1 ׃10 ויקח שמואל את פך השמן ויצק על ראשו וישקהו ויאמר הלוא כי משחך יהוה על נחלתו לנגיד
- Samuel prit une fiole d'huile, qu'il répandit sur la tête de Saül. Il le baisa, et dit: L'Éternel ne t'a-t-il pas oint pour que tu sois le chef de son héritage? (Ⅱ) - Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἔλαβεν Σαμουηλ τὸν φακὸν του̃ ἐλαίου καὶ ἐπέχεεν ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἐφίλησεν αὐτὸν καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ οὐχὶ κέχρικέν σε κύριος εἰς ἄρχοντα ἐπὶ τὸν λαὸν αὐτου̃ ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ σὺ ἄρξεις ἐν λαω̨̃ κυρίου καὶ σὺ σώσεις αὐτὸν ἐκ χειρὸς ἐχθρω̃ν αὐτου̃ κυκλόθεν καὶ του̃τό σοι τὸ σημει̃ον ὅτι ἔχρισέν σε κύριος ἐπὶ κληρονομίαν αὐτου̃ εἰς ἄρχοντα (Ⅳ) - Tulit autem Samuel lenticulam olei, et effudit super caput ejus : et deosculatus est eum, et ait : Ecce unxit te Dominus super hæreditatem suam in principem, et liberabis populum suum de manibus inimicorum ejus qui in circuitu ejus sunt. Et hoc tibi signum, quia unxit te Deus in principem.\ (Ⅴ)

2 ׃10 בלכתך היום מעמדי ומצאת שני אנשים עם קברת רחל בגבול בנימן בצלצח ואמרו אליך נמצאו האתנות אשר הלכת לבקש והנה נטש אביך את דברי האתנות ודאג לכם לאמר מה אעשה לבני
- Aujourd'hui, après m'avoir quitté, tu trouveras deux hommes près du sépulcre de Rachel, sur la frontière de Benjamin, à Tseltsach. Ils te diront: Les ânesses que tu es allé chercher sont retrouvées; et voici, ton père ne pense plus aux ânesses, mais il est en peine de vous, et dit: Que dois-je faire au sujet de mon fils? (Ⅱ) - When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son? (Ⅲ) - ὡς ἂν ἀπέλθη̨ς σήμερον ἀπ' ἐμου̃ καὶ εὑρήσεις δύο ἄνδρας πρὸς τοι̃ς τάφοις Ραχηλ ἐν τω̨̃ ὁρίω̨ Βενιαμιν ἁλλομένους μεγάλα καὶ ἐρου̃σίν σοι εὕρηνται αἱ ὄνοι ἃς ἐπορεύθητε ζητει̃ν καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ πατήρ σου ἀποτετίνακται τὸ ῥη̃μα τω̃ν ὄνων καὶ ἐδαψιλεύσατο δι' ὑμα̃ς λέγων τί ποιήσω ὑπὲρ του̃ υἱου̃ μου (Ⅳ) - Cum abieris hodie a me, invenies duos viros juxta sepulchrum Rachel in finibus Benjamin, in meridie : dicentque tibi : Inventæ sunt asinæ ad quas ieras perquirendas : et intermissis pater tuus asinis, sollicitus est pro vobis, et dicit : Quid faciam de filio meo ? (Ⅴ)

3 ׃10 וחלפת משם והלאה ובאת עד אלון תבור ומצאוך שם שלשה אנשים עלים אל האלהים בית אל אחד נשא שלשה גדיים ואחד נשא שלשת ככרות לחם ואחד נשא נבל יין
- De là tu iras plus loin, et tu arriveras au chêne de Thabor, où tu seras rencontré par trois hommes montant vers Dieu à Béthel, et portant l'un trois chevreaux, l'autre trois gâteaux de pain, et l'autre une outre de vin. (Ⅱ) - Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀπελεύσει ἐκει̃θεν καὶ ἐπέκεινα ἥξεις ἕως τη̃ς δρυὸς Θαβωρ καὶ εὑρήσεις ἐκει̃ τρει̃ς ἄνδρας ἀναβαίνοντας πρὸς τὸν θεὸν εἰς Βαιθηλ ἕνα αἴροντα τρία αἰγίδια καὶ ἕνα αἴροντα τρία ἀγγει̃α ἄρτων καὶ ἕνα αἴροντα ἀσκὸν οἴνου (Ⅳ) - Cumque abieris inde, et ultra transieris, et veneris ad quercum Thabor, invenient te ibi tres viri ascendentes ad Deum in Bethel, unus portans tres hædos, et alius tres tortas panis, et alius portans lagenam vini. (Ⅴ)

4 ׃10 ושאלו לך לשלום ונתנו לך שתי לחם ולקחת מידם
- Ils te demanderont comment tu te portes, et ils te donneront deux pains, que tu recevras de leur main. (Ⅱ) - And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐρωτήσουσίν σε τὰ εἰς εἰρήνην καὶ δώσουσίν σοι δύο ἀπαρχὰς ἄρτων καὶ λήμψη̨ ἐκ τη̃ς χειρὸς αὐτω̃ν (Ⅳ) - Cumque te salutaverint, dabunt tibi duos panes, et accipies de manu eorum. (Ⅴ)

5 ׃10 אחר כן תבוא גבעת האלהים אשר שם נצבי פלשתים ויהי כבאך שם העיר ופגעת חבל נביאים ירדים מהבמה ולפניהם נבל ותף וחליל וכנור והמה מתנבאים
- Après cela, tu arriveras à Guibea Élohim, où se trouve une garnison de Philistins. En entrant dans la ville, tu rencontreras une troupe de prophètes descendant du haut lieu, précédés du luth, du tambourin, de la flûte et de la harpe, et prophétisant eux-mêmes. (Ⅱ) - After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: (Ⅲ) - καὶ μετὰ ταυ̃τα εἰσελεύση̨ εἰς τὸν βουνὸν του̃ θεου̃ οὑ̃ ἐστιν ἐκει̃ τὸ ἀνάστημα τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων ἐκει̃ Νασιβ ὁ ἀλλόφυλος καὶ ἔσται ὡς ἂν εἰσέλθητε ἐκει̃ εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ ἀπαντήσεις χορω̨̃ προφητω̃ν καταβαινόντων ἐκ τη̃ς Βαμα καὶ ἔμπροσθεν αὐτω̃ν νάβλα καὶ τύμπανον καὶ αὐλὸς καὶ κινύρα καὶ αὐτοὶ προφητεύοντες (Ⅳ) - Post hæc venies in collem Dei, ubi est statio Philisthinorum : et cum ingressus fueris ibi urbem, obvium habebis gregem prophetarum descendentium de excelso, et ante eos psalterium, et tympanum, et tibiam, et citharam, ipsosque prophetantes. (Ⅴ)

6 ׃10 וצלחה עליך רוח יהוה והתנבית עמם ונהפכת לאיש אחר
- L'esprit de l'Éternel te saisira, tu prophétiseras avec eux, et tu seras changé en un autre homme. (Ⅱ) - And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐφαλει̃ται ἐπὶ σὲ πνευ̃μα κυρίου καὶ προφητεύσεις μετ' αὐτω̃ν καὶ στραφήση̨ εἰς ἄνδρα ἄλλον (Ⅳ) - Et insiliet in te spiritus Domini, et prophetabis cum eis, et mutaberis in virum alium. (Ⅴ)

7 ׃10 והיה כי *תבאינה **תבאנה האתות האלה לך עשה לך אשר תמצא ידך כי האלהים עמך
- Lorsque ces signes auront eu pour toi leur accomplissement, fais ce que tu trouveras à faire, car Dieu est avec toi. (Ⅱ) - And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἔσται ὅταν ἥξει τὰ σημει̃α ταυ̃τα ἐπὶ σέ ποίει πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν εὕρη̨ ἡ χείρ σου ὅτι θεὸς μετὰ σου̃ (Ⅳ) - Quando ergo evenerint signa hæc omnia tibi, fac quæcumque invenerit manus tua, quia Dominus tecum est. (Ⅴ)

8 ׃10 וירדת לפני הגלגל והנה אנכי ירד אליך להעלות עלות לזבח זבחי שלמים שבעת ימים תוחל עד בואי אליך והודעתי לך את אשר תעשה
- Puis tu descendras avant moi à Guilgal; et voici, je descendrai vers toi, pour offrir des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces. Tu attendras sept jours, jusqu'à ce que j'arrive auprès de toi et que je te dise ce que tu dois faire. (Ⅱ) - And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and show thee what thou shalt do. (Ⅲ) - καὶ καταβήση̨ ἔμπροσθεν τη̃ς Γαλγαλα καὶ ἰδοὺ καταβαίνω πρὸς σὲ ἀνενεγκει̃ν ὁλοκαύτωσιν καὶ θυσίας εἰρηνικάς ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας διαλείψεις ἕως του̃ ἐλθει̃ν με πρὸς σέ καὶ γνωρίσω σοι ἃ ποιήσεις (Ⅳ) - Et descendes ante me in Galgala (ego quippe descendam ad te), ut offeras oblationem, et immoles victimas pacificas : septem diebus expectabis, donec veniam ad te, et ostendam tibi quid facias. (Ⅴ)

9 ׃10 והיה כהפנתו שכמו ללכת מעם שמואל ויהפך לו אלהים לב אחר ויבאו כל האתות האלה ביום ההוא ס
- Dès que Saül eut tourné le dos pour se séparer de Samuel, Dieu lui donna un autre coeur, et tous ces signes s'accomplirent le même jour. (Ⅱ) - And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐγενήθη ὥστε ἐπιστραφη̃ναι τω̨̃ ὤμω̨ αὐτου̃ ἀπελθει̃ν ἀπὸ Σαμουηλ μετέστρεψεν αὐτω̨̃ ὁ θεὸς καρδίαν ἄλλην καὶ ἠ̃λθεν πάντα τὰ σημει̃α ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ (Ⅳ) - Itaque cum avertisset humerum suum ut abiret a Samuele, immutavit ei Deus cor aliud, et venerunt omnia signa hæc in die illa. (Ⅴ)

10 ׃10 ויבאו שם הגבעתה והנה חבל נבאים לקראתו ותצלח עליו רוח אלהים ויתנבא בתוכם
- Lorsqu'ils arrivèrent à Guibea, voici, une troupe de prophètes vint à sa rencontre. L'esprit de Dieu le saisit, et il prophétisa au milieu d'eux. (Ⅱ) - And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἔρχεται ἐκει̃θεν εἰς τὸν βουνόν καὶ ἰδοὺ χορὸς προφητω̃ν ἐξ ἐναντίας αὐτου̃ καὶ ἥλατο ἐπ' αὐτὸν πνευ̃μα θεου̃ καὶ ἐπροφήτευσεν ἐν μέσω̨ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅳ) - Veneruntque ad prædictum collem, et ecce cuneus prophetarum obvius ei : et insiluit super eum spiritus Domini, et prophetavit in medio eorum. (Ⅴ)

11 ׃10 ויהי כל יודעו מאתמול שלשום ויראו והנה עם נבאים נבא ויאמר העם איש אל רעהו מה זה היה לבן קיש הגם שאול בנביאים
- Tous ceux qui l'avaient connu auparavant virent qu'il prophétisait avec les prophètes, et l'on se disait l'un à l'autre dans le peuple: Qu'est-il arrivé au fils de Kis? Saül est-il aussi parmi les prophètes? (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐγενήθησαν πάντες οἱ εἰδότες αὐτὸν ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην καὶ εἰ̃δον καὶ ἰδοὺ αὐτὸς ἐν μέσω̨ τω̃ν προφητω̃ν καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ λαὸς ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτου̃ τί του̃το τὸ γεγονὸς τω̨̃ υἱω̨̃ Κις ἠ̃ καὶ Σαουλ ἐν προφήταις (Ⅳ) - Videntes autem omnes qui noverant eum heri et nudiustertius quod esset cum prophetis, et prophetaret, dixerunt ad invicem : Quænam res accidit filio Cis ? num et Saul inter prophetas ? (Ⅴ)

12 ׃10 ויען איש משם ויאמר ומי אביהם על כן היתה למשל הגם שאול בנבאים
- Quelqu'un de Guibea répondit: Et qui est leur père? -De là le proverbe: Saül est-il aussi parmi les prophètes? (Ⅱ) - And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets? (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη τις αὐτω̃ν καὶ εἰ̃πεν καὶ τίς πατὴρ αὐτου̃ διὰ του̃το ἐγενήθη εἰς παραβολήν ἠ̃ καὶ Σαουλ ἐν προφήταις (Ⅳ) - Responditque alius ad alterum, dicens : Et quis pater eorum ? Propterea versum est in proverbium : Num et Saul inter prophetas ? (Ⅴ)

13 ׃10 ויכל מהתנבות ויבא הבמה
- Lorsqu'il eut fini de prophétiser, il se rendit au haut lieu. (Ⅱ) - And when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high place. (Ⅲ) - καὶ συνετέλεσεν προφητεύων καὶ ἔρχεται εἰς τὸν βουνόν (Ⅳ) - Cessavit autem prophetare, et venit ad excelsum. (Ⅴ)

14 ׃10 ויאמר דוד שאול אליו ואל נערו אן הלכתם ויאמר לבקש את האתנות ונראה כי אין ונבוא אל שמואל
- L'oncle de Saül dit à Saül et à son serviteur: Où êtes-vous allés? Saül répondit: Chercher les ânesses; mais nous ne les avons pas aperçues, et nous sommes allés vers Samuel. (Ⅱ) - And Saul's uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And he said, To seek the asses: and when we saw that they were no where, we came to Samuel. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ οἰκει̃ος αὐτου̃ πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ πρὸς τὸ παιδάριον αὐτου̃ που̃ ἐπορεύθητε καὶ εἰ̃παν ζητει̃ν τὰς ὄνους καὶ εἴδαμεν ὅτι οὐκ εἰσίν καὶ εἰσήλθομεν πρὸς Σαμουηλ (Ⅳ) - Dixitque patruus Saul ad eum, et ad puerum ejus : Quo abistis ? Qui responderunt : Quærere asinas : quas cum non reperissemus, venimus ad Samuelem. (Ⅴ)

15 ׃10 ויאמר דוד שאול הגידה נא לי מה אמר לכם שמואל
- L'oncle de Saül reprit: Raconte-moi donc ce que vous a dit Samuel. (Ⅱ) - And Saul's uncle said, Tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said unto you. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν ὁ οἰκει̃ος πρὸς Σαουλ ἀπάγγειλον δή μοι τί εἰ̃πέν σοι Σαμουηλ (Ⅳ) - Et dixit ei patruus suus : Indica mihi quid dixerit tibi Samuel. (Ⅴ)

16 ׃10 ויאמר שאול אל דודו הגד הגיד לנו כי נמצאו האתנות ואת דבר המלוכה לא הגיד לו אשר אמר שמואל פ
- Et Saül répondit à son oncle: Il nous a assuré que les ânesses étaient retrouvées. Et il ne lui dit rien de la royauté dont avait parlé Samuel. (Ⅱ) - And Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel spake, he told him not. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαουλ πρὸς τὸν οἰκει̃ον αὐτου̃ ἀπήγγειλεν ἀπαγγέλλων μοι ὅτι εὕρηνται αἱ ὄνοι τὸ δὲ ῥη̃μα τη̃ς βασιλείας οὐκ ἀπήγγειλεν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅳ) - Et ait Saul ad patruum suum : Indicavit nobis quia inventæ essent asinæ. De sermone autem regni non indicavit ei quem locutus fuerat ei Samuel.\ (Ⅴ)

17 ׃10 ויצעק שמואל את העם אל יהוה המצפה
- Samuel convoqua le peuple devant l'Éternel à Mitspa, (Ⅱ) - And Samuel called the people together unto the LORD to Mizpeh; (Ⅲ) - καὶ παρήγγειλεν Σαμουηλ παντὶ τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ πρὸς κύριον εἰς Μασσηφα (Ⅳ) - Et convocavit Samuel populum ad Dominum in Maspha : (Ⅴ)

18 ׃10 ויאמר אל בני ישראל פכה אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל אנכי העליתי את ישראל ממצרים ואציל אתכם מיד מצרים ומיד כל הממלכות הלחצים אתכם
- et il dit aux enfants d'Israël: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël: J'ai fait monter d'Égypte Israël, et je vous ai délivrés de la main des Égyptiens et de la main de tous les royaumes qui vous opprimaient. (Ⅱ) - And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you: (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ τάδε εἰ̃πεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ λέγων ἐγὼ ἀνήγαγον τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐξειλάμην ὑμα̃ς ἐκ χειρὸς Φαραω βασιλέως Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐκ πασω̃ν τω̃ν βασιλειω̃ν τω̃ν θλιβουσω̃ν ὑμα̃ς (Ⅳ) - et ait ad filios Israël : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël : Ego eduxi Israël de Ægypto, et erui vos de manu Ægyptiorum, et de manu omnium regum qui affligebant vos. (Ⅴ)

19 ׃10 ואתם היום מאסתם את אלהיכם אשר הוא מושיע לכם מכל רעותיכם וצרתיכם ותאמרו לו כי מלך תשים עלינו ועתה התיצבו לפני יהוה לשבטיכם ולאלפיכם
- Et aujourd'hui, vous rejetez votre Dieu, qui vous a délivrés de tous vos maux et de toutes vos souffrances, et vous lui dites: Établis un roi sur nous! Présentez-vous maintenant devant l'Éternel, selon vos tribus et selon vos milliers. (Ⅱ) - And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ὑμει̃ς σήμερον ἐξουθενήκατε τὸν θεόν ὃς αὐτός ἐστιν ὑμω̃ν σωτὴρ ἐκ πάντων τω̃ν κακω̃ν ὑμω̃ν καὶ θλίψεων ὑμω̃ν καὶ εἴπατε οὐχί ἀλλ' ἢ ὅτι βασιλέα στήσεις ἐφ' ἡμω̃ν καὶ νυ̃ν κατάστητε ἐνώπιον κυρίου κατὰ τὰ σκη̃πτρα ὑμω̃ν καὶ κατὰ τὰς φυλὰς ὑμω̃ν (Ⅳ) - Vos autem hodie projecistis Deum vestrum, qui solus salvavit vos de universis malis et tribulationibus vestris : et dixistis : Nequaquam : sed regem constitue super nos. Nunc ergo state coram Domino per tribus vestras, et per familias. (Ⅴ)

20 ׃10 ויקרב שמואל את כל שבטי ישראל וילכד שבט בנימן
- Samuel fit approcher toutes les tribus d'Israël, et la tribu de Benjamin fut désignée. (Ⅱ) - And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken. (Ⅲ) - καὶ προσήγαγεν Σαμουηλ πάντα τὰ σκη̃πτρα Ισραηλ καὶ κατακληρου̃ται σκη̃πτρον Βενιαμιν (Ⅳ) - Et applicuit Samuel omnes tribus Israël, et cecidit sors tribus Benjamin. (Ⅴ)

21 ׃10 ויקרב את שבט בנימן *למשפחתו **למשפחתיו ותלכד משפחת המטרי וילכד שאול בן קיש ויבקשהו ולא נמצא
- Il fit approcher la tribu de Benjamin par familles, et la famille de Matri fut désignée. Puis Saül, fils de Kis, fut désigné. On le chercha, mais on ne le trouva point. (Ⅱ) - When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found. (Ⅲ) - καὶ προσάγει σκη̃πτρον Βενιαμιν εἰς φυλάς καὶ κατακληρου̃ται φυλὴ Ματταρι καὶ προσάγουσιν τὴν φυλὴν Ματταρι εἰς ἄνδρας καὶ κατακληρου̃ται Σαουλ υἱὸς Κις καὶ ἐζήτει αὐτόν καὶ οὐχ εὑρίσκετο (Ⅳ) - Et applicuit tribum Benjamin et cognationes ejus, et cecidit cognatio Metri : et pervenit usque ad Saul filium Cis. Quæsierunt ergo eum, et non est inventus. (Ⅴ)

22 ׃10 וישאלו עוד ביהוה הבא עוד הלם איש סויאמר יהוה הנה הוא נחבא אל הכלים
- On consulta de nouveau l'Éternel: Y a-t-il encore un homme qui soit venu ici? Et l'Éternel dit: Voici, il est caché vers les bagages. (Ⅱ) - Therefore they inquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold he hath hid himself among the stuff. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν Σαμουηλ ἔτι ἐν κυρίω̨ εἰ ἔρχεται ὁ ἀνὴρ ἐνταυ̃θα καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος ἰδοὺ αὐτὸς κέκρυπται ἐν τοι̃ς σκεύεσιν (Ⅳ) - Et consuluerunt post hæc Dominum utrumnam venturus esset illuc. Responditque Dominus : Ecce absconditus est domi. (Ⅴ)

23 ׃10 וירצו ויקחהו משם ויתיצב בתוך העם ויגבה מכל העם משכמו ומעלה
- On courut le tirer de là, et il se présenta au milieu du peuple. Il les dépassait tous de la tête. (Ⅱ) - And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἔδραμεν καὶ λαμβάνει αὐτὸν ἐκει̃θεν καὶ κατέστησεν ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ λαου̃ καὶ ὑψώθη ὑπὲρ πάντα τὸν λαὸν ὑπὲρ ὠμίαν καὶ ἐπάνω (Ⅳ) - Cucurrerunt itaque et tulerunt eum inde : stetitque in medio populi, et altior fuit universo populo ab humero et sursum. (Ⅴ)

24 ׃10 ויאמר שמואל אל כל העם הראיתם אשר בחר בו יהוה כי אין כמהו בכל העם וירעו כל העם ויאמרו יחי המלך פ
- Samuel dit à tout le peuple: Voyez-vous celui que l'Éternel a choisi? Il n'y a personne dans tout le peuple qui soit semblable à lui. Et tout le peuple poussa les cris de: Vive le roi! (Ⅱ) - And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαμουηλ πρὸς πάντα τὸν λαόν εἰ ἑοράκατε ὃν ἐκλέλεκται ἑαυτω̨̃ κύριος ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτω̨̃ ὅμοιος ἐν πα̃σιν ὑμι̃ν καὶ ἔγνωσαν πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς καὶ εἰ̃παν ζήτω ὁ βασιλεύς (Ⅳ) - Et ait Samuel ad omnem populum : Certe videtis quem elegit Dominus, quoniam non sit similis illi in omni populo. Et clamavit omnis populus, et ait : Vivat rex. (Ⅴ)

25 ׃10 וידבר שמואל אל העם את משפט המלכה ויכתב בספר וינח לפני יהוה וישלח שמואל את כל העם איש לביתו
- Samuel fit alors connaître au peuple le droit de la royauté, et il l'écrivit dans un livre, qu'il déposa devant l'Éternel. Puis il renvoya tout le peuple, chacun chez soi. (Ⅱ) - Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the LORD. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαμουηλ πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τὸ δικαίωμα του̃ βασιλέως καὶ ἔγραψεν ἐν βιβλίω̨ καὶ ἔθηκεν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν Σαμουηλ πάντα τὸν λαόν καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ) - Locutus est autem Samuel ad populum legem regni, et scripsit in libro, et reposuit coram Domino : et dimisit Samuel omnem populum, singulos in domum suam. (Ⅴ)

26 ׃10 וגם שאול הלך לביתו גבעתה וילכו עמו החיל אשר נגע אלהים בלבם
- Saül aussi s'en alla dans sa maison à Guibea. Il fut accompagné par les honnêtes gens, dont Dieu avait touché le coeur. (Ⅱ) - And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched. (Ⅲ) - καὶ Σαουλ ἀπη̃λθεν εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον αὐτου̃ εἰς Γαβαα καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν υἱοὶ δυνάμεων ὡ̃ν ἥψατο κύριος καρδίας αὐτω̃ν μετὰ Σαουλ (Ⅳ) - Sed et Saul abiit in domum suam in Gabaa : et abiit cum eo pars exercitus, quorum tetigerat Deus corda. (Ⅴ)

27 ׃10 ובני בליעל אמרו מה ישענו זה ויבזהו ולא הביאו לו מנחה ויהי כמחריש פ
- Il y eut toutefois des hommes pervers, qui disaient: Quoi! c'est celui-ci qui nous sauvera! Et ils le méprisèrent, et ne lui apportèrent aucun présent. Mais Saül n'y prit point garde. (Ⅱ) - But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace. (Ⅲ) - καὶ υἱοὶ λοιμοὶ εἰ̃παν τί σώσει ἡμα̃ς οὑ̃τος καὶ ἠτίμασαν αὐτὸν καὶ οὐκ ἤνεγκαν αὐτω̨̃ δω̃ρα (Ⅳ) - Filii vero Belial dixerunt : Num salvare nos poterit iste ? Et despexerunt eum, et non attulerunt ei munera : ille vero dissimulabat se audire. (Ⅴ)
