayka minha qaimun wahaseedun (Ⅰ)
- A curse follows them in this world and on the Day of Resurrection - ah, woeful is the gift that will be given them! (Ⅱ)
- That is (something) of the tidings of the townships (which were destroyed of old). We relate it unto thee (Muhammad). Some of them are standing and some (already) reaped. (Ⅲ)
- That is of the tidings of the cities We relate to thee; some of them are standing and some stubble. (Ⅳ)
- These are some of the stories of communities which We relate unto thee: of them some are standing, and some have been mown down (by the sickle of time). (Ⅵ)
11. 101  
وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَٰكِن ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ ۖ فَمَا أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ آلِهَتُهُمُ الَّتِي يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ لَّمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍ
- Wama thalamnahum walakin thalamoo anfusahum fama aghnat AAanhum alihatuhumu allatee yadAAoona min dooni Allahi min shayin lamma jaa amru rabbika wama zadoohum ghayra tatbeebin (Ⅰ)
- That is one of the stories of the communities that We recite to you - Some of them are standing now and some already mown down! (Ⅱ)
- We wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves; and their gods on whom they call beside Allah availed them naught when came thy Lord's command; they added to them naught save ruin. (Ⅲ)
- And We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves; their gods availed them not that they called upon, apart from God, anything, when the command of thy Lord came; and they increased them not, save in destruction. (Ⅳ)
- It was not We that wronged them: They wronged their own souls: the deities, other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them no whit when there issued the decree of thy Lord: Nor did they add aught (to their lot) but perdition! (Ⅵ)
11. 102  
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَىٰ وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ۚ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ
- Wakathalika akhthu rabbika itha akhatha alqura wahiya thalimatun inna akhthahu aleemun shadeedun (Ⅰ)
- We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. Their gods on whom they called instead of Allah availed them naught when once the command of your Lord had come; they add to them naught save ruin! (Ⅱ)
- Even thus is the grasp of thy Lord when He graspeth the townships while they are doing wrong. Lo! His grasp is painful, very strong. (Ⅲ)
- Such is the seizing of thy Lord, when He seizes the cities that are evildoing; surely His seizing is painful, terrible. (Ⅳ)
- Such is the chastisement of thy Lord when He chastises communities in the midst of their wrong: grievous, indeed, and severe is His chastisement. (Ⅵ)
11. 103  
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّمَنْ خَافَ عَذَابَ الْآخِرَةِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَّجْمُوعٌ لَّهُ النَّاسُ وَذَٰلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَّشْهُودٌ
- Inna fee thalika laayatan liman khafa AAathaba alakhirati thalika yawmun majmooAAun lahu alnnasu wathalika yawmun mashhoodun (Ⅰ)
- Even thus is your Lord´s grasp when He overtakes the communities that have done wrong; verily, His grasp is grievous, strong. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! herein verily there is a portent for those who fear the doom of the Hereafter. That is a day unto which mankind will be gathered, and that is a day that will be witnessed. (Ⅲ)
- Surely in that is a sign for him who fears the chastisement in the world to come; that is a day mankind are to be gathered to, a day to witness, (Ⅳ)
- In that is a Sign for those who fear the penalty of the Hereafter: that is a Day for which mankind will be gathered together: that will be a Day of Testimony. (Ⅵ)
11. 104  
وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُ إِلَّا لِأَجَلٍ مَّعْدُودٍ
- Wama nuakhkhiruhu illa liajalin maAAdoodin (Ⅰ)
- Verily, in this is a sign to him who fears the torment of the Hereafter - that is a Day unto which mankind shall be gathered, and that is a Day of Witness (a Day pointed to by events, a Day when testimony is given about the deeds of men, a Day which will be seen by all, a Day when the consequences of action come home.) (Ⅱ)
- And We defer it only to a term already reckoned. (Ⅲ)
- and We shall not postpone it, save to a term reckoned; (Ⅳ)
- Nor shall We delay it but for a term appointed. (Ⅵ)
11. 105  
يَوْمَ يَأْتِ لَا تَكَلَّمُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ فَمِنْهُمْ شَقِيٌّ وَسَعِيدٌ
- Yawma yati la takallamu nafsun illa biithnihi faminhum shaqiyyun wasaAAeedin (Ⅰ)
- We will delay it not, save unto an appointed time, already numbered. (Ⅱ)
- On the day when it cometh no soul will speak except by His permission; some among them will be wretched, (others) glad. (Ⅲ)
- the day it comes, no soul shall speak save by His leave; some of them shall be wretched and some happy. (Ⅳ)
- The day it arrives, no soul shall speak except by His leave: of those (gathered) some will be wretched and some will be blessed. (Ⅵ)
11. 106  
فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ شَقُوا فَفِي النَّارِ لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَشَهِيقٌ
- Faamma allatheena shaqoo fafee alnnari lahum feeha zafeerun washaheequn (Ⅰ)
- The Day when it comes, no soul shall speak save by His permission, and some shall be wretched and some glad. (Ⅱ)
- As for those who will be wretched (on that day) they will be in the Fire; sighing and wailing will be their portion therein, (Ⅲ)
- As for the wretched, they shall be in the Fire, wherein there shall be for them moaning and sighing, therein dwelling forever, (Ⅳ)
- Those who are wretched shall be in the Fire: There will be for them therein (nothing but) the heaving of sighs and sobs: (Ⅵ)
11. 107  
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
- Khalideena feeha ma damati alssamawatu waalardu illa ma shaa rabbuka inna rabbaka faAAAAalun lima yureedu (Ⅰ)
- And as for those who are wretched, they will be in the Fire; sighing and wailing will be their lot, (Ⅱ)
- Abiding there so long as the heavens and the earth endure save for that which thy Lord willeth. Lo! thy Lord is Doer of what He will. (Ⅲ)
- so long as the heavens and earth abide, save as thy Lord will; surely thy Lord accomplishes what He desires. (Ⅳ)
- They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: for thy Lord is the (sure) accomplisher of what He planneth. (Ⅵ)
11. 108  
۞ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا فَفِي الْجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ ۖ عَطَاءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذٍ
- Waamma allatheena suAAidoo fafee aljannati khalideena feeha ma damati alssamawatu waalardu illa ma shaa rabbuka AAataan ghayra majthoothin (Ⅰ)
- Abiding therein for so long as the heavens and the earth endure; save for what your Lord wills. Verily, your Lord is Accomplisher of what He wills (or plans). (Ⅱ)
- And as for those who will be glad (that day) they will be in the Garden, abiding there so long as the heavens and the earth endure save for that which thy Lord willeth: a gift unfailing. (Ⅲ)
- And as for the happy, they shall be in Paradise, therein dwelling forever, so long as the heavens and earth abide, save as thy Lord will -- for a gift unbroken. (Ⅳ)
- And those who are blessed shall be in the Garden: They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: a gift without break. (Ⅵ)
11. 109  
فَلَا تَكُ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِّمَّا يَعْبُدُ هَٰؤُلَاءِ ۚ مَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُهُم مِّن قَبْلُ ۚ وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ غَيْرَ مَنقُوصٍ
- Fala taku fee miryatin mimma yaAAbudu haolai ma yaAAbudoona illa kama yaAAbudu abaohum min qablu wainna lamuwaffoohum naseebahum ghayra manqoosin (Ⅰ)
- And as for those who are glad, they will be in the Garden, abiding therein so long as the heavens and the earth endure; save what your Lord wills, a gift unfailing! (Ⅱ)
- So be not thou in doubt concerning that which these (folk) worship. They worship only as their fathers worshipped aforetime. Lo! we shall pay them their whole due unabated. (Ⅲ)
- So be thou not in doubt concerning what these men serve; they serve only as their fathers served before; and We shall surely pay them in full their portion undiminished. (Ⅳ)
- Be not then in doubt as to what these men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them): but verily We shall pay them back (in full) their portion without (the least) abatement. (Ⅵ)
11. 110  
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
- Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba faikhtulifa feehi walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum wainnahum lafee shakkin minhu mureebun (Ⅰ)
- Be not then in doubt concerning what these men serve (or worship); they only serve as their fathers served before; and We will give them their portion undiminished. (Ⅱ)
- And we verily gave unto Moses the Scripture, and there was strife thereupon; and had it not been for a Word that had already gone forth from thy Lord, the case would have been judged between them, and lo! they are in grave doubt concerning it. (Ⅲ)
- And We gave Moses the Book; and there was difference regarding it, and but for a word that preceded from thy Lord, it had been decided between them; and they are in doubt of it disquieting. (Ⅳ)
- We certainly gave the Book to Moses, but differences arose therein: had it not been that a word had gone forth before from thy Lord, the matter would have been decided between them, but they are in suspicious doubt concerning it. (Ⅵ)
11. 111  
وَإِنَّ كُلًّا لَّمَّا لَيُوَفِّيَنَّهُمْ رَبُّكَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ
- Wainna kullan lamma layuwaffiyannahum rabbuka aAAmalahum innahu bima yaAAmaloona khabeerun (Ⅰ)
- When We gave Moses the Book before, they disagreed (or disputed) concerning it. Had it not been for a Word that had already gone forth from your Lord, the matter would have been decided between them; but, verily, they are still in hesitating doubt concerning it. (Ⅱ)
- And lo! unto each thy Lord will verily repay his works in full. Lo! He is Informed of what they do. (Ⅲ)
- Surely each one of them -- thy Lord will pay them in full for their works; He is aware of the things they do. (Ⅳ)
- And, of a surety, to all will your Lord pay back (in full the recompense) of their deeds: for He knoweth well all that they do. (Ⅵ)
11. 112  
فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَمَن تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا ۚ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
- Faistaqim kama omirta waman taba maAAaka wala tatghaw innahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun (Ⅰ)
- But, verily, every one will your Lord surely recompense for their works; verily, He is well Informed of what they do! (Ⅱ)
- So tread thou the straight path as thou art commanded, and those who turn (unto Allah) with thee, and transgress not. Lo! He is Seer of what ye do. (Ⅲ)
- So go thou straight, as thou hast been commanded, and whoso repents with thee; and be you not insolent; surely He sees the things you do. (Ⅳ)
- Therefore stand firm (in the straight Path) as thou art commanded,- thou and those who with thee turn (unto Allah); and transgress not (from the Path): for He seeth well all that ye do. (Ⅵ)
11. 113  
وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ
- Wala tarkanoo ila allatheena thalamoo fatamassakumu alnnaru wama lakum min dooni Allahi min awliyaa thumma la tunsaroona (Ⅰ)
- So stand you firm in the Straight Path, as you are commanded - you and those who turn unto Allah with you, and transgress you not. Verily, He is Seer of what you do. (Ⅱ)
- And incline not toward those who do wrong lest the Fire touch you, and ye have no protecting friends against Allah, and afterward ye would not be helped. (Ⅲ)
- And lean not on the evildoers, so that the Fire touches you -- you have no protectors apart from God -- and then you will not be helped. (Ⅳ)
- And incline not to those who do wrong, or the Fire will seize you; and ye have no protectors other than Allah, nor shall ye be helped. (Ⅵ)
11. 114  
وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ ۚ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ذِكْرَىٰ لِلذَّاكِرِينَ
- Waaqimi alssalata tarafayi alnnahari wazulafan mina allayli inna alhasanati yuthhibna alssayyiati thalika thikra lilththakireena (Ⅰ)
- Lean not unto those who do wrong, lest the Fire touches you, for you have no patrons but Allah; nor shall you be helped! (Ⅱ)
- Establish worship at the two ends of the day and in some watches of the night. Lo! good deeds annul ill-deeds. This is reminder for the mindful. (Ⅲ)
- And perform the prayer at the two ends of the day and nigh of the night; surely the good deeds will drive away the evil deeds. That is a remembrance unto the mindful. (Ⅳ)
- And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night: For those things, that are good remove those that are evil: Be that the word of remembrance to those who remember (their Lord): (Ⅵ)
11. 115  
وَاصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
- Waisbir fainna Allaha la yudeeAAu ajra almuhsineena (Ⅰ)
- And be you steadfast in prayer at the two ends of the day, and the (three) watches of the night. Verily, good things annul evil things. This is a reminder for the mindful. (Ⅱ)
- And have patience, (O Muhammad), for lo! Allah loseth not the wages of the good. (Ⅲ)
- And be thou patient; God will not leave to waste the wage of the good-doers. (Ⅳ)
- And be steadfast in patience; for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish. (Ⅵ)
11. 116  
فَلَوْلَا كَانَ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ أُولُو بَقِيَّةٍ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْفَسَادِ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّمَّنْ أَنجَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَاتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا أُتْرِفُوا فِيهِ وَكَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
- Falawla kana mina alqurooni min qablikum oloo baqiyyatin yanhawna AAani alfasadi fee alardi illa qaleelan mimman anjayna minhum waittabaAAa allatheena thalamoo ma otrifoo feehi wakanoo mujrimeena (Ⅰ)
- And be you patient, for Allah wastes not the wages of those who do good. (Ⅱ)
- If only there had been among the generations before you men possessing a remnant (of good sense) to warn (their people) from corruption in the earth, as did a few of those whom We saved from them! The wrong-doers followed that by which they were made sapless, and were guilty. (Ⅲ)
- Or if there had been, of the generations before you, men of a remainder forbidding corruption in the earth -- except a few of those whom We delivered of them; but the evildoers followed the ease they were given to exult in and became sinners. (Ⅳ)
- Why were there not, among the generations before you, persons possessed of balanced good sense, prohibiting (men) from mischief in the earth - except a few among them whom We saved (from harm)? But the wrong-doers pursued the enjoyment of the good things of life which were given them, and persisted in sin. (Ⅵ)
11. 117  
وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ
- Wama kana rabbuka liyuhlika alqura bithulmin waahluha muslihoona (Ⅰ)
- If only there had been, among the generations before you, men endowed with a remnant of virtue (balance, sobriety, righteousness, good sense) forbidding (warning, preventing) men from corruption in the earth, as did the few whom We saved from them. But the evildoers followed that by which they made (or were made) sapless (they enjoyed, drained and became drained), and were guilty. (Ⅱ)
- In truth thy Lord destroyed not the townships tyrannously while their folk were doing right. (Ⅲ)
- Yet thy Lord would never destroy the cities unjustly, while as yet their people were putting things right. (Ⅳ)
- Nor would thy Lord be the One to destroy communities for a single wrong-doing, if its members were likely to mend. (Ⅵ)
11. 118  
وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً ۖ وَلَا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ
- Walaw shaa rabbuka lajaAAala alnnasa ommatan wahidatan wala yazaloona mukhtalifeena (Ⅰ)
- In truth your Lord did not destroy the communities unjustly while they were doing right. (Or for a few or minor wrong-doings, or while there were few wrong-doers, or while they had the potentiality to mend). (Ⅱ)
- And if thy Lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation, yet they cease not differing, (Ⅲ)
- Had thy Lord willed, He would have made mankind one nation; but they continue in their differences (Ⅳ)
- If thy Lord had so willed, He could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute. (Ⅵ)
11. 119  
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ رَبُّكَ ۚ وَلِذَٰلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ ۗ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
- Illa man rahima rabbuka walithalika khalaqahum watammat kalimatu rabbika laamlaanna jahannama mina aljinnati waalnnasi ajmaAAeena (Ⅰ)
- Had your Lord pleased, He could have made men one nation; but they will not cease to dispute (Ⅱ)
- Save him on whom thy Lord hath mercy; and for that He did create them. And the Word of thy Lord hath been fulfilled: Verily I shall fill hell with the jinn and mankind together. (Ⅲ)
- excepting those on whom thy Lord has mercy. To that end He created them, and perfectly is fulfilled the word of thy Lord: ´I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with jinn and men all together.´ (Ⅳ)
- Except those on whom thy Lord hath bestowed His Mercy: and for this did He create them: and the Word of thy Lord shall be fulfilled: "I will fill Hell with jinns and men all together." (Ⅵ)
11. 120  
وَكُلًّا نَّقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنبَاءِ الرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ ۚ وَجَاءَكَ فِي هَٰذِهِ الْحَقُّ وَمَوْعِظَةٌ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- Wakullan naqussu AAalayka min anbai alrrusuli ma nuthabbitu bihi fuadaka wajaaka fee hathihi alhaqqu wamawAAithatun wathikra lilmumineena (Ⅰ)
- Save those on whom your Lord has had mercy. For this did He create them. And the Word of your Lord is fulfiled, "Verily, I will surely fill hell with Jinns and Mankind altogether." (Ⅱ)
- And all that We relate unto thee of the story of the messengers is in order that thereby We may make firm thy heart. And herein hath come unto thee the Truth and an exhortation and a reminder for believers. (Ⅲ)
- And all that We relate to thee of the tidings of the Messengers is that whereby We strengthen thy heart; in these there has come to thee the truth and an admonition, and a reminder to the believers. (Ⅳ)
- All that we relate to thee of the stories of the messengers,- with it We make firm thy heart: in them there cometh to thee the Truth, as well as an exhortation and a message of remembrance to those who believe. (Ⅵ)
11. 121  
وَقُل لِّلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ اعْمَلُوا عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنَّا عَامِلُونَ
- Waqul lillatheena la yuminoona iAAmaloo AAala makanatikum inna AAamiloona (Ⅰ)
- And all that We relate to you of the stories of the Messengers in order that thereby We might make firm your heart. And herein has the truth come to you, an admonition and a reminder to the believers. (Ⅱ)
- And say unto those who believe not: Act according to your power. Lo! We (too) are acting. (Ⅲ)
- And say to the unbelievers: ´Act you according to your station; we are acting. (Ⅳ)
- Say to those who do not believe: "Do what ever ye can: We shall do our part; (Ⅵ)
11. 122  
وَانتَظِرُوا إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ
- Waintathiroo inna muntathiroona (Ⅰ)
- Say to those who believe not, "Act according to your power, verily, we are acting too! (Ⅱ)
- And wait! Lo! We (too) are waiting. (Ⅲ)
- And watch and wait; we are also watching and waiting.´ (Ⅳ)
- "And wait ye! We too shall wait." (Ⅵ)
11. 123  
وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُ الْأَمْرُ كُلُّهُ فَاعْبُدْهُ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْهِ ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
- Walillahi ghaybu alssamawati waalardi wailayhi yurjaAAu alamru kulluhu faoAAbudhu watawakkal AAalayhi wama rabbuka bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona (Ⅰ)
- And wait ye, verily, we are waiting too!" (Ⅱ)
- And Allah's is the Invisible of the heavens and the earth, and unto Him the whole matter will be returned. So worship Him and put thy trust in Him. Lo! thy Lord is not unaware of what ye (mortals) do. (Ⅲ)
- To God belongs the Unseen in the heavens and the earth. To Him the whole matter shall be returned; so serve Him, and put thy trust in Him. Thy Lord is not heedless of the things you do. (Ⅳ)
- To Allah do belong the unseen (secrets) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him goeth back every affair (for decision): then worship Him, and put thy trust in Him: and thy Lord is not unmindful of aught that ye do. (Ⅵ)
