The Beneficent, the Merciful,
- Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena (Ⅰ) - In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ⅱ) - Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, (Ⅲ) - بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (Ⅳ) - Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; (Ⅵ)

93.
1
By the glorious morning light!
- Waaldduha (Ⅰ) - By the morning hours (Ⅱ) - By the white forenoon (Ⅲ) - بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالضُّحَىٰ (Ⅳ) - By the Glorious Morning Light, (Ⅵ)

And the night when it is still!
- Waallayli itha saja (Ⅰ) - And by the night when it is stillest, (Ⅱ) - and the brooding night! (Ⅲ) - وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ (Ⅳ) - And by the Night when it is still,- (Ⅵ)

Your Lord has not forsaken you (Muhammad), nor is displeased with you!
- Ma waddaAAaka rabbuka wama qala (Ⅰ) - Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, (Ⅱ) - Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee (Ⅲ) - مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ (Ⅳ) - Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. (Ⅵ)

And surely the Hereafter is better for you than the present;
- Walalakhiratu khayrun laka mina aloola (Ⅰ) - And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, (Ⅱ) - and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. (Ⅲ) - وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ (Ⅳ) - And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. (Ⅵ)

And in the end your Lord will give you, and you shall be well pleased!
- Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatarda (Ⅰ) - And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. (Ⅱ) - Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. (Ⅲ) - وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ (Ⅳ) - And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. (Ⅵ)

Did He not find you an orphan, and give you protection?
- Alam yajidka yateeman faawa (Ⅰ) - Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee) ? (Ⅱ) - Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? (Ⅲ) - أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ (Ⅳ) - Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? (Ⅵ)

93.

And find you wandering (or astray), and guide you ?
- Wawajadaka dallan fahada (Ⅰ) - Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee) ? (Ⅱ) - Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? (Ⅲ) - وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ (Ⅳ) - And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. (Ⅵ)

And find you in need, and enriched you (or made you independent)?
- Wawajadaka AAailan faaghna (Ⅰ) - Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee) ? (Ⅱ) - Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? (Ⅲ) - وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ (Ⅳ) - And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. (Ⅵ)

Therefore, the orphan oppress him not;
- Faamma alyateema fala taqhar (Ⅰ) - Therefor the orphan oppress not, (Ⅱ) - As for the orphan, do not oppress him, (Ⅲ) - فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ (Ⅳ) - Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, (Ⅵ)

Nor the beggar (or petitioner) drive away,
- Waamma alssaila fala tanhar (Ⅰ) - Therefor the beggar drive not away, (Ⅱ) - and as for the beggar, scold him not; (Ⅲ) - وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ (Ⅳ) - Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); (Ⅵ)

And as for the favour of your Lord, discourse (proclaim) thereof.
- Waamma biniAAmati rabbika fahaddith (Ⅰ) - Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. (Ⅱ) - and as for thy Lord´s blessing, declare it. (Ⅲ) - وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ (Ⅳ) - But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! (Ⅵ)
