23. 100  
لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِن وَرَائِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
- LaAAallee aAAmalu salihan feema taraktu kalla innaha kalimatun huwa qailuha wamin waraihim barzakhun ila yawmi yubAAathoona (Ⅰ)
- That I may do right in that which I have left behind." Nay! It is but a mere word he speaks; behind them is a barrier until the Day they shall be raised. (Ⅱ)
- That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. (Ⅲ)
- haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.´ Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. (Ⅳ)
- "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. (Ⅵ)
23. 101  
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
- Faitha nufikha fee alssoori fala ansaba baynahum yawmaithin wala yatasaaloona (Ⅰ)
- And when the trumpet shall be blown, and there shall be no kinship between them on that day, nor will they ask about each other then! (Ⅱ)
- And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. (Ⅲ)
- For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. (Ⅳ)
- Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! (Ⅵ)
23. 102  
فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
- Faman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faolaika humu almuflihoona (Ⅰ)
- And those whose scales are heavy (with good deeds), they are the successful. (Ⅱ)
- Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. (Ⅲ)
- Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, (Ⅳ)
- Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: (Ⅵ)
23. 103  
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فِي جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ
- Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faolaika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fee jahannama khalidoona (Ⅰ)
- But those whose scales are light, these are they who lose their souls, in hell will they abide. (Ⅱ)
- And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. (Ⅲ)
- and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, (Ⅳ)
- But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. (Ⅵ)
23. 104  
تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ
- Talfahu wujoohahumu alnnaru wahum feeha kalihoona (Ⅰ)
- The fire shall scorch their faces, and they shall curl their lips (in gloom) therein. (Ⅱ)
- The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. (Ⅲ)
- the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. (Ⅳ)
- The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. (Ⅵ)
23. 105  
أَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
- Alam takun ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum biha tukaththiboona (Ⅰ)
- (It will be said) "Were not My revelations recited to you? And did you not treat them as falsehoods?" (Ⅱ)
- (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them ? (Ⅲ)
- ´What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?´ (Ⅳ)
- "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" (Ⅵ)
23. 106  
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ
- Qaloo rabbana ghalabat AAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena (Ⅰ)
- They will say, "Our Lord our misfortune overcame us, and we became a people astray. (Ⅱ)
- They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. (Ⅲ)
- They shall say, ´Our Lord, our adversity prevailed over us; we were an erring people. (Ⅳ)
- They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! (Ⅵ)
23. 107  
رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ
- Rabbana akhrijna minha fain AAudna fainna thalimoona (Ⅰ)
- "Our Lord! Take us out of this, and if we return to evil, then shall we be unjust indeed." (Ⅱ)
- Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. (Ⅲ)
- Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.´ (Ⅳ)
- "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" (Ⅵ)
23. 108  
قَالَ اخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ
- Qala ikhsaoo feeha wala tukallimooni (Ⅰ)
- He will say, "Be gone into it, and speak you not to Me." (Ⅱ)
- He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. (Ⅲ)
- ´Slink you into it,´ He shall say, ´and do not speak to Me. (Ⅳ)
- He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! (Ⅵ)
23. 109  
إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
- Innahu kana fareequn min AAibadee yaqooloona rabbana amanna faighfir lana wairhamna waanta khayru alrrahimeena (Ⅰ)
- "Verily, there was a sect of My servants who used to pray, "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy upon us, for Thou art the best of the merciful ones." (Ⅱ)
- Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; (Ⅲ)
- There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." (Ⅳ)
- "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray ´our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" (Ⅵ)
23. 110  
فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ
- Faittakhathtumoohum sikhriyyan hatta ansawkum thikree wakuntum minhum tadhakoona (Ⅰ)
- "But you took them for a jest (treated them with ridicule) until you forgot My reminder and did laugh at them. (Ⅱ)
- But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. (Ⅲ)
- But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. (Ⅳ)
- "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! (Ⅵ)
23. 111  
إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ
- Innee jazaytuhumu alyawma bima sabaroo annahum humu alfaizoona (Ⅰ)
- "Verily, I have rewarded them this day that they were steadfast; verily, they are indeed triumphant, blissful now. (Ⅱ)
- Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. (Ⅲ)
- Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.´ (Ⅳ)
- "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." (Ⅵ)
23. 112  
قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ
- Qala kam labithtum fee alardi AAadada sineena (Ⅰ)
- He will say, "How long a number of years did you tarry on earth?" (Ⅱ)
- He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years ? (Ⅲ)
- He shall say, ´How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?´ (Ⅳ)
- He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" (Ⅵ)
23. 113  
قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَاسْأَلِ الْعَادِّينَ
- Qaloo labithna yawman aw baAAda yawmin faisali alAAaddeena (Ⅰ)
- They will say, "We tarried but a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep count." (Ⅱ)
- They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! (Ⅲ)
- They shall say, ´We have tarried a day, or part of a day; ask the numberers!´ (Ⅳ)
- They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." (Ⅵ)
23. 114  
قَالَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ لَّوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
- Qala in labithtum illa qaleelan law annakum kuntum taAAlamoona (Ⅰ)
- He will say, "You have only tarried a little, if you but knew. (Ⅱ)
- He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. (Ⅲ)
- He shall say, ´You have tarried but a little, did you know. (Ⅳ)
- He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! (Ⅵ)
23. 115  
أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ
- Afahasibtum annama khalaqnakum AAabathan waannakum ilayna la turjaAAoona (Ⅰ)
- "Did you then think that We created you for jest (or sport, without purpose), and that you would not be returned to Us?" (Ⅱ)
- Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us ? (Ⅲ)
- What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?´ (Ⅳ)
- "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" (Ⅵ)
23. 116  
فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
- FataAAala Allahu almaliku alhaqqu la ilaha illa huwa rabbu alAAarshi alkareemi (Ⅰ)
- But exalted be Allah, the True King; there is no God but He, the Lord of the Noble Throne (or Throne of Honour)! (Ⅱ)
- Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no God save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace. (Ⅲ)
- Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. (Ⅳ)
- Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! (Ⅵ)
23. 117  
وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ
- Waman yadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara la burhana lahu bihi fainnama hisabuhu AAinda rabbihi innahu la yuflihu alkafiroona (Ⅰ)
- He who calls unto any other God along with Allah has no proof thereof; verily, his account is only with his Lord; verily, the disbelievers shall not be successful. (Ⅱ)
- He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. (Ⅲ)
- And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. (Ⅳ)
- If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! (Ⅵ)
23. 118  
وَقُل رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
- Waqul rabbi ighfir wairham waanta khayru alrrahimeena (Ⅰ)
- And say, "Lord, Forgive and have mercy, for you are the best of the merciful ones!" (Ⅱ)
- And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. (Ⅲ)
- And say: ´My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.´ (Ⅳ)
- So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" (Ⅵ)
