Salomon avait douze intendants sur tout Israël. Ils pourvoyaient à l'entretien du roi et de sa maison, chacun pendant un mois de l'année.
- And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τω̨̃ Σαλωμων δώδεκα καθεσταμένοι ἐπὶ πάντα Ισραηλ χορηγει̃ν τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ καὶ τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ μη̃να ἐν τω̨̃ ἐνιαυτω̨̃ ἐγίνετο ἐπὶ τὸν ἕνα χορηγει̃ν (Ⅲ) - Habebat autem Salomon duodecim præfectos super omnem Israël, qui præbebant annonam regi et domui ejus : per singulos enim menses in anno, singuli necessaria ministrabant. - Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land. (Ⅱ) - Ιωσαφατ υἱὸς Φουασουδ ἐν Ισσαχαρ (Ⅲ) - Gaber filius Uri in terra Galaad, in terra Sehon regis Amorrhæi et Og regis Basan, super omnia quæ erant in illa terra.\ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃4 גבר בן ארי בארץ גלעד ארץ סיחון מלך האמרי ועג מלך הבשן ונציב אחד אשר בארץ (Ⅴ)

Juda et Israël étaient très nombreux, pareils au sable qui est sur le bord de la mer. Ils mangeaient, buvaient et se réjouissaient.
- Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry. (Ⅱ) - Juda et Israël innumerabiles, sicut arena maris in multitudine : comedentes, et bibentes, atque lætantes. (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃4 יהודה וישראל רבים כחול אשר על הים לרב אכלים ושתים ושמחים (Ⅴ)

Salomon dominait encore sur tous les royaumes depuis le fleuve jusqu'au pays des Philistins et jusqu'à la frontière d'Égypte; ils apportaient des présents, et ils furent assujettis à Salomon tout le temps de sa vie.
- And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life. (Ⅱ) - Salomon autem erat in ditione sua, habens omnia regna a flumine terræ Philisthiim usque ad terminum Ægypti : offerentium sibi munera, et servientium ei cunctis diebus vitæ ejus. Chaque jour Salomon consommait en vivres: trente cors de fleur de farine et soixante cors de farine,

- Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl. (Ⅱ) - decem boves pingues, et viginti boves pascuales, et centum arietes, excepta venatione cervorum, caprearum, atque bubalorum, et avium altilium. Il dominait sur tout le pays de l'autre côté du fleuve, depuis Thiphsasch jusqu'à Gaza, sur tous les rois de l'autre côté du fleuve. Et il avait la paix de tous les côtés alentour.
- For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him. (Ⅱ) - Ipse enim obtinebat omnem regionem quæ erat trans flumen, a Thaphsa usque ad Gazan, et cunctos reges illarum regionum : et habebat pacem ex omni parte in circuitu. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃5 כי הוא רדה בכל עבר הנהר מתפסח ועד עזה בכל מלכי עבר הנהר ושלום היה לו מכל עבריו מסביב (Ⅴ)

Juda et Israël, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beer Schéba, habitèrent en sécurité, chacun sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, tout le temps de Salomon.
- And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon. (Ⅱ) - Habitabatque Juda et Israël absque timore ullo, unusquisque sub vite sua et sub ficu sua, a Dan usque Bersabee, cunctis diebus Salomonis. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃5 וישב יהודה וישראל לבטח איש תחת גפנו ותחת תאנתו מדן ועד באר שבע כל ימי שלמה ס (Ⅴ)

Salomon avait quarante mille crèches pour les chevaux destinés à ses chars, et douze mille cavaliers.
- And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen. (Ⅱ) - Et habebat Salomon quadraginta millia præsepia equorum currilium, et duodecim millia equestrium. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃5 ויהי לשלמה ארבעים אלף ארות סוסים למרכבו ושנים עשר אלף פרשים (Ⅴ)

Les intendants pourvoyaient à l'entretien du roi Salomon et de tous ceux qui s'approchaient de sa table, chacun pendant son mois; ils ne laissaient manquer de rien.
- And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing. (Ⅱ) - Nutriebantque eos supradicti regis præfecti : sed et necessaria mensæ regis Salomonis cum ingenti cura præbebant in tempore suo. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃5 וכלכלו הנצבים האלה את המלך שלמה ואת כל הקרב אל שלחן המלך שלמה איש חדשו לא יעדרו דבר (Ⅴ)

Ils faisaient aussi venir de l'orge et de la paille pour les chevaux et les coursiers dans le lieu où se trouvait le roi, chacun selon les ordres qu'il avait reçus.
- Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge. (Ⅱ) - Hordeum quoque, et paleas equorum et jumentorum, deferebant in locum ubi erat rex, juxta constitutum sibi.\ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃5 והשערים והתבן לסוסים ולרכש יבאו אל המקום אשר יהיה שם איש כמשפטו ס (Ⅴ)

Dieu donna à Salomon de la sagesse, une très grande intelligence, et des connaissances multipliées comme le sable qui est au bord de la mer.
- And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. (Ⅱ) - Dedit quoque Deus sapientiam Salomoni, et prudentiam multam nimis, et latitudinem cordis quasi arenam quæ est in littore maris. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃5 ויתן אלהים חכמה לשלמה ותבונה הרבה מאד ורחב לב כחול אשר על שפת הים (Ⅴ)

La sagesse de Salomon surpassait la sagesse de tous les fils de l'Orient et toute la sagesse des Égyptiens.
- And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. (Ⅱ) - Et præcedebat sapientia Salomonis sapientiam omnium Orientalium et Ægyptiorum, (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃5 ותרב חכמת שלמה מחכמת כל בני קדם ומכל חכמת מצרים (Ⅴ)

Il était plus sage qu'aucun homme, plus qu'Éthan, l'Ézrachite, plus qu'Héman, Calcol et Darda, les fils de Machol; et sa renommée était répandue parmi toutes les nations d'alentour.
- For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about. (Ⅱ) - et erat sapientior cunctis hominibus : sapientior Ethan Ezrahita, et Heman, et Chalcol, et Dorda filiis Mahol : et erat nominatus in universis gentibus per circuitum. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃5 ויחכם מכל האדם מאיתן האזרחי והימן וכלכל ודרדע בני מחול ויהי שמו בכל הגוים סביב (Ⅴ)

Il a prononcé trois mille sentences, et composé mille cinq cantiques.

Il a parlé sur les arbres, depuis le cèdre du Liban jusqu'à l'hysope qui sort de la muraille; il a aussi parlé sur les animaux, sur les oiseaux, sur les reptiles et sur les poissons.
- And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes. (Ⅱ) - Et disputavit super lignis a cedro quæ est in Libano, usque ad hyssopum quæ egreditur de pariete : et disseruit de jumentis, et volucribus, et reptilibus, et piscibus. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃5 וידבר על העצים מן הארז אשר בלבנון ועד האזוב אשר יצא בקיר וידבר על הבהמה ועל העוף ועל הרמש ועל הדגים (Ⅴ)

Il venait des gens de tous les peuples pour entendre la sagesse de Salomon, de la part de tous les rois de la terre qui avaient entendu parler de sa sagesse.
- And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom. (Ⅱ) - Et veniebant de cunctis populis ad audiendam sapientiam Salomonis, et ab universis regibus terræ qui audiebant sapientiam ejus. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃5 ויבאו מכל העמים לשמע את חכמת שלמה מאת כל מלכי הארץ אשר שמעו את חכמתו ס (Ⅴ)
