L'Éternel est un Dieu jaloux, il se venge; L'Éternel se venge, il est plein de fureur; L'Éternel se venge de ses adversaires, Il garde rancune à ses ennemis.
- God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. (Ⅱ)
- θεὸς ζηλωτὴς καὶ ἐκδικω̃ν κύριος ἐκδικω̃ν κύριος μετὰ θυμου̃ ἐκδικω̃ν κύριος τοὺς ὑπεναντίους αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐξαίρων αὐτὸς τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Deus æmulator, et ulciscens Dominus :/ ulciscens Dominus, et habens furorem :/ ulciscens Dominus in hostes suos,/ et irascens ipse inimicis suis./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 2  ׃1   אל קנוא ונקם יהוה נקם יהוה ובעל חמה נקם יהוה לצריו ונוטר הוא לאיביו ‬ (Ⅴ)

L'Éternel est lent à la colère, il est grand par sa force; Il ne laisse pas impuni. L'Éternel marche dans la tempête, dans le tourbillon; Les nuées sont la poussière de ses pieds.
- The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. (Ⅱ)
- κύριος μακρόθυμος καὶ μεγάλη ἡ ἰσχὺς αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀθω̨ω̃ν οὐκ ἀθω̨ώσει κύριος ἐν συντελεία̨ καὶ ἐν συσσεισμω̨̃ ἡ ὁδὸς αὐτου̃ καὶ νεφέλαι κονιορτὸς ποδω̃ν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Dominus patiens, et magnus fortitudine,/ et mundans non faciet innocentem./ Dominus in tempestate et turbine viæ ejus,/ et nebulæ pulvis pedum ejus./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 3  ׃1   יהוה ארך אפים *וגדול **וגדל כח ונקה לא ינקה יהוה בסופה ובשערה דרכו וענן אבק רגליו ‬ (Ⅴ)

Il menace la mer et la dessèche, Il fait tarir tous les fleuves; Le Basan et le Carmel languissent, La fleur du Liban se flétrit.
- He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. (Ⅱ)
- ἀπειλω̃ν θαλάσση̨ καὶ ξηραίνων αὐτὴν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ποταμοὺς ἐξερημω̃ν ὠλιγώθη ἡ Βασανι̃τις καὶ ὁ Κάρμηλος καὶ τὰ ἐξανθου̃ντα του̃ Λιβάνου ἐξέλιπεν (Ⅲ)
- Increpans mare, et exsiccans illud,/ et omnia flumina ad desertum deducens./ Infirmatus est Basan et Carmelus,/ et flos Libani elanguit./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 4  ׃1   גוער בים ויבשהו וכל הנהרות החריב אמלל בשן וכרמל ופרח לבנון אמלל ‬ (Ⅴ)

Les montagnes s'ébranlent devant lui, Et les collines se fondent; La terre se soulève devant sa face, Le monde et tous ses habitants.
- The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. (Ⅱ)
- τὰ ὄρη ἐσείσθησαν ἀπ' αὐτου̃ καὶ οἱ βουνοὶ ἐσαλεύθησαν καὶ ἀνεστάλη ἡ γη̃ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτου̃ ἡ σύμπασα καὶ πάντες οἱ κατοικου̃ντες ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ)
- Montes commoti sunt ab eo,/ et colles desolati sunt :/ et contremuit terra a facie ejus,/ et orbis, et omnes habitantes in eo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 5  ׃1   הרים רעשו ממנו והגבעות התמגגו ותשא הארץ מפניו ותבל וכל ישבי בה ‬ (Ⅴ)

Qui résistera devant sa fureur? Qui tiendra contre son ardente colère? Sa fureur se répand comme le feu, Et les rochers se brisent devant lui.
- Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. (Ⅱ)
- ἀπὸ προσώπου ὀργη̃ς αὐτου̃ τίς ὑποστήσεται καὶ τίς ἀντιστήσεται ἐν ὀργη̨̃ θυμου̃ αὐτου̃ ὁ θυμὸς αὐτου̃ τήκει ἀρχάς καὶ αἱ πέτραι διεθρύβησαν ἀπ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ)
- Ante faciem indignationis ejus quis stabit ?/ et quis resistet in ira furoris ejus ?/ Indignatio ejus effusa est ut ignis,/ et petræ dissolutæ sunt ab eo./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 6  ׃1   לפני זעמו מי יעמוד ומי יקום בחרון אפו חמתו נתכה כאש והצרים נתצו ממנו ‬ (Ⅴ)

L'Éternel est bon, Il est un refuge au jour de la détresse; Il connaît ceux qui se confient en lui.
- The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. (Ⅱ)
- χρηστὸς κύριος τοι̃ς ὑπομένουσιν αὐτὸν ἐν ἡμέρα̨ θλίψεως καὶ γινώσκων τοὺς εὐλαβουμένους αὐτόν (Ⅲ)
- Bonus Dominus,/ et confortans in die tribulationis,/ et sciens sperantes in se./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 7  ׃1   טוב יהוה למעוז ביום צרה וידע חסי בו ‬ (Ⅴ)

Mais avec des flots qui déborderont Il détruira la ville, Et il poursuivra ses ennemis jusque dans les ténèbres.
- But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐν κατακλυσμω̨̃ πορείας συντέλειαν ποιήσεται τοὺς ἐπεγειρομένους καὶ τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτου̃ διώξεται σκότος (Ⅲ)
- Et in diluvio prætereunte consummationem faciet loci ejus,/ et inimicos ejus persequentur tenebræ./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 8  ׃1   ובשטף עבר כלה יעשה מקומה ואיביו ירדף חשך ‬ (Ⅴ)

Que méditez-vous contre l'Éternel? C'est lui qui détruit. La détresse ne paraîtra pas deux fois.
- What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. (Ⅱ)
- τί λογίζεσθε ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον συντέλειαν αὐτὸς ποιήσεται οὐκ ἐκδικήσει δὶς ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ ἐν θλίψει (Ⅲ)
- Quid cogitatis contra Dominum ?/ Consummationem ipse faciet :/ non consurget duplex tribulatio,/ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 9  ׃1   מה תחשבון אל יהוה כלה הוא עשה לא תקום פעמים צרה ‬ (Ⅴ)

Car entrelacés comme des épines, Et comme ivres de leur vin, Ils seront consumés Comme la paille sèche, entièrement.
- For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry. (Ⅱ)
- ὅτι ἕως θεμελίου αὐτω̃ν χερσωθήσεται καὶ ὡς σμι̃λαξ περιπλεκομένη βρωθήσεται καὶ ὡς καλάμη ξηρασίας μεστή (Ⅲ)
- quia sicut spinæ se invicem complectuntur,/ sic convivium eorum pariter potantium ;/ consumentur quasi stipula ariditate plena./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 10 ׃1   כי עד סירים סבכים וכסבאם סבואים אכלו כקש יבש מלא ‬ (Ⅴ)

De toi est sorti Celui qui méditait le mal contre l'Éternel, Celui qui avait de méchants desseins.
- There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor. (Ⅱ)
- ἐκ σου̃ ἐξελεύσεται λογισμὸς κατὰ του̃ κυρίου πονηρὰ λογιζόμενος ἐναντία (Ⅲ)
- Ex te exibit cogitans contra Dominum malitiam,/ mente pertractans prævaricationem./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 11 ׃1   ממך יצא חשב על יהוה רעה יעץ בליעל ס‬ (Ⅴ)

Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Quoique intacts et nombreux, Ils seront moissonnés et disparaîtront. Je veux t'humilier, Pour ne plus avoir à t'humilier...
- Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more. (Ⅱ)
- τάδε λέγει κύριος κατάρχων ὑδάτων πολλω̃ν καὶ οὕτως διασταλήσονται καὶ ἡ ἀκοή σου οὐκ ἐνακουσθήσεται ἔτι (Ⅲ)
- Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Si perfecti fuerint, et ita plures,/ sic quoque attondentur, et pertransibit :/ afflixi te, et non affligam te ultra./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 12 ׃1   כה אמר יהוה אם שלמים וכן רבים וכן נגזו ועבר וענתך לא אענך עוד ‬ (Ⅴ)

Je briserai maintenant son joug de dessus toi, Et je romprai tes liens...
- For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ νυ̃ν συντρίψω τὴν ῥάβδον αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ σου̃ καὶ τοὺς δεσμούς σου διαρρήξω (Ⅲ)
- Et nunc conteram virgam ejus de dorso tuo,/ et vincula tua disrumpam./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 13 ׃1   ועתה אשבר מטהו מעליך ומוסרתיך אנתק ‬ (Ⅴ)

Voici ce qu'a ordonné sur toi l'Éternel: Tu n'auras plus de descendants qui portent ton nom; J'enlèverai de la maison de ton dieu les images taillées ou en fonte; Je préparerai ton sépulcre, car tu es trop léger.
- And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐντελει̃ται ὑπὲρ σου̃ κύριος οὐ σπαρήσεται ἐκ του̃ ὀνόματός σου ἔτι ἐξ οἴκου θεου̃ σου ἐξολεθρεύσω τὰ γλυπτὰ καὶ χωνευτά θήσομαι ταφήν σου ὅτι ταχει̃ς (Ⅲ)
- Et præcipiet super te Dominus ;/ non seminabitur ex nomine tuo amplius :/ de domo Dei tui interficiam sculptile, et conflatile ;/ ponam sepulchrum tuum, quia inhonoratus es./ (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 14 ׃1   וצוה עליך יהוה לא יזרע משמך עוד מבית אלהיך אכרית פסל ומסכה אשים קברך כי קלות פ‬ (Ⅴ)

Voici sur les montagnes Les pieds du messager qui annonce la paix! Célèbre tes fêtes, Juda, accomplis tes voeux! Car le méchant ne passera plus au milieu de toi, Il est entièrement exterminé...
- Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off. (Ⅱ)
- ἰδοὺ ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη οἱ πόδες εὐαγγελιζομένου καὶ ἀπαγγέλλοντος εἰρήνην ἑόρταζε Ιουδα τὰς ἑορτάς σου ἀπόδος τὰς εὐχάς σου διότι οὐ μὴ προσθήσωσιν ἔτι του̃ διελθει̃ν διὰ σου̃ εἰς παλαίωσιν συντετέλεσται ἐξη̃ρται (Ⅲ)
- Ecce super montes pedes evangelizantis,/ et annuntiantis pacem./ Celebra, Juda, festivitates tuas,/ et redde vota tua,/ quia non adjiciet ultra ut pertranseat in te Belial :/ universus interiit.] (Ⅳ)
- ‫ 1  ׃2   הנה על ההרים רגלי מבשר משמיע שלום חגי יהודה חגיך שלמי נדריך כי לא יוסיף עוד *לעבור **לעבר בך בליעל כלה נכרת ‬ (Ⅴ)
