111. 0  
Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena
- The Beneficent, the Merciful, (Ⅰ)
- In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅱ)
- Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅲ)
- بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (Ⅳ)
- Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)
111. 1  
Tabbat yada abee lahabin watabba
- Perish shall the hands of The Father of Flame, and he shall perish! (Ⅰ)
- The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. (Ⅱ)
- Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! (Ⅲ)
- بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ (Ⅳ)
- Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! (Ⅵ)
111. 2  
Ma aghna AAanhu maluhu wama kasaba
- His wealth shall not avail him, nor what he has gained! (Ⅰ)
- His wealth and gains will not exempt him. (Ⅱ)
- His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; (Ⅲ)
- مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ (Ⅳ)
- No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! (Ⅵ)
111. 3  
Sayasla naran thata lahabin
- He shall soon broil in a Fire that flames, (Ⅰ)
- He will be plunged in flaming Fire, (Ⅱ)
- he shall roast at a flaming fire (Ⅲ)
- سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ (Ⅳ)
- Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! (Ⅵ)
111. 4  
Waimraatuhu hammalata alhatabi
- And his wife shall carry the wood as fuel. (Ⅰ)
- And his wife, the wood-carrier, (Ⅱ)
- and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, (Ⅲ)
- وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ (Ⅳ)
- His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- (Ⅵ)
111. 5  
Fee jeediha hablun min masadin
- On her own neck a cord of palm fibres. (Ⅰ)
- Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. (Ⅱ)
- upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. (Ⅲ)
- فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ (Ⅳ)
- A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! (Ⅵ)
