Ad Moab. [Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël :/ Væ super Nabo, quoniam vastata est, et confusa !/ capta est Cariathaim, confusa est fortis, et tremuit./
- Sur Moab. Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Malheur à Nebo, car elle est ravagée! Kirjathaïm est confuse, elle est prise; Misgab est confuse, elle est brisée. (Ⅱ) - Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed. Non est ultra exsultatio in Moab contra Hesebon :/ cogitaverunt malum : Venite, et disperdamus eam de gente./ Ergo silens conticesces, sequeturque te gladius./
- Elle n'est plus, la gloire de Moab; A Hesbon, on médite sa perte: Allons, exterminons-le du milieu des nations! Toi aussi, Madmen, tu seras détruite; L'épée marche derrière toi. (Ⅱ) - There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. - Car on répand des pleurs à la montée de Luchith, Et des cris de détresse retentissent à la descente de Choronaïm. (Ⅱ) - For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction. - Car, parce que tu t'es confié dans tes oeuvres et dans tes trésors, Toi aussi, tu seras pris, Et Kemosch s'en ira en captivité, Avec ses prêtres et avec ses chefs. (Ⅱ) - For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together. (Ⅲ) - 7 ׃48 כי יען בטחך במעשיך ובאוצרותיך גם את תלכדי ויצא *כמיש **כמוש בגולה כהניו ושריו *יחד **יחדיו (Ⅴ)

- Le dévastateur entrera dans chaque ville, Et aucune ville n'échappera; La vallée périra et la plaine sera détruite, Comme l'Éternel l'a dit. (Ⅱ) - And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken. (Ⅲ) - 8 ׃48 ויבא שדד אל כל עיר ועיר לא תמלט ואבד העמק ונשמד המישר אשר אמר יהוה (Ⅴ)

Date florem Moab, quia florens egredietur :/ et civitates ejus desertæ erunt, et inhabitabiles./
- Donnez des ailes à Moab, Et qu'il parte au vol! Ses villes seront réduites en désert, Elles n'auront plus d'habitants. (Ⅱ) - Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein. Fertilis fuit Moab ab adolescentia sua,/ et requievit in fæcibus suis :/ nec transfusus est de vase in vas,/ et in transmigrationem non abiit :/ idcirco permansit gustus ejus in eo,/ et odor ejus non est immutatus./
- Moab était tranquille depuis sa jeunesse, Il reposait sur sa lie, Il n'était pas vidé d'un vase dans un autre, Et il n'allait pas en captivité. Aussi son goût lui est resté, Et son odeur ne s'est pas changée. (Ⅱ) - Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed. (Ⅲ) - 11 ׃48 שאנן מואב מנעוריו ושקט הוא אל שמריו ולא הורק מכלי אל כלי ובגולה לא הלך על כן עמד טעמו בו וריחו לא נמר ס (Ⅴ)

- C'est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, Où je lui enverrai des gens qui le transvaseront; Ils videront ses vases, Et feront sauter ses outres. (Ⅱ) - Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles. Et confundetur Moab a Chamos/ sicut confusa est domus Israël a Bethel,/ in qua habebat fiduciam./
- Moab aura honte de Kemosch, Comme la maison d'Israël a eu honte De Béthel, qui la remplissait de confiance. (Ⅱ) - And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence. (Ⅲ) - 13 ׃48 ובש מואב מכמוש כאשר בשו בית ישראל מבית אל מבטחם (Ⅴ)

- Moab est ravagé, ses villes montent en fumée, L'élite de sa jeunesse est égorgée, Dit le roi, dont l'Éternel des armées est le nom. (Ⅱ) - Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts. (Ⅲ) - 15 ׃48 שדד מואב ועריה עלה ומבחר בחוריו ירדו לטבח נאם המלך יהוה צבאות שמו (Ⅴ)

- Lamentez-vous sur lui, vous tous qui l'environnez, Vous tous qui connaissez son nom! Dites: Comment ce sceptre puissant a-t-il été brisé, Ce bâton majestueux? (Ⅱ) - All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod! (Ⅲ) - 17 ׃48 נדו לו כל סביביו וכל ידעי שמו אמרו איכה נשבר מטה עז מקל תפארה (Ⅴ)

- Descends du séjour de la gloire, assieds-toi sur la terre desséchée, Habitante, fille de Dibon! Car le dévastateur de Moab monte contre toi, Il détruit tes forteresses. (Ⅱ) - Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds. - Enivrez-le, car il s'est élevé contre l'Éternel! Que Moab se roule dans son vomissement, Et qu'il devienne aussi un objet de raillerie! (Ⅱ) - Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision. (Ⅲ) - 26 ׃48 השכירהו כי על יהוה הגדיל וספק מואב בקיאו והיה לשחק גם הוא (Ⅴ)

- Israël n'a-t-il pas été pour toi un objet de raillerie? Avait-il donc été surpris parmi les voleurs, Pour que tu ne parles de lui qu'en secouant la tête? (Ⅱ) - For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy. (Ⅲ) - 27 ׃48 ואם לוא השחק היה לך ישראל אם בגנבים *נמצאה **נמצא כי מדי דבריך בו תתנודד (Ⅴ)

Relinquite civitates, et habitate in petra, habitatores Moab :/ et estote quasi columba nidificans in summo ore foraminis./
- Abandonnez les villes, et demeurez dans les rochers, Habitants de Moab! Soyez comme les colombes, Qui font leur nid sur le flanc des cavernes! (Ⅱ) - O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth. - Nous connaissons l'orgueil du superbe Moab, Sa hauteur, sa fierté, son arrogance, et son coeur altier. (Ⅱ) - We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart. (Ⅲ) - 29 ׃48 שמענו גאון מואב גאה מאד גבהו וגאונו וגאותו ורם לבו (Ⅴ)

- Je connais, dit l'Éternel, sa présomption et ses vains discours, Et ses oeuvres de néant. (Ⅱ) - I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it. (Ⅲ) - 30 ׃48 אני ידעתי[c] נאם יהוה עברתו ולא כן בדיו לא כן עשו (Ⅴ)

- C'est pourquoi je gémis sur Moab, Je gémis sur tout Moab; On soupire pour les gens de Kir Hérès. (Ⅱ) - Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kirheres. (Ⅲ) - 31 ׃48 על כן על מואב איליל ולמואב כלה אזעק אל אנשי קיר חרש יהגה (Ⅴ)

- Vigne de Sibma, je pleure sur toi plus que sur Jaezer; Tes rameaux allaient au delà de la mer, Ils s'étendaient jusqu'à la mer de Jaezer; Le dévastateur s'est jeté sur ta récolte et sur ta vendange. (Ⅱ) - O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage. (Ⅲ) - 32 ׃48 מבכי יעזר אבכה לך הגפן שבמה נטישתיך עברו ים עד ים יעזר נגעו על קיצך ועל בצירך שדד[c] נפל (Ⅴ)

Ablata est lætitia et exsultatio/ de Carmelo et de terra Moab,/ et vinum de torcularibus sustuli :/ nequaquam calcator uvæ solitum celeuma cantabit./
- La joie et l'allégresse ont disparu des campagnes Et du pays de Moab; J'ai fait tarir le vin dans les cuves; On ne foule plus gaîment au pressoir; Il y a des cris de guerre, et non des cris de joie. (Ⅱ) - And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab, and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting. (Ⅲ) - 33 ׃48 ונאספה שמחה וגיל מכרמל ומארץ מואב ויין מיקבים השבתי לא ידרך הידד הידד לא הידד (Ⅴ)

De clamore Hesebon usque Eleale et Jasa, dederunt vocem suam ;/ a Segor usque ad Oronaim, vitula conternante :/ aquæ quoque Nemrim pessimæ erunt./
- Les cris de Hesbon retentissent jusqu'à Élealé, Et ils font entendre leur voix jusqu'à Jahats, Depuis Tsoar jusqu'à Choronaïm, Jusqu'à Églath Schelischija; Car les eaux de Nimrim sont aussi ravagées. (Ⅱ) - From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate. (Ⅲ) - 34 ׃48 מזעקת חשבון עד אלעלה עד יהץ נתנו קולם מצער עד חרנים עגלת שלשיה כי גם מי נמרים למשמות יהיו (Ⅴ)

- Je veux en finir dans Moab, dit l'Éternel, Avec celui qui monte sur les hauts lieux, Et qui offre de l'encens à son dieu. (Ⅱ) - Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods. (Ⅲ) - 35 ׃48 והשבתי למואב נאם יהוה מעלה במה ומקטיר לאלהיו (Ⅴ)

Propterea cor meum ad Moab quasi tibiæ resonabit,/ et cor meum ad viros muri fictilis dabit sonitum tibiarum :/ quia plus fecit quam potuit,/ idcirco perierunt./
- Aussi mon coeur gémit comme une flûte sur Moab, Mon coeur gémit comme une flûte sur les gens de Kir Hérès, Parce que tous les biens qu'ils ont amassés sont perdus. (Ⅱ) - Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the riches that he hath gotten are perished. (Ⅲ) - 36 ׃48 על כן לבי למואב כחללים יהמה ולבי אל אנשי קיר חרש כחלילים יהמה על כן יתרת עשה אבדו (Ⅴ)

Omne enim caput calvitium,/ et omnis barba rasa erit :/ in cunctis manibus colligatio,/ et super omne dorsum cilicium :/
- Car toutes les têtes sont rasées, Toutes les barbes sont coupées; Sur toutes les mains il y a des incisions, Et sur les reins des sacs. (Ⅱ) - For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth. (Ⅲ) - 37 ׃48 כי כל ראש קרחה וכל זקן גרעה על כל ידים גדדת ועל מתנים שק (Ⅴ)

super omnia tecta Moab, et in plateis ejus,/ omnis planctus :/ quoniam contrivi Moab/ sicut vas inutile, ait Dominus./
- Sur tous les toits de Moab et dans ses places, Ce ne sont que lamentations, Parce que j'ai brisé Moab comme un vase qui n'a pas de prix, Dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith the LORD. (Ⅲ) - 38 ׃48 על כל גגות מואב וברחבתיה כלה מספד כי שברתי את מואב ככלי אין חפץ בו נאם יהוה (Ⅴ)

Quomodo victa est, et ululaverunt ?/ quomodo dejecit cervicem Moab, et confusus est ?/ eritque Moab in derisum, et in exemplum omnibus in circuitu suo./
- Comme il est brisé! Poussez des gémissements! Comme Moab tourne honteusement le dos! Moab devient un objet de raillerie et d'effroi Pour tous ceux qui l'environnent. (Ⅱ) - They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him. (Ⅲ) - 39 ׃48 איך חתה הילילו איך הפנה ערף מואב בוש והיה מואב לשחק ולמחתה לכל סביביו ס (Ⅴ)

Capta est Carioth, et munitiones comprehensæ sunt :/ et erit cor fortium Moab in die illa/ sicut cor mulieris parturientis,/
- Kerijoth est prise, Les forteresses sont emportées, Et le coeur des héros de Moab est en ce jour Comme le coeur d'une femme en travail. (Ⅱ) - Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs. (Ⅲ) - 41 ׃48 נלכדה הקריות והמצדות נתפשה והיה לב גבורי מואב ביום ההוא כלב אשה מצרה (Ⅴ)

et cessabit Moab esse populus,/ quoniam contra Dominum gloriatus est./
- Moab sera exterminé, il cessera d'être un peuple, Car il s'est élevé contre l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD. (Ⅲ) - 42 ׃48 ונשמד מואב מעם כי על יהוה הגדיל (Ⅴ)

Pavor, et fovea,/ et laqueus super te,/ o habitator Moab, dicit Dominus./
- La terreur, la fosse, et le filet, Sont sur toi, habitant de Moab! Dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD. (Ⅲ) - 43 ׃48 פחד ופחת ופח עליך יושב מואב נאם יהוה (Ⅴ)

Qui fugerit a facie pavoris cadet in foveam,/ et qui conscenderit de fovea capietur laqueo :/ adducam enim super Moab annum visitationis eorum, ait Dominus./
- Celui qui fuit devant la terreur tombe dans la fosse, Et celui qui remonte de la fosse se prend au filet; Car je fais venir sur lui, sur Moab, L'année de son châtiment, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD. (Ⅲ) - 44 ׃48 *הניס **הנס מפני הפחד יפל אל הפחת והעלה מן הפחת ילכד בפח כי אביא אליה אל מואב שנת פקדתם נאם יהוה (Ⅴ)

In umbra Hesebon steterunt de laqueo fugientes,/ quia ignis egressus est de Hesebon,/ et flamma de medio Seon :/ et devorabit partem Moab,/ et verticem filiorum tumultus./
- A l'ombre de Hesbon les fuyards s'arrêtent épuisés; Mais il sort un feu de Hesbon, Une flamme du milieu de Sihon; Elle dévore les flancs de Moab, Et le sommet de la tête des fils du tumulte. (Ⅱ) - They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones. (Ⅲ) - 45 ׃48 בצל חשבון עמדו מכח נסים כי אש יצא מחשבון ולהבה מבין סיחון ותאכל פאת מואב וקדקד בני שאון (Ⅴ)

Væ tibi, Moab :/ periisti, popule Chamos,/ quia comprehensi sunt filii tui/ et filiæ tuæ in captivitatem./
- Malheur à toi, Moab! Le peuple de Kemosch est perdu! Car tes fils sont emmenés captifs, Et tes filles captives. (Ⅱ) - Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives. (Ⅲ) - 46 ׃48 אוי לך מואב אבד עם כמוש כי לקחו בניך בשבי ובנתיך בשביה (Ⅴ)

Et convertam captivitatem Moab in novissimis diebus, ait Dominus.] Hucusque judicia Moab.
- Mais je ramènerai les captifs de Moab, dans la suite des temps, Dit l'Éternel. Tel est le jugement sur Moab. (Ⅱ) - Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab. (Ⅲ) - 47 ׃48 ושבתי שבות מואב באחרית הימים נאם יהוה עד הנה משפט מואב ס (Ⅴ)
