34.
50
قُلْ إِن ضَلَلْتُ فَإِنَّمَا أَضِلُّ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي ۖ وَإِنِ اهْتَدَيْتُ فَبِمَا يُوحِي إِلَيَّ رَبِّي ۚ إِنَّهُ سَمِيعٌ قَرِيبٌ
- Qul in dalaltu fainnama adillu AAala nafsee waini ihtadaytu fabima yoohee ilayya rabbee innahu sameeAAun qareebun (Ⅰ) - Say, " If I err, I err only against my own soul, and if I follow a right direction, it is because of what my Lord reveals to me; surely He is Hearing, Nigh. (Ⅱ) - Say: If I err, I err only to my own loss, and if I am rightly guided it is because of that which my Lord hath revealed unto me. Lo! He is Hearer, Nigh. (Ⅲ) - Say: ´If I go astray, I go astray only to my own loss; if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. He is All-hearing, Ever-nigh.´ (Ⅳ) - Say: "If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance, it is because of the inspiration of my Lord to me: it is He Who hears all things, and is (ever) near." (Ⅵ)

51
وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذْ فَزِعُوا فَلَا فَوْتَ وَأُخِذُوا مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
- Walaw tara ith faziAAoo fala fawta waokhithoo min makanin qareebin (Ⅰ) - Could you but see when they are terrified with no escape and are seized upon from near at hand. (Ⅱ) - Couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape, and are seized from near at hand, (Ⅲ) - Ah, if thou couldst see when they are terrified, and there is no escape, and they are seized from a place near at hand, (Ⅳ) - If thou couldst but see when they will quake with terror; but then there will be no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a position (quite) near. (Ⅵ)

52
وَقَالُوا آمَنَّا بِهِ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ التَّنَاوُشُ مِن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ
- Waqaloo amanna bihi waanna lahumu alttanawushu min makanin baAAeedin (Ⅰ) - And they shall say, "We believe in it (now)." But how can they reach faith from a position so far away from it? (Ⅱ) - And say: We (now) believe therein. But how can they reach (faith) from afar off, (Ⅲ) - and they say, ´We believe in it´; but how can they reach from a place far away, (Ⅳ) - And they will say, "We do believe (now) in the (Truth)"; but how could they receive (Faith) from a position (so far off,- (Ⅵ)

وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِهِ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَيَقْذِفُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ مِن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ
- Waqad kafaroo bihi min qablu wayaqthifoona bialghaybi min makanin baAAeedin (Ⅰ) - (Seeing) they disbelieved in it before. And they aim at the unseen from afar off (with far out conjectures) (Ⅱ) - When they disbelieved in it of yore. They aim at the unseen from afar off. (Ⅲ) - seeing they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a place far away? (Ⅳ) - Seeing that they did reject Faith (entirely) before, and that they (continually) cast (slanders) on the unseen from a position far off? (Ⅵ)

54
وَحِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُونَ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِأَشْيَاعِهِم مِّن قَبْلُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا فِي شَكٍّ مُّرِيبٍ
- Waheela baynahum wabayna ma yashtahoona kama fuAAila biashyaAAihim min qablu innahum kanoo fee shakkin mureebin (Ⅰ) - And a barrier shall be placed between them and that which they desire, as was done with the likes of them before: surely they are in hopeless (disquieting, distressing) doubt. (Ⅱ) - And a gulf is set between them and that which they desire, as was done for people of their kind of old. Lo! they were in hopeless doubt. (Ⅲ) - And a barrier is set between them and that they desire, as was done with the likes of them aforetime; they were in doubt disquieting. (Ⅳ) - And between them and their desires, is placed a barrier, as was done in the past with their partisans: for they were indeed in suspicious (disquieting) doubt. (Ⅵ)
