et inveniens quemdam Judæum nomine Aquilam, Ponticum genere, qui nuper venerat ab Italia, et Priscillam uxorem ejus (eo quod præcepisset Claudius discedere omnes Judæos a Roma), accessit ad eos.
- Il y trouva un Juif nommé Aquilas, originaire du Pont, récemment arrivé d'Italie avec sa femme Priscille, parce que Claude avait ordonné à tous les Juifs de sortir de Rome. Il se lia avec eux; (Ⅱ) - And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εὑρών τινα Ἰουδαῖον ὀνόματι Ἀκύλαν, Ποντικὸν τῷ γένει, προσφάτως ἐληλυθότα ἀπὸ τῆς Ἰταλίας καὶ Πρίσκιλλαν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ διὰ τὸ ⸀διατεταχέναι Κλαύδιον χωρίζεσθαι πάντας τοὺς Ἰουδαίους ⸀ἀπὸ τῆς Ῥώμης, προσῆλθεν αὐτοῖς, (Ⅳ)

Et quia ejusdem erat artis, manebat apud eos, et operabatur. (Erant autem scenofactoriæ artis.)
- et, comme il avait le même métier, il demeura chez eux et y travailla: ils étaient faiseurs de tentes. (Ⅱ) - And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. Et disputabat in synagoga per omne sabbatum, interponens nomen Domini Jesu : suadebatque Judæis et Græcis.
- Paul discourait dans la synagogue chaque sabbat, et il persuadait des Juifs et des Grecs. (Ⅱ) - And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. (Ⅲ) - διελέγετο δὲ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ κατὰ πᾶν σάββατον, ἔπειθέν τε Ἰουδαίους καὶ Ἕλληνας. (Ⅳ)

Cum venissent autem de Macedonia Silas et Timotheus, instabat verbo Paulus, testificans Judæis esse Christum Jesum.
- Mais quand Silas et Timothée furent arrivés de la Macédoine, il se donna tout entier à la parole, attestant aux Juifs que Jésus était le Christ. (Ⅱ) - And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ. (Ⅲ) - Ὡς δὲ κατῆλθον ἀπὸ τῆς Μακεδονίας ὅ τε Σιλᾶς καὶ ὁ Τιμόθεος, συνείχετο τῷ ⸀λόγῳ ὁ Παῦλος, διαμαρτυρόμενος τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις ⸀εἶναι τὸν χριστὸν Ἰησοῦν. (Ⅳ)

Contradicentibus autem eis, et blasphemantibus, excutiens vestimenta sua, dixit ad eos : Sanguis vester super caput vestrum : mundus ego : ex hoc ad gentes vadam.
- Les Juifs faisant alors de l'opposition et se livrant à des injures, Paul secoua ses vêtements, et leur dit: Que votre sang retombe sur votre tête! J'en suis pur. Dès maintenant, j'irai vers les païens. (Ⅱ) - And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. (Ⅲ) - ἀντιτασσομένων δὲ αὐτῶν καὶ βλασφημούντων ἐκτιναξάμενος τὰ ἱμάτια εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς· Τὸ αἷμα ὑμῶν ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν ὑμῶν· καθαρὸς ἐγώ· ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν εἰς τὰ ἔθνη πορεύσομαι. (Ⅳ)

Et migrans inde, intravit in domum cujusdam, nomine Titi Justi, colentis Deum, cujus domus erat conjuncta synagogæ.
- Et sortant de là, il entra chez un nommé Justus, homme craignant Dieu, et dont la maison était contiguë à la synagogue. (Ⅱ) - And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue. (Ⅲ) - καὶ μεταβὰς ἐκεῖθεν ⸀εἰσῆλθεν εἰς οἰκίαν τινὸς ὀνόματι ⸀Τιτίου Ἰούστου σεβομένου τὸν θεόν, οὗ ἡ οἰκία ἦν συνομοροῦσα τῇ συναγωγῇ. (Ⅳ)

Crispus autem archisynagogus credidit Domino cum omni domo sua : et multi Corinthiorum audientes credebant, et baptizabantur.
- Cependant Crispus, le chef de la synagogue, crut au Seigneur avec toute sa famille. Et plusieurs Corinthiens, qui avaient entendu Paul, crurent aussi, et furent baptisés. (Ⅱ) - And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized. (Ⅲ) - Κρίσπος δὲ ὁ ἀρχισυνάγωγος ἐπίστευσεν τῷ κυρίῳ σὺν ὅλῳ τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ, καὶ πολλοὶ τῶν Κορινθίων ἀκούοντες ἐπίστευον καὶ ἐβαπτίζοντο. (Ⅳ)

Dixit autem Dominus nocte per visionem Paulo : Noli timere, sed loquere, et ne taceas :
- Le Seigneur dit à Paul en vision pendant la nuit: Ne crains point; mais parle, et ne te tais point, (Ⅱ) - Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: (Ⅲ) - εἶπεν δὲ ὁ κύριος ⸂ἐν νυκτὶ δι’ ὁράματος⸃ τῷ Παύλῳ· Μὴ φοβοῦ, ἀλλὰ λάλει καὶ μὴ σιωπήσῃς, (Ⅳ)

propter quod ego sum tecum, et nemo apponetur tibi ut noceat te : quoniam populus est mihi multus in hac civitate.
- Car je suis avec toi, et personne ne mettra la main sur toi pour te faire du mal: parle, car j'ai un peuple nombreux dans cette ville. (Ⅱ) - For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city. (Ⅲ) - διότι ἐγώ εἰμι μετὰ σοῦ καὶ οὐδεὶς ἐπιθήσεταί σοι τοῦ κακῶσαί σε, διότι λαός ἐστί μοι πολὺς ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ. (Ⅳ)

Sedit autem ibi annum et sex menses, docens apud eos verbum Dei.\
- Il y demeura un an et six mois, enseignant parmi les Corinthiens la parole de Dieu. (Ⅱ) - And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. (Ⅲ) - ἐκάθισεν ⸀δὲ ἐνιαυτὸν καὶ μῆνας ἓξ διδάσκων ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ. (Ⅳ)

Gallione autem proconsule Achaiæ, insurrexerunt uno animo Judæi in Paulum, et adduxerunt eum ad tribunal,
- Du temps que Gallion était proconsul de l'Achaïe, les Juifs se soulevèrent unanimement contre Paul, et le menèrent devant le tribunal, (Ⅱ) - And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat, (Ⅲ) - Γαλλίωνος δὲ ⸂ἀνθυπάτου ὄντος⸃ τῆς Ἀχαΐας κατεπέστησαν ⸂ὁμοθυμαδὸν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι⸃ τῷ Παύλῳ καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ βῆμα, (Ⅳ)

Incipiente autem Paulo aperire os, dixit Gallio ad Judæos : Si quidem esset iniquum aliquid aut facinus pessimum, o viri Judæi, recte vos sustinerem.
- Paul allait ouvrir la bouche, lorsque Gallion dit aux Juifs: S'il s'agissait de quelque injustice ou de quelque méchante action, je vous écouterais comme de raison, ô Juifs; (Ⅱ) - And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you: (Ⅲ) - μέλλοντος δὲ τοῦ Παύλου ἀνοίγειν τὸ στόμα εἶπεν ὁ Γαλλίων πρὸς τοὺς Ἰουδαίους· Εἰ ⸀μὲν ἦν ἀδίκημά τι ἢ ῥᾳδιούργημα πονηρόν, ὦ Ἰουδαῖοι, κατὰ λόγον ἂν ἀνεσχόμην ὑμῶν· (Ⅳ)

Si vero quæstiones sunt de verbo, et nominibus, et lege vestra, vos ipsi videritis : judex ego horum nolo esse.
- mais, s'il s'agit de discussions sur une parole, sur des noms, et sur votre loi, cela vous regarde: je ne veux pas être juge de ces choses. (Ⅱ) - But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters. (Ⅲ) - εἰ δὲ ⸀ζητήματά ἐστιν περὶ λόγου καὶ ὀνομάτων καὶ νόμου τοῦ καθ’ ὑμᾶς, ὄψεσθε αὐτοί· ⸀κριτὴς ἐγὼ τούτων οὐ βούλομαι εἶναι. (Ⅳ)

- Et il les renvoya du tribunal. (Ⅱ) - And he drave them from the judgment seat. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀπήλασεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ βήματος. (Ⅳ)

Apprehendentes autem omnes Sosthenem principem synagogæ, percutiebant eum ante tribunal : et nihil eorum Gallioni curæ erat.\
- Alors tous, se saisissant de Sosthène, le chef de la synagogue, le battirent devant le tribunal, sans que Gallion s'en mît en peine. (Ⅱ) - Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things. (Ⅲ) - ἐπιλαβόμενοι δὲ ⸀πάντες Σωσθένην τὸν ἀρχισυνάγωγον ἔτυπτον ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ βήματος· καὶ οὐδὲν τούτων τῷ Γαλλίωνι ⸀ἔμελεν. (Ⅳ)

Paulus vero cum adhuc sustinuisset dies multos fratribus valefaciens, navigavit in Syriam (et cum eo Priscilla et Aquila), qui sibi totonderat in Cenchris caput : habebat enim votum.
- Paul resta encore assez longtemps à Corinthe. Ensuite il prit congé des frères, et s'embarqua pour la Syrie, avec Priscille et Aquilas, après s'être fait raser la tête à Cenchrées, car il avait fait un voeu. (Ⅱ) - And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow. (Ⅲ) - Ὁ δὲ Παῦλος ἔτι προσμείνας ἡμέρας ἱκανὰς τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς ἀποταξάμενος ἐξέπλει εἰς τὴν Συρίαν, καὶ σὺν αὐτῷ Πρίσκιλλα καὶ Ἀκύλας, κειράμενος ⸂ἐν Κεγχρεαῖς τὴν κεφαλήν⸃, εἶχεν γὰρ εὐχήν. (Ⅳ)

Devenitque Ephesum, et illos ibi reliquit. Ipse vero ingressus synagogam, disputabat cum Judæis.
- Ils arrivèrent à Éphèse, et Paul y laissa ses compagnons. Étant entré dans la synagogue, il s'entretint avec les Juifs, (Ⅱ) - And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews. (Ⅲ) - ⸀κατήντησαν δὲ εἰς Ἔφεσον, κἀκείνους κατέλιπεν αὐτοῦ, αὐτὸς δὲ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὴν συναγωγὴν ⸀διελέξατο τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις. (Ⅳ)

Rogantibus autem eis ut ampliori tempore maneret, non consensit,
- qui le prièrent de prolonger son séjour. (Ⅱ) - When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not; (Ⅲ) - ἐρωτώντων δὲ αὐτῶν ἐπὶ πλείονα χρόνον ⸀μεῖναι οὐκ ἐπένευσεν, (Ⅳ)

sed valefaciens, et dicens : Iterum revertar ad vos, Deo volente : profectus est ab Epheso.
- Mais il n'y consentit point, et il prit congé d'eux, en disant: Il faut absolument que je célèbre la fête prochaine à Jérusalem. Je reviendrai vers vous, si Dieu le veut. Et il partit d'Éphèse. (Ⅱ) - But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus. (Ⅲ) - ⸂ἀλλὰ ἀποταξάμενος καὶ⸃ ⸀εἰπών· ⸀Πάλιν ἀνακάμψω πρὸς ὑμᾶς τοῦ θεοῦ θέλοντος ἀνήχθη ἀπὸ τῆς Ἐφέσου, (Ⅳ)

- Étant débarqué à Césarée, il monta à Jérusalem, et, après avoir salué l'Église, il descendit à Antioche. (Ⅱ) - And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch. (Ⅲ) - καὶ κατελθὼν εἰς Καισάρειαν, ἀναβὰς καὶ ἀσπασάμενος τὴν ἐκκλησίαν, κατέβη εἰς Ἀντιόχειαν, (Ⅳ)

Et facto ibi aliquanto tempore profectus est, perambulans ex ordine Galaticam regionem, et Phrygiam, confirmans omnes discipulos.
- Lorsqu'il eut passé quelque temps à Antioche, Paul se mit en route, et parcourut successivement la Galatie et la Phrygie, fortifiant tous les disciples. (Ⅱ) - And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ποιήσας χρόνον τινὰ ἐξῆλθεν, διερχόμενος καθεξῆς τὴν Γαλατικὴν χώραν καὶ Φρυγίαν, ⸀στηρίζων πάντας τοὺς μαθητάς. (Ⅳ)

Judæus autem quidam, Apollo nomine, Alexandrinus genere, vir eloquens, devenit Ephesum, potens in scripturis.
- Un Juif nommé Apollos, originaire d'Alexandrie, homme éloquent et versé dans les Écritures, vint à Éphèse. (Ⅱ) - And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. (Ⅲ) - Ἰουδαῖος δέ τις Ἀπολλῶς ὀνόματι, Ἀλεξανδρεὺς τῷ γένει, ἀνὴρ λόγιος, κατήντησεν εἰς Ἔφεσον, δυνατὸς ὢν ἐν ταῖς γραφαῖς. (Ⅳ)

Hic erat edoctus viam Domini : et fervens spiritu loquebatur, et docebat diligenter ea quæ sunt Jesu, sciens tantum baptisma Joannis.
- Il était instruit dans la voie du Seigneur, et, fervent d'esprit, il annonçait et enseignait avec exactitude ce qui concerne Jésus, bien qu'il ne connût que le baptême de Jean. (Ⅱ) - This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. (Ⅲ) - οὗτος ἦν κατηχημένος τὴν ὁδὸν τοῦ κυρίου, καὶ ζέων τῷ πνεύματι ἐλάλει καὶ ἐδίδασκεν ἀκριβῶς τὰ περὶ τοῦ ⸀Ἰησοῦ, ἐπιστάμενος μόνον τὸ βάπτισμα Ἰωάννου. (Ⅳ)

Hic ergo cœpit fiducialiter agere in synagoga. Quem cum audissent Priscilla et Aquila, assumpserunt eum, et diligentius exposuerunt ei viam Domini.
- Il se mit à parler librement dans la synagogue. Aquilas et Priscille, l'ayant entendu, le prirent avec eux, et lui exposèrent plus exactement la voie de Dieu. (Ⅱ) - And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. (Ⅲ) - οὗτός τε ἤρξατο παρρησιάζεσθαι ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ· ἀκούσαντες δὲ αὐτοῦ ⸂Πρίσκιλλα καὶ Ἀκύλας⸃ προσελάβοντο αὐτὸν καὶ ἀκριβέστερον αὐτῷ ἐξέθεντο τὴν ⸂ὁδὸν τοῦ θεοῦ⸃. (Ⅳ)

Cum autem vellet ire Achaiam, exhortati fratres, scripserunt discipulis ut susciperent eum. Qui cum venisset, contulit multum his qui crediderant.
- Comme il voulait passer en Achaïe, les frères l'y encouragèrent, et écrivirent aux disciples de le bien recevoir. Quand il fut arrivé, il se rendit, par la grâce de Dieu, très utile à ceux qui avaient cru; (Ⅱ) - And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace: (Ⅲ) - βουλομένου δὲ αὐτοῦ διελθεῖν εἰς τὴν Ἀχαΐαν προτρεψάμενοι οἱ ἀδελφοὶ ἔγραψαν τοῖς μαθηταῖς ἀποδέξασθαι αὐτόν· ὃς παραγενόμενος συνεβάλετο πολὺ τοῖς πεπιστευκόσιν διὰ τῆς χάριτος· (Ⅳ)

Vehementer enim Judæos revincebat publice, ostendens per Scripturas esse Christum Jesum.
- Car il réfutait vivement les Juifs en public, démontrant par les Écritures que Jésus est le Christ. (Ⅱ) - For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ. (Ⅲ) - εὐτόνως γὰρ τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις διακατηλέγχετο δημοσίᾳ ἐπιδεικνὺς διὰ τῶν γραφῶν εἶναι τὸν χριστὸν Ἰησοῦν. (Ⅳ)
