1 ׃31 ופלשתים נלחמים בישראל וינסו אנשי ישראל מפני פלשתים ויפלו חללים בהר הגלבע
- Les Philistins livrèrent bataille à Israël, et les hommes d'Israël prirent la fuite devant les Philistins et tombèrent morts sur la montagne de Guilboa. (Ⅱ) - Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa. (Ⅲ) - καὶ οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἐπολέμουν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἔφυγον οἱ ἄνδρες Ισραηλ ἐκ προσώπου τω̃ν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ πίπτουσιν τραυματίαι ἐν τω̨̃ ὄρει τω̨̃ Γελβουε (Ⅳ) - Philisthiim autem pugnabant adversum Israël : et fugerunt viri Israël ante faciem Philisthiim, et ceciderunt interfecti in monte Gelboë. (Ⅴ)

2 ׃31 וידבקו פלשתים את שאול ואת בניו ויכו פלשתים את יהונתן ואת אבינדב ואת מלכי שוע בני שאול
- Les Philistins poursuivirent Saül et ses fils, et tuèrent Jonathan, Abinadab et Malkischua, fils de Saül. (Ⅱ) - And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Melchishua, Saul's sons. (Ⅲ) - καὶ συνάπτουσιν ἀλλόφυλοι τω̨̃ Σαουλ καὶ τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς αὐτου̃ καὶ τύπτουσιν ἀλλόφυλοι τὸν Ιωναθαν καὶ τὸν Αμιναδαβ καὶ τὸν Μελχισα υἱοὺς Σαουλ (Ⅳ) - Irrueruntque Philisthiim in Saul et in filios ejus, et percusserunt Jonathan, et Abinadab, et Melchisua filios Saul : (Ⅴ)

3 ׃31 ותכבד המלחמה אל שאול וימצאהו המורים אנשים בקשת ויחל מאד מהמורים
- L'effort du combat porta sur Saül; les archers l'atteignirent, et le blessèrent grièvement. (Ⅱ) - And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers. (Ⅲ) - καὶ βαρύνεται ὁ πόλεμος ἐπὶ Σαουλ καὶ εὑρίσκουσιν αὐτὸν οἱ ἀκοντισταί ἄνδρες τοξόται καὶ ἐτραυματίσθη εἰς τὰ ὑποχόνδρια (Ⅳ) - totumque pondus prælii versum est in Saul, et consecuti sunt eum viri sagittarii, et vulneratus est vehementer a sagittariis. (Ⅴ)

4 ׃31 ויאמר שאול לנשא כליו שלף חרבך ודקרני בה פן יבואו הערלים האלה ודקרני והתעללו בי ולא אבה נשא כליו כי ירא מאד ויקח שאול את החרב ויפל עליה
- Saül dit alors à celui qui portait ses armes: Tire ton épée, et m'en transperce, de peur que ces incirconcis ne viennent me percer et me faire subir leurs outrages. Celui qui portait ses armes ne voulut pas, car il était saisi de crainte. Et Saül prit son épée, et se jeta dessus. (Ⅱ) - Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Σαουλ πρὸς τὸν αἴροντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτου̃ σπάσαι τὴν ῥομφαίαν σου καὶ ἀποκέντησόν με ἐν αὐτη̨̃ μὴ ἔλθωσιν οἱ ἀπερίτμητοι οὑ̃τοι καὶ ἀποκεντήσωσίν με καὶ ἐμπαίξωσίν μοι καὶ οὐκ ἐβούλετο ὁ αἴρων τὰ σκεύη αὐτου̃ ὅτι ἐφοβήθη σφόδρα καὶ ἔλαβεν Σαουλ τὴν ῥομφαίαν καὶ ἐπέπεσεν ἐπ' αὐτήν (Ⅳ) - Dixitque Saul ad armigerum suum : Evagina gladium tuum, et percute me : ne forte veniant incircumcisi isti, et interficiant me, illudentes mihi. Et noluit armiger ejus : fuerat enim nimio terrore perterritus. Arripuit itaque Saul gladium, et irruit super eum. (Ⅴ)

5 ׃31 וירא נשא כליו כי מת שאול ויפל גם הוא על חרבו וימת עמו
- Celui qui portait les armes de Saül, le voyant mort, se jeta aussi sur son épée, et mourut avec lui. (Ⅱ) - And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃δεν ὁ αἴρων τὰ σκεύη αὐτου̃ ὅτι τέθνηκεν Σαουλ καὶ ἐπέπεσεν καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπὶ τὴν ῥομφαίαν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀπέθανεν μετ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ) - Quod cum vidisset armiger ejus, videlicet quod mortuus esset Saul, irruit etiam ipse super gladium suum, et mortuus est cum eo. (Ⅴ)

6 ׃31 וימת שאול ושלשת בניו ונשא כליו גם כל אנשיו ביום ההוא יחדו
- Ainsi périrent en même temps, dans cette journée, Saül et ses trois fils, celui qui portait ses armes, et tous ses gens. (Ⅱ) - So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀπέθανεν Σαουλ καὶ οἱ τρει̃ς υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ ὁ αἴρων τὰ σκεύη αὐτου̃ ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ κατὰ τὸ αὐτό (Ⅳ) - Mortuus est ergo Saul, et tres filii ejus, et armiger illius, et universi viri ejus in die illa pariter. (Ⅴ)

7 ׃31 ויראו אנשי ישראל אשר בעבר העמק ואשר בעבר הירדן כי נסו אנשי ישראל וכי מתו שאול ובניו ויעזבו את הערים וינסו ויבאו פלשתים וישבו בהן ס
- Ceux d'Israël qui étaient de ce côté de la vallée et de ce côté du Jourdain, ayant vu que les hommes d'Israël s'enfuyaient et que Saül et ses fils étaient morts, abandonnèrent leurs villes pour prendre aussi la fuite. Et les Philistins allèrent s'y établir. (Ⅱ) - And when the men of Israel that were on the other side of the valley, and they that were on the other side Jordan, saw that the men of Israel fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them. (Ⅲ) - καὶ εἰ̃δον οἱ ἄνδρες Ισραηλ οἱ ἐν τω̨̃ πέραν τη̃ς κοιλάδος καὶ οἱ ἐν τω̨̃ πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου ὅτι ἔφυγον οἱ ἄνδρες Ισραηλ καὶ ὅτι τέθνηκεν Σαουλ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτου̃ καὶ καταλείπουσιν τὰς πόλεις αὐτω̃ν καὶ φεύγουσιν καὶ ἔρχονται οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι καὶ κατοικου̃σιν ἐν αὐται̃ς (Ⅳ) - Videntes autem viri Israël qui erant trans vallem et trans Jordanem, quod fugissent viri Israëlitæ, et quod mortuus esset Saul et filii ejus, reliquerunt civitates suas, et fugerunt : veneruntque Philisthiim, et habitaverunt ibi. (Ⅴ)

8 ׃31 ויהי ממחרת ויבאו פלשתים לפשט את החללים וימצאו את שאול ואת שלשת בניו נפלים בהר הגלבע
- Le lendemain, les Philistins vinrent pour dépouiller les morts, et ils trouvèrent Saül et ses trois fils tombés sur la montagne de Guilboa. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen in mount Gilboa. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐγενήθη τη̨̃ ἐπαύριον καὶ ἔρχονται οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἐκδιδύσκειν τοὺς νεκροὺς καὶ εὑρίσκουσιν τὸν Σαουλ καὶ τοὺς τρει̃ς υἱοὺς αὐτου̃ πεπτωκότας ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη Γελβουε (Ⅳ) - Facta autem die altera, venerunt Philisthiim ut spoliarent interfectos, et invenerunt Saul et tres filios ejus jacentes in monte Gelboë. (Ⅴ)

9 ׃31 ויכרתו את ראשו ויפשיטו את כליו וישלחו בארץ פלשתים סביב לבשר בית עצביהם ואת העם
- Ils coupèrent la tête de Saül, et enlevèrent ses armes. Puis ils firent annoncer ces bonnes nouvelles par tout le pays des Philistins dans les maisons de leurs idoles et parmi le peuple. (Ⅱ) - And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armor, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀποστρέφουσιν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐξέδυσαν τὰ σκεύη αὐτου̃ καὶ ἀποστέλλουσιν αὐτὰ εἰς γη̃ν ἀλλοφύλων κύκλω̨ εὐαγγελίζοντες τοι̃ς εἰδώλοις αὐτω̃ν καὶ τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅳ) - Et præciderunt caput Saul, et spoliaverunt eum armis : et miserunt in terram Philisthinorum per circuitum, ut annuntiaretur in templo idolorum, et in populis. (Ⅴ)

10 ׃31 וישמו את כליו בית עשתרות ואת גויתו תקעו בחומת בית שן
- Ils mirent les armes de Saül dans la maison des Astartés, et ils attachèrent son cadavre sur les murs de Beth Schan. (Ⅱ) - And they put his armor in the house of Ashtaroth: and they fastened his body to the wall of Bethshan. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀνέθηκαν τὰ σκεύη αὐτου̃ εἰς τὸ 'Ασταρτει̃ον καὶ τὸ σω̃μα αὐτου̃ κατέπηξαν ἐν τω̨̃ τείχει Βαιθσαν (Ⅳ) - Et posuerunt arma ejus in templo Astaroth, corpus vero ejus suspenderunt in muro Bethsan. (Ⅴ)

11 ׃31 וישמעו אליו ישבי יביש גלעד את אשר עשו פלשתים לשאול
- Lorsque les habitants de Jabès en Galaad apprirent comment les Philistins avaient traité Saül, (Ⅱ) - And when the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead heard of that which the Philistines had done to Saul; (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀκούουσιν οἱ κατοικου̃ντες Ιαβις τη̃ς Γαλααδίτιδος ἃ ἐποίησαν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι τω̨̃ Σαουλ (Ⅳ) - Quod cum audissent habitatores Jabes Galaad, quæcumque fecerant Philisthiim Saul, (Ⅴ)

12 ׃31 ויקומו כל איש חיל וילכו כל הלילה ויקחו את גוית שאול ואת גוית בניו מחומת בית שן ויבאו יבשה וישרפו אתם שם
- tous les vaillants hommes se levèrent, et, après avoir marché toute la nuit, ils arrachèrent des murs de Beth Schan le cadavre de Saül et ceux de ses fils. Puis ils revinrent à Jabès, où ils les brûlèrent; (Ⅱ) - All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀνέστησαν πα̃ς ἀνὴρ δυνάμεως καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὅλην τὴν νύκτα καὶ ἔλαβον τὸ σω̃μα Σαουλ καὶ τὸ σω̃μα Ιωναθαν του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτου̃ ἀπὸ τείχους Βαιθσαν καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτοὺς εἰς Ιαβις καὶ κατακαίουσιν αὐτοὺς ἐκει̃ (Ⅳ) - surrexerunt omnes viri fortissimi, et ambulaverunt tota nocte, et tulerunt cadaver Saul, et cadavera filiorum ejus, de muro Bethsan : veneruntque Jabes Galaad, et combusserunt ea ibi : (Ⅴ)

13 ׃31 ויקחו את עצמתיהם ויקברו תחת האשל ביבשה ויצמו שבעת ימים פ
- ils prirent leurs os, et les enterrèrent sous le tamarisc à Jabès. Et ils jeûnèrent sept jours. (Ⅱ) - And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days. (Ⅲ) - καὶ λαμβάνουσιν τὰ ὀστα̃ αὐτω̃ν καὶ θάπτουσιν ὑπὸ τὴν ἄρουραν τὴν Ιαβις καὶ νηστεύουσιν ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας (Ⅳ) - et tulerunt ossa eorum, et sepelierunt in nemore Jabes, et jejunaverunt septem diebus. (Ⅴ)
