74. 50  
as if they were startled asses
- Kaannahum humurun mustanfiratun (Ⅰ)
- As if they were frightened asses (Ⅱ)
- As they were frightened asses (Ⅲ)
- كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ (Ⅳ)
- As if they were affrighted asses, (Ⅵ)
74. 51  
fleeing -- before a lion?
- Farrat min qaswaratin (Ⅰ)
- Fleeing from a lion? (Ⅱ)
- Fleeing from a lion ? (Ⅲ)
- فَرَّتْ مِن قَسْوَرَةٍ (Ⅳ)
- Fleeing from a lion! (Ⅵ)
74. 52  
Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled.
- Bal yureedu kullu imriin minhum an yuta suhufan munashsharatan (Ⅰ)
- Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out (or open); (Ⅱ)
- Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). (Ⅲ)
- بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً (Ⅳ)
- Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! (Ⅵ)
74. 53  
No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter.
- Kalla bal la yakhafoona alakhirata (Ⅰ)
- Nay! But they do not fear the Hereafter. (Ⅱ)
- Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. (Ⅲ)
- كَلَّا ۖ بَل لَّا يَخَافُونَ الْآخِرَةَ (Ⅳ)
- By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, (Ⅵ)
74. 54  
No indeed; surely it is a Reminder;
- Kalla innahu tathkiratun (Ⅰ)
- Nay! This surely is an admonition. (Ⅱ)
- Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. (Ⅲ)
- كَلَّا إِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌ (Ⅳ)
- Nay, this surely is an admonition: (Ⅵ)
74. 55  
so whoever wills shall remember it.
- Faman shaa thakarahu (Ⅰ)
- Let any who will, pay heed (or remember). (Ⅱ)
- So whosoever will may heed. (Ⅲ)
- فَمَن شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ (Ⅳ)
- Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! (Ⅵ)
74. 56  
And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive.
- Wama yathkuroona illa an yashaa Allahu huwa ahlu alttaqwa waahlu almaghfirati (Ⅰ)
- But none will remember (or heed) unless Allah wills. He is the source of fear (or righteousness) and the source of Mercy. (Ⅱ)
- And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. (Ⅲ)
- وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ (Ⅳ)
- But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. (Ⅵ)
