"All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known.
- LamajmooAAoona ila meeqati yawmin maAAloomin (Ⅰ) - "Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day. (Ⅱ) - Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day. (Ⅲ) - shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day. (Ⅳ) - لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ (Ⅴ)

"Then will ye truly,- O ye that go wrong, and treat (Truth) as Falsehood!-
- Thumma innakum ayyuha alddalloona almukaththiboona (Ⅰ) - "Then shall you, O you who err and call it a lie! (Ⅱ) - Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers, (Ⅲ) - Then you erring ones, you that cried lies, (Ⅳ) - ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا الضَّالُّونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ (Ⅴ)

"Ye will surely taste of the Tree of Zaqqum.
- Laakiloona min shajarin min zaqqoomin (Ⅰ) - "Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqum, (Ⅱ) - Ye verily will eat of a tree called Zaqqum (Ⅲ) - you shall eat of a tree called Zakkoum, (Ⅳ) - لَآكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍ مِّن زَقُّومٍ (Ⅴ)

"Then will ye fill your insides therewith,
- Famalioona minha albutoona (Ⅰ) - "And fill your bellies therewith; (Ⅱ) - And will fill your bellies therewith; (Ⅲ) - and you shall fill therewith your bellies (Ⅳ) - فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ (Ⅴ)

"And drink Boiling Water on top of it:
- Fashariboona AAalayhi mina alhameemi (Ⅰ) - "Then drink over it boiling water; (Ⅱ) - And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, (Ⅲ) - and drink on top of that boiling water (Ⅳ) - فَشَارِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ (Ⅴ)

"Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!"
- Fashariboona shurba alheemi (Ⅰ) - "And drink as drinks the thirsty camel." (Ⅱ) - Drinking even as the camel drinketh. (Ⅲ) - lapping it down like thirsty camels.´ (Ⅳ) - فَشَارِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ (Ⅴ)

Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital!
- Hatha nuzuluhum yawma alddeeni (Ⅰ) - This is their entertainment on the Day of Requital. (Ⅱ) - This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. (Ⅲ) - This shall be their hospitality on the Day of Doom. (Ⅳ) - هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ (Ⅴ)

It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth?
- Nahnu khalaqnakum falawla tusaddiqoona (Ⅰ) - We have created you, why do you not then assent? (Ⅱ) - We created you. Will ye then admit the truth ? (Ⅲ) - We created you; therefore why will you not believe? (Ⅳ) - نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ (Ⅴ)

Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,-
- Afaraaytum ma tumnoona (Ⅰ) - Have you considered the seed (or what you emit)? (Ⅱ) - Have ye seen that which ye emit ? (Ⅲ) - Have you considered the seed you spill? (Ⅳ) - أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ (Ⅴ)

Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators?
- Aantum takhluqoonahu am nahnu alkhaliqoona (Ⅰ) - Is it you that create it or are We the creators? (Ⅱ) - Do ye create it or are We the Creator ? (Ⅲ) - Do you yourselves create it, or are We the Creators? (Ⅳ) - أَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ (Ⅴ)

We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated
- Nahnu qaddarna baynakumu almawta wama nahnu bimasbooqeena (Ⅰ) - We have ordained death among you and We are not to be frustrated, (Ⅱ) - We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun, (Ⅲ) - We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; (Ⅳ) - نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ (Ⅴ)

from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not.
- AAala an nubaddila amthalakum wanunshiakum fee ma la taAAlamoona (Ⅰ) - That We may transfigure you and make you grow into what you know not. (Ⅱ) - That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not. (Ⅲ) - that We may exchange the likes of you, and make you to grow again in a fashion you know not. (Ⅳ) - عَلَىٰ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ (Ⅴ)

And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises?
- Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnashata aloola falawla tathakkaroona (Ⅰ) - And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then reflect? (Ⅱ) - And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect ? (Ⅲ) - You have known the first growth; so why will you not remember? (Ⅳ) - وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ (Ⅴ)

See ye the seed that ye sow in the ground?
- Afaraaytum ma tahruthoona (Ⅰ) - Have you considered what you sow? (Ⅱ) - Have ye seen that which ye cultivate ? (Ⅲ) - Have you considered the soil you till? (Ⅳ) - أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ (Ⅴ)

Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause?
- Aantum tazraAAoonahu am nahnu alzzariAAoona (Ⅰ) - Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the cause. (Ⅱ) - Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer ? (Ⅲ) - Do you yourselves sow it, or are We the Sowers? (Ⅳ) - أَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ (Ⅴ)

Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment,
- Law nashao lajaAAalnahu hutaman fathaltum tafakkahoona (Ⅰ) - If We willed, We could crumble it to powder, then would you lament, (Ⅱ) - If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim: (Ⅲ) - Did We will, We would make it broken orts, and you would remain bitterly jesting -- (Ⅳ) - لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ (Ⅴ)

(Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing):
- Inna lamughramoona (Ⅰ) - "Surely we are burdened with debt; (Ⅱ) - Lo! we are laden with debt! (Ⅲ) - ´We are debt-loaded; (Ⅳ) - إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ (Ⅴ)

"Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labour)"
- Bal nahnu mahroomoona (Ⅰ) - "Nay! We are deprived." (Ⅱ) - Nay, but we are deprived! (Ⅲ) - nay, we have been robbed!´ (Ⅳ) - بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ (Ⅴ)

See ye the water which ye drink?
- Afaraaytumu almaa allathee tashraboona (Ⅰ) - Have you considered the water which you drink? (Ⅱ) - Have ye observed the water which ye drink ? (Ⅲ) - Have you considered the water you drink? (Ⅳ) - أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ الْمَاءَ الَّذِي تَشْرَبُونَ (Ⅴ)

Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We?
- Aantum anzaltumoohu mina almuzni am nahnu almunziloona (Ⅰ) - Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? (Ⅱ) - Is it ye who shed it from the raincloud, or are We the Shedder ? (Ⅲ) - Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it? (Ⅳ) - أَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنزِلُونَ (Ⅴ)

Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks?
- Law nashao jaAAalnahu ojajan falawla tashkuroona (Ⅰ) - If We willed, We could have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks? (Ⅱ) - If We willed We verily could make it bitter. Why then, give ye not thanks ? (Ⅲ) - Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? (Ⅳ) - لَوْ نَشَاءُ جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ (Ⅴ)

See ye the Fire which ye kindle?
- Afaraaytumu alnnara allatee tooroona (Ⅰ) - Have you considered the fire which you strike? (Ⅱ) - Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; (Ⅲ) - Have you considered the fire you kindle? (Ⅳ) - أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِي تُورُونَ (Ⅴ)

Is it ye who grow the tree which feeds the fire, or do We grow it?
- Aantum anshatum shajarataha am nahnu almunshioona (Ⅰ) - Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? (Ⅱ) - Was it ye who made the tree thereof to grow, or were We the grower ? (Ⅲ) - Did you make its timber to grow, or did We make it? (Ⅳ) - أَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنشِئُونَ (Ⅴ)

We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts.
- Nahnu jaAAalnaha tathkiratan wamataAAan lilmuqweena (Ⅰ) - We have made it a reminder and a convenience for the dwellers of the deserts. (Ⅱ) - We, even We, appointed it a memorial and a comfort for the dwellers in the wilderness. (Ⅲ) - We Ourselves made it for a reminder, and a boon to the desert-dwellers. (Ⅳ) - نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ (Ⅴ)

Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme!
- Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi (Ⅰ) - Therefore, glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. (Ⅱ) - Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. (Ⅲ) - Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. (Ⅳ) - فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ (Ⅴ)

Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,-
- Fala oqsimu bimawaqiAAi alnnujoomi (Ⅰ) - But nay! I swear by the setting (or falling or fading) of stars; (Ⅱ) - Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - (Ⅲ) - No! I swear by the fallings of the stars (Ⅳ) - ۞ فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُومِ (Ⅴ)

And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,-
- Wainnahu laqasamun law taAAlamoona AAatheemun (Ⅰ) - And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; (Ⅱ) - And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - (Ⅲ) - (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) (Ⅳ) - وَإِنَّهُ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ (Ⅴ)

That this is indeed a qur´an Most Honourable,
- Innahu laquranun kareemun (Ⅰ) - Most surely it is an honoured Quran, (Ⅱ) - That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an (Ⅲ) - it is surely a noble Koran (Ⅳ) - إِنَّهُ لَقُرْآنٌ كَرِيمٌ (Ⅴ)

In Book well-guarded,
- Fee kitabin maknoonin (Ⅰ) - In a book that is protected (Ⅱ) - In a Book kept hidden (Ⅲ) - in a hidden Book (Ⅳ) - فِي كِتَابٍ مَّكْنُونٍ (Ⅴ)

Which none shall touch but those who are clean:
- La yamassuhu illa almutahharoona (Ⅰ) - None shall touch it save the purified ones. (Ⅱ) - Which none toucheth save the purified, (Ⅲ) - none but the purified shall touch, (Ⅳ) - لَّا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ (Ⅴ)

A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
- Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ) - A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. (Ⅱ) - A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. (Ⅲ) - a sending down from the Lord of all Being. (Ⅳ) - تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (Ⅴ)

Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem?
- Afabihatha alhadeethi antum mudhinoona (Ⅰ) - Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? (Ⅱ) - Is it this Statement that ye scorn, (Ⅲ) - What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, (Ⅳ) - أَفَبِهَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ (Ⅴ)

And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false?
- WatajAAaloona rizqakum annakum tukaththiboona (Ⅰ) - And make denial of it your means of subsistence. (Ⅱ) - And make denial thereof your livelihood ? (Ⅲ) - and do you make it your living to cry lies? (Ⅳ) - وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ (Ⅴ)

Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,-
- Falawla itha balaghati alhulqooma (Ⅰ) - Why then do you not (intervene) when the soul comes up to the throat (of a dying person), (Ⅱ) - Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) (Ⅲ) - Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying (Ⅳ) - فَلَوْلَا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ (Ⅴ)

And ye the while (sit) looking on,-
- Waantum heenaithin tanthuroona (Ⅰ) - And you the while look on - (Ⅱ) - And ye are at that moment looking (Ⅲ) - and that hour you are watching (Ⅳ) - وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ (Ⅴ)

But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,-
- Wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walakin la tubsiroona (Ⅰ) - And We are nearer to it (the soul) than you, but you see not - (Ⅱ) - - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - (Ⅲ) - (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) (Ⅳ) - وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ (Ⅴ)

Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,-
- Falawla in kuntum ghayra madeeneena (Ⅰ) - Then why, if you are not under Our authority, (Ⅱ) - Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), (Ⅲ) - why, if you are not at Our disposal, (Ⅳ) - فَلَوْلَا إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ (Ⅴ)

Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)?
- TarjiAAoonaha in kuntum sadiqeena (Ⅰ) - Force back (the soul), if you are truthful (about your independence)? (Ⅱ) - Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful ? (Ⅲ) - do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? (Ⅳ) - تَرْجِعُونَهَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (Ⅴ)

Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah,
- Faamma in kana mina almuqarrabeena (Ⅰ) - Then if he is one of those Near to Allah, (Ⅱ) - Thus if he is of those brought nigh, (Ⅲ) - Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, (Ⅳ) - فَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ (Ⅴ)

(There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights.
- Farawhun warayhanun wajannatu naAAeemin (Ⅰ) - (There is for him) Satisfaction and Bounty and a Garden of Bliss. (Ⅱ) - Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. (Ⅲ) - there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; (Ⅳ) - فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ (Ⅴ)

And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand,
- Waamma in kana min ashabi alyameeni (Ⅰ) - And if he is one of those on the Right Hand, (Ⅱ) - And if he is of those on the right hand, (Ⅲ) - and if he be a Companion of the Right: (Ⅳ) - وَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ (Ⅴ)

(For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand.
- Fasalamun laka min ashabi alyameeni (Ⅰ) - Then (the salutation) "Peace to you” from the companions of the Right Hand. (Ⅱ) - Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. (Ⅲ) - ´Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!´ (Ⅳ) - فَسَلَامٌ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ (Ⅴ)

And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong,
- Waamma in kana mina almukaththibeena alddalleena (Ⅰ) - And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, (Ⅱ) - But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, (Ⅲ) - But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, (Ⅳ) - وَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الضَّالِّينَ (Ⅴ)

For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water.
- Fanuzulun min hameemin (Ⅰ) - He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, (Ⅱ) - Then the welcome will be boiling water (Ⅲ) - there shall be a hospitality of boiling water (Ⅳ) - فَنُزُلٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ (Ⅴ)

And burning in Hell-Fire.
- Watasliyatu jaheemin (Ⅰ) - And burning in Hell. (Ⅱ) - And roasting at hell-fire. (Ⅲ) - and the roasting in Hell. (Ⅳ) - وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ (Ⅴ)

Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly.
- Inna hatha lahuwa haqqu alyaqeeni (Ⅰ) - Most surely this is a certain truth (or the Truth of Certainty). (Ⅱ) - Lo! this is certain truth. (Ⅲ) - Surely this is the truth of certainty. (Ⅳ) - إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الْيَقِينِ (Ⅴ)
