Τῷ ἀγγέλῳ ⸀τῆς ἐν Ἐφέσῳ ἐκκλησίας γράψον· Τάδε λέγει ὁ κρατῶν τοὺς ἑπτὰ ἀστέρας ἐν τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ, ὁ περιπατῶν ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἑπτὰ λυχνιῶν τῶν χρυσῶν·
- Écris à l'ange de l'Église d'Éphèse: Voici ce que dit celui qui tient les sept étoiles dans sa main droite, celui qui marche au milieu des sept chandeliers d'or: (Ⅱ)
- Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; (Ⅲ)
- Angelo Ephesi ecclesiæ scribe : Hæc dicit, qui tenet septem stellas in dextera sua, qui ambulat in medio septem candelabrorum aureorum : (Ⅳ)
2. 2  
Οἶδα τὰ ἔργα σου, καὶ τὸν ⸀κόπον καὶ τὴν ὑπομονήν σου, καὶ ὅτι οὐ δύνῃ βαστάσαι κακούς, καὶ ἐπείρασας τοὺς λέγοντας ἑαυτοὺς ⸀ἀποστόλους, καὶ οὐκ εἰσίν, καὶ εὗρες αὐτοὺς ψευδεῖς·
- Je connais tes oeuvres, ton travail, et ta persévérance. Je sais que tu ne peux supporter les méchants; que tu as éprouvé ceux qui se disent apôtres et qui ne le sont pas, et que tu les as trouvés menteurs; (Ⅱ)
- I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: (Ⅲ)
- Scio opera tua, et laborem, et patientiam tuam, et quia non potes sustinere malos : et tentasti eos, qui se dicunt apostolos esse, et non sunt : et invenisti eos mendaces : (Ⅳ)
2. 3  
καὶ ὑπομονὴν ἔχεις, καὶ ἐβάστασας διὰ τὸ ὄνομά μου, καὶ ⸂οὐ κεκοπίακες⸃.
- que tu as de la persévérance, que tu as souffert à cause de mon nom, et que tu ne t'es point lassé. (Ⅱ)
- And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. (Ⅲ)
- et patientiam habes, et sustinuisti propter nomen meum, et non defecisti. (Ⅳ)

ἀλλὰ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ ὅτι τὴν ἀγάπην σου τὴν πρώτην ἀφῆκες.
- Mais ce que j'ai contre toi, c'est que tu as abandonné ton premier amour. (Ⅱ)
- Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (Ⅲ)
- Sed habeo adversum te, quod caritatem tuam primam reliquisti. (Ⅳ)
2. 5  
μνημόνευε οὖν πόθεν ⸀πέπτωκας, καὶ μετανόησον καὶ τὰ πρῶτα ἔργα ποίησον· εἰ δὲ μή, ἔρχομαί ⸀σοι, καὶ κινήσω τὴν λυχνίαν σου ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτῆς, ἐὰν μὴ μετανοήσῃς.
- Souviens-toi donc d'où tu es tombé, repens-toi, et pratique tes premières oeuvres; sinon, je viendrai à toi, et j'ôterai ton chandelier de sa place, à moins que tu ne te repentes. (Ⅱ)
- Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Ⅲ)
- Memor esto itaque unde excideris : et age pœnitentiam, et prima opera fac : sin autem, venio tibi, et movebo candelabrum tuum de loco suo, nisi pœnitentiam egeris. (Ⅳ)
2. 6  
ἀλλὰ τοῦτο ἔχεις ὅτι μισεῖς τὰ ἔργα τῶν Νικολαϊτῶν, ἃ κἀγὼ μισῶ.
- Tu as pourtant ceci, c'est que tu hais les oeuvres des Nicolaïtes, oeuvres que je hais aussi. (Ⅱ)
- But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. (Ⅲ)
- Sed hoc habes, quia odisti facta Nicolaitarum, quæ et ego odi. (Ⅳ)
2. 7  
ὁ ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. τῷ νικῶντι δώσω αὐτῷ φαγεῖν ἐκ τοῦ ξύλου τῆς ζωῆς, ὅ ἐστιν ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ τοῦ ⸀θεοῦ.
- Que celui qui a des oreilles entende ce que l'Esprit dit aux Églises: A celui qui vaincra je donnerai à manger de l'arbre de vie, qui est dans le paradis de Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. (Ⅲ)
- Qui habet aurem, audiat quid Spiritus dicat ecclesiis : Vincenti dabo edere de ligno vitæ, quod est in paradiso Dei mei.\ (Ⅳ)
2. 8  
Καὶ τῷ ἀγγέλῳ ⸀τῆς ἐν Σμύρνῃ ἐκκλησίας γράψον· Τάδε λέγει ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος, ὃς ἐγένετο νεκρὸς καὶ ἔζησεν·
- Écris à l'ange de l'Église de Smyrne: Voici ce que dit le premier et le dernier, celui qui était mort, et qui est revenu à la vie: (Ⅱ)
- And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; (Ⅲ)
- Et angelo Smyrnæ ecclesiæ scribe : Hæc dicit primus, et novissimus, qui fuit mortuus, et vivit : (Ⅳ)
2. 9  
Οἶδά ⸀σου τὴν θλῖψιν καὶ τὴν πτωχείαν, ἀλλὰ πλούσιος εἶ, καὶ τὴν βλασφημίαν ἐκ τῶν λεγόντων Ἰουδαίους εἶναι ἑαυτούς, καὶ οὐκ εἰσίν, ἀλλὰ συναγωγὴ τοῦ Σατανᾶ.
- Je connais ta tribulation et ta pauvreté (bien que tu sois riche), et les calomnies de la part de ceux qui se disent Juifs et ne le sont pas, mais qui sont une synagogue de Satan. (Ⅱ)
- I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. (Ⅲ)
- Scio tribulationem tuam, et paupertatem tuam, sed dives es : et blasphemaris ab his, qui se dicunt Judæos esse, et non sunt, sed sunt synagoga Satanæ. (Ⅳ)
2. 10  
⸀μηδὲν φοβοῦ ἃ μέλλεις ⸀πάσχειν. ⸀ἰδοὺ μέλλει ⸀βάλλειν ὁ διάβολος ἐξ ὑμῶν εἰς φυλακὴν ἵνα πειρασθῆτε, καὶ ⸀ἕξετε θλῖψιν ἡμερῶν δέκα. γίνου πιστὸς ἄχρι θανάτου, καὶ δώσω σοι τὸν στέφανον τῆς ζωῆς.
- Ne crains pas ce que tu vas souffrir. Voici, le diable jettera quelques-uns de vous en prison, afin que vous soyez éprouvés, et vous aurez une tribulation de dix jours. Sois fidèle jusqu'à la mort, et je te donnerai la couronne de vie. (Ⅱ)
- Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (Ⅲ)
- Nihil horum timeas quæ passurus es. Ecce missurus est diabolus aliquos ex vobis in carcerem ut tentemini : et habebitis tribulationem diebus decem. Esto fidelis usque ad mortem, et dabo tibi coronam vitæ. (Ⅳ)
2. 11  
ὁ ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. ὁ νικῶν οὐ μὴ ἀδικηθῇ ἐκ τοῦ θανάτου τοῦ δευτέρου.
- Que celui qui a des oreilles entende ce que l'Esprit dit aux Églises: Celui qui vaincra n'aura pas à souffrir la seconde mort. (Ⅱ)
- He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. (Ⅲ)
- Qui habet aurem, audiat quid Spiritus dicat ecclesiis : Qui vicerit, non lædetur a morte secunda.\ (Ⅳ)
2. 12  
Καὶ τῷ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν Περγάμῳ ἐκκλησίας γράψον· Τάδε λέγει ὁ ἔχων τὴν ῥομφαίαν τὴν δίστομον τὴν ὀξεῖαν·
- Écris à l'ange de l'Église de Pergame: Voici ce que dit celui qui a l'épée aiguë, à deux tranchants: (Ⅱ)
- And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; (Ⅲ)
- Et angelo Pergami ecclesiæ scribe : Hæc dicit qui habet rhomphæam utraque parte acutam : (Ⅳ)
2. 13  
⸀Οἶδα ποῦ κατοικεῖς, ὅπου ὁ θρόνος τοῦ Σατανᾶ, καὶ κρατεῖς τὸ ὄνομά μου, καὶ οὐκ ἠρνήσω τὴν πίστιν μου ⸀καὶ ἐν ταῖς ⸀ἡμέραις Ἀντιπᾶς, ὁ μάρτυς μου, ὁ πιστός ⸀μου, ὃς ἀπεκτάνθη παρ’ ὑμῖν, ὅπου ὁ Σατανᾶς κατοικεῖ.
- Je sais où tu demeures, je sais que là est le trône de Satan. Tu retiens mon nom, et tu n'as pas renié ma foi, même aux jours d'Antipas, mon témoin fidèle, qui a été mis à mort chez vous, là où Satan a sa demeure. (Ⅱ)
- I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. (Ⅲ)
- Scio ubi habitas, ubi sedes est Satanæ : et tenes nomen meum, et non negasti fidem meam. Et in diebus illis Antipas testis meus fidelis, qui occisus est apud vos ubi Satanas habitat. (Ⅳ)
2. 14  
ἀλλὰ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ ὀλίγα, ὅτι ἔχεις ἐκεῖ κρατοῦντας τὴν διδαχὴν Βαλαάμ, ὃς ⸂ἐδίδασκεν τῷ⸃ Βαλὰκ βαλεῖν σκάνδαλον ἐνώπιον τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ, ⸀φαγεῖν εἰδωλόθυτα καὶ πορνεῦσαι·
- Mais j'ai quelque chose contre toi, c'est que tu as là des gens attachés à la doctrine de Balaam, qui enseignait à Balak à mettre une pierre d'achoppement devant les fils d'Israël, pour qu'ils mangeassent des viandes sacrifiées aux idoles et qu'ils se livrassent à l'impudicité. (Ⅱ)
- But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. (Ⅲ)
- Sed habeo adversus te pauca : quia habes illic tenentes doctrinam Balaam, qui docebat Balac mittere scandalum coram filiis Israël, edere, et fornicari : (Ⅳ)
2. 15  
οὕτως ἔχεις καὶ σὺ κρατοῦντας τὴν ⸀διδαχὴν Νικολαϊτῶν ὁμοίως.
- De même, toi aussi, tu as des gens attachés pareillement à la doctrine des Nicolaïtes. (Ⅱ)
- So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. (Ⅲ)
- ita habes et tu tenentes doctrinam Nicolaitarum. (Ⅳ)
2. 16  
μετανόησον οὖν· εἰ δὲ μή, ἔρχομαί σοι ταχύ, καὶ πολεμήσω μετ’ αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ ῥομφαίᾳ τοῦ στόματός μου.
- Repens-toi donc; sinon, je viendrai à toi bientôt, et je les combattrai avec l'épée de ma bouche. (Ⅱ)
- Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. (Ⅲ)
- Similiter pœnitentiam age : si quominus veniam tibi cito, et pugnabo cum illis in gladio oris mei. (Ⅳ)
2. 17  
ὁ ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. τῷ νικῶντι δώσω ⸀αὐτῷ τοῦ μάννα τοῦ κεκρυμμένου, καὶ δώσω αὐτῷ ψῆφον λευκήν, καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν ψῆφον ὄνομα καινὸν γεγραμμένον ὃ οὐδεὶς οἶδεν εἰ μὴ ὁ λαμβάνων.
- Que celui qui a des oreilles entende ce que l'Esprit dit aux Églises: A celui qui vaincra je donnerai de la manne cachée, et je lui donnerai un caillou blanc; et sur ce caillou est écrit un nom nouveau, que personne ne connaît, si ce n'est celui qui le reçoit. (Ⅱ)
- He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. (Ⅲ)
- Qui habet aurem, audiat quid Spiritus dicat ecclesiis : Vincenti dabo manna absconditum, et dabo illi calculum candidum : et in calculo nomen novum scriptum, quod nemo scit, nisi qui accipit.\ (Ⅳ)
2. 18  
Καὶ τῷ ἀγγέλῳ ⸀τῆς ἐν Θυατείροις ἐκκλησίας γράψον· Τάδε λέγει ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ, ὁ ἔχων τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ ὡς φλόγα πυρός, καὶ οἱ πόδες αὐτοῦ ὅμοιοι χαλκολιβάνῳ·
- Écris à l'ange de l'Église de Thyatire: Voici ce que dit le Fils de Dieu, celui qui a les yeux comme une flamme de feu, et dont les pieds sont semblables à de l'airain ardent: (Ⅱ)
- And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; (Ⅲ)
- Et angelo Thyatiræ ecclesiæ scribe : Hæc dicit Filius Dei, qui habet oculos tamquam flammam ignis, et pedes ejus similes auricalco : (Ⅳ)
2. 19  
Οἶδά σου τὰ ἔργα, καὶ τὴν ⸂ἀγάπην καὶ τὴν πίστιν⸃ καὶ τὴν διακονίαν καὶ τὴν ὑπομονήν σου, καὶ τὰ ἔργα σου τὰ ἔσχατα πλείονα τῶν πρώτων.
- Je connais tes oeuvres, ton amour, ta foi, ton fidèle service, ta constance, et tes dernières oeuvres plus nombreuses que les premières. (Ⅱ)
- I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. (Ⅲ)
- Novi opera tua, et fidem, et caritatem tuam, et ministerium, et patientiam tuam, et opera tua novissima plura prioribus. (Ⅳ)
2. 20  
ἀλλὰ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ ὅτι ἀφεῖς τὴν ⸀γυναῖκα Ἰεζάβελ, ἡ ⸀λέγουσα ἑαυτὴν προφῆτιν, καὶ διδάσκει καὶ πλανᾷ τοὺς ἐμοὺς δούλους πορνεῦσαι καὶ φαγεῖν εἰδωλόθυτα.
- Mais ce que j'ai contre toi, c'est que tu laisses la femme Jézabel, qui se dit prophétesse, enseigner et séduire mes serviteurs, pour qu'ils se livrent à l'impudicité et qu'ils mangent des viandes sacrifiées aux idoles. (Ⅱ)
- Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. (Ⅲ)
- Sed habeo adversus te pauca : quia permittis mulierem Jezabel, quæ se dicit propheten, docere, et seducere servos meos, fornicari, et manducare de idolothytis. (Ⅳ)
2. 21  
καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτῇ χρόνον ἵνα μετανοήσῃ, καὶ οὐ θέλει μετανοῆσαι ἐκ τῆς πορνείας αὐτῆς.
- Je lui ai donné du temps, afin qu'elle se repentît, et elle ne veut pas se repentir de son impudicité. (Ⅱ)
- And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. (Ⅲ)
- Et dedi illi tempus ut pœnitentiam ageret : et non vult pœnitere a fornicatione sua. (Ⅳ)
2. 22  
ἰδοὺ βάλλω αὐτὴν εἰς κλίνην, καὶ τοὺς μοιχεύοντας μετ’ αὐτῆς εἰς θλῖψιν μεγάλην, ἐὰν μὴ ⸀μετανοήσωσιν ἐκ τῶν ἔργων αὐτῆς·
- Voici, je vais la jeter sur un lit, et envoyer une grande tribulation à ceux qui commettent adultère avec elle, à moins qu'ils ne se repentent de leurs oeuvres. (Ⅱ)
- Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. (Ⅲ)
- Ecce mittam eam in lectum : et qui mœchantur cum ea, in tribulatione maxima erunt, nisi pœnitentiam ab operibus suis egerint. (Ⅳ)
2. 23  
καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς ἀποκτενῶ ἐν θανάτῳ· καὶ γνώσονται πᾶσαι αἱ ἐκκλησίαι ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ἐραυνῶν νεφροὺς καὶ καρδίας, καὶ δώσω ὑμῖν ἑκάστῳ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα ὑμῶν.
- Je ferai mourir de mort ses enfants; et toutes les Églises connaîtront que je suis celui qui sonde les reins et les coeurs, et je vous rendrai à chacun selon vos oeuvres. (Ⅱ)
- And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. (Ⅲ)
- Et filios ejus interficiam in morte, et scient omnes ecclesiæ, quia ego sum scrutans renes, et corda : et dabo unicuique vestrum secundum opera sua. Vobis autem dico, (Ⅳ)
2. 24  
ὑμῖν δὲ λέγω τοῖς λοιποῖς τοῖς ἐν Θυατείροις, ὅσοι οὐκ ἔχουσιν τὴν διδαχὴν ταύτην, οἵτινες οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τὰ βαθέα τοῦ Σατανᾶ, ὡς λέγουσιν, οὐ βάλλω ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἄλλο βάρος·
- A vous, à tous les autres de Thyatire, qui ne reçoivent pas cette doctrine, et qui n'ont pas connu les profondeurs de Satan, comme ils les appellent, je vous dis: Je ne mets pas sur vous d'autre fardeau; (Ⅱ)
- But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. (Ⅲ)
- et ceteris qui Thyatiræ estis : quicumque non habent doctrinam hanc, et qui non cognoverunt altitudines Satanæ, quemadmodum dicunt, non mittam super vos aliud pondus : (Ⅳ)
2. 25  
πλὴν ὃ ἔχετε κρατήσατε ἄχρι οὗ ἂν ἥξω.
- seulement, ce que vous avez, retenez-le jusqu'à ce que je vienne. (Ⅱ)
- But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. (Ⅲ)
- tamen id quod habetis, tenete donec veniam. (Ⅳ)
2. 26  
καὶ ὁ νικῶν καὶ ὁ τηρῶν ἄχρι τέλους τὰ ἔργα μου, δώσω αὐτῷ ἐξουσίαν ἐπὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν,
- A celui qui vaincra, et qui gardera jusqu'à la fin mes oeuvres, je donnerai autorité sur les nations. (Ⅱ)
- And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: (Ⅲ)
- Et qui vicerit, et custodierit usque in finem opera mea, dabo illi potestatem super gentes, (Ⅳ)
2. 27  
καὶ ποιμανεῖ αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥάβδῳ σιδηρᾷ ὡς τὰ σκεύη τὰ κεραμικὰ ⸀συντρίβεται,
- Il les paîtra avec une verge de fer, comme on brise les vases d'argile, ainsi que moi-même j'en ai reçu le pouvoir de mon Père. (Ⅱ)
- And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. (Ⅲ)
- et reget eas in virga ferrea, et tamquam vas figuli confringentur, (Ⅳ)
2. 28  
ὡς κἀγὼ εἴληφα παρὰ τοῦ πατρός μου, καὶ δώσω αὐτῷ τὸν ἀστέρα τὸν πρωϊνόν.
- Et je lui donnerai l'étoile du matin. (Ⅱ)
- And I will give him the morning star. (Ⅲ)
- sicut et ego accepi a Patre meo : et dabo illi stellam matutinam. (Ⅳ)
2. 29  
ὁ ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις.
- Que celui qui a des oreilles entende ce que l'Esprit dit aux Églises! (Ⅱ)
- He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Ⅲ)
- Qui habet aurem, audiat quid Spiritus dicat ecclesiis. (Ⅳ)
