105. 0  
Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ)
- The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ)
- In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ)
- Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ)
- بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (Ⅴ)
105. 1  
Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant?
- Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biashabi alfeeli (Ⅰ)
- See you not how your Lord dealt with the people of the elephant? (Ⅱ)
- Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant ? (Ⅲ)
- Hast thou not seen how thy Lord did with the Men of the Elephant? (Ⅳ)
- بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ (Ⅴ)
105. 2  
Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray?
- Alam yajAAal kaydahum fee tadleelin (Ⅰ)
- Did He not make their stratagem lead them astray, (Ⅱ)
- Did He not bring their stratagem to naught, (Ⅲ)
- Did He not make their guile to go astray? (Ⅳ)
- أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ (Ⅴ)
105. 3  
And He sent against them Flights of Birds,
- Waarsala AAalayhim tayran ababeela (Ⅰ)
- And sent down on them birds in flocks, (Ⅱ)
- And send against them swarms of flying creatures, (Ⅲ)
- And He loosed upon them birds in flights, (Ⅳ)
- وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ (Ⅴ)
105. 4  
Striking them with stones of baked clay.
- Tarmeehim bihijaratin min sijjeelin (Ⅰ)
- To pelt them with stones of baked clay, (Ⅱ)
- Which pelted them with stones of baked clay, (Ⅲ)
- hurling against them stones of baked clay (Ⅳ)
- تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ (Ⅴ)
105. 5  
Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.
- FajaAAalahum kaAAasfin makoolin (Ⅰ)
- And make them like stalks left by herbage eaten down? (Ⅱ)
- And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle) ? (Ⅲ)
- and He made them like green blades devoured. (Ⅳ)
- فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ (Ⅴ)
