21. 1

Du temps de David, il y eut une famine qui dura trois ans. David chercha la face de l'Éternel, et l'Éternel dit: C'est à cause de Saül et de sa maison sanguinaire, c'est parce qu'il a fait périr les Gabaonites.

- Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο λιμὸς ἐν ται̃ς ἡμέραις Δαυιδ τρία ἔτη ἐνιαυτὸς ἐχόμενος ἐνιαυτου̃ καὶ ἐζήτησεν Δαυιδ τὸ πρόσωπον του̃ κυρίου καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος ἐπὶ Σαουλ καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον αὐτου̃ ἀδικία διὰ τὸ αὐτὸν θανάτω̨ αἱμάτων περὶ οὑ̃ ἐθανάτωσεν τοὺς Γαβαωνίτας (Ⅲ)

- Facta est quoque fames in diebus David tribus annis jugiter : et consuluit David oraculum Domini. Dixitque Dominus : Propter Saul, et domum ejus sanguinum, quia occidit Gabaonitas. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃21 ויהי רעב בימי דוד שלש שנים שנה אחרי שנה ויבקש דוד את פני יהוה סויאמר יהוה אל שאול ואל בית הדמים על אשר המית את הגבענים ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 2

Le roi appela les Gabaonites pour leur parler. -Les Gabaonites n'étaient point d'entre les enfants d'Israël, mais c'était un reste des Amoréens; les enfants d'Israël s'étaient liés envers eux par un serment, et néanmoins Saül avait voulu les frapper, dans son zèle pour les enfants d'Israël et de Juda. -

- And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.) (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Δαυιδ τοὺς Γαβαωνίτας καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτούς καὶ οἱ Γαβαωνι̃ται οὐχ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ εἰσίν ὅτι ἀλλ' ἢ ἐκ του̃ λείμματος του̃ Αμορραίου καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ὤμοσαν αὐτοι̃ς καὶ ἐζήτησεν Σαουλ πατάξαι αὐτοὺς ἐν τω̨̃ ζηλω̃σαι αὐτὸν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδα (Ⅲ)

- Vocatis ergo Gabaonitis rex, dixit ad eos (porro Gabaonitæ non erant de filiis Israël, sed reliquiæ Amorrhæorum : filii quippe Israël juraverant eis, et voluit Saul percutere eos zelo, quasi pro filiis Israël et Juda), (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃21 ויקרא המלך לגבענים ויאמר אליהם והגבענים לא מבני ישראל המה כי אם מיתר האמרי ובני ישראל נשבעו להם ויבקש שאול להכתם בקנאתו לבני ישראל ויהודה ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 3

David dit aux Gabaonites: Que puis-je faire pour vous, et avec quoi ferai-je expiation, afin que vous bénissiez l'héritage de l'Éternel?

- Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD? (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃πεν Δαυιδ πρὸς τοὺς Γαβαωνίτας τί ποιήσω ὑμι̃ν καὶ ἐν τίνι ἐξιλάσομαι καὶ εὐλογήσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν κυρίου (Ⅲ)

- dixit ergo David ad Gabaonitas : Quid faciam vobis ? et quod erit vestri piaculum, ut benedicatis hæreditati Domini ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃21 ויאמר דוד אל הגבענים מה אעשה לכם ובמה אכפר וברכו את נחלת יהוה ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 4

Les Gabaonites lui répondirent: Ce n'est pas pour nous une question d'argent et d'or avec Saül et avec sa maison, et ce n'est pas à nous qu'il appartient de faire mourir personne en Israël. Et le roi dit: Que voulez-vous donc que je fasse pour vous?

- And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃παν αὐτω̨̃ οἱ Γαβαωνι̃ται οὐκ ἔστιν ἡμι̃ν ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον μετὰ Σαουλ καὶ μετὰ του̃ οἴκου αὐτου̃ καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἡμι̃ν ἀνὴρ θανατω̃σαι ἐν Ισραηλ καὶ εἰ̃πεν τί ὑμει̃ς λέγετε καὶ ποιήσω ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ)

- Dixeruntque ei Gabaonitæ : Non est nobis super argento et auro quæstio, sed contra Saul, et contra domum ejus : neque volumus ut interficiatur homo de Israël. Ad quos rex ait : Quid ergo vultis ut faciam vobis ? (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃21 ויאמרו לו הגבענים אין *לי **לנו כסף וזהב עם שאול ועם ביתו ואין לנו איש להמית בישראל ויאמר מה אתם אמרים אעשה לכם ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 5

Ils répondirent au roi: Puisque cet homme nous a consumés, et qu'il avait le projet de nous détruire pour nous faire disparaître de tout le territoire d'Israël,

- And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel, (Ⅱ)

- καὶ εἰ̃παν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα ὁ ἀνὴρ συνετέλεσεν ἐφ' ἡμα̃ς καὶ ἐδίωξεν ἡμα̃ς ὃς παρελογίσατο ἐξολεθρευ̃σαι ἡμα̃ς ἀφανίσωμεν αὐτὸν του̃ μὴ ἑστάναι αὐτὸν ἐν παντὶ ὁρίω̨ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Qui dixerunt regi : Virum qui attrivit nos et oppressit inique, ita delere debemus, ut ne unus quidem residuus sit de stirpe ejus in cunctis finibus Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃21 ויאמרו אל המלך האיש אשר כלנו ואשר דמה לנו נשמדנו מהתיצב בכל גבל ישראל ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 6

qu'on nous livre sept hommes d'entre ses fils, et nous les pendrons devant l'Éternel à Guibea de Saül, l'élu de l'Éternel. Et le roi dit: Je les livrerai.

- Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them. (Ⅱ)

- δότω ἡμι̃ν ἑπτὰ ἄνδρας ἐκ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐξηλιάσωμεν αὐτοὺς τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἐν Γαβαων Σαουλ ἐκλεκτοὺς κυρίου καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ βασιλεύς ἐγὼ δώσω (Ⅲ)

- Dentur nobis septem viri de filiis ejus, ut crucifigamus eos Domino in Gabaa Saul, quondam electi Domini. Et ait rex : Ego dabo. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃21 *ינתן **יתן לנו שבעה אנשים מבניו והוקענום ליהוה בגבעת שאול בחיר יהוה סויאמר המלך אני אתן ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 7

Le roi épargna Mephiboscheth, fils de Jonathan, fils de Saül, à cause du serment qu'avaient fait entre eux, devant l'Éternel, David et Jonathan, fils de Saül.

- But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐφείσατο ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐπὶ Μεμφιβοσθε υἱὸν Ιωναθαν υἱου̃ Σαουλ διὰ τὸν ὅρκον κυρίου τὸν ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτω̃ν ἀνὰ μέσον Δαυιδ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Ιωναθαν υἱου̃ Σαουλ (Ⅲ)

- Pepercitque rex Miphiboseth filio Jonathæ filii Saul, propter jusjurandum Domini quod fuerat inter David et inter Jonathan filium Saul. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃21 ויחמל המלך על מפי בשת בן יהונתן בן שאול על שבעת יהוה אשר בינתם בין דוד ובין יהונתן בן שאול ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 8

Mais le roi prit les deux fils que Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, avait enfantés à Saül, Armoni et Mephiboscheth, et les cinq fils que Mérab, fille de Saül, avait enfantés à Adriel de Mehola, fils de Barzillaï;

- But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite: (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τοὺς δύο υἱοὺς Ρεσφα θυγατρὸς Αια οὓς ἔτεκεν τω̨̃ Σαουλ τὸν Ερμωνι καὶ τὸν Μεμφιβοσθε καὶ τοὺς πέντε υἱοὺς Μιχολ θυγατρὸς Σαουλ οὓς ἔτεκεν τω̨̃ Εσριηλ υἱω̨̃ Βερζελλι τω̨̃ Μοουλαθι (Ⅲ)

- Tulit itaque rex duos filios Respha filiæ Aja quos peperit Sauli, Armoni, et Miphiboseth : et quinque filios Michol filiæ Saul quos genuerat Hadrieli filio Berzellai, qui fuit de Molathi, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃21 ויקח המלך את שני בני רצפה בת איה אשר ילדה לשאול את ארמני ואת מפבשת ואת חמשת בני מיכל בת שאול אשר ילדה לעדריאל בן ברזלי המחלתי ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 9

et il les livra entre les mains des Gabaonites, qui les pendirent sur la montagne, devant l'Éternel. Tous les sept périrent ensemble; ils furent mis à mort dans les premiers jours de la moisson, au commencement de la moisson des orges.

- And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοὺς ἐν χειρὶ τω̃ν Γαβαωνιτω̃ν καὶ ἐξηλίασαν αὐτοὺς ἐν τω̨̃ ὄρει ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἔπεσαν οἱ ἑπτὰ αὐτοὶ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό καὶ αὐτοὶ δὲ ἐθανατώθησαν ἐν ἡμέραις θερισμου̃ ἐν πρώτοις ἐν ἀρχη̨̃ θερισμου̃ κριθω̃ν (Ⅲ)

- et dedit eos in manus Gabaonitarum : qui crucifixerunt eos in monte coram Domino : et ceciderunt hi septem simul occisi in diebus messis primis, incipiente messione hordei. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃21 ויתנם ביד הגבענים ויקיעם בהר לפני יהוה ויפלו *שבעתים **שבעתם יחד *והם **והמה המתו בימי קציר בראשנים *תחלת **בתחלת‪[a]‬ קציר שערים ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 10

Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, prit un sac et l'étendit sous elle contre le rocher, depuis le commencement de la moisson jusqu'à ce que la pluie du ciel tombât sur eux; et elle empêcha les oiseaux du ciel de s'approcher d'eux pendant le jour, et les bêtes des champs pendant la nuit.

- And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔλαβεν Ρεσφα θυγάτηρ Αια τὸν σάκκον καὶ ἔπηξεν αὑτη̨̃ πρὸς τὴν πέτραν ἐν ἀρχη̨̃ θερισμου̃ κριθω̃ν ἕως ἔσταξεν ἐπ' αὐτοὺς ὕδωρ ἐκ του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ οὐκ ἔδωκεν τὰ πετεινὰ του̃ οὐρανου̃ καταπαυ̃σαι ἐπ' αὐτοὺς ἡμέρας καὶ τὰ θηρία του̃ ἀγρου̃ νυκτός (Ⅲ)

- Tollens autem Respha filia Aja cilicium, substravit sibi supra petram ab initio messis, donec stillaret aqua super eos de cælo : et non dimisit aves lacerare eos per diem, neque bestias per noctem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃21 ותקח רצפה בת איה את השק ותטהו לה אל הצור מתחלת קציר עד נתך מים עליהם מן השמים ולא נתנה עוף השמים לנוח עליהם יומם ואת חית השדה לילה ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 11

On informa David de ce qu'avait fait Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, concubine de Saül.

- And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀπηγγέλη τω̨̃ Δαυιδ ὅσα ἐποίησεν Ρεσφα θυγάτηρ Αια παλλακὴ Σαουλ καὶ ἐξελύθησαν καὶ κατέλαβεν αὐτοὺς Δαν υἱὸς Ιωα ἐκ τω̃ν ἀπογόνων τω̃ν γιγάντων (Ⅲ)

- Et nuntiata sunt David quæ fecerat Respha filia Aja, concubina Saul. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃21 ויגד לדוד את אשר עשתה רצפה בת איה פלגש שאול ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 12

Et David alla prendre les os de Saül et les os de Jonathan, son fils, chez les habitants de Jabès en Galaad, qui les avaient enlevés de la place de Beth Schan, où les Philistins les avaient suspendus lorsqu'ils battirent Saül à Guilboa.

- And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa: (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐπορεύθη Δαυιδ καὶ ἔλαβεν τὰ ὀστα̃ Σαουλ καὶ τὰ ὀστα̃ Ιωναθαν του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ παρὰ τω̃ν ἀνδρω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ιαβις Γαλααδ οἳ ἔκλεψαν αὐτοὺς ἐκ τη̃ς πλατείας Βαιθσαν ὅτι ἔστησαν αὐτοὺς ἐκει̃ οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἐν ἡμέρα̨ ἡ̨̃ ἐπάταξαν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι τὸν Σαουλ ἐν Γελβουε (Ⅲ)

- Et abiit David, et tulit ossa Saul, et ossa Jonathæ filii ejus, a viris Jabes Galaad, qui furati fuerant ea de platea Bethsan in qua suspenderant eos Philisthiim cum interfecissent Saul in Gelboë : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃21 וילך דוד ויקח את עצמות שאול ואת עצמות יהונתן בנו מאת בעלי יביש גלעד אשר גנבו אתם מרחב בית שן אשר *תלום **תלאום *שם *הפלשתים **שמה **פלשתים ביום הכות פלשתים את שאול בגלבע ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 13

Il emporta de là les os de Saül et les os de Jonathan, son fils; et l'on recueillit aussi les os de ceux qui avaient été pendus.

- And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ἐκει̃θεν τὰ ὀστα̃ Σαουλ καὶ τὰ ὀστα̃ Ιωναθαν του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ καὶ συνήγαγεν τὰ ὀστα̃ τω̃ν ἐξηλιασμένων (Ⅲ)

- et asportavit inde ossa Saul, et ossa Jonathæ filii ejus : et colligentes ossa eorum qui affixi fuerant, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃21 ויעל משם את עצמות שאול ואת עצמות יהונתן בנו ויאספו את עצמות המוקעים ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 14

On enterra les os de Saül et de Jonathan, son fils, au pays de Benjamin, à Tséla, dans le sépulcre de Kis, père de Saül. Et l'on fit tout ce que le roi avait ordonné. Après cela, Dieu fut apaisé envers le pays.

- And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἔθαψαν τὰ ὀστα̃ Σαουλ καὶ τὰ ὀστα̃ Ιωναθαν του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ καὶ τω̃ν ἡλιασθέντων ἐν γη̨̃ Βενιαμιν ἐν τη̨̃ πλευρα̨̃ ἐν τω̨̃ τάφω̨ Κις του̃ πατρὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐποίησαν πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο ὁ βασιλεύς καὶ ἐπήκουσεν ὁ θεὸς τη̨̃ γη̨̃ μετὰ ταυ̃τα (Ⅲ)

- sepelierunt ea cum ossibus Saul et Jonathæ filii ejus in terra Benjamin, in latere, in sepulchro Cis patris ejus : feceruntque omnia quæ præceperat rex, et repropitiatus est Deus terræ post hæc.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃21 ויקברו את עצמות שאול ויהונתן בנו בארץ בנימן בצלע בקבר קיש אביו ויעשו כל אשר צוה המלך ויעתר אלהים לארץ אחרי כן פ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 15

Les Philistins firent encore la guerre à Israël. David descendit avec ses serviteurs, et ils combattirent les Philistins. David était fatigué.

- Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγενήθη ἔτι πόλεμος τοι̃ς ἀλλοφύλοις μετὰ Ισραηλ καὶ κατέβη Δαυιδ καὶ οἱ παι̃δες αὐτου̃ μετ' αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐπολέμησαν μετὰ τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ ἐξελύθη Δαυιδ (Ⅲ)

- Factum est autem rursum prælium Philisthinorum adversum Israël, et descendit David, et servi ejus cum eo, et pugnabant contra Philisthiim. Deficiente autem David, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃21 ותהי עוד מלחמה לפלשתים את ישראל וירד דוד ועבדיו עמו וילחמו את פלשתים ויעף דוד ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 16

Et Jischbi Benob, l'un des enfants de Rapha, eut la pensée de tuer David; il avait une lance du poids de trois cents sicles d'airain, et il était ceint d'une épée neuve.

- And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ Ιεσβι ὃς ἠ̃ν ἐν τοι̃ς ἐκγόνοις του̃ Ραφα καὶ ὁ σταθμὸς του̃ δόρατος αὐτου̃ τριακοσίων σίκλων ὁλκὴ χαλκου̃ καὶ αὐτὸς περιεζωσμένος κορύνην καὶ διενοει̃το πατάξαι τὸν Δαυιδ (Ⅲ)

- Jesbibenob, qui fuit de genere Arapha, cujus ferrum hastæ trecentas uncias appendebat, et accinctus erat ense novo, nisus est percutere David. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃21 *וישבו **וישבי בנב אשר בילידי הרפה ומשקל קינו שלש מאות משקל נחשת והוא חגור חדשה ויאמר להכות את דוד ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 17

Abischaï, fils de Tseruja, vint au secours de David, frappa le Philistin et le tua. Alors les gens de David jurèrent, en lui disant: Tu ne sortiras plus avec nous pour combattre, et tu n'éteindras pas la lampe d'Israël.

- But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succored him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐβοήθησεν αὐτω̨̃ Αβεσσα υἱὸς Σαρουιας καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν ἀλλόφυλον καὶ ἐθανάτωσεν αὐτόν τότε ὤμοσαν οἱ ἄνδρες Δαυιδ λέγοντες οὐκ ἐξελεύση̨ ἔτι μεθ' ἡμω̃ν εἰς πόλεμον καὶ οὐ μὴ σβέση̨ς τὸν λύχνον Ισραηλ (Ⅲ)

- Præsidioque ei fuit Abisai filius Sarviæ, et percussum Philisthæum interfecit. Tunc juraverunt viri David, dicentes : Jam non egredieris nobiscum in bellum, ne extinguas lucernam Israël. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃21 ויעזר לו אבישי בן צרויה ויך את הפלשתי וימיתהו אז נשבעו אנשי דוד לו לאמר לא תצא עוד אתנו למלחמה ולא תכבה את נר ישראל פ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 18

Il y eut encore, après cela, une bataille à Gob avec les Philistins. Alors Sibbecaï, le Huschatite, tua Saph, qui était un des enfants de Rapha.

- And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγενήθη μετὰ ταυ̃τα ἔτι πόλεμος ἐν Γεθ μετὰ τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων τότε ἐπάταξεν Σεβοχα ὁ Αστατωθι τὸν Σεφ τὸν ἐν τοι̃ς ἐκγόνοις του̃ Ραφα (Ⅲ)

- Secundum quoque bellum fuit in Gob contra Philisthæos : tunc percussit Sobochai de Husati, Saph de stirpe Arapha de genere gigantum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 18 ׃21 ויהי אחרי כן ותהי עוד המלחמה בגוב עם פלשתים אז הכה סבכי החשתי את סף אשר בילדי הרפה פ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 19

Il y eut encore une bataille à Gob avec les Philistins. Et Elchanan, fils de Jaaré Oreguim, de Bethléhem, tua Goliath de Gath, qui avait une lance dont le bois était comme une ensouple de tisserand.

- And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ πόλεμος ἐν Γοβ μετὰ τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ ἐπάταξεν Ελεαναν υἱὸς Αριωργιμ ὁ Βαιθλεεμίτης τὸν Γολιαθ τὸν Γεθθαι̃ον καὶ τὸ ξύλον του̃ δόρατος αὐτου̃ ὡς ἀντίον ὑφαινόντων (Ⅲ)

- Tertium quoque fuit bellum in Gob contra Philisthæos, in quo percussit Adeodatus filius Saltus polymitarius Bethlehemites Goliath Gethæum, cujus hastile hastæ erat quasi liciatorium texentium. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 19 ׃21 ותהי עוד המלחמה בגוב עם פלשתים ויך אלחנן בן יערי‪[c]‬ ארגים בית הלחמי את גלית הגתי ועץ חניתו כמנור ארגים ס‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 20

Il y eut encore une bataille à Gath. Il s'y trouva un homme de haute taille, qui avait six doigts à chaque main et à chaque pied, vingt-quatre en tout, et qui était aussi issu de Rapha.

- And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ἐγένετο ἔτι πόλεμος ἐν Γεθ καὶ ἠ̃ν ἀνὴρ Μαδων καὶ οἱ δάκτυλοι τω̃ν χειρω̃ν αὐτου̃ καὶ οἱ δάκτυλοι τω̃ν ποδω̃ν αὐτου̃ ἓξ καὶ ἕξ εἴκοσι τέσσαρες ἀριθμω̨̃ καί γε αὐτὸς ἐτέχθη τω̨̃ Ραφα (Ⅲ)

- Quartum bellum fuit in Geth : in quo vir fuit excelsus, qui senos in manibus pedibusque habebat digitos, id est, viginti quatuor : et erat de origine Arapha. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 20 ׃21 ותהי עוד מלחמה בגת ויהי איש *מדין **מדון ואצבעת ידיו ואצבעת רגליו שש ושש עשרים וארבע מספר וגם הוא ילד להרפה ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 21

Il jeta un défi à Israël; et Jonathan, fils de Schimea, frère de David, le tua.

- And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him. (Ⅱ)

- καὶ ὠνείδισεν τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν Ιωναθαν υἱὸς Σεμεϊ ἀδελφου̃ Δαυιδ (Ⅲ)

- Et blasphemavit Israël : percussit autem eum Jonathan filius Samaa fratris David. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 21 ׃21 ויחרף את ישראל ויכהו יהונתן בן *שמעי **שמעה אחי דוד ‬ (Ⅴ)

21. 22

Ces quatre hommes étaient des enfants de Rapha à Gath. Ils périrent par la main de David et par la main de ses serviteurs.

- These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants. (Ⅱ)

- οἱ τέσσαρες οὑ̃τοι ἐτέχθησαν ἀπόγονοι τω̃ν γιγάντων ἐν Γεθ τω̨̃ Ραφα οἰ̃κος καὶ ἔπεσαν ἐν χειρὶ Δαυιδ καὶ ἐν χειρὶ τω̃ν δούλων αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)

- Hi quatuor nati sunt de Arapha in Geth, et ceciderunt in manu David et servorum ejus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 22 ׃21 את ארבעת אלה ילדו להרפה בגת ויפלו ביד דוד וביד עבדיו פ‬ (Ⅴ)
