5. 1  
Ils arrivèrent à l'autre bord de la mer, dans le pays des Gadaréniens.
- And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὸ πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης εἰς τὴν χώραν τῶν ⸀Γερασηνῶν. (Ⅲ)
- Et venerunt trans fretum maris in regionem Gerasenorum. (Ⅳ)
5. 2  
Aussitôt que Jésus fut hors de la barque, il vint au-devant de lui un homme, sortant des sépulcres, et possédé d'un esprit impur.
- And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸂ἐξελθόντος αὐτοῦ⸃ ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου ⸂εὐθὺς ὑπήντησεν⸃ αὐτῷ ἐκ τῶν μνημείων ἄνθρωπος ἐν πνεύματι ἀκαθάρτῳ, (Ⅲ)
- Et exeunti ei de navi, statim occurrit de monumentis homo in spiritu immundo, (Ⅳ)
5. 3  
Cet homme avait sa demeure dans les sépulcres, et personne ne pouvait plus le lier, même avec une chaîne.
- Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: (Ⅱ)
- ὃς τὴν κατοίκησιν εἶχεν ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν, καὶ ⸂οὐδὲ ἁλύσει οὐκέτι⸃ οὐδεὶς ἐδύνατο αὐτὸν δῆσαι (Ⅲ)
- qui domicilium habebat in monumentis, et neque catenis jam quisquam poterat eum ligare : (Ⅳ)
5. 4  
Car souvent il avait eu les fers aux pieds et avait été lié de chaînes, mais il avait rompu les chaînes et brisé les fers, et personne n'avait la force de le dompter.
- Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. (Ⅱ)
- διὰ τὸ αὐτὸν πολλάκις πέδαις καὶ ἁλύσεσι δεδέσθαι καὶ διεσπάσθαι ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ τὰς ἁλύσεις καὶ τὰς πέδας συντετρῖφθαι, καὶ οὐδεὶς ⸂ἴσχυεν αὐτὸν⸃ δαμάσαι· (Ⅲ)
- quoniam sæpe compedibus et catenis vinctus, dirupisset catenas, et compedes comminuisset, et nemo poterat eum domare : (Ⅳ)

Il était sans cesse, nuit et jour, dans les sépulcres et sur les montagnes, criant, et se meurtrissant avec des pierres.
- And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ διὰ παντὸς νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας ἐν τοῖς ⸂μνήμασιν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ὄρεσιν⸃ ἦν κράζων καὶ κατακόπτων ἑαυτὸν λίθοις. (Ⅲ)
- et semper die ac nocte in monumentis, et in montibus erat, clamans, et concidens se lapidibus. (Ⅳ)

Ayant vu Jésus de loin, il accourut, se prosterna devant lui,
- But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, (Ⅱ)
- ⸂καὶ ἰδὼν⸃ τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔδραμεν καὶ προσεκύνησεν ⸀αὐτόν, (Ⅲ)
- Videns autem Jesum a longe, cucurrit, et adoravit eum : (Ⅳ)
5. 7  
et s'écria d'une voix forte: Qu'y a-t-il entre moi et toi, Jésus, Fils du Dieu Très Haut? Je t'en conjure au nom de Dieu, ne me tourmente pas.
- And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ κράξας φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ⸀λέγει· Τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί, Ἰησοῦ υἱὲ τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ὑψίστου; ὁρκίζω σε τὸν θεόν, μή με βασανίσῃς. (Ⅲ)
- et clamans voce magna dixit : Quid mihi et tibi, Jesu Fili Dei altissimi ? adjuro te per Deum, ne me torqueas. (Ⅳ)
5. 8  
Car Jésus lui disait: Sors de cet homme, esprit impur!
- For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. (Ⅱ)
- ἔλεγεν γὰρ αὐτῷ· Ἔξελθε τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἀκάθαρτον ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου. (Ⅲ)
- Dicebat enim illi : Exi spiritus immunde ab homine. (Ⅳ)
5. 9  
Et, il lui demanda: Quel est ton nom? Légion est mon nom, lui répondit-il, car nous sommes plusieurs.
- And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπηρώτα αὐτόν· Τί ⸂ὄνομά σοι⸃; καὶ ⸂λέγει αὐτῷ⸃· ⸀Λεγιὼν ὄνομά μοι, ὅτι πολλοί ἐσμεν· (Ⅲ)
- Et interrogabat eum : Quod tibi nomen est ? Et dicit ei : Legio mihi nomen est, quia multi sumus. (Ⅳ)

Et il le priait instamment de ne pas les envoyer hors du pays.
- And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ παρεκάλει αὐτὸν πολλὰ ἵνα μὴ ⸀αὐτὰ ἀποστείλῃ ἔξω τῆς χώρας. (Ⅲ)
- Et deprecabatur eum multum, ne se expelleret extra regionem. (Ⅳ)
5. 11  
Il y avait là, vers la montagne, un grand troupeau de pourceaux qui paissaient.
- Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. (Ⅱ)
- ἦν δὲ ἐκεῖ πρὸς τῷ ὄρει ἀγέλη χοίρων μεγάλη βοσκομένη· (Ⅲ)
- Erat autem ibi circa montem grex porcorum magnus, pascens. (Ⅳ)
5. 12  
Et les démons le prièrent, disant: Envoie-nous dans ces pourceaux, afin que nous entrions en eux.
- And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ παρεκάλεσαν ⸀αὐτὸν λέγοντες· Πέμψον ἡμᾶς εἰς τοὺς χοίρους, ἵνα εἰς αὐτοὺς εἰσέλθωμεν. (Ⅲ)
- Et deprecabantur eum spiritus, dicentes : Mitte nos in porcos ut in eos introëamus. (Ⅳ)
5. 13  
Il le leur permit. Et les esprits impurs sortirent, entrèrent dans les pourceaux, et le troupeau se précipita des pentes escarpées dans la mer: il y en avait environ deux mille, et ils se noyèrent dans la mer.
- And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπέτρεψεν ⸀αὐτοῖς. καὶ ἐξελθόντα τὰ πνεύματα τὰ ἀκάθαρτα εἰσῆλθον εἰς τοὺς χοίρους, καὶ ὥρμησεν ἡ ἀγέλη κατὰ τοῦ κρημνοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, ⸀ὡς δισχίλιοι, καὶ ἐπνίγοντο ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ. (Ⅲ)
- Et concessit eis statim Jesus. Et exeuntes spiritus immundi introierunt in porcos : et magno impetu grex præcipitatus est in mare ad duo millia, et suffocati sunt in mari. (Ⅳ)
5. 14  
Ceux qui les faisaient paître s'enfuirent, et répandirent la nouvelle dans la ville et dans les campagnes. Les gens allèrent voir ce qui était arrivé.
- And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. (Ⅱ)
- ⸂Καὶ οἱ⸃ βόσκοντες ⸀αὐτοὺς ἔφυγον καὶ ⸀ἀπήγγειλαν εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ εἰς τοὺς ἀγρούς· καὶ ⸀ἦλθον ἰδεῖν τί ἐστιν τὸ γεγονός. (Ⅲ)
- Qui autem pascebant eos, fugerunt, et nuntiaverunt in civitatem et in agros. Et egressi sunt videre quid esset factum : (Ⅳ)
5. 15  
Ils vinrent auprès de Jésus, et ils virent le démoniaque, celui qui avait eu la légion, assis, vêtu, et dans son bon sens; et ils furent saisis de frayeur.
- And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔρχονται πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν, καὶ θεωροῦσιν τὸν δαιμονιζόμενον ⸀καθήμενον ἱματισμένον καὶ σωφρονοῦντα, τὸν ἐσχηκότα τὸν ⸀λεγιῶνα, καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν. (Ⅲ)
- et veniunt ad Jesum : et vident illum qui a dæmonio vexabatur, sedentem, vestitum, et sanæ mentis, et timuerunt. (Ⅳ)
5. 16  
Ceux qui avaient vu ce qui s'était passé leur racontèrent ce qui était arrivé au démoniaque et aux pourceaux.
- And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. (Ⅱ)
- ⸂καὶ διηγήσαντο⸃ αὐτοῖς οἱ ἰδόντες πῶς ἐγένετο τῷ δαιμονιζομένῳ καὶ περὶ τῶν χοίρων. (Ⅲ)
- Et narraverunt illis, qui viderant, qualiter factum esset ei qui dæmonium habuerat, et de porcis. (Ⅳ)
5. 17  
Alors ils se mirent à supplier Jésus de quitter leur territoire.
- And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἤρξαντο παρακαλεῖν αὐτὸν ἀπελθεῖν ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν. (Ⅲ)
- Et rogare cœperunt eum ut discederet de finibus eorum. (Ⅳ)
5. 18  
Comme il montait dans la barque, celui qui avait été démoniaque lui demanda la permission de rester avec lui.
- And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀ἐμβαίνοντος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ πλοῖον παρεκάλει αὐτὸν ὁ δαιμονισθεὶς ἵνα ⸂μετ’ αὐτοῦ ᾖ⸃. (Ⅲ)
- Cumque ascenderet navim, cœpit illum deprecari, qui a dæmonio vexatus fuerat, ut esset cum illo, (Ⅳ)
5. 19  
Jésus ne le lui permit pas, mais il lui dit: Va dans ta maison, vers les tiens, et raconte-leur tout ce que le Seigneur t'a fait, et comment il a eu pitié de toi.
- Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀καὶ οὐκ ἀφῆκεν αὐτόν, ἀλλὰ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου πρὸς τοὺς σούς, καὶ ⸀ἀπάγγειλον αὐτοῖς ὅσα ⸂ὁ κύριός σοι⸃ πεποίηκεν καὶ ἠλέησέν σε. (Ⅲ)
- et non admisit eum, sed ait illi : Vade in domum tuam ad tuos, et annuntia illis quanta tibi Dominus fecerit, et misertus sit tui. (Ⅳ)
5. 20  
Il s'en alla, et se mit à publier dans la Décapole tout ce que Jésus avait fait pour lui. Et tous furent dans l'étonnement.
- And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀπῆλθεν καὶ ἤρξατο κηρύσσειν ἐν τῇ Δεκαπόλει ὅσα ἐποίησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς, καὶ πάντες ἐθαύμαζον. (Ⅲ)
- Et abiit, et cœpit prædicare in Decapoli, quanta sibi fecisset Jesus : et omnes mirabantur. (Ⅳ)
5. 21  
Jésus dans la barque regagna l'autre rive, où une grande foule s'assembla près de lui. Il était au bord de la mer.
- And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. (Ⅱ)
- Καὶ διαπεράσαντος τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ πάλιν εἰς τὸ πέραν συνήχθη ὄχλος πολὺς ἐπ’ αὐτόν, καὶ ἦν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν. (Ⅲ)
- Et cum transcendisset Jesus in navi rursum trans fretum, convenit turba multa ad eum, et erat circa mare.\ (Ⅳ)
5. 22  
Alors vint un des chefs de la synagogue, nommé Jaïrus, qui, l'ayant aperçu, se jeta à ses pieds,
- And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, (Ⅱ)
- ⸀καὶ ἔρχεται εἷς τῶν ἀρχισυναγώγων, ὀνόματι Ἰάϊρος, καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὸν πίπτει πρὸς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ (Ⅲ)
- Et venit quidam de archisynagogis nomine Jairus, et videns eum procidit ad pedes ejus, (Ⅳ)
5. 23  
et lui adressa cette instante prière: Ma petite fille est à l'extrémité, viens, impose-lui les mains, afin qu'elle soit sauvée et qu'elle vive.
- And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀παρακαλεῖ αὐτὸν πολλὰ λέγων ὅτι Τὸ θυγάτριόν μου ἐσχάτως ἔχει, ἵνα ἐλθὼν ἐπιθῇς ⸂τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῇ⸃ ⸀ἵνα σωθῇ καὶ ⸀ζήσῃ. (Ⅲ)
- et deprecabatur eum multum, dicens : Quoniam filia mea in extremis est, veni, impone manum super eam, ut salva sit, et vivat. (Ⅳ)
5. 24  
Jésus s'en alla avec lui. Et une grande foule le suivait et le pressait.
- And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀπῆλθεν μετ’ αὐτοῦ. Καὶ ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ ὄχλος πολύς, καὶ συνέθλιβον αὐτόν. (Ⅲ)
- Et abiit cum illo, et sequebatur eum turba multa, et comprimebant eum. (Ⅳ)
5. 25  
Or, il y avait une femme atteinte d'une perte de sang depuis douze ans.
- And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀γυνὴ οὖσα ἐν ῥύσει αἵματος ⸂δώδεκα ἔτη⸃ (Ⅲ)
- Et mulier, quæ erat in profluvio sanguinis annis duodecim, (Ⅳ)
5. 26  
Elle avait beaucoup souffert entre les mains de plusieurs médecins, elle avait dépensé tout ce qu'elle possédait, et elle n'avait éprouvé aucun soulagement, mais était allée plutôt en empirant.
- And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, (Ⅱ)
- καὶ πολλὰ παθοῦσα ὑπὸ πολλῶν ἰατρῶν καὶ δαπανήσασα τὰ παρ’ αὐτῆς πάντα καὶ μηδὲν ὠφεληθεῖσα ἀλλὰ μᾶλλον εἰς τὸ χεῖρον ἐλθοῦσα, (Ⅲ)
- et fuerat multa perpessa a compluribus medicis : et erogaverat omnia sua, nec quidquam profecerat, sed magis deterius habebat : (Ⅳ)
5. 27  
Ayant entendu parler de Jésus, elle vint dans la foule par derrière, et toucha son vêtement.
- When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀ἀκούσασα περὶ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ, ἐλθοῦσα ἐν τῷ ὄχλῳ ὄπισθεν ἥψατο τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ· (Ⅲ)
- cum audisset de Jesu, venit in turba retro, et tetigit vestimentum ejus : (Ⅳ)
5. 28  
Car elle disait: Si je puis seulement toucher ses vêtements, je serai guérie.
- For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. (Ⅱ)
- ἔλεγεν γὰρ ὅτι ⸂Ἐὰν ἅψωμαι κἂν τῶν ἱματίων αὐτοῦ⸃ σωθήσομαι. (Ⅲ)
- dicebat enim : Quia si vel vestimentum ejus tetigero, salva ero. (Ⅳ)
5. 29  
Au même instant la perte de sang s'arrêta, et elle sentit dans son corps qu'elle était guérie de son mal.
- And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐξηράνθη ἡ πηγὴ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτῆς, καὶ ἔγνω τῷ σώματι ὅτι ἴαται ἀπὸ τῆς μάστιγος. (Ⅲ)
- Et confestim siccatus est fons sanguinis ejus : et sensit corpore quia sanata esset a plaga. (Ⅳ)
5. 30  
Jésus connut aussitôt en lui-même qu'une force était sortie de lui; et, se retournant au milieu de la foule, il dit: Qui a touché mes vêtements?
- And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐπιγνοὺς ἐν ἑαυτῷ τὴν ἐξ αὐτοῦ δύναμιν ἐξελθοῦσαν ἐπιστραφεὶς ἐν τῷ ὄχλῳ ἔλεγεν· Τίς μου ἥψατο τῶν ἱματίων; (Ⅲ)
- Et statim Jesus in semetipso cognoscens virtutem quæ exierat de illo, conversus ad turbam, aiebat : Quis tetigit vestimenta mea ? (Ⅳ)
5. 31  
Ses disciples lui dirent: Tu vois la foule qui te presse, et tu dis: Qui m'a touché?
- And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἔλεγον αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ· Βλέπεις τὸν ὄχλον συνθλίβοντά σε, καὶ λέγεις· Τίς μου ἥψατο; (Ⅲ)
- Et dicebant ei discipuli sui : Vides turbam comprimentem te, et dicis : Quis me tetigit ? (Ⅳ)
5. 32  
Et il regardait autour de lui, pour voir celle qui avait fait cela.
- And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ περιεβλέπετο ἰδεῖν τὴν τοῦτο ποιήσασαν. (Ⅲ)
- Et circumspiciebat videre eam, quæ hoc fecerat. (Ⅳ)
5. 33  
La femme, effrayée et tremblante, sachant ce qui s'était passé en elle, vint se jeter à ses pieds, et lui dit toute la vérité.
- But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. (Ⅱ)
- ἡ δὲ γυνὴ φοβηθεῖσα καὶ τρέμουσα, εἰδυῖα ὃ γέγονεν ⸀αὐτῇ, ἦλθεν καὶ προσέπεσεν αὐτῷ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ πᾶσαν τὴν ἀλήθειαν. (Ⅲ)
- Mulier vero timens et tremens, sciens quod factum esset in se, venit et procidit ante eum, et dixit ei omnem veritatem. (Ⅳ)
5. 34  
Mais Jésus lui dit: Ma fille, ta foi t'a sauvée; va en paix, et sois guérie de ton mal.
- And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ· ⸀Θυγάτηρ, ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε· ὕπαγε εἰς εἰρήνην, καὶ ἴσθι ὑγιὴς ἀπὸ τῆς μάστιγός σου. (Ⅲ)
- Ille autem dixit ei : Filia, fides tua te salvam fecit : vade in pace, et esto sana a plaga tua. (Ⅳ)
5. 35  
Comme il parlait encore, survinrent de chez le chef de la synagogue des gens qui dirent: Ta fille est morte; pourquoi importuner davantage le maître?
- While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? (Ⅱ)
- Ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος ἔρχονται ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγου λέγοντες ὅτι Ἡ θυγάτηρ σου ἀπέθανεν· τί ἔτι σκύλλεις τὸν διδάσκαλον; (Ⅲ)
- Adhuc eo loquente, veniunt ab archisynagogo, dicentes : Quia filia tua mortua est : quid ultra vexas magistrum ? (Ⅳ)
5. 36  
Mais Jésus, sans tenir compte de ces paroles, dit au chef de la synagogue: Ne crains pas, crois seulement.
- As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ⸀παρακούσας τὸν λόγον λαλούμενον λέγει τῷ ἀρχισυναγώγῳ· Μὴ φοβοῦ, μόνον πίστευε. (Ⅲ)
- Jesus autem audito verbo quod dicebatur, ait archisynagogo : Noli timere : tantummodo crede. (Ⅳ)
5. 37  
Et il ne permit à personne de l'accompagner, si ce n'est à Pierre, à Jacques, et à Jean, frère de Jacques.
- And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ οὐκ ἀφῆκεν οὐδένα ⸂μετ’ αὐτοῦ⸃ συνακολουθῆσαι εἰ μὴ ⸀τὸν Πέτρον καὶ Ἰάκωβον καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν Ἰακώβου. (Ⅲ)
- Et non admisit quemquam se sequi nisi Petrum, et Jacobum, et Joannem fratrem Jacobi. (Ⅳ)
5. 38  
Ils arrivèrent à la maison du chef de la synagogue, où Jésus vit une foule bruyante et des gens qui pleuraient et poussaient de grands cris.
- And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀ἔρχονται εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγου, καὶ θεωρεῖ θόρυβον ⸀καὶ κλαίοντας καὶ ἀλαλάζοντας πολλά, (Ⅲ)
- Et veniunt in domum archisynagogi, et videt tumultum, et flentes, et ejulantes multum. (Ⅳ)

Il entra, et leur dit: Pourquoi faites-vous du bruit, et pourquoi pleurez-vous? L'enfant n'est pas morte, mais elle dort.
- And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ εἰσελθὼν λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τί θορυβεῖσθε καὶ κλαίετε; τὸ παιδίον οὐκ ἀπέθανεν ἀλλὰ καθεύδει. (Ⅲ)
- Et ingressus, ait illis : Quid turbamini, et ploratis ? puella non est mortua, sed dormit. (Ⅳ)
5. 40  
Et ils se moquaient de lui. Alors, ayant fait sortir tout le monde, il prit avec lui le père et la mère de l'enfant, et ceux qui l'avaient accompagné, et il entra là où était l'enfant.
- And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ κατεγέλων αὐτοῦ. ⸀αὐτὸς δὲ ἐκβαλὼν πάντας παραλαμβάνει τὸν πατέρα τοῦ παιδίου καὶ τὴν μητέρα καὶ τοὺς μετ’ αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἰσπορεύεται ὅπου ἦν τὸ ⸀παιδίον· (Ⅲ)
- Et irridebant eum. Ipse vero ejectis omnibus assumit patrem, et matrem puellæ, et qui secum erant, et ingreditur ubi puella erat jacens. (Ⅳ)
5. 41  
Il la saisit par la main, et lui dit: Talitha koumi, ce qui signifie: Jeune fille, lève-toi, je te le dis.
- And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ κρατήσας τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ παιδίου λέγει αὐτῇ· Ταλιθα ⸀κουμ, ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον· Τὸ κοράσιον, σοὶ λέγω, ⸀ἔγειρε. (Ⅲ)
- Et tenens manum puellæ, ait illi : Talitha cumi, quod est interpretatum : Puella (tibi dico), surge. (Ⅳ)
5. 42  
Aussitôt la jeune fille se leva, et se mit à marcher; car elle avait douze ans. Et ils furent dans un grand étonnement.
- And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἀνέστη τὸ κοράσιον καὶ περιεπάτει, ἦν γὰρ ἐτῶν δώδεκα. καὶ ἐξέστησαν ⸁εὐθὺς ἐκστάσει μεγάλῃ. (Ⅲ)
- Et confestim surrexit puella, et ambulabat : erat autem annorum duodecim : et obstupuerunt stupore magno. (Ⅳ)
5. 43  
Jésus leur adressa de fortes recommandations, pour que personne ne sût la chose; et il dit qu'on donnât à manger à la jeune fille.
- And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ διεστείλατο αὐτοῖς πολλὰ ἵνα μηδεὶς γνοῖ τοῦτο, καὶ εἶπεν δοθῆναι αὐτῇ φαγεῖν. (Ⅲ)
- Et præcepit illis vehementer ut nemo id sciret : et dixit dari illi manducare. (Ⅳ)
