Καὶ ⸂νεανίσκος τις⸃ ⸀συνηκολούθει αὐτῷ περιβεβλημένος σινδόνα ἐπὶ γυμνοῦ, καὶ κρατοῦσιν ⸀αὐτόν,
- Un jeune homme le suivait, n'ayant sur le corps qu'un drap. On se saisit de lui; (Ⅱ) - And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: (Ⅲ) - Adolescens autem quidam sequebatur eum amictus sindone super nudo : et tenuerunt eum. (Ⅳ)

ὁ δὲ καταλιπὼν τὴν σινδόνα γυμνὸς ⸀ἔφυγεν.
- mais il lâcha son vêtement, et se sauva tout nu. (Ⅱ) - And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked. (Ⅲ) - At ille rejecta sindone, nudus profugit ab eis.\ (Ⅳ)

Καὶ ἀπήγαγον τὸν Ἰησοῦν πρὸς τὸν ἀρχιερέα, καὶ ⸀συνέρχονται πάντες οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς.
- Ils emmenèrent Jésus chez le souverain sacrificateur, où s'assemblèrent tous les principaux sacrificateurs, les anciens et les scribes. (Ⅱ) - And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. (Ⅲ) - Et adduxerunt Jesum ad summum sacerdotem : et convenerunt omnes sacerdotes, et scribæ, et seniores. (Ⅳ)

καὶ ὁ Πέτρος ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ ἕως ἔσω εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως καὶ ἦν συγκαθήμενος μετὰ τῶν ὑπηρετῶν καὶ θερμαινόμενος πρὸς τὸ φῶς.
- Pierre le suivit de loin jusque dans l'intérieur de la cour du souverain sacrificateur; il s'assit avec les serviteurs, et il se chauffait près du feu. (Ⅱ) - And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire. (Ⅲ) - Petrus autem a longe secutus est eum usque intro in atrium summi sacerdotis : et sedebat cum ministris ad ignem, et calefaciebat se. (Ⅳ)

οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ ὅλον τὸ συνέδριον ἐζήτουν κατὰ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ μαρτυρίαν εἰς τὸ θανατῶσαι αὐτόν, καὶ οὐχ ηὕρισκον·
- Les principaux sacrificateurs et tout le sanhédrin cherchaient un témoignage contre Jésus, pour le faire mourir, et ils n'en trouvaient point; (Ⅱ) - And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none. (Ⅲ) - Summi vero sacerdotes et omne concilium quærebant adversus Jesum testimonium ut eum morti traderent : nec inveniebant. (Ⅳ)

πολλοὶ γὰρ ἐψευδομαρτύρουν κατ’ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἴσαι αἱ μαρτυρίαι οὐκ ἦσαν.
- car plusieurs rendaient de faux témoignages contre lui, mais les témoignages ne s'accordaient pas. (Ⅱ) - For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together. (Ⅲ) - Multi enim testimonium falsum dicebant adversus eum : et convenientia testimonia non erant. (Ⅳ)

καί τινες ἀναστάντες ἐψευδομαρτύρουν κατ’ αὐτοῦ λέγοντες
- Quelques-uns se levèrent, et portèrent un faux témoignage contre lui, disant: (Ⅱ) - And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying, (Ⅲ) - Et quidam surgentes, falsum testimonium ferebant adversus eum, dicentes : (Ⅳ)

ὅτι Ἡμεῖς ἠκούσαμεν αὐτοῦ λέγοντος ὅτι Ἐγὼ καταλύσω τὸν ναὸν τοῦτον τὸν χειροποίητον καὶ διὰ τριῶν ἡμερῶν ἄλλον ἀχειροποίητον οἰκοδομήσω·
- Nous l'avons entendu dire: Je détruirai ce temple fait de main d'homme, et en trois jours j'en bâtirai un autre qui ne sera pas fait de main d'homme. (Ⅱ) - We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands. (Ⅲ) - Quoniam nos audivimus eum dicentem : Ego dissolvam templum hoc manu factum, et per triduum aliud non manu factum ædificabo. (Ⅳ)

καὶ οὐδὲ οὕτως ἴση ἦν ἡ μαρτυρία αὐτῶν.
- Même sur ce point-là leur témoignage ne s'accordait pas. (Ⅱ) - But neither so did their witness agree together. (Ⅲ) - Et non erat conveniens testimonium illorum. (Ⅳ)

καὶ ἀναστὰς ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς εἰς μέσον ἐπηρώτησεν τὸν Ἰησοῦν λέγων· Οὐκ ἀποκρίνῃ οὐδέν; τί οὗτοί σου καταμαρτυροῦσιν;
- Alors le souverain sacrificateur, se levant au milieu de l'assemblée, interrogea Jésus, et dit: Ne réponds-tu rien? Qu'est-ce que ces gens déposent contre toi? (Ⅱ) - And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? (Ⅲ) - Et exsurgens summus sacerdos in medium, interrogavit Jesum, dicens : Non respondes quidquam ad ea quæ tibi objiciuntur ab his ? (Ⅳ)

ὁ δὲ ἐσιώπα καὶ ⸂οὐκ ἀπεκρίνατο οὐδέν⸃. πάλιν ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς ἐπηρώτα αὐτὸν καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστὸς ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ εὐλογητοῦ;
- Jésus garda le silence, et ne répondit rien. Le souverain sacrificateur l'interrogea de nouveau, et lui dit: Es-tu le Christ, le Fils du Dieu béni? (Ⅱ) - But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? (Ⅲ) - Ille autem tacebat, et nihil respondit. Rursum summus sacerdos interrogabat eum, et dixit ei : Tu es Christus Filius Dei benedicti ? (Ⅳ)

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· Ἐγώ εἰμι, καὶ ὄψεσθε τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκ δεξιῶν καθήμενον τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ ἐρχόμενον μετὰ τῶν νεφελῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ.
- Jésus répondit: Je le suis. Et vous verrez le Fils de l'homme assis à la droite de la puissance de Dieu, et venant sur les nuées du ciel. (Ⅱ) - And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. (Ⅲ) - Jesus autem dixit illi : Ego sum : et videbitis Filium hominis sedentem a dextris virtutis Dei, et venientem cum nubibus cæli. (Ⅳ)

ὁ δὲ ἀρχιερεὺς διαρρήξας τοὺς χιτῶνας αὐτοῦ λέγει· Τί ἔτι χρείαν ἔχομεν μαρτύρων;
- Alors le souverain sacrificateur déchira ses vêtements, et dit: Qu'avons-nous encore besoin de témoins? (Ⅱ) - Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? (Ⅲ) - Summus autem sacerdos scindens vestimenta sua, ait : Quid adhuc desideramus testes ? (Ⅳ)

ἠκούσατε τῆς βλασφημίας· τί ὑμῖν φαίνεται; οἱ δὲ πάντες κατέκριναν αὐτὸν ⸂ἔνοχον εἶναι⸃ θανάτου.
- Vous avez entendu le blasphème. Que vous en semble? Tous le condamnèrent comme méritant la mort. (Ⅱ) - Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. (Ⅲ) - Audistis blasphemiam : quid vobis videtur ? Qui omnes condemnaverunt eum esse reum mortis. (Ⅳ)

καὶ ἤρξαντό τινες ἐμπτύειν αὐτῷ καὶ περικαλύπτειν ⸂αὐτοῦ τὸ πρόσωπον⸃ καὶ κολαφίζειν αὐτὸν καὶ λέγειν αὐτῷ· Προφήτευσον, καὶ οἱ ὑπηρέται ῥαπίσμασιν αὐτὸν ⸀ἔλαβον.
- Et quelques-uns se mirent à cracher sur lui, à lui voiler le visage et à le frapper à coups de poing, en lui disant: Devine! Et les serviteurs le reçurent en lui donnant des soufflets. (Ⅱ) - And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands. (Ⅲ) - Et cœperunt quidam conspuere eum, et velare faciem ejus, et colaphis eum cædere, et dicere ei : Prophetiza : et ministri alapis eum cædebant.\ (Ⅳ)

Καὶ ὄντος τοῦ Πέτρου ⸂κάτω ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ⸃ ἔρχεται μία τῶν παιδισκῶν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως,
- Pendant que Pierre était en bas dans la cour, il vint une des servantes du souverain sacrificateur. (Ⅱ) - And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: (Ⅲ) - Et cum esset Petrus in atrio deorsum, venit una ex ancillis summi sacerdotis : (Ⅳ)

καὶ ἰδοῦσα τὸν Πέτρον θερμαινόμενον ἐμβλέψασα αὐτῷ λέγει· Καὶ σὺ μετὰ τοῦ Ναζαρηνοῦ ⸂ἦσθα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ⸃·
- Voyant Pierre qui se chauffait, elle le regarda, et lui dit: Toi aussi, tu étais avec Jésus de Nazareth. (Ⅱ) - And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth. (Ⅲ) - et cum vidisset Petrum calefacientem se, aspiciens illum, ait : Et tu cum Jesu Nazareno eras. (Ⅳ)

ὁ δὲ ἠρνήσατο λέγων· ⸂Οὔτε οἶδα οὔτε ἐπίσταμαι σὺ τί⸃ λέγεις, καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἔξω εἰς τὸ προαύλιον ⸂καὶ ἀλέκτωρ ἐφώνησεν⸃.
- Il le nia, disant: Je ne sais pas, je ne comprends pas ce que tu veux dire. Puis il sortit pour aller dans le vestibule. Et le coq chanta. (Ⅱ) - But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew. (Ⅲ) - At ille negavit, dicens : Neque scio, neque novi quid dicas. Et exiit foras ante atrium, et gallus cantavit. (Ⅳ)

καὶ ἡ παιδίσκη ἰδοῦσα αὐτὸν ⸂ἤρξατο πάλιν⸃ λέγειν τοῖς ⸀παρεστῶσιν ὅτι Οὗτος ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐστιν.
- La servante, l'ayant vu, se mit de nouveau à dire à ceux qui étaient présents: Celui-ci est de ces gens-là. Et il le nia de nouveau. (Ⅱ) - And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. (Ⅲ) - Rursus autem cum vidisset illum ancilla, cœpit dicere circumstantibus : Quia hic ex illis est. (Ⅳ)

ὁ δὲ πάλιν ἠρνεῖτο. καὶ μετὰ μικρὸν πάλιν οἱ παρεστῶτες ἔλεγον τῷ Πέτρῳ· Ἀληθῶς ἐξ αὐτῶν εἶ, καὶ γὰρ Γαλιλαῖος εἶ ⸂καὶ ἡ λαλιά σου ὁμοιάζει⸃·
- Peu après, ceux qui étaient présents dirent encore à Pierre: Certainement tu es de ces gens-là, car tu es Galiléen. (Ⅱ) - And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto. (Ⅲ) - At ille iterum negavit. Et post pusillum rursus qui astabant, dicebant Petro : Vere ex illis es : nam et Galilæus es. (Ⅳ)

ὁ δὲ ἤρξατο ἀναθεματίζειν καὶ ὀμνύναι ὅτι Οὐκ οἶδα τὸν ἄνθρωπον τοῦτον ὃν λέγετε.
- Alors il commença à faire des imprécations et à jurer: Je ne connais pas cet homme dont vous parlez. (Ⅱ) - But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak. (Ⅲ) - Ille autem cœpit anathematizare et jurare : Quia nescio hominem istum, quem dicitis. (Ⅳ)

καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐκ δευτέρου ἀλέκτωρ ἐφώνησεν· καὶ ἀνεμνήσθη ὁ Πέτρος τὸ ῥῆμα ⸀ὡς εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι Πρὶν ἀλέκτορα ⸂φωνῆσαι δὶς τρίς με ἀπαρνήσῃ⸃, καὶ ἐπιβαλὼν ἔκλαιεν.
- Aussitôt, pour la seconde fois, le coq chanta. Et Pierre se souvint de la parole que Jésus lui avait dite: Avant que le coq chante deux fois, tu me renieras trois fois. Et en y réfléchissant, il pleurait. (Ⅱ) - And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept. (Ⅲ) - Et statim gallus iterum cantavit. Et recordatus est Petrus verbi quod dixerat ei Jesus : Priusquam gallus cantet bis, ter me negabis. Et cœpit flere. (Ⅳ)
