- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ) - The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅱ) - In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅲ) - Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅳ) - Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)

- Hameem (Ⅰ) - Ha Mim! (Ⅱ) - Ha. Mim. (Ⅲ) - Ha Mim (Ⅳ) - Ha-Mim. (Ⅵ)

وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ
- Waalkitabi almubeeni (Ⅰ) - By the Book that makes plain. (Ⅱ) - By the Scripture that maketh plain (Ⅲ) - By the Clear Book. (Ⅳ) - By the Book that makes things clear;- (Ⅵ)

44.

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ
- Inna anzalnahu fee laylatin mubarakatin inna kunna munthireena (Ⅰ) - Lo! We revealed it on a blessed night - Lo! We are ever warning (against evil and its consequences) - (Ⅱ) - Lo! We revealed it on a blessed night - Lo! We are ever warning - (Ⅲ) - We have sent it down in a blessed night (We are ever warning) (Ⅳ) - We sent it down during a Blessed Night: for We (ever) wish to warn (against Evil). (Ⅵ)

44.
4
فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ
- Feeha yufraqu kullu amrin hakeemin (Ⅰ) - Therein (the blessed night) every wise affair is made clear, (Ⅱ) - Whereon every wise command is made clear (Ⅲ) - therein every wise bidding (Ⅳ) - In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom, (Ⅵ)

44.
5
أَمْرًا مِّنْ عِندِنَا ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ
- Amran min AAindina inna kunna mursileena (Ⅰ) - A command from Us; surely We are ever the senders (of revelations), (Ⅱ) - As a command from Our presence - Lo! We are ever sending - (Ⅲ) - determined as a bidding from Us, (We are ever sending) (Ⅳ) - By command, from Our Presence. For We (ever) send (revelations), (Ⅵ)
|

|
|
44.
6
رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
- Rahmatan min rabbika innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu (Ⅰ) - As a mercy from your Lord. Surely He is the Hearer, the Knower, (Ⅱ) - A mercy from thy Lord. Lo! He, even He is the Hearer, the Knower, (Ⅲ) - as a mercy from thy Lord (surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing) (Ⅳ) - As Mercy from thy Lord: for He hears and knows (all things); (Ⅵ)

44.
7
رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
- Rabbi alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena (Ⅰ) - The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure (in faith.) (Ⅱ) - Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye would be sure. (Ⅲ) - Lord of the heavens and earth, and all that between them is if you have faith. (Ⅳ) - The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all between them, if ye (but) have an assured faith. (Ⅵ)

44.
8
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
- La ilaha illa huwa yuhyee wayumeetu rabbukum warabbu abaikumu alawwaleena (Ⅰ) - There is no God but He; He quickens and causes death, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers. (Ⅱ) - There is no God save Him. He quickeneth and giveth death; your Lord and Lord of your forefathers. (Ⅲ) - There is no god but He; He gives life and makes to die; your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients. (Ⅳ) - There is no god but He: It is He Who gives life and gives death,- The Lord and Cherisher to you and your earliest ancestors. (Ⅵ)

44.
9
بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ يَلْعَبُونَ
- Bal hum fee shakkin yalAAaboona (Ⅰ) - Nay, but they make sport in doubt, (Ⅱ) - Nay, but they play in doubt. (Ⅲ) - Nay, but they are in doubt, playing. (Ⅳ) - Yet they play about in doubt. (Ⅵ)

44.
10
فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
- Fairtaqib yawma tatee alssamao bidukhanin mubeenin (Ⅰ) - Therefore, keep waiting for the day when the heaven shall bring evident smoke (or mist), (Ⅱ) - But watch thou (O Muhammad) for the day when the sky will produce visible smoke (Ⅲ) - So be on the watch for a day when heaven shall bring a manifest smoke (Ⅳ) - Then watch thou for the Day that the sky will bring forth a kind of smoke (or mist) plainly visible, (Ⅵ)

|
44.
11
يَغْشَى النَّاسَ ۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
- Yaghsha alnnasa hatha AAathabun aleemun (Ⅰ) - That shall overtake men; this is a painful punishment. (Ⅱ) - That will envelop the people. This will be a painful torment. (Ⅲ) - covering the people; this is a painful chastisement. (Ⅳ) - Enveloping the people: this will be a Penalty Grievous. (Ⅵ)

44.
12
رَّبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ
- Rabbana ikshif AAanna alAAathaba inna muminoona (Ⅰ) - (They pray,) "Our Lord! Remove from us the punishment; surely we are believers." (Ⅱ) - (Then they will say): Our Lord relieve us of the torment. Lo! we are believers. (Ⅲ) - ´O our Lord, remove Thou from us the chastisement; we are believers.´ (Ⅳ) - (They will say:) "Our Lord! remove the Penalty from us, for we do really believe!" (Ⅵ)

44.
13
أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ
- Anna lahumu alththikra waqad jaahum rasoolun mubeenun (Ⅰ) - How can they remember (or understand Allah or the message), when a Messenger making clear (the truth) had already come to them, (Ⅱ) - How can there be remembrance for them, when a messenger making plain (the Truth) had already come unto them, (Ⅲ) - How should they have the Reminder, seeing a clear Messenger already came to them, (Ⅳ) - How shall the message be (effectual) for them, seeing that an Messenger explaining things clearly has (already) come to them,- (Ⅵ)

44.
14
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ
- Thumma tawallaw AAanhu waqaloo muAAallamun majnoonun (Ⅰ) - Butt they had turned their backs on him and said, "He is one taught by others, a madman." (Ⅱ) - And they had turned away from him and said: One taught (by others), a madman ? (Ⅲ) - then they turned away from him and said, ´A man tutored, possessed!´ (Ⅳ) - Yet they turn away from him and say: "Tutored (by others), a man possessed!" (Ⅵ)

44.
15
إِنَّا كَاشِفُو الْعَذَابِ قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَائِدُونَ
- Inna kashifoo alAAathabi qaleelan innakum AAaidoona (Ⅰ) - Lo! We remove the punishment a little, (but) you will surely return (to evil). (Ⅱ) - Lo! We withdraw the torment a little. Lo! ye return (to disbelief). (Ⅲ) - ´Behold, We are removing the chastisement a little; behold, you revert!´ (Ⅳ) - We shall indeed remove the Penalty for a while, (but) truly ye will revert (to your ways). (Ⅵ)

44.
16
يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ الْبَطْشَةَ الْكُبْرَىٰ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ
- Yawma nabtishu albatshata alkubra inna muntaqimoona (Ⅰ) - On the day when We will seize them with a mighty seizing, We will indeed exact retribution. (Ⅱ) - On the day when We shall seize them with the greater seizure, (then) in truth We shall punish. (Ⅲ) - Upon the day when We shall assault most mightily, then We shall take Our vengeance. (Ⅳ) - One day We shall seize you with a mighty onslaught: We will indeed (then) exact Retribution! (Ⅵ)

44.
17
۞ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ
- Walaqad fatanna qablahum qawma firAAawna wajaahum rasoolun kareemun (Ⅰ) - And certainly We tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble Messenger, (Ⅱ) - And verily We tried before them Pharaoh's folk, when there came unto them a noble messenger, (Ⅲ) - Already before them We tried the people of Pharaoh, and a noble Messenger came unto them, (Ⅳ) - We did, before them, try the people of Pharaoh: there came to them a messenger most honourable, (Ⅵ)

44.
18
أَنْ أَدُّوا إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
- An addoo ilayya AAibada Allahi innee lakum rasoolun ameenun (Ⅰ) - Saying, "Deliver to me the servants of Allah; surely I am a trustworthy messenger unto you, (Ⅱ) - Saying: Give up to me the slaves of Allah. Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you. (Ⅲ) - saying, ´Deliver to me God´s servants; I am for you a faithful Messenger, (Ⅳ) - Saying: "Restore to me the Servants of Allah: I am to you an messenger worthy of all trust; (Ⅵ)
|

|
|
44.
19
وَأَن لَّا تَعْلُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي آتِيكُم بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
- Waan la taAAloo AAala Allahi innee ateekum bisultanin mubeenin (Ⅰ) - "And be not arrogant against Allah, for I come with clear authority: (Ⅱ) - And saying: Be not proud against Allah. Lo! I bring you a clear warrant. (Ⅲ) - and, ´Rise not up against God; behold, I come to you with a clear authority, (Ⅳ) - "And be not arrogant as against Allah: for I come to you with authority manifest. (Ⅵ)

|
44.
20
وَإِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ أَن تَرْجُمُونِ
- Wainnee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikum an tarjumooni (Ⅰ) - "And surely I have taken refuge with my Lord and your Lord against your stoning me to death: (Ⅱ) - And lo! I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord lest ye stone me to death. (Ⅲ) - and I take refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you should stone me. (Ⅳ) - "For me, I have sought safety with my Lord and your Lord, against your injuring me. (Ⅵ)

|
44.
21
وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا لِي فَاعْتَزِلُونِ
- Wain lam tuminoo lee faiAAtazilooni (Ⅰ) - "And if you put no faith in me, then let me go." (Ⅱ) - And if ye put no faith in me, then let me go. (Ⅲ) - ´But if so be that you believe me not, go you apart from me!´ (Ⅳ) - "If ye believe me not, at least keep yourselves away from me." (Ⅵ)

44.
22
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ مُّجْرِمُونَ
- FadaAAa rabbahu anna haolai qawmun mujrimoona (Ⅰ) - Then he called upon his Lord, "These are a guilty people". (Ⅱ) - And he cried unto his Lord, (saying): These are guilty folk. (Ⅲ) - And he called to his Lord, saying, ´These are a sinful people.´ (Ⅳ) - (But they were aggressive:) then he cried to his Lord: "These are indeed a people given to sin." (Ⅵ)

|
44.
23
فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيْلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
- Faasri biAAibadee laylan innakum muttabaAAoona (Ⅰ) - (The reply came,) "So go forth with My servants by night; for surely you will be pursued: (Ⅱ) - Then (his Lord commanded): Take away My slaves by night. Lo! ye will be followed, (Ⅲ) - ´Then set thou forth with My servants in a watch of the night; surely you will be followed. (Ⅳ) - (The reply came:) "March forth with My Servants by night: for ye are sure to be pursued. (Ⅵ)

|
44.
24
وَاتْرُكِ الْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌ مُّغْرَقُونَ
- Waotruki albahra rahwan innahum jundun mughraqoona (Ⅰ) - "And leave the sea divided (as a furrow); surely they are a host that shall be drowned." (Ⅱ) - And leave the sea behind at rest, for lo! they are a drowned host. (Ⅲ) - And leave the sea becalmed; they are a drowned host.´ (Ⅳ) - "And leave the sea as a furrow (divided): for they are a host (destined) to be drowned." (Ⅵ)

44.
25
كَمْ تَرَكُوا مِن جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
- Kam tarakoo min jannatin waAAuyoonin (Ⅰ) - How many are the gardens and springs they have left behind! (Ⅱ) - How many were the gardens and the watersprings that they left behind, (Ⅲ) - They left how many gardens and fountains, (Ⅳ) - How many were the gardens and springs they left behind, (Ⅵ)

|
44.
26
وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
- WazurooAAin wamaqamin kareemin (Ⅰ) - And corn fields and noble places! (Ⅱ) - And the cornlands and the goodly sites (Ⅲ) - sown fields, and how noble a station, (Ⅳ) - And corn-fields and noble buildings, (Ⅵ)

|
|
44.
27
وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُوا فِيهَا فَاكِهِينَ
- WanaAAmatin kanoo feeha fakiheena (Ⅰ) - And goodly things wherein they rejoiced; (Ⅱ) - And pleasant things wherein they took delight! (Ⅲ) - and what prosperity they had rejoiced in! (Ⅳ) - And wealth (and conveniences of life), wherein they had taken such delight! (Ⅵ)

44.
28
كَذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ
- Kathalika waawrathnaha qawman akhareena (Ⅰ) - Thus it was, and We gave them as a heritage to another people. (Ⅱ) - Even so (it was), and We made it an inheritance for other folk; (Ⅲ) - Even so; and We bequeathed them upon another people. (Ⅳ) - Thus (was their end)! And We made other people inherit (those things)! (Ⅵ)

44.
29
فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنظَرِينَ
- Fama bakat AAalayhimu alssamao waalardu wama kanoo munthareena (Ⅰ) - So the heaven and the earth did not weep for them, nor were they respited. (Ⅱ) - And the heaven and the earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved. (Ⅲ) - Neither heaven nor earth wept for them, nor were they respited; (Ⅳ) - And neither heaven nor earth shed a tear over them: nor were they given a respite (again). (Ⅵ)

44.
30
وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ
- Walaqad najjayna banee israeela mina alAAathabi almuheeni (Ⅰ) - And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, (Ⅱ) - And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; (Ⅲ) - and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, (Ⅳ) - We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, (Ⅵ)

|
44.
31
مِن فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
- Min firAAawna innahu kana AAaliyan mina almusrifeena (Ⅰ) - From Pharaoh; surely he was haughty, (and) one of those who committed excesses. (Ⅱ) - (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. (Ⅲ) - from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; (Ⅳ) - Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. (Ⅵ)

|
44.
32
وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
- Walaqadi ikhtarnahum AAala AAilmin AAala alAAalameena (Ⅰ) - And certainly We chose them, knowingly (or purposely), above all the nations. (Ⅱ) - And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. (Ⅲ) - and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, (Ⅳ) - And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, (Ⅵ)

44.
33
وَآتَيْنَاهُم مِّنَ الْآيَاتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَاءٌ مُّبِينٌ
- Waataynahum mina alayati ma feehi balaon mubeenun (Ⅰ) - And We gave them signs wherein was a clear trial. (Ⅱ) - And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. (Ⅲ) - and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. (Ⅳ) - And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial (Ⅵ)
|

|
44.
34
إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَيَقُولُونَ
- Inna haolai layaqooloona (Ⅰ) - Lo! These (the pagan Arabs) say, (Ⅱ) - Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: (Ⅲ) - These men do say, (Ⅳ) - As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth: (Ⅵ)

44.
35
إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ
- In hiya illa mawtatuna aloola wama nahnu bimunshareena (Ⅰ) - "There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. (Ⅱ) - There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. (Ⅲ) - ´There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. (Ⅳ) - "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. (Ⅵ)

44.
36
فَأْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
- Fatoo biabaina in kuntum sadiqeena (Ⅰ) - "Bring back our fathers, if you are truthful." (Ⅱ) - Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! (Ⅲ) - Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!´ (Ⅳ) - "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" (Ⅵ)
|

44.
37
أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
- Ahum khayrun am qawmu tubbaAAin waallatheena min qablihim ahlaknahum innahum kanoo mujrimeena (Ⅰ) - What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. (Ⅱ) - Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them ? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. (Ⅲ) - Are they better, or the people of Tubba´ and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. (Ⅳ) - What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. (Ⅵ)

44.
38
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ
- Wama khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma laAAibeena (Ⅰ) - And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. (Ⅱ) - And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. (Ⅲ) - We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; (Ⅳ) - We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: (Ⅵ)

44.
39
مَا خَلَقْنَاهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
- Ma khalaqnahuma illa bialhaqqi walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona (Ⅰ) - We create them both not, except with truth, but most of them know not. (Ⅱ) - We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. (Ⅲ) - We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. (Ⅳ) - We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. (Ⅵ)

44.
40
إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
- Inna yawma alfasli meeqatuhum ajmaAAeena (Ⅰ) - Assuredly the Day of Decision (or of Sorting) is the term appointed for all of them, (Ⅱ) - Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, (Ⅲ) - Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, (Ⅳ) - Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- (Ⅵ)

44.
41
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
- Yawma la yughnee mawlan AAan mawlan shayan wala hum yunsaroona (Ⅰ) - The day on which friend can in naught avail friend, nor can they be helped, (Ⅱ) - A day when friend can in naught avail friend, nor can they be helped, (Ⅲ) - the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, (Ⅳ) - The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, (Ⅵ)

44.
42
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
- Illa man rahima Allahu innahu huwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu (Ⅰ) - Save those on whom Allah has mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful. (Ⅱ) - Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. (Ⅲ) - save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. (Ⅳ) - Except such as receive Allah´s Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. (Ⅵ)

43
إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّومِ
- Inna shajarata alzzaqqoomi (Ⅰ) - Behold the tree of Zaqqum, (Ⅱ) - Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, (Ⅲ) - Lo, the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum (Ⅳ) - Verily the tree of Zaqqum (Ⅵ)

طَعَامُ الْأَثِيمِ

كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ
- Kaalmuhli yaghlee fee albutooni (Ⅰ) - Like molten brass, it shall boil in (their) bellies, (Ⅱ) - Like molten brass, it seetheth in their bellies (Ⅲ) - like molten copper, bubbling in the belly (Ⅳ) - Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides. (Ⅵ)

كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ
- Kaghalyi alhameemi (Ⅰ) - Like the seesing of boiling water. (Ⅱ) - As the seething of boiling water. (Ⅲ) - as boiling water bubbles. (Ⅳ) - Like the boiling of scalding water. (Ⅵ)

خُذُوهُ فَاعْتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ
- Khuthoohu faiAAtiloohu ila sawai aljaheemi (Ⅰ) - (It will be said,) "Seize him, then drag him down into the midst of hell; (Ⅱ) - (And it will be said): Take him and drag him to the midst of hell, (Ⅲ) - ´Take him, and thrust him into the midst of Hell, (Ⅳ) - (A voice will cry: "Seize ye him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire! (Ⅵ)

ثُمَّ صُبُّوا فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيمِ
- Thumma subboo fawqa rasihi min AAathabi alhameemi (Ⅰ) - Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water: (Ⅱ) - Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. (Ⅲ) - then pour over his head the chastisement of boiling water!´ (Ⅳ) - "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, (Ⅵ)

ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْكَرِيمُ
- Thuq innaka anta alAAazeezu alkareemu (Ⅰ) - "Saying, ´Taste; lo! You were forsooth the mighty, the noble! (Ⅱ) - (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! (Ⅲ) - ´Taste! Surely thou art the mighty, the noble. (Ⅳ) - "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour! (Ⅵ)
