Mais un homme nommé Ananias, avec Saphira sa femme, vendit une propriété,
- But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, (Ⅱ)
- Ἀνὴρ δέ τις Ἁνανίας ὀνόματι σὺν Σαπφίρῃ τῇ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπώλησεν κτῆμα (Ⅲ)
- Vir autem quidam nomine Ananias, cum Saphira uxore suo vendidit agrum, (Ⅳ)

et retint une partie du prix, sa femme le sachant; puis il apporta le reste, et le déposa aux pieds des apôtres.
- And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐνοσφίσατο ἀπὸ τῆς τιμῆς, συνειδυίης καὶ τῆς ⸀γυναικός, καὶ ἐνέγκας μέρος τι παρὰ τοὺς πόδας τῶν ἀποστόλων ἔθηκεν. (Ⅲ)
- et fraudavit de pretio agri, conscia uxore sua : et afferens partem quamdam, ad pedes Apostolorum posuit. (Ⅳ)

Pierre lui dit: Ananias, pourquoi Satan a-t-il rempli ton coeur, au point que tu mentes au Saint Esprit, et que tu aies retenu une partie du prix du champ?
- But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? (Ⅱ)
- εἶπεν δὲ ⸀ὁ Πέτρος· Ἁνανία, διὰ τί ἐπλήρωσεν ὁ Σατανᾶς τὴν καρδίαν σου, ψεύσασθαί σε τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον καὶ ⸀νοσφίσασθαι ἀπὸ τῆς τιμῆς τοῦ χωρίου; (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem Petrus : Anania, cur tentavit Satanas cor tuum, mentiri te Spiritui Sancto, et fraudare de pretio agri ? (Ⅳ)

S'il n'eût pas été vendu, ne te restait-il pas? Et, après qu'il a été vendu, le prix n'était-il pas à ta disposition? Comment as-tu pu mettre en ton coeur un pareil dessein? Ce n'est pas à des hommes que tu as menti, mais à Dieu.
- Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. (Ⅱ)
- οὐχὶ μένον σοὶ ἔμενεν καὶ πραθὲν ἐν τῇ σῇ ἐξουσίᾳ ὑπῆρχεν; τί ὅτι ἔθου ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου τὸ πρᾶγμα τοῦτο; οὐκ ἐψεύσω ἀνθρώποις ἀλλὰ τῷ θεῷ. (Ⅲ)
- nonne manens tibi manebat, et venundatum in tua erat potestate ? quare posuisti in corde tuo hanc rem ? non es mentitus hominibus, sed Deo. (Ⅳ)

Ananias, entendant ces paroles, tomba, et expira. Une grande crainte saisit tous les auditeurs.
- And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. (Ⅱ)
- ἀκούων δὲ ὁ Ἁνανίας τοὺς λόγους τούτους πεσὼν ἐξέψυξεν· καὶ ἐγένετο φόβος μέγας ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς ⸀ἀκούοντας. (Ⅲ)
- Audiens autem Ananias hæc verba, cecidit, et expiravit. Et factus est timor magnus super omnes qui audierunt. (Ⅳ)

Les jeunes gens, s'étant levés, l'enveloppèrent, l'emportèrent, et l'ensevelirent.
- And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. (Ⅱ)
- ἀναστάντες δὲ οἱ νεώτεροι συνέστειλαν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐξενέγκαντες ἔθαψαν. (Ⅲ)
- Surgentes autem juvenes amoverunt eum, et efferentes sepelierunt. (Ⅳ)

Environ trois heures plus tard, sa femme entra, sans savoir ce qui était arrivé.
- And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. (Ⅱ)
- Ἐγένετο δὲ ὡς ὡρῶν τριῶν διάστημα καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ μὴ εἰδυῖα τὸ γεγονὸς εἰσῆλθεν. (Ⅲ)
- Factum est autem quasi horarum trium spatium, et uxor ipsius, nesciens quod factum fuerat, introivit. (Ⅳ)

Pierre lui adressa la parole: Dis-moi, est-ce à un tel prix que vous avez vendu le champ? Oui, répondit-elle, c'est à ce prix-là.
- And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. (Ⅱ)
- ἀπεκρίθη δὲ ⸂πρὸς αὐτὴν⸃ ⸀Πέτρος· Εἰπέ μοι, εἰ τοσούτου τὸ χωρίον ἀπέδοσθε; ἡ δὲ εἶπεν· Ναί, τοσούτου. (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem ei Petrus : Dic mihi mulier, si tanti agrum vendidistis ? At illa dixit : Etiam tanti. (Ⅳ)

Alors Pierre lui dit: Comment vous êtes-vous accordés pour tenter l'Esprit du Seigneur? Voici, ceux qui ont enseveli ton mari sont à la porte, et ils t'emporteront.
- Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ δὲ ⸀Πέτρος πρὸς αὐτήν· Τί ὅτι συνεφωνήθη ὑμῖν πειράσαι τὸ πνεῦμα κυρίου; ἰδοὺ οἱ πόδες τῶν θαψάντων τὸν ἄνδρα σου ἐπὶ τῇ θύρᾳ καὶ ἐξοίσουσίν σε. (Ⅲ)
- Petrus autem ad eam : Quid utique convenit vobis tentare Spiritum Domini ? Ecce pedes eorum qui sepelierunt virum tuum ad ostium, et efferent te. (Ⅳ)

Au même instant, elle tomba aux pieds de l'apôtre, et expira. Les jeunes gens, étant entrés, la trouvèrent morte; ils l'emportèrent, et l'ensevelirent auprès de son mari.
- Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. (Ⅱ)
- ἔπεσεν δὲ παραχρῆμα ⸀πρὸς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξέψυξεν· εἰσελθόντες δὲ οἱ νεανίσκοι εὗρον αὐτὴν νεκράν, καὶ ἐξενέγκαντες ἔθαψαν πρὸς τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς. (Ⅲ)
- Confestim cecidit ante pedes ejus, et expiravit. Intrantes autem juvenes invenerunt illam mortuam : et extulerunt, et sepelierunt ad virum suum. (Ⅳ)

Une grande crainte s'empara de toute l'assemblée et de tous ceux qui apprirent ces choses.
- And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐγένετο φόβος μέγας ἐφ’ ὅλην τὴν ἐκκλησίαν καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀκούοντας ταῦτα. (Ⅲ)
- Et factus est timor magnus in universa ecclesia, et in omnes qui audierunt hæc.\ (Ⅳ)

Beaucoup de miracles et de prodiges se faisaient au milieu du peuple par les mains des apôtres. Ils se tenaient tous ensemble au portique de Salomon,
- And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. (Ⅱ)
- Διὰ δὲ τῶν χειρῶν τῶν ἀποστόλων ἐγίνετο σημεῖα καὶ τέρατα ⸂πολλὰ ἐν τῷ λαῷ⸃· καὶ ἦσαν ὁμοθυμαδὸν ⸀ἅπαντες ἐν τῇ Στοᾷ Σολομῶντος· (Ⅲ)
- Per manus autem Apostolorum fiebant signa et prodigia multa in plebe. Et erant unanimiter omnes in porticu Salomonis. (Ⅳ)
5. 13  
et aucun des autres n'osait se joindre à eux; mais le peuple les louait hautement.
- And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. (Ⅱ)
- τῶν δὲ λοιπῶν οὐδεὶς ἐτόλμα κολλᾶσθαι αὐτοῖς, ἀλλ’ ἐμεγάλυνεν αὐτοὺς ὁ λαός, (Ⅲ)
- Ceterorum autem nemo audebat se conjungere illis : sed magnificabat eos populus. (Ⅳ)
5. 14  
Le nombre de ceux qui croyaient au Seigneur, hommes et femmes, s'augmentait de plus en plus;
- And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) (Ⅱ)
- μᾶλλον δὲ προσετίθεντο πιστεύοντες τῷ κυρίῳ πλήθη ἀνδρῶν τε καὶ γυναικῶν· (Ⅲ)
- Magis autem augebatur credentium in Domino multitudo virorum ac mulierum, (Ⅳ)
5. 15  
en sorte qu'on apportait les malades dans les rues et qu'on les plaçait sur des lits et des couchettes, afin que, lorsque Pierre passerait, son ombre au moins couvrît quelqu'un d'eux.
- Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. (Ⅱ)
- ὥστε ⸂καὶ εἰς⸃ τὰς πλατείας ἐκφέρειν τοὺς ἀσθενεῖς καὶ τιθέναι ἐπὶ ⸀κλιναρίων καὶ κραβάττων, ἵνα ἐρχομένου Πέτρου κἂν ἡ σκιὰ ⸀ἐπισκιάσῃ τινὶ αὐτῶν. (Ⅲ)
- ita ut in plateas ejicerent infirmos, et ponerent in lectulis et grabatis, ut, veniente Petro, saltem umbra illius obumbraret quemquam illorum, et liberarentur ab infirmitatibus suis. (Ⅳ)

La multitude accourait aussi des villes voisines à Jérusalem, amenant des malades et des gens tourmentés par des esprits impurs; et tous étaient guéris.
- There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one. (Ⅱ)
- συνήρχετο δὲ καὶ τὸ πλῆθος τῶν πέριξ ⸀πόλεων Ἰερουσαλήμ, φέροντες ἀσθενεῖς καὶ ὀχλουμένους ὑπὸ πνευμάτων ἀκαθάρτων, οἵτινες ἐθεραπεύοντο ἅπαντες. (Ⅲ)
- Concurrebat autem et multitudo vicinarum civitatum Jerusalem, afferentes ægros, et vexatos a spiritibus immundis : qui curabantur omnes.\ (Ⅳ)
5. 17  
Cependant le souverain sacrificateur et tous ceux qui étaient avec lui, savoir le parti des sadducéens, se levèrent, remplis de jalousie,
- Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation, (Ⅱ)
- Ἀναστὰς δὲ ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς καὶ πάντες οἱ σὺν αὐτῷ, ἡ οὖσα αἵρεσις τῶν Σαδδουκαίων, ἐπλήσθησαν ζήλου (Ⅲ)
- Exsurgens autem princeps sacerdotum, et omnes qui cum illo erant (quæ est hæresis sadducæorum), repleti sunt zelo : (Ⅳ)

mirent les mains sur les apôtres, et les jetèrent dans la prison publique.
- And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐπέβαλον τὰς ⸀χεῖρας ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀποστόλους καὶ ἔθεντο αὐτοὺς ἐν τηρήσει δημοσίᾳ. (Ⅲ)
- et injecerunt manus in Apostolos, et posuerunt eos in custodia publica. (Ⅳ)
5. 19  
Mais un ange du Seigneur, ayant ouvert pendant la nuit les portes de la prison, les fit sortir, et leur dit:
- But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, (Ⅱ)
- ἄγγελος δὲ κυρίου ⸀διὰ νυκτὸς ⸀ἤνοιξε τὰς θύρας τῆς φυλακῆς ἐξαγαγών τε αὐτοὺς εἶπεν· (Ⅲ)
- Angelus autem Domini per noctem aperiens januas carceris, et educens eos, dixit : (Ⅳ)
5. 20  
Allez, tenez-vous dans le temple, et annoncez au peuple toutes les paroles de cette vie.
- Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Ⅱ)
- Πορεύεσθε καὶ σταθέντες λαλεῖτε ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ τῷ λαῷ πάντα τὰ ῥήματα τῆς ζωῆς ταύτης. (Ⅲ)
- Ite, et stantes loquimini in templo plebi omnia verba vitæ hujus. (Ⅳ)
5. 21  
Ayant entendu cela, ils entrèrent dès le matin dans le temple, et se mirent à enseigner. Le souverain sacrificateur et ceux qui étaient avec lui étant survenus, ils convoquèrent le sanhédrin et tous les anciens des fils d'Israël, et ils envoyèrent chercher les apôtres à la prison.
- And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought. (Ⅱ)
- ἀκούσαντες δὲ εἰσῆλθον ὑπὸ τὸν ὄρθρον εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν καὶ ἐδίδασκον. Παραγενόμενος δὲ ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς καὶ οἱ σὺν αὐτῷ συνεκάλεσαν τὸ συνέδριον καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γερουσίαν τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἀπέστειλαν εἰς τὸ δεσμωτήριον ἀχθῆναι αὐτούς. (Ⅲ)
- Qui cum audissent, intraverunt diluculo in templum, et docebant. Adveniens autem princeps sacerdotum, et qui cum eo erant, convocaverunt concilium, et omnes seniores filiorum Israël : et miserunt ad carcerem ut adducerentur. (Ⅳ)

Les huissiers, à leur arrivée, ne les trouvèrent point dans la prison. Ils s'en retournèrent, et firent leur rapport,
- But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned and told, (Ⅱ)
- οἱ δὲ ⸂παραγενόμενοι ὑπηρέται⸃ οὐχ εὗρον αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ φυλακῇ, ἀναστρέψαντες δὲ ἀπήγγειλαν (Ⅲ)
- Cum autem venissent ministri, et aperto carcere non invenissent illos, reversi nuntiaverunt, (Ⅳ)
5. 23  
en disant: Nous avons trouvé la prison soigneusement fermée, et les gardes qui étaient devant les portes; mais, après avoir ouvert, nous n'avons trouvé personne dedans.
- Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within. (Ⅱ)
- λέγοντες ὅτι ⸀Τὸ δεσμωτήριον εὕρομεν κεκλεισμένον ἐν πάσῃ ἀσφαλείᾳ καὶ τοὺς φύλακας ἑστῶτας ⸀ἐπὶ τῶν θυρῶν, ἀνοίξαντες δὲ ἔσω οὐδένα εὕρομεν. (Ⅲ)
- dicentes : Carcerem quidem invenimus clausum cum omni diligentia, et custodes stantes ante januas : aperientes autem neminem intus invenimus. (Ⅳ)

Lorsqu'ils eurent entendu ces paroles, le commandant du temple et les principaux sacrificateurs ne savaient que penser des apôtres et des suites de cette affaire.
- Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow. (Ⅱ)
- ὡς δὲ ἤκουσαν τοὺς λόγους τούτους ὅ ⸀τε στρατηγὸς τοῦ ἱεροῦ καὶ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς, διηπόρουν περὶ αὐτῶν τί ἂν γένοιτο τοῦτο. (Ⅲ)
- Ut autem audierunt hos sermones magistratus templi et principes sacerdotum, ambigebant de illis quidnam fieret. (Ⅳ)
5. 25  
Quelqu'un vint leur dire: Voici, les hommes que vous avez mis en prison sont dans le temple, et ils enseignent le peuple.
- Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people. (Ⅱ)
- παραγενόμενος δέ τις ἀπήγγειλεν αὐτοῖς ὅτι Ἰδοὺ οἱ ἄνδρες οὓς ἔθεσθε ἐν τῇ φυλακῇ εἰσὶν ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ ἑστῶτες καὶ διδάσκοντες τὸν λαόν. (Ⅲ)
- Adveniens autem quidam, nuntiavit eis : Quia ecce viri quos posuistis in carcerem, sunt in templo, stantes et docentes populum.\ (Ⅳ)
5. 26  
Alors le commandant partit avec les huissiers, et les conduisit sans violence, car ils avaient peur d'être lapidés par le peuple.
- Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned. (Ⅱ)
- τότε ἀπελθὼν ὁ στρατηγὸς σὺν τοῖς ὑπηρέταις ⸀ἤγαγεν αὐτούς, οὐ μετὰ βίας, ἐφοβοῦντο γὰρ τὸν λαόν, ⸀μὴ λιθασθῶσιν. (Ⅲ)
- Tunc abiit magistratus cum ministris, et adduxit illos sine vi : timebant enim populum ne lapidarentur. (Ⅳ)
5. 27  
Après qu'ils les eurent amenés en présence du sanhédrin, le souverain sacrificateur les interrogea en ces termes:
- And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, (Ⅱ)
- Ἀγαγόντες δὲ αὐτοὺς ἔστησαν ἐν τῷ συνεδρίῳ. καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν αὐτοὺς ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς (Ⅲ)
- Et cum adduxissent illos, statuerunt in concilio : et interrogavit eos princeps sacerdotum, (Ⅳ)
5. 28  
Ne vous avons-nous pas défendu expressément d'enseigner en ce nom-là? Et voici, vous avez rempli Jérusalem de votre enseignement, et vous voulez faire retomber sur nous le sang de cet homme!
- Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀λέγων· Παραγγελίᾳ παρηγγείλαμεν ὑμῖν μὴ διδάσκειν ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι τούτῳ, καὶ ἰδοὺ πεπληρώκατε τὴν Ἰερουσαλὴμ τῆς διδαχῆς ὑμῶν, καὶ βούλεσθε ἐπαγαγεῖν ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς τὸ αἷμα τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τούτου. (Ⅲ)
- dicens : Præcipiendo præcepimus vobis ne doceretis in nomine isto, et ecce replestis Jerusalem doctrina vestra : et vultis inducere super nos sanguinem hominis istius.\ (Ⅳ)
5. 29  
Pierre et les apôtres répondirent: Il faut obéir à Dieu plutôt qu'aux hommes.
- Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. (Ⅱ)
- ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ Πέτρος καὶ οἱ ἀπόστολοι εἶπαν· Πειθαρχεῖν δεῖ θεῷ μᾶλλον ἢ ἀνθρώποις. (Ⅲ)
- Respondens autem Petrus et Apostoli, dixerunt : Obedire oportet Deo magis quam hominibus. (Ⅳ)
5. 30  
Le Dieu de nos pères a ressuscité Jésus, que vous avez tué, en le pendant au bois.
- The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν ἤγειρεν Ἰησοῦν, ὃν ὑμεῖς διεχειρίσασθε κρεμάσαντες ἐπὶ ξύλου· (Ⅲ)
- Deus patrum nostrorum suscitavit Jesum, quem vos interemistis, suspendentes in ligno. (Ⅳ)
5. 31  
Dieu l'a élevé par sa droite comme Prince et Sauveur, pour donner à Israël la repentance et le pardon des péchés.
- Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. (Ⅱ)
- τοῦτον ὁ θεὸς ἀρχηγὸν καὶ σωτῆρα ὕψωσεν τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ, ⸀τοῦ δοῦναι μετάνοιαν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν· (Ⅲ)
- Hunc principem et salvatorem Deus exaltavit dextera sua ad dandam pœnitentiam Israëli, et remissionem peccatorum : (Ⅳ)
5. 32  
Nous sommes témoins de ces choses, de même que le Saint Esprit, que Dieu a donné à ceux qui lui obéissent.
- And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἡμεῖς ⸀ἐσμεν μάρτυρες τῶν ῥημάτων τούτων, καὶ τὸ ⸀πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον ὃ ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς τοῖς πειθαρχοῦσιν αὐτῷ. (Ⅲ)
- et nos sumus testes horum verborum, et Spiritus Sanctus, quem dedit Deus omnibus obedientibus sibi. (Ⅳ)
5. 33  
Furieux de ces paroles, ils voulaient les faire mourir.
- When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them. (Ⅱ)
- Οἱ δὲ ⸀ἀκούσαντες διεπρίοντο καὶ ἐβούλοντο ἀνελεῖν αὐτούς. (Ⅲ)
- Hæc cum audissent, dissecabantur, et cogitabant interficere illos.\ (Ⅳ)

Mais un pharisien, nommé Gamaliel, docteur de la loi, estimé de tout le peuple, se leva dans le sanhédrin, et ordonna de faire sortir un instant les apôtres.
- Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; (Ⅱ)
- ἀναστὰς δέ τις ἐν τῷ συνεδρίῳ Φαρισαῖος ὀνόματι Γαμαλιήλ, νομοδιδάσκαλος τίμιος παντὶ τῷ λαῷ, ἐκέλευσεν ἔξω ⸀βραχὺ τοὺς ⸀ἀνθρώπους ποιῆσαι, (Ⅲ)
- Surgens autem quidam in concilio pharisæus, nomine Gamaliel, legis doctor, honorabilis universæ plebi, jussit foras ad breve homines fieri, (Ⅳ)
5. 35  
Puis il leur dit: Hommes Israélites, prenez garde à ce que vous allez faire à l'égard de ces gens.
- And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. (Ⅱ)
- εἶπέν τε πρὸς αὐτούς· Ἄνδρες Ἰσραηλῖται, προσέχετε ἑαυτοῖς ἐπὶ τοῖς ἀνθρώποις τούτοις τί μέλλετε πράσσειν. (Ⅲ)
- dixitque ad illos : Viri Israëlitæ, attendite vobis super hominibus istis quid acturi sitis. (Ⅳ)
5. 36  
Car, il n'y a pas longtemps que parut Theudas, qui se donnait pour quelque chose, et auquel se rallièrent environ quatre cents hommes: il fut tué, et tous ceux qui l'avaient suivi furent mis en déroute et réduits à rien.
- For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. (Ⅱ)
- πρὸ γὰρ τούτων τῶν ἡμερῶν ἀνέστη Θευδᾶς, λέγων εἶναί τινα ἑαυτόν, ᾧ ⸀προσεκλίθη ⸂ἀνδρῶν ἀριθμὸς ὡς⸃ τετρακοσίων· ὃς ἀνῃρέθη, καὶ πάντες ὅσοι ἐπείθοντο αὐτῷ διελύθησαν καὶ ἐγένοντο εἰς οὐδέν. (Ⅲ)
- Ante hos enim dies extitit Theodas, dicens se esse aliquem, cui consensit numerus virorum circiter quadringentorum : qui occisus est, et omnes qui credebant ei, dissipati sunt, et redacti ad nihilum. (Ⅳ)
5. 37  
Après lui, parut Judas le Galiléen, à l'époque du recensement, et il attira du monde à son parti: il périt aussi, et tous ceux qui l'avaient suivi furent dispersés.
- After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. (Ⅱ)
- μετὰ τοῦτον ἀνέστη Ἰούδας ὁ Γαλιλαῖος ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις τῆς ἀπογραφῆς καὶ ἀπέστησε ⸀λαὸν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ· κἀκεῖνος ἀπώλετο καὶ πάντες ὅσοι ἐπείθοντο αὐτῷ διεσκορπίσθησαν. (Ⅲ)
- Post hunc extitit Judas Galilæus in diebus professionis, et avertit populum post se : et ipse periit, et omnes quotquot consenserunt ei, dispersi sunt. (Ⅳ)
5. 38  
Et maintenant, je vous le dis ne vous occupez plus de ces hommes, et laissez-les aller. Si cette entreprise ou cette oeuvre vient des hommes, elle se détruira;
- And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: (Ⅱ)
- καὶ τὰ νῦν λέγω ὑμῖν, ἀπόστητε ἀπὸ τῶν ἀνθρώπων τούτων καὶ ⸀ἄφετε αὐτούς· (ὅτι ἐὰν ᾖ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων ἡ βουλὴ ⸀αὕτη ἢ τὸ ἔργον τοῦτο, καταλυθήσεται, (Ⅲ)
- Et nunc itaque dico vobis, discedite ab hominibus istis, et sinite illos : quoniam si est ex hominibus consilium hoc aut opus, dissolvetur : (Ⅳ)
5. 39  
mais si elle vient de Dieu, vous ne pourrez la détruire. Ne courez pas le risque d'avoir combattu contre Dieu.
- But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. (Ⅱ)
- εἰ δὲ ἐκ θεοῦ ἐστιν, οὐ ⸀δυνήσεσθε καταλῦσαι ⸀αὐτούς·) μήποτε καὶ θεομάχοι εὑρεθῆτε. ἐπείσθησαν δὲ αὐτῷ, (Ⅲ)
- si vero ex Deo est, non poteritis dissolvere illud, ne forte et Deo repugnare inveniamini. Consenserunt autem illi. (Ⅳ)
5. 40  
Ils se rangèrent à son avis. Et ayant appelé les apôtres, ils les firent battre de verges, ils leur défendirent de parler au nom de Jésus, et ils les relâchèrent.
- And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ προσκαλεσάμενοι τοὺς ἀποστόλους δείραντες παρήγγειλαν μὴ λαλεῖν ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ Ἰησοῦ καὶ ⸀ἀπέλυσαν. (Ⅲ)
- Et convocantes Apostolos, cæsis denuntiaverunt ne omnino loquerentur in nomine Jesu, et dimiserunt eos. (Ⅳ)
5. 41  
Les apôtres se retirèrent de devant le sanhédrin, joyeux d'avoir été jugés dignes de subir des outrages pour le nom de Jésus.
- And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. (Ⅱ)
- οἱ μὲν οὖν ἐπορεύοντο χαίροντες ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ συνεδρίου ὅτι ⸂κατηξιώθησαν ὑπὲρ τοῦ ὀνόματος⸃ ἀτιμασθῆναι· (Ⅲ)
- Et illi quidem ibant gaudentes a conspectu concilii, quoniam digni habiti sunt pro nomine Jesu contumeliam pati. (Ⅳ)
5. 42  
Et chaque jour, dans le temple et dans les maisons, ils ne cessaient d'enseigner, et d'annoncer la bonne nouvelle de Jésus Christ.
- And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. (Ⅱ)
- πᾶσάν τε ἡμέραν ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ καὶ κατ’ οἶκον οὐκ ἐπαύοντο διδάσκοντες καὶ εὐαγγελιζόμενοι ⸂τὸν χριστὸν Ἰησοῦν⸃. (Ⅲ)
- Omni autem die non cessabant in templo et circa domos, docentes et evangelizantes Christum Jesum. (Ⅳ)
