Les hommes d'Israël avaient juré à Mitspa, en disant: Aucun de nous ne donnera sa fille pour femme à un Benjamite.
- Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpeh, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter unto Benjamin to wife. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ὤμοσαν ἐν Μασσηφα λέγοντες ἀνὴρ ἐξ ἡμω̃ν οὐ δώσει θυγατέρα αὐτου̃ τω̨̃ Βενιαμιν εἰς γυναι̃κα (Ⅲ) - Juraverunt quoque filii Israël in Maspha, et dixerunt : Nullus nostrum dabit filiis Benjamin de filiabus suis uxorem. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃21 ואיש ישראל נשבע במצפה לאמר איש ממנו לא יתן בתו לבנימן לאשה (Ⅴ)

Le peuple vint à Béthel, et il y resta devant Dieu jusqu'au soir. Ils élevèrent la voix, ils versèrent d'abondantes larmes,
- And the people came to the house of God, and abode there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore; (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃λθεν ὁ λαὸς εἰς Βαιθηλ καὶ ἐκάθισαν ἐκει̃ ἕως ἑσπέρας ἐνώπιον του̃ θεου̃ καὶ ἠ̃ραν φωνὴν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἔκλαυσαν κλαυθμὸν μέγαν (Ⅲ) - Veneruntque omnes ad domum Dei in Silo, et in conspectu ejus sedentes usque ad vesperam, levaverunt vocem, et magno ululatu cœperunt flere, dicentes : (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃21 ויבא העם בית אל וישבו שם עד הערב לפני האלהים וישאו קולם ויבכו בכי גדול (Ⅴ)

et ils dirent: O Éternel, Dieu d'Israël, pourquoi est-il arrivé en Israël qu'il manque aujourd'hui une tribu d'Israël?
- And said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃παν εἰς τί κύριε θεὲ Ισραηλ ἐγενήθη αὕτη του̃ ἐπισκεπη̃ναι σήμερον ἀπὸ Ισραηλ φυλὴν μίαν (Ⅲ) - Quare, Domine Deus Israël, factum est hoc malum in populo tuo, ut hodie una tribus auferretur ex nobis ? (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃21 ויאמרו למה יהוה אלהי ישראל היתה זאת בישראל להפקד היום מישראל שבט אחד (Ⅴ)

Le lendemain, le peuple se leva de bon matin; ils bâtirent là un autel, et ils offrirent des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces.
- And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο τη̨̃ ἐπαύριον καὶ ὤρθρισεν ὁ λαὸς καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησαν ἐκει̃ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἀνήνεγκαν ὁλοκαυτώσεις καὶ τελείας (Ⅲ) - Altera autem die diluculo consurgentes, exstruxerunt altare : obtuleruntque ibi holocausta, et pacificas victimas, et dixerunt : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃21 ויהי ממחרת וישכימו העם ויבנו שם מזבח ויעלו עלות ושלמים פ (Ⅴ)

Les enfants d'Israël dirent: Quel est celui d'entre toutes les tribus d'Israël qui n'est pas monté à l'assemblée devant l'Éternel? Car on avait fait un serment solennel contre quiconque ne monterait pas vers l'Éternel à Mitspa, on avait dit: Il sera puni de mort.
- And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πον οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τίς οὐκ ἀνέβη ἐν τη̨̃ ἐκκλησία̨ ἀπὸ πασω̃ν φυλω̃ν Ισραηλ πρὸς κύριον ὅτι ὁ ὅρκος μέγας ἠ̃ν τοι̃ς οὐκ ἀναβεβηκόσιν πρὸς κύριον εἰς Μασσηφα λέγοντες θανάτω̨ θανατωθήσεται (Ⅲ) - Quis non ascendit in exercitu Domini de universis tribubus Israël ? grandi enim juramento se constrinxerant, cum essent in Maspha, interfici eos qui defuissent. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃21 ויאמרו בני ישראל מי אשר לא עלה בקהל מכל שבטי ישראל אל יהוה כי השבועה הגדולה היתה לאשר לא עלה אל יהוה המצפה לאמר מות יומת (Ⅴ)

Les enfants d'Israël éprouvaient du repentir au sujet de Benjamin, leur frère, et ils disaient: Aujourd'hui une tribu a été retranchée d'Israël.
- And the children of Israel repented them for Benjamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day. (Ⅱ) - καὶ παρεκλήθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ πρὸς Βενιαμιν ἀδελφὸν αὐτω̃ν καὶ εἰ̃παν ἐξεκόπη σήμερον φυλὴ μία ἀπὸ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Ductique pœnitentia filii Israël super fratre suo Benjamin, cœperunt dicere : Ablata est tribus una de Israël : (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃21 וינחמו בני ישראל אל בנימן אחיו ויאמרו נגדע היום שבט אחד מישראל (Ⅴ)

Que ferons-nous pour procurer des femmes à ceux qui ont survécu, puisque nous avons juré par l'Éternel de ne pas leur donner de nos filles pour femmes?
- How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have sworn by the LORD that we will not give them of our daughters to wives? (Ⅱ) - τί ποιήσωμεν αὐτοι̃ς τοι̃ς περισσοι̃ς τοι̃ς ὑπολειφθει̃σιν εἰς γυναι̃κας καὶ ἡμει̃ς ὠμόσαμεν ἐν κυρίω̨ του̃ μὴ δου̃ναι αὐτοι̃ς ἀπὸ τω̃ν θυγατέρων ἡμω̃ν εἰς γυναι̃κας (Ⅲ) - unde uxores accipient ? omnes enim in commune juravimus, non daturos nos his filias nostras. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃21 מה נעשה להם לנותרים לנשים ואנחנו נשבענו ביהוה לבלתי תת להם מבנותינו לנשים (Ⅴ)

Ils dirent donc: Y a-t-il quelqu'un d'entre les tribus d'Israël qui ne soit pas monté vers l'Éternel à Mitspa? Et voici, personne de Jabès en Galaad n'était venu au camp, à l'assemblée.
- And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabeshgilead to the assembly. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃παν τίς εἱ̃ς ἀπὸ φυλω̃ν Ισραηλ ὃς οὐκ ἀνέβη πρὸς κύριον εἰς Μασσηφα καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἠ̃λθεν ἀνὴρ εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν ἀπὸ Ιαβις Γαλααδ εἰς τὴν ἐκκλησίαν (Ⅲ) - Idcirco dixerunt : Quis est de universis tribubus Israël, qui non ascendit ad Dominum in Maspha ? Et ecce inventi sunt habitatores Jabes Galaad in illo exercitu non fuisse. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃21 ויאמרו מי אחד משבטי ישראל אשר לא עלה אל יהוה המצפה והנה לא בא איש אל המחנה מיביש גלעד אל הקהל (Ⅴ)

On fit le dénombrement du peuple, et il n'y avait là aucun des habitants de Jabès en Galaad.
- For the people were numbered, and, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead there. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπεσκέπη ὁ λαός καὶ οὐκ ἠ̃ν ἐκει̃ ἀνὴρ ἀπὸ οἰκούντων Ιαβις Γαλααδ (Ⅲ) - (Eo quoque tempore cum essent in Silo, nullus ex eis ibi repertus est.)\ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃21 ויתפקד העם והנה אין שם איש מיושבי יבש גלעד (Ⅴ)

Alors l'assemblée envoya contre eux douze mille soldats, en leur donnant cet ordre: Allez, et frappez du tranchant de l'épée les habitants de Jabès en Galaad, avec les femmes et les enfants.
- And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ἐκει̃ ἡ συναγωγὴ δώδεκα χιλιάδας ἀνδρω̃ν ἀπὸ υἱω̃ν τη̃ς δυνάμεως καὶ ἐνετείλαντο αὐτοι̃ς λέγοντες πορεύεσθε καὶ πατάξατε τοὺς οἰκου̃ντας Ιαβις Γαλααδ ἐν στόματι ῥομφαίας (Ⅲ) - Miserunt itaque decem millia viros robustissimos, et præceperunt eis : Ite, et percutite habitatores Jabes Galaad in ore gladii, tam uxores quam parvulos eorum. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃21 וישלחו שם העדה שנים עשר אלף איש מבני החיל ויצוו אותם לאמר לכו והכיתם את יושבי יבש גלעד לפי חרב והנשים והטף (Ⅴ)

Voici ce que vous ferez: vous dévouerez par interdit tout mâle et toute femme qui a connu la couche d'un homme.
- And this is the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man. (Ⅱ) - καὶ του̃το ποιήσετε πα̃ν ἄρσεν καὶ πα̃σαν γυναι̃κα εἰδυι̃αν κοίτην ἄρσενος ἀναθεματιει̃τε τὰς δὲ παρθένους περιποιήσεσθε καὶ ἐποίησαν οὕτως (Ⅲ) - Et hoc erit quod observare debebitis : omne generis masculini, et mulieres quæ cognoverunt viros, interficite ; virgines autem reservate. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃21 וזה הדבר אשר תעשו כל זכר וכל אשה ידעת משכב זכר תחרימו (Ⅴ)

Ils trouvèrent parmi les habitants de Jabès en Galaad quatre cents jeunes filles vierges qui n'avaient point connu d'homme en couchant avec lui, et ils les amenèrent dans le camp à Silo, qui est au pays de Canaan.
- And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εὑ̃ρον ἀπὸ οἰκούντων Ιαβις Γαλααδ τετρακοσίας νεάνιδας παρθένους αἵτινες οὐκ ἔγνωσαν ἄνδρα εἰς κοίτην ἄρσενος καὶ ἤνεγκαν αὐτὰς εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν εἰς Σηλων τὴν ἐν γη̨̃ Χανααν (Ⅲ) - Inventæque sunt de Jabes Galaad quadringentæ virgines, quæ nescierunt viri thorum : et adduxerunt eas ad castra in Silo, in terram Chanaan. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃21 וימצאו מיושבי יביש גלעד ארבע מאות נערה בתולה אשר לא ידעה איש למשכב זכר ויביאו אותם אל המחנה שלה אשר בארץ כנען ס (Ⅴ)

Toute l'assemblée envoya des messagers pour parler aux fils de Benjamin qui étaient au rocher de Rimmon, et pour leur annoncer la paix.
- And the whole congregation sent some to speak to the children of Benjamin that were in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπέστειλεν πα̃σα ἡ συναγωγὴ καὶ ἐλάλησαν πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Βενιαμιν ἐν τη̨̃ πέτρα̨ Ρεμμων καὶ ἐκάλεσαν αὐτοὺς εἰς εἰρήνην (Ⅲ) - Miseruntque nuntios ad filios Benjamin, qui erant in petra Remmon, et præceperunt eis, ut eos susciperent in pace. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃21 וישלחו כל העדה וידברו אל בני בנימן אשר בסלע רמון ויקראו להם שלום (Ⅴ)

En ce temps-là, les Benjamites revinrent, et on leur donna les femmes à qui l'on avait laissé la vie parmi les femmes de Jabès en Galaad. Mais il n'y en avait pas assez pour eux.
- And Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of Jabeshgilead: and yet so they sufficed them not. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν Βενιαμιν πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτοι̃ς οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὰς γυναι̃κας ἃς ἐζωοποίησαν ἀπὸ τω̃ν θυγατέρων Ιαβις Γαλααδ καὶ ἤρεσεν αὐτοι̃ς οὕτως (Ⅲ) - Veneruntque filii Benjamin in illo tempore, et datæ sunt eis uxores de filiabus Jabes Galaad : alias autem non repererunt, quas simili modo traderent. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃21 וישב בנימן בעת ההיא ויתנו להם הנשים אשר חיו מנשי יבש גלעד ולא מצאו להם כן (Ⅴ)

Le peuple éprouvait du repentir au sujet de Benjamin, car l'Éternel avait fait une brèche dans les tribus d'Israël.
- And the people repented them for Benjamin, because that the LORD had made a breach in the tribes of Israel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὁ λαὸς παρεκλήθη ἐπὶ τω̨̃ Βενιαμιν ὅτι ἐποίησεν κύριος διακοπὴν ἐν ται̃ς φυλαι̃ς Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Universusque Israël valde doluit, et egit pœnitentiam super interfectione unius tribus ex Israël.\ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃21 והעם נחם לבנימן כי עשה יהוה פרץ בשבטי ישראל (Ⅴ)

Les anciens de l'assemblée dirent: Que ferons-nous pour procurer des femmes à ceux qui restent, puisque les femmes de Benjamin ont été détruites?
- Then the elders of the congregation said, How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are destroyed out of Benjamin? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πον οἱ πρεσβύτεροι τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς τί ποιήσωμεν τοι̃ς περισσοι̃ς εἰς γυναι̃κας ὅτι ἠφανίσθη ἀπὸ Βενιαμιν γυνή (Ⅲ) - Dixeruntque majores natu : Quid faciemus reliquis, qui non acceperunt uxores ? omnes in Benjamin feminæ conciderunt, (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃21 ויאמרו זקני העדה מה נעשה לנותרים לנשים כי נשמדה מבנימן אשה (Ⅴ)

Et ils dirent: Que les réchappés de Benjamin conservent leur héritage, afin qu'une tribu ne soit pas effacée d'Israël.
- And they said, There must be an inheritance for them that be escaped of Benjamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃παν κληρονομία διασω̨ζομένων τω̨̃ Βενιαμιν καὶ οὐκ ἐξαλειφθήσεται φυλὴ ἀπὸ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - et magna nobis cura, ingentique studio providendum est, ne una tribus deleatur ex Israël. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃21 ויאמרו ירשת פליטה לבנימן ולא ימחה שבט מישראל (Ⅴ)

Mais nous ne pouvons pas leur donner de nos filles pour femmes, car les enfants d'Israël ont juré, en disant: Maudit soit celui qui donnera une femme à un Benjamite!
- Howbeit we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that giveth a wife to Benjamin. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ἡμει̃ς οὐ δυνησόμεθα δου̃ναι αὐτοι̃ς γυναι̃κας ἀπὸ τω̃ν θυγατέρων ἡμω̃ν ὅτι ὠμόσαμεν ἐν υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ λέγοντες ἐπικατάρατος ὁ διδοὺς γυναι̃κα τω̨̃ Βενιαμιν (Ⅲ) - Filias enim nostras eis dare non possumus, constricti juramento et maledictione qua diximus : Maledictus qui dederit de filiabus suis uxorem Benjamin. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃21 ואנחנו לא נוכל לתת להם נשים מבנותינו כי נשבעו בני ישראל לאמר ארור נתן אשה לבנימן ס (Ⅴ)

Et ils dirent: Voici, il y a chaque année une fête de l'Éternel à Silo, qui est au nord de Béthel, à l'orient de la route qui monte de Béthel, à Sichem, et au midi de Lebona.
- Then they said, Behold, there is a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃παν ἰδοὺ δὴ ἑορτὴ κυρίου ἐν Σηλων ἀφ' ἡμερω̃ν εἰς ἡμέρας ἥ ἐστιν ἀπὸ βορρα̃ τη̃ς Βαιθηλ κατ' ἀνατολὰς ἡλίου ἐπὶ τη̃ς ὁδου̃ τη̃ς ἀναβαινούσης ἀπὸ Βαιθηλ εἰς Συχεμ καὶ ἀπὸ νότου τη̃ς Λεβωνα (Ⅲ) - Ceperuntque consilium, atque dixerunt : Ecce solemnitas Domini est in Silo anniversaria, quæ sita est ad septentrionem urbis Bethel, et ad orientalem plagam viæ, quæ de Bethel tendit ad Sichimam, et ad meridiem oppidi Lebona. (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃21 ויאמרו הנה חג יהוה בשלו מימים ימימה אשר מצפונה לבית אל מזרחה השמש למסלה העלה מבית אל שכמה ומנגב ללבונה (Ⅴ)

Puis ils donnèrent cet ordre aux fils de Benjamin: Allez, et placez-vous en embuscade dans les vignes.
- Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards; (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐνετείλαντο τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Βενιαμιν λέγοντες πορεύεσθε ἐνεδρεύσατε ἐν τοι̃ς ἀμπελω̃σιν (Ⅲ) - Præceperuntque filiis Benjamin, atque dixerunt : Ite, et latitate in vineis. (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃21 *ויצו **ויצוו את בני בנימן לאמר לכו וארבתם בכרמים (Ⅴ)

Vous regarderez, et voici, lorsque les filles de Silo sortiront pour danser, vous sortirez des vignes, vous enlèverez chacun une des filles de Silo pour en faire votre femme, et vous vous en irez dans le pays de Benjamin.
- And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὄψεσθε καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐὰν ἐξέλθωσιν αἱ θυγατέρες τω̃ν οἰκούντων Σηλων χορεύειν ἐν τοι̃ς χοροι̃ς καὶ ἐξελεύσεσθε ἐκ τω̃ν ἀμπελώνων καὶ ἁρπάσατε ἑαυτοι̃ς ἀνὴρ γυναι̃κα ἀπὸ τω̃ν θυγατέρων Σηλων καὶ πορεύεσθε εἰς γη̃ν Βενιαμιν (Ⅲ) - Cumque videritis filias Silo ad ducendos choros ex more procedere, exite repente de vineis, et rapite ex eis singuli uxores singulas, et pergite in terram Benjamin. (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃21 וראיתם והנה אם יצאו בנות שילו לחול במחלות ויצאתם מן הכרמים וחטפתם לכם איש אשתו מבנות שילו והלכתם ארץ בנימן (Ⅴ)

Si leurs pères ou leurs frères viennent se plaindre auprès de nous, nous leur dirons: Accordez-les-nous, car nous n'avons pas pris une femme pour chacun dans la guerre. Ce n'est pas vous qui les leur avez données; en ce cas, vous seriez coupables.
- And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favorable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ὅταν ἔλθωσιν οἱ πατέρες αὐτω̃ν ἢ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτω̃ν κρίνεσθαι πρὸς ὑμα̃ς καὶ ἐρου̃μεν αὐτοι̃ς ἔλεος ποιήσατε ἡμι̃ν αὐτάς ὅτι οὐκ ἐλάβομεν ἀνὴρ γυναι̃κα αὐτου̃ ἐν τη̨̃ παρατάξει ὅτι οὐχ ὑμει̃ς ἐδώκατε αὐτοι̃ς ὡς καιρὸς πλημμελήσατε (Ⅲ) - Cumque venerint patres earum, ac fratres, et adversum vos queri cœperint atque jurgari, dicemus eis : Miseremini eorum : non enim rapuerunt eas jure bellantium atque victorum : sed rogantibus ut acciperent, non dedistis, et a vestra parte peccatum est. (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃21 והיה כי יבאו אבותם או אחיהם *לרוב **לריב אלינו ואמרנו אליהם חנונו אותם כי לא לקחנו איש אשתו במלחמה כי לא אתם נתתם להם כעת תאשמו ס (Ⅴ)

Ainsi firent les fils de Benjamin; ils prirent des femmes selon leur nombre parmi les danseuses qu'ils enlevèrent, puis ils partirent et retournèrent dans leur héritage; ils rebâtirent les villes, et y habitèrent.
- And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐποίησαν οὕτως οἱ υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ ἔλαβον γυναι̃κας εἰς ἀριθμὸν αὐτω̃ν ἀπὸ τω̃ν χορευουσω̃ν ὡ̃ν ἥρπασαν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ ὑπέστρεψαν εἰς τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ὠ̨κοδόμησαν τὰς πόλεις καὶ ἐκάθισαν ἐν αὐται̃ς (Ⅲ) - Feceruntque filii Benjamin ut sibi fuerat imperatum : et juxta numerum suum, rapuerunt sibi de his quæ ducebant choros, uxores singulas : abieruntque in possessionem suam ædificantes urbes, et habitantes in eis. (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃21 ויעשו כן בני בנימן וישאו נשים למספרם מן המחללות אשר גזלו וילכו וישובו אל נחלתם ויבנו את הערים וישבו בהם (Ⅴ)

Et dans le même temps les enfants d'Israël s'en allèrent de là chacun dans sa tribu et dans sa famille, ils retournèrent chacun dans son héritage.
- And the children of Israel departed thence at that time, every man to his tribe and to his family, and they went out from thence every man to his inheritance. (Ⅱ) - καὶ περιεπάτησαν ἐκει̃θεν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ ἀνὴρ εἰς φυλὴν αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰς συγγένειαν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐξη̃λθον ἐκει̃θεν ἀνὴρ εἰς κληρονομίαν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Filii quoque Israël reversi sunt per tribus et familias in tabernacula sua. (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃21 ויתהלכו משם בני ישראל בעת ההיא איש לשבטו ולמשפחתו ויצאו משם איש לנחלתו (Ⅴ)

En ce temps-là, il n'y avait point de roi en Israël. Chacun faisait ce qui lui semblait bon.
- In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes. (Ⅱ) - ἐν δὲ ται̃ς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις οὐκ ἠ̃ν βασιλεὺς ἐν Ισραηλ ἀνὴρ τὸ εὐθὲς ἐνώπιον αὐτου̃ ἐποίει (Ⅲ) - In diebus illis non erat rex in Israël : sed unusquisque quod sibi rectum videbatur, hoc faciebat. (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃21 בימים ההם אין מלך בישראל איש הישר בעיניו יעשה (Ⅴ)
