Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being,
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ) - The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ) - In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ) - بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (Ⅳ) - Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)

107.

Hast thou seen him who cries lies to the Doom?
- Araayta allathee yukaththibu bialddeeni (Ⅰ) - Have you considered him who calls the judgment (or Religion) a lie? (Ⅱ) - Hast thou observed him who belieth religion ? (Ⅲ) - بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ (Ⅳ) - Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)? (Ⅵ)

107.

That is he who repulses the orphan
- Fathalika allathee yaduAAAAu alyateema (Ⅰ) - He it is who pushes the orphan away; (Ⅱ) - That is he who repelleth the orphan, (Ⅲ) - فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ (Ⅳ) - Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness), (Ⅵ)

and urges not the feeding of the needy.
- Wala yahuddu AAala taAAami almiskeeni (Ⅰ) - And urges not (others) to feed the needy. (Ⅱ) - And urgeth not the feeding of the needy. (Ⅲ) - وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ (Ⅳ) - And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. (Ⅵ)

So woe to those that pray
- Fawaylun lilmusalleena (Ⅰ) - But woe to those who pray (Ⅱ) - Ah, woe unto worshippers (Ⅲ) - فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ (Ⅳ) - So woe to the worshippers (Ⅵ)

and are heedless of their prayers,
- Allatheena hum AAan salatihim sahoona (Ⅰ) - But are careless in their prayers, (Ⅱ) - Who are heedless of their prayer; (Ⅲ) - الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ (Ⅳ) - Who are neglectful of their prayers, (Ⅵ)

to those who make display
- Allatheena hum yuraoona (Ⅰ) - Who pretend for show (Ⅱ) - Who would be seen (at worship) (Ⅲ) - الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ (Ⅳ) - Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), (Ⅵ)

and refuse charity.
- WayamnaAAoona almaAAoona (Ⅰ) - Yet withhold small kindnesses (or necessaries). (Ⅱ) - Yet refuse small kindnesses! (Ⅲ) - وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ (Ⅳ) - But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs. (Ⅵ)
