Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!
- Malheur à ceux qui vivent tranquilles dans Sion, Et en sécurité sur la montagne de Samarie, A ces grands de la première des nations, Auprès desquels va la maison d'Israël!... (Ⅱ) - οὐαὶ τοι̃ς ἐξουθενου̃σιν Σιων καὶ τοι̃ς πεποιθόσιν ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος Σαμαρείας ἀπετρύγησαν ἀρχὰς ἐθνω̃ν καὶ εἰση̃λθον αὐτοί οἰ̃κος του̃ Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Væ qui opulenti estis in Sion,/ et confiditis in monte Samariæ :/ optimates capita populorum,/ ingredientes pompatice domum Israël !/ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃6 הוי השאננים בציון והבטחים בהר שמרון נקבי ראשית הגוים ובאו להם בית ישראל (Ⅴ)

Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?
- Passez à Calné et voyez, Allez de là jusqu'à Hamath la grande, Et descendez à Gath chez les Philistins: Ces villes sont-elles plus prospères que vos deux royaumes, Et leur territoire est-il plus étendu que le vôtre?... (Ⅱ) - διάβητε πάντες καὶ ἴδετε καὶ διέλθατε ἐκει̃θεν εἰς Εμαθ Ραββα καὶ κατάβητε ἐκει̃θεν εἰς Γεθ ἀλλοφύλων τὰς κρατίστας ἐκ πασω̃ν τω̃ν βασιλειω̃ν τούτων εἰ πλέονα τὰ ὅρια αὐτω̃ν ἐστιν τω̃ν ὑμετέρων ὁρίων (Ⅲ) - Transite in Chalane, et videte,/ et ite inde in Emath magnam,/ et descendite in Geth Palæstinorum,/ et ad optima quæque regna horum :/ si latior terminus eorum termino vestro est./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃6 עברו כלנה וראו ולכו משם חמת רבה ורדו גת פלשתים[U] הטובים מן הממלכות האלה אם רב גבולם מגבלכם (Ⅴ)

Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
- Vous croyez éloigner le jour du malheur, Et vous faites approcher le règne de la violence. (Ⅱ) - οἱ ἐρχόμενοι εἰς ἡμέραν κακήν οἱ ἐγγίζοντες καὶ ἐφαπτόμενοι σαββάτων ψευδω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Qui separati estis in diem malum,/ et appropinquatis solio iniquitatis ;/ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃6 המנדים ליום רע ותגישון שבת חמס (Ⅴ)

That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;
- Ils reposent sur des lits d'ivoire, Ils sont mollement étendus sur leurs couches; Ils mangent les agneaux du troupeau, Les veaux mis à l'engrais. (Ⅱ) - οἱ καθεύδοντες ἐπὶ κλινω̃ν ἐλεφαντίνων καὶ κατασπαταλω̃ντες ἐπὶ ται̃ς στρωμναι̃ς αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἔσθοντες ἐρίφους ἐκ ποιμνίων καὶ μοσχάρια ἐκ μέσου βουκολίων γαλαθηνά (Ⅲ) - qui dormitis in lectis eburneis,/ et lascivitis in stratis vestris ;/ qui comeditis agnum de grege,/ et vitulos de medio armenti ;/ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃6 השכבים על מטות שן וסרחים על ערשותם ואכלים כרים מצאן ועגלים מתוך מרבק (Ⅴ)

That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;
- Ils extravaguent au son du luth, Ils se croient habiles comme David sur les instruments de musique. (Ⅱ) - οἱ ἐπικροτου̃ντες πρὸς τὴν φωνὴν τω̃ν ὀργάνων ὡς ἑστω̃τα ἐλογίσαντο καὶ οὐχ ὡς φεύγοντα (Ⅲ) - qui canitis ad vocem psalterii,/ sicut David putaverunt se habere vasa cantici,/ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃6 הפרטים על פי הנבל כדויד חשבו להם כלי שיר (Ⅴ)

That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
- Ils boivent le vin dans de larges coupes, Ils s'oignent avec la meilleure huile, Et ils ne s'attristent pas sur la ruine de Joseph! (Ⅱ) - οἱ πίνοντες τὸν διυλισμένον οἰ̃νον καὶ τὰ πρω̃τα μύρα χριόμενοι καὶ οὐκ ἔπασχον οὐδὲν ἐπὶ τη̨̃ συντριβη̨̃ Ιωσηφ (Ⅲ) - bibentes vinum in phialis,/ et optimo unguento delibuti,/ et nihil patiebantur super contritione Joseph./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃6 השתים במזרקי יין וראשית שמנים ימשחו ולא נחלו על שבר יוסף[Q][n][p] (Ⅴ)

Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.
- C'est pourquoi ils seront emmenés à la tête des captifs; Et les cris de joie de ces voluptueux cesseront. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το νυ̃ν αἰχμάλωτοι ἔσονται ἀπ' ἀρχη̃ς δυναστω̃ν καὶ ἐξαρθήσεται χρεμετισμὸς ἵππων ἐξ Εφραιμ (Ⅲ) - Quapropter nunc migrabunt in capite transmigrantium,/ et auferetur factio lascivientium./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃6 לכן עתה יגלו בראש גלים וסר מרזח סרוחים פ (Ⅴ)

The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
- Le Seigneur, l'Éternel, l'a juré par lui-même; L'Éternel, le Dieu des armées, a dit: J'ai en horreur l'orgueil de Jacob, Et je hais ses palais; Je livrerai la ville et tout ce qu'elle renferme. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ὤμοσεν κύριος καθ' ἑαυτου̃ διότι βδελύσσομαι ἐγὼ πα̃σαν τὴν ὕβριν Ιακωβ καὶ τὰς χώρας αὐτου̃ μεμίσηκα καὶ ἐξαρω̃ πόλιν σὺν πα̃σιν τοι̃ς κατοικου̃σιν αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Juravit Dominus Deus in anima sua,/ dicit Dominus Deus exercituum :/ Detestor ego superbiam Jacob,/ et domos ejus odi,/ et tradam civitatem cum habitatoribus suis./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃6 נשבע אדני יהוה בנפשו נאם יהוה אלהי צבאות מתאב אנכי את גאון יעקב וארמנתיו שנאתי והסגרתי עיר ומלאה (Ⅴ)

And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
- Et s'il reste dix hommes dans une maison, ils mourront. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ὑπολειφθω̃σιν δέκα ἄνδρες ἐν οἰκία̨ μια̨̃ καὶ ἀποθανου̃νται καὶ ὑπολειφθήσονται οἱ κατάλοιποι (Ⅲ) - Quod si reliqui fuerint decem viri in domo una,/ et ipsi morientur./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃6 והיה אם יותרו עשרה אנשים בבית אחד ומתו (Ⅴ)

And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.
- Lorsqu'un parent prendra un mort pour le brûler Et qu'il enlèvera de la maison les ossements, Il dira à celui qui est au fond de la maison: Y a-t-il encore quelqu'un avec toi? Et cet homme répondra: Personne... Et l'autre dira: Silence! Ce n'est pas le moment de prononcer le nom de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ λήμψονται οἱ οἰκει̃οι αὐτω̃ν καὶ παραβιω̃νται του̃ ἐξενέγκαι τὰ ὀστα̃ αὐτω̃ν ἐκ του̃ οἴκου καὶ ἐρει̃ τοι̃ς προεστηκόσι τη̃ς οἰκίας εἰ ἔτι ὑπάρχει παρὰ σοί καὶ ἐρει̃ οὐκέτι καὶ ἐρει̃ σίγα ἕνεκα του̃ μὴ ὀνομάσαι τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Et tollet eum propinquus suus, et comburet eum,/ ut efferat ossa de domo ;/ et dicet ei, qui in penetralibus domus est :/ Numquid adhuc est penes te ?/ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃6 ונשאו דודו ומסרפו להוציא עצמים מן הבית ואמר לאשר בירכתי הבית העוד עמך ואמר אפס ואמר הס כי לא להזכיר בשם יהוה (Ⅴ)

For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
- Car voici, l'Éternel ordonne: Il fera tomber en ruines la grande maison, Et en débris la petite maison. (Ⅱ) - διότι ἰδοὺ κύριος ἐντέλλεται καὶ πατάξει τὸν οἰ̃κον τὸν μέγαν θλάσμασιν καὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον τὸν μικρὸν ῥάγμασιν (Ⅲ) - Et respondebit : Finis est./ Et dicet ei : Tace,/ et non recorderis nominis Domini./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃6 כי הנה יהוה מצוה והכה הבית הגדול רסיסים והבית הקטן בקעים (Ⅴ)

Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:
- Est-ce que les chevaux courent sur un rocher, Est-ce qu'on y laboure avec des boeufs, Pour que vous ayez changé la droiture en poison, Et le fruit de la justice en absinthe? (Ⅱ) - εἰ διώξονται ἐν πέτραις ἵπποι εἰ παρασιωπήσονται ἐν θηλείαις ὅτι ὑμει̃ς ἐξεστρέψατε εἰς θυμὸν κρίμα καὶ καρπὸν δικαιοσύνης εἰς πικρίαν (Ⅲ) - Quia ecce Dominus mandabit,/ et percutiet domum majorem ruinis,/ et domum minorem scissionibus./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃6 הירצון בסלע סוסים אם יחרוש בבקרים כי הפכתם לראש משפט ופרי צדקה ללענה (Ⅴ)

Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
- Vous vous réjouissez de ce qui n'est que néant, Vous dites: N'est-ce pas par notre force Que nous avons acquis de la puissance? (Ⅱ) - οἱ εὐφραινόμενοι ἐπ' οὐδενὶ λόγω̨ οἱ λέγοντες οὐκ ἐν τη̨̃ ἰσχύι ἡμω̃ν ἔσχομεν κέρατα (Ⅲ) - Numquid currere queunt in petris equi,/ aut arari potest in bubalis ?/ quoniam convertistis in amaritudinem judicium,/ et fructum justitiæ in absinthium./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃6 השמחים ללא דבר האמרים הלוא בחזקנו לקחנו לנו קרנים (Ⅴ)

But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
- C'est pourquoi voici, je ferai lever contre vous, maison d'Israël, Dit l'Éternel, le Dieu des armées, une nation Qui vous opprimera depuis l'entrée de Hamath Jusqu'au torrent du désert. (Ⅱ) - διότι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπεγείρω ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς οἰ̃κος του̃ Ισραηλ ἔθνος καὶ ἐκθλίψουσιν ὑμα̃ς του̃ μὴ εἰσελθει̃ν εἰς Εμαθ καὶ ἕως του̃ χειμάρρου τω̃ν δυσμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Qui lætamini in nihilo ; qui dicitis :/ Numquid non in fortitudine nostra assumpsimus nobis cornua ?/
(6:15 ) Ecce enim suscitabo super vos, domus Israël,/ dicit Dominus Deus exercituum, gentem,/ et conteret vos ab introitu Emath usque ad torrentem deserti.] (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃6 כי הנני מקים עליכם בית ישראל נאם יהוה אלהי הצבאות גוי ולחצו אתכם מלבוא חמת עד נחל הערבה ס (Ⅴ)
