8. 1  
Saul avait approuvé le meurtre d'Étienne. Il y eut, ce jour-là, une grande persécution contre l'Église de Jérusalem; et tous, excepté les apôtres, se dispersèrent dans les contrées de la Judée et de la Samarie.
- And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. (Ⅱ)
- Σαῦλος δὲ ἦν συνευδοκῶν τῇ ἀναιρέσει αὐτοῦ. Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ διωγμὸς μέγας ἐπὶ τὴν ἐκκλησίαν τὴν ἐν Ἱεροσολύμοις· πάντες δὲ διεσπάρησαν κατὰ τὰς χώρας τῆς Ἰουδαίας καὶ Σαμαρείας πλὴν τῶν ἀποστόλων. (Ⅲ)
- Saulus autem erat consentiens neci ejus. Facta est autem in illa die persecutio magna in ecclesia quæ erat Jerosolymis, et omnes dispersi sunt per regiones Judææ et Samariæ præter Apostolos. (Ⅳ)

Des hommes pieux ensevelirent Étienne, et le pleurèrent à grand bruit.
- And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. (Ⅱ)
- συνεκόμισαν δὲ τὸν Στέφανον ἄνδρες εὐλαβεῖς καὶ ⸀ἐποίησαν κοπετὸν μέγαν ἐπ’ αὐτῷ. (Ⅲ)
- Curaverunt autem Stephanum viri timorati, et fecerunt planctum magnum super eum. (Ⅳ)

Saul, de son côté, ravageait l'Église; pénétrant dans les maisons, il en arrachait hommes et femmes, et les faisait jeter en prison.
- As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. (Ⅱ)
- Σαῦλος δὲ ἐλυμαίνετο τὴν ἐκκλησίαν κατὰ τοὺς οἴκους εἰσπορευόμενος, σύρων τε ἄνδρας καὶ γυναῖκας παρεδίδου εἰς φυλακήν. (Ⅲ)
- Saulus autem devastabat ecclesiam per domos intrans, et trahens viros ac mulieres, tradebat in custodiam.\ (Ⅳ)

Ceux qui avaient été dispersés allaient de lieu en lieu, annonçant la bonne nouvelle de la parole.
- Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. (Ⅱ)
- Οἱ μὲν οὖν διασπαρέντες διῆλθον εὐαγγελιζόμενοι τὸν λόγον. (Ⅲ)
- Igitur qui dispersi erant pertransibant, evangelizantes verbum Dei. (Ⅳ)

Philippe, étant descendu dans la ville de Samarie, y prêcha le Christ.
- Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. (Ⅱ)
- Φίλιππος δὲ κατελθὼν εἰς ⸀τὴν πόλιν τῆς Σαμαρείας ἐκήρυσσεν αὐτοῖς τὸν χριστόν. (Ⅲ)
- Philippus autem descendens in civitatem Samariæ, prædicabant illis Christum. (Ⅳ)

Les foules tout entières étaient attentives à ce que disait Philippe, lorsqu'elles apprirent et virent les miracles qu'il faisait.
- And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. (Ⅱ)
- προσεῖχον ⸀δὲ οἱ ὄχλοι τοῖς λεγομένοις ὑπὸ τοῦ Φιλίππου ὁμοθυμαδὸν ἐν τῷ ἀκούειν αὐτοὺς καὶ βλέπειν τὰ σημεῖα ἃ ἐποίει· (Ⅲ)
- Intendebant autem turbæ his quæ a Philippo dicebantur, unanimiter audientes, et videntes signa quæ faciebat. (Ⅳ)

Car des esprits impurs sortirent de plusieurs démoniaques, en poussant de grands cris, et beaucoup de paralytiques et de boiteux furent guéris.
- For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. (Ⅱ)
- ⸀πολλοὶ γὰρ τῶν ἐχόντων πνεύματα ἀκάθαρτα βοῶντα φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ⸀ἐξήρχοντο, πολλοὶ δὲ παραλελυμένοι καὶ χωλοὶ ἐθεραπεύθησαν· (Ⅲ)
- Multi enim eorum qui habebant spiritus immundos, clamantes voce magna exibant. Multi autem paralytici et claudi curati sunt. (Ⅳ)

Et il y eut une grande joie dans cette ville.
- And there was great joy in that city. (Ⅱ)
- ⸂ἐγένετο δὲ⸃ ⸂πολλὴ χαρὰ⸃ ἐν τῇ πόλει ἐκείνῃ. (Ⅲ)
- Factum est ergo gaudium magnum in illa civitate. (Ⅳ)

Il y avait auparavant dans la ville un homme nommé Simon, qui, se donnant pour un personnage important, exerçait la magie et provoquait l'étonnement du peuple de la Samarie.
- But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: (Ⅱ)
- Ἀνὴρ δέ τις ὀνόματι Σίμων προϋπῆρχεν ἐν τῇ πόλει μαγεύων καὶ ⸀ἐξιστάνων τὸ ἔθνος τῆς Σαμαρείας, λέγων εἶναί τινα ἑαυτὸν μέγαν, (Ⅲ)
- Vir autem quidam nomine Simon, qui ante fuerat in civitate magus, seducens gentem Samariæ, dicens se esse aliquem magnum : (Ⅳ)
8. 10  
Tous, depuis le plus petit jusqu'au plus grand, l'écoutaient attentivement, et disaient: Celui-ci est la puissance de Dieu, celle qui s'appelle la grande.
- To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. (Ⅱ)
- ᾧ προσεῖχον ⸀πάντες ἀπὸ μικροῦ ἕως μεγάλου λέγοντες· Οὗτός ἐστιν ἡ Δύναμις τοῦ θεοῦ ἡ ⸀καλουμένη Μεγάλη. (Ⅲ)
- cui auscultabant omnes a minimo usque ad maximum, dicentes : Hic est virtus Dei, quæ vocatur magna. (Ⅳ)

Ils l'écoutaient attentivement, parce qu'il les avait longtemps étonnés par ses actes de magie.
- And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. (Ⅱ)
- προσεῖχον δὲ αὐτῷ διὰ τὸ ἱκανῷ χρόνῳ ταῖς μαγείαις ἐξεστακέναι αὐτούς. (Ⅲ)
- Attendebant autem eum : propter quod multo tempore magiis suis dementasset eos. (Ⅳ)
8. 12  
Mais, quand ils eurent cru à Philippe, qui leur annonçait la bonne nouvelle du royaume de Dieu et du nom de Jésus Christ, hommes et femmes se firent baptiser.
- But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. (Ⅱ)
- ὅτε δὲ ἐπίστευσαν τῷ Φιλίππῳ εὐαγγελιζομένῳ ⸀περὶ τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοῦ ὀνόματος Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, ἐβαπτίζοντο ἄνδρες τε καὶ γυναῖκες. (Ⅲ)
- Cum vero credidissent Philippo evangelizanti de regno Dei, in nomine Jesu Christi baptizabantur viri ac mulieres. (Ⅳ)
8. 13  
Simon lui-même crut, et, après avoir été baptisé, il ne quittait plus Philippe, et il voyait avec étonnement les miracles et les grands prodiges qui s'opéraient.
- Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ δὲ Σίμων καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπίστευσεν, καὶ βαπτισθεὶς ἦν προσκαρτερῶν τῷ Φιλίππῳ, θεωρῶν τε ⸂σημεῖα καὶ δυνάμεις μεγάλας γινομένας⸃ ἐξίστατο. (Ⅲ)
- Tunc Simon et ipse credidit : et cum baptizatus esset, adhærebat Philippo. Videns etiam signa et virtutes maximas fieri, stupens admirabatur.\ (Ⅳ)
8. 14  
Les apôtres, qui étaient à Jérusalem, ayant appris que la Samarie avait reçu la parole de Dieu, y envoyèrent Pierre et Jean.
- Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: (Ⅱ)
- Ἀκούσαντες δὲ οἱ ἐν Ἱεροσολύμοις ἀπόστολοι ὅτι δέδεκται ἡ Σαμάρεια τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ, ἀπέστειλαν πρὸς ⸀αὐτοὺς Πέτρον καὶ Ἰωάννην, (Ⅲ)
- Cum autem audissent Apostoli qui erant Jerosolymis, quod recepisset Samaria verbum Dei, miserunt ad eos Petrum et Joannem. (Ⅳ)
8. 15  
Ceux-ci, arrivés chez les Samaritains, prièrent pour eux, afin qu'ils reçussent le Saint Esprit.
- Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (Ⅱ)
- οἵτινες καταβάντες προσηύξαντο περὶ αὐτῶν ὅπως λάβωσιν πνεῦμα ἅγιον· (Ⅲ)
- Qui cum venissent, oraverunt pro ipsis ut acciperent Spiritum Sanctum : (Ⅳ)
8. 16  
Car il n'était encore descendu sur aucun d'eux; ils avaient seulement été baptisés au nom du Seigneur Jésus.
- (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) (Ⅱ)
- ⸀οὐδέπω γὰρ ἦν ἐπ’ οὐδενὶ αὐτῶν ἐπιπεπτωκός, μόνον δὲ βεβαπτισμένοι ὑπῆρχον εἰς τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ ⸀κυρίου Ἰησοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- nondum enim in quemquam illorum venerat, sed baptizati tantum erant in nomine Domini Jesu. (Ⅳ)
8. 17  
Alors Pierre et Jean leur imposèrent les mains, et ils reçurent le Saint Esprit.
- Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. (Ⅱ)
- τότε ⸀ἐπετίθεσαν τὰς χεῖρας ἐπ’ αὐτούς, καὶ ἐλάμβανον πνεῦμα ἅγιον. (Ⅲ)
- Tunc imponebant manus super illos, et accipiebant Spiritum Sanctum. (Ⅳ)
8. 18  
Lorsque Simon vit que le Saint Esprit était donné par l'imposition des mains des apôtres, il leur offrit de l'argent,
- And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, (Ⅱ)
- ⸀ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ Σίμων ὅτι διὰ τῆς ἐπιθέσεως τῶν χειρῶν τῶν ἀποστόλων δίδοται τὸ ⸀πνεῦμα προσήνεγκεν αὐτοῖς χρήματα (Ⅲ)
- Cum vidisset autem Simon quia per impositionem manus Apostolorum daretur Spiritus Sanctus, obtulit eis pecuniam, (Ⅳ)
8. 19  
en disant: Accordez-moi aussi ce pouvoir, afin que celui à qui j'imposerai les mains reçoive le Saint Esprit.
- Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. (Ⅱ)
- λέγων· Δότε κἀμοὶ τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην ἵνα ᾧ ἐὰν ἐπιθῶ τὰς χεῖρας λαμβάνῃ πνεῦμα ἅγιον. (Ⅲ)
- dicens : Date et mihi hanc potestatem, ut cuicumque imposuero manus, accipiat Spiritum Sanctum. Petrus autem dixit ad eum : (Ⅳ)
8. 20  
Mais Pierre lui dit: Que ton argent périsse avec toi, puisque tu as cru que le don de Dieu s'acquérait à prix d'argent!
- But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. (Ⅱ)
- Πέτρος δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν· Τὸ ἀργύριόν σου σὺν σοὶ εἴη εἰς ἀπώλειαν ὅτι τὴν δωρεὰν τοῦ θεοῦ ἐνόμισας διὰ χρημάτων κτᾶσθαι. (Ⅲ)
- Pecunia tua tecum sit in perditionem : quoniam donum Dei existimasti pecunia possideri. (Ⅳ)
8. 21  
Il n'y a pour toi ni part ni lot dans cette affaire, car ton coeur n'est pas droit devant Dieu.
- Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. (Ⅱ)
- οὐκ ἔστιν σοι μερὶς οὐδὲ κλῆρος ἐν τῷ λόγῳ τούτῳ, ἡ γὰρ καρδία σου οὐκ ἔστιν εὐθεῖα ⸀ἔναντι τοῦ θεοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Non est tibi pars neque sors in sermone isto : cor enim tuum non est rectum coram Deo. (Ⅳ)
8. 22  
Repens-toi donc de ta méchanceté, et prie le Seigneur pour que la pensée de ton coeur te soit pardonnée, s'il est possible;
- Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. (Ⅱ)
- μετανόησον οὖν ἀπὸ τῆς κακίας σου ταύτης, καὶ δεήθητι τοῦ ⸀κυρίου εἰ ἄρα ἀφεθήσεταί σοι ἡ ἐπίνοια τῆς καρδίας σου· (Ⅲ)
- Pœnitentiam itaque age ab hac nequitia tua : et roga Deum, si forte remittatur tibi hæc cogitatio cordis tui. (Ⅳ)
8. 23  
car je vois que tu es dans un fiel amer et dans les liens de l'iniquité.
- For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. (Ⅱ)
- εἰς γὰρ χολὴν πικρίας καὶ σύνδεσμον ἀδικίας ὁρῶ σε ὄντα. (Ⅲ)
- In felle enim amaritudinis, et obligatione iniquitatis, video te esse. (Ⅳ)
8. 24  
Simon répondit: Priez vous-mêmes le Seigneur pour moi, afin qu'il ne m'arrive rien de ce que vous avez dit.
- Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me. (Ⅱ)
- ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Σίμων εἶπεν· Δεήθητε ὑμεῖς ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ πρὸς τὸν κύριον ὅπως μηδὲν ἐπέλθῃ ἐπ’ ἐμὲ ὧν εἰρήκατε. (Ⅲ)
- Respondens autem Simon, dixit : Precamini vos pro me ad Dominum, ut nihil veniat super me horum quæ dixistis. (Ⅳ)
8. 25  
Après avoir rendu témoignage à la parole du Seigneur, et après l'avoir prêchée, Pierre et Jean retournèrent à Jérusalem, en annonçant la bonne nouvelle dans plusieurs villages des Samaritains.
- And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. (Ⅱ)
- Οἱ μὲν οὖν διαμαρτυράμενοι καὶ λαλήσαντες τὸν λόγον τοῦ κυρίου ⸀ὑπέστρεφον εἰς ⸀Ἱεροσόλυμα, πολλάς τε κώμας τῶν Σαμαριτῶν ⸀εὐηγγελίζοντο. (Ⅲ)
- Et illi quidem testificati, et locuti verbum Domini, redibant Jerosolymam, et multis regionibus Samaritanorum evangelizabant.\ (Ⅳ)
8. 26  
Un ange du Seigneur, s'adressant à Philippe, lui dit: Lève-toi, et va du côté du midi, sur le chemin qui descend de Jérusalem à Gaza, celui qui est désert.
- And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. (Ⅱ)
- Ἄγγελος δὲ κυρίου ἐλάλησεν πρὸς Φίλιππον λέγων· Ἀνάστηθι καὶ πορεύου κατὰ μεσημβρίαν ἐπὶ τὴν ὁδὸν τὴν καταβαίνουσαν ἀπὸ Ἰερουσαλὴμ εἰς Γάζαν· αὕτη ἐστὶν ἔρημος. (Ⅲ)
- Angelus autem Domini locutus est ad Philippum, dicens : Surge, et vade contra meridianum, ad viam quæ descendit ab Jerusalem in Gazam : hæc est deserta. (Ⅳ)
8. 27  
Il se leva, et partit. Et voici, un Éthiopien, un eunuque, ministre de Candace, reine d'Éthiopie, et surintendant de tous ses trésors, venu à Jérusalem pour adorer,
- And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἀναστὰς ἐπορεύθη, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ Αἰθίοψ εὐνοῦχος δυνάστης ⸀Κανδάκης βασιλίσσης Αἰθιόπων, ὃς ἦν ἐπὶ πάσης τῆς γάζης αὐτῆς, ὃς ἐληλύθει προσκυνήσων εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ, (Ⅲ)
- Et surgens abiit. Et ecce vir Æthiops, eunuchus, potens Candacis reginæ Æthiopum, qui erat super omnes gazas ejus, venerat adorare in Jerusalem : (Ⅳ)
8. 28  
s'en retournait, assis sur son char, et lisait le prophète Ésaïe.
- Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. (Ⅱ)
- ἦν ⸀τε ὑποστρέφων καὶ καθήμενος ἐπὶ τοῦ ἅρματος αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνεγίνωσκεν τὸν προφήτην Ἠσαΐαν. (Ⅲ)
- et revertebatur sedens super currum suum, legensque Isaiam prophetam. (Ⅳ)
8. 29  
L'Esprit dit à Philippe: Avance, et approche-toi de ce char.
- Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. (Ⅱ)
- εἶπεν δὲ τὸ πνεῦμα τῷ Φιλίππῳ· Πρόσελθε καὶ κολλήθητι τῷ ἅρματι τούτῳ. (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem Spiritus Philippo : Accede, et adjunge te ad currum istum. (Ⅳ)
8. 30  
Philippe accourut, et entendit l'Éthiopien qui lisait le prophète Ésaïe. Il lui dit: Comprends-tu ce que tu lis?
- And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? (Ⅱ)
- προσδραμὼν δὲ ὁ Φίλιππος ἤκουσεν αὐτοῦ ἀναγινώσκοντος ⸂Ἠσαΐαν τὸν προφήτην⸃ καὶ εἶπεν· Ἆρά γε γινώσκεις ἃ ἀναγινώσκεις; (Ⅲ)
- Accurrens autem Philippus, audivit eum legentem Isaiam prophetam, et dixit : Putasne intelligis quæ legis ? (Ⅳ)
8. 31  
Il répondit: Comment le pourrais-je, si quelqu'un ne me guide? Et il invita Philippe à monter et à s'asseoir avec lui.
- And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. (Ⅱ)
- ὁ δὲ εἶπεν· Πῶς γὰρ ἂν δυναίμην ἐὰν μή τις ⸀ὁδηγήσει με; παρεκάλεσέν τε τὸν Φίλιππον ἀναβάντα καθίσαι σὺν αὐτῷ. (Ⅲ)
- Qui ait : Et quomodo possum, si non aliquis ostenderit mihi ? Rogavitque Philippum ut ascenderet, et sederet secum. (Ⅳ)
8. 32  
Le passage de l'Écriture qu'il lisait était celui-ci: Il a été mené comme une brebis à la boucherie; Et, comme un agneau muet devant celui qui le tond, Il n'a point ouvert la bouche.
- The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: (Ⅱ)
- ἡ δὲ περιοχὴ τῆς γραφῆς ἣν ἀνεγίνωσκεν ἦν αὕτη· Ὡς πρόβατον ἐπὶ σφαγὴν ἤχθη, καὶ ὡς ἀμνὸς ἐναντίον τοῦ ⸀κείραντος αὐτὸν ἄφωνος, οὕτως οὐκ ἀνοίγει τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- Locus autem Scripturæ quem legebat, erat hic : [Tamquam ovis ad occisionem ductus est :/ et sicut agnus coram tondente se, sine voce,/ sic non aperuit os suum./ (Ⅳ)
8. 33  
Dans son humiliation, son jugement a été levé. Et sa postérité, qui la dépeindra? Car sa vie a été retranchée de la terre.
- In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. (Ⅱ)
- ἐν τῇ ⸀ταπεινώσει ἡ κρίσις αὐτοῦ ἤρθη· ⸀τὴν γενεὰν αὐτοῦ τίς διηγήσεται; ὅτι αἴρεται ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἡ ζωὴ αὐτοῦ. (Ⅲ)
- In humilitate judicium ejus sublatum est./ Generationem ejus quis enarrabit ?/ quoniam tolletur de terra vita ejus.] (Ⅳ)
8. 34  
L'eunuque dit à Philippe: Je te prie, de qui le prophète parle-t-il ainsi? Est-ce de lui-même, ou de quelque autre?
- And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? (Ⅱ)
- ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ εὐνοῦχος τῷ Φιλίππῳ εἶπεν· Δέομαί σου, περὶ τίνος ὁ προφήτης λέγει ⸀τοῦτο; περὶ ἑαυτοῦ ἢ περὶ ἑτέρου τινός; (Ⅲ)
- Respondens autem eunuchus Philippo, dixit : Obsecro te, de quo propheta dicit hoc ? de se, an de alio aliquo ? (Ⅳ)
8. 35  
Alors Philippe, ouvrant la bouche et commençant par ce passage, lui annonça la bonne nouvelle de Jésus.
- Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. (Ⅱ)
- ἀνοίξας δὲ ὁ Φίλιππος τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀρξάμενος ἀπὸ τῆς γραφῆς ταύτης εὐηγγελίσατο αὐτῷ τὸν Ἰησοῦν. (Ⅲ)
- Aperiens autem Philippus os suum, et incipiens a Scriptura ista, evangelizavit illi Jesum. (Ⅳ)
8. 36  
Comme ils continuaient leur chemin, ils rencontrèrent de l'eau. Et l'eunuque dit: Voici de l'eau; qu'est-ce qui empêche que je ne sois baptisé?
- And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? (Ⅱ)
- ὡς δὲ ἐπορεύοντο κατὰ τὴν ὁδόν, ἦλθον ἐπί τι ὕδωρ, καί φησιν ὁ εὐνοῦχος· Ἰδοὺ ὕδωρ, τί κωλύει με ⸀βαπτισθῆναι; (Ⅲ)
- Et dum irent per viam, venerunt ad quamdam aquam : et ait eunuchus : Ecce aqua : quid prohibet me baptizari ? (Ⅳ)

Philippe dit: Si tu crois de tout ton coeur, cela est possible. L'eunuque répondit: Je crois que Jésus Christ est le Fils de Dieu.
- And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. (Ⅱ)
- Dixit autem Philippus : Si credis ex toto corde, licet. Et respondens ait : Credo Filium Dei esse Jesum Christum. (Ⅳ)

Il fit arrêter le char; Philippe et l'eunuque descendirent tous deux dans l'eau, et Philippe baptisa l'eunuque.
- And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. (Ⅱ)
- καὶ ἐκέλευσεν στῆναι τὸ ἅρμα, καὶ κατέβησαν ἀμφότεροι εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ ὅ τε Φίλιππος καὶ ὁ εὐνοῦχος, καὶ ἐβάπτισεν αὐτόν. (Ⅲ)
- Et jussit stare currum : et descenderunt uterque in aquam, Philippus et eunuchus, et baptizavit eum. (Ⅳ)
8. 39  
Quand ils furent sortis de l'eau, l'Esprit du Seigneur enleva Philippe, et l'eunuque ne le vit plus. Tandis que, joyeux, il poursuivait sa route,
- And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. (Ⅱ)
- ὅτε δὲ ἀνέβησαν ἐκ τοῦ ὕδατος, πνεῦμα κυρίου ἥρπασεν τὸν Φίλιππον, καὶ οὐκ εἶδεν αὐτὸν οὐκέτι ὁ εὐνοῦχος, ἐπορεύετο γὰρ τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ χαίρων. (Ⅲ)
- Cum autem ascendissent de aqua, Spiritus Domini rapuit Philippum, et amplius non vidit eum eunuchus. Ibat autem per viam suam gaudens. (Ⅳ)

Philippe se trouva dans Azot, d'où il alla jusqu'à Césarée, en évangélisant toutes les villes par lesquelles il passait.
- But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea. (Ⅱ)
- Φίλιππος δὲ εὑρέθη εἰς Ἄζωτον, καὶ διερχόμενος εὐηγγελίζετο τὰς πόλεις πάσας ἕως τοῦ ἐλθεῖν αὐτὸν εἰς Καισάρειαν. (Ⅲ)
- Philippus autem inventus est in Azoto, et pertransiens evangelizabat civitatibus cunctis, donec veniret Cæsaream. (Ⅳ)
