τοῦτο δὲ ἀφ’ ἑαυτοῦ οὐκ εἶπεν, ἀλλὰ ἀρχιερεὺς ὢν τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ ἐκείνου ἐπροφήτευσεν ὅτι ἔμελλεν Ἰησοῦς ἀποθνῄσκειν ὑπὲρ τοῦ ἔθνους,
- Or, il ne dit pas cela de lui-même; mais étant souverain sacrificateur cette année-là, il prophétisa que Jésus devait mourir pour la nation. (Ⅱ) - And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; (Ⅲ) - Hoc autem a semetipso non dixit : sed cum esset pontifex anni illius, prophetavit, quod Jesus moriturus erat pro gente, (Ⅳ)

καὶ οὐχ ὑπὲρ τοῦ ἔθνους μόνον, ἀλλ’ ἵνα καὶ τὰ τέκνα τοῦ θεοῦ τὰ διεσκορπισμένα συναγάγῃ εἰς ἕν.
- Et ce n'était pas pour la nation seulement; c'était aussi afin de réunir en un seul corps les enfants de Dieu dispersés. (Ⅱ) - And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. (Ⅲ) - et non tantum pro gente, sed ut filios Dei, qui erant dispersi, congregaret in unum. (Ⅳ)

ἀπ’ ἐκείνης οὖν τῆς ἡμέρας ⸀ἐβουλεύσαντο ἵνα ἀποκτείνωσιν αὐτόν.
- Dès ce jour, ils résolurent de le faire mourir. (Ⅱ) - Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death. (Ⅲ) - Ab illo ergo die cogitaverunt ut interficerent eum.\ (Ⅳ)

⸂Ὁ οὖν Ἰησοῦς⸃ οὐκέτι παρρησίᾳ περιεπάτει ἐν τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις, ἀλλὰ ἀπῆλθεν ἐκεῖθεν εἰς τὴν χώραν ἐγγὺς τῆς ἐρήμου, εἰς Ἐφραὶμ λεγομένην πόλιν, κἀκεῖ ⸀ἔμεινεν μετὰ τῶν ⸀μαθητῶν.
- C'est pourquoi Jésus ne se montra plus ouvertement parmi les Juifs; mais il se retira dans la contrée voisine du désert, dans une ville appelée Éphraïm; et là il demeurait avec ses disciples. (Ⅱ) - Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples. (Ⅲ) - Jesus ergo jam non in palam ambulabat apud Judæos, sed abiit in regionem juxta desertum, in civitatem quæ dicitur Ephrem, et ibi morabatur cum discipulis suis. (Ⅳ)

Ἦν δὲ ἐγγὺς τὸ πάσχα τῶν Ἰουδαίων, καὶ ἀνέβησαν πολλοὶ εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα ἐκ τῆς χώρας πρὸ τοῦ πάσχα ἵνα ἁγνίσωσιν ἑαυτούς.
- La Pâque des Juifs était proche. Et beaucoup de gens du pays montèrent à Jérusalem avant la Pâque, pour se purifier. (Ⅱ) - And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves. (Ⅲ) - Proximum autem erat Pascha Judæorum, et ascenderunt multi Jerosolymam de regione ante Pascha, ut sanctificarent seipsos. (Ⅳ)

ἐζήτουν οὖν τὸν Ἰησοῦν καὶ ἔλεγον μετ’ ἀλλήλων ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ ἑστηκότες· Τί δοκεῖ ὑμῖν; ὅτι οὐ μὴ ἔλθῃ εἰς τὴν ἑορτήν;
- Ils cherchaient Jésus, et ils se disaient les uns aux autres dans le temple: Que vous en semble? Ne viendra-t-il pas à la fête? (Ⅱ) - Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast? (Ⅲ) - Quærebant ergo Jesum, et colloquebantur ad invicem, in templo stantes : Quid putatis, quia non venit ad diem festum ? (Ⅳ)

δεδώκεισαν ⸀δὲ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι ⸀ἐντολὰς ἵνα ἐάν τις γνῷ ποῦ ἐστιν μηνύσῃ, ὅπως πιάσωσιν αὐτόν.
- Or, les principaux sacrificateurs et les pharisiens avaient donné l'ordre que, si quelqu'un savait où il était, il le déclarât, afin qu'on se saisît de lui. (Ⅱ) - Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him. (Ⅲ) - Dederant autem pontifices et pharisæi mandatum ut si quis cognoverit ubi sit, indicet, ut apprehendant eum. (Ⅳ)
