7. 1

‫ 1 ׃7 וככלות שלמה להתפלל והאש ירדה מהשמים ותאכל העלה והזבחים וכבוד יהוה מלא את הבית ‬

- Lorsque Salomon eut achevé de prier, le feu descendit du ciel et consuma l'holocauste et les sacrifices, et la gloire de l'Éternel remplit la maison. (Ⅱ)

- Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ὡς συνετέλεσεν Σαλωμων προσευχόμενος καὶ τὸ πυ̃ρ κατέβη ἐκ του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ κατέφαγεν τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ τὰς θυσίας καὶ δόξα κυρίου ἔπλησεν τὸν οἰ̃κον (Ⅳ)

- Cumque complesset Salomon fundens preces, ignis descendit de cælo, et devoravit holocausta et victimas : et majestas Domini implevit domum. (Ⅴ)

7. 2

‫ 2 ׃7 ולא יכלו הכהנים לבוא אל בית יהוה כי מלא כבוד יהוה את בית יהוה ‬

- Les sacrificateurs ne pouvaient entrer dans la maison de l'Éternel, car la gloire de l'Éternel remplissait la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD's house. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο οἱ ἱερει̃ς εἰσελθει̃ν εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον κυρίου ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ ὅτι ἔπλησεν δόξα κυρίου τὸν οἰ̃κον (Ⅳ)

- Nec poterant sacerdotes ingredi templum Domini, eo quod implesset majestas Domini templum Domini. (Ⅴ)

7. 3

‫ 3 ׃7 וכל בני ישראל ראים ברדת האש וכבוד יהוה על הבית ויכרעו אפים ארצה על הרצפה וישתחוו והודות ליהוה כי טוב כי לעולם חסדו ‬

- Tous les enfants d'Israël virent descendre le feu et la gloire de l'Éternel sur la maison; ils s'inclinèrent le visage contre terre sur le pavé, se prosternèrent et louèrent l'Éternel, en disant: Car il est bon, car sa miséricorde dure à toujours! (Ⅱ)

- And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ πάντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἑώρων καταβαι̃νον τὸ πυ̃ρ καὶ ἡ δόξα κυρίου ἐπὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον καὶ ἔπεσον ἐπὶ πρόσωπον ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν ἐπὶ τὸ λιθόστρωτον καὶ προσεκύνησαν καὶ ἤ̨νουν τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ὅτι ἀγαθόν ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να τὸ ἔλεος αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ)

- Sed et omnes filii Israël videbant descendentem ignem, et gloriam Domini super domum : et corruentes proni in terram super pavimentum stratum lapide, adoraverunt, et laudaverunt Dominum, quoniam bonus, quoniam in sæculum misericordia ejus. (Ⅴ)

‫ 4 ׃7 והמלך וכל העם זבחים זבח לפני יהוה ס‬

- Le roi et tout le peuple offrirent des sacrifices devant l'Éternel. (Ⅱ)

- Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς θύοντες θύματα ἔναντι κυρίου (Ⅳ)

- Rex autem et omnis populus immolabant victimas coram Domino. (Ⅴ)

7. 5

‫ 5 ׃7 ויזבח המלך שלמה את זבח הבקר עשרים ושנים אלף וצאן מאה ועשרים אלף ויחנכו את בית האלהים המלך וכל העם ‬

- Le roi Salomon immola vingt-deux mille boeufs et cent vingt mille brebis. Ainsi le roi et tout le peuple firent la dédicace de la maison de Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐθυσίασεν Σαλωμων τὴν θυσίαν μόσχων εἴκοσι καὶ δύο χιλιάδας καὶ βοσκημάτων ἑκατὸν καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ ἐνεκαίνισεν τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ θεου̃ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ πα̃ς ὁ λαός (Ⅳ)

- Mactavit igitur rex Salomon hostias, boum viginti duo millia, arietum centum viginti millia : et dedicavit domum Dei rex, et universus populus. (Ⅴ)

7. 6

‫ 6 ׃7 והכהנים על משמרותם עמדים והלוים בכלי שיר יהוה אשר עשה דויד המלך להדות ליהוה כי לעולם חסדו בהלל דויד בידם והכהנים *מחצצרים **מחצרים נגדם וכל ישראל עמדים ס‬

- Les sacrificateurs se tenaient à leur poste, et les Lévites aussi avec les instruments faits en l'honneur de l'Éternel par le roi David pour le chant des louanges de l'Éternel, lorsque David les chargea de célébrer l'Éternel en disant: Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours! Les sacrificateurs sonnaient des trompettes vis-à-vis d'eux. Et tout Israël était là. (Ⅱ)

- And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ οἱ ἱερει̃ς ἐπὶ τὰς φυλακὰς αὐτω̃ν ἑστηκότες καὶ οἱ Λευι̃ται ἐν ὀργάνοις ὠ̨δω̃ν κυρίου του̃ Δαυιδ του̃ βασιλέως του̃ ἐξομολογει̃σθαι ἔναντι κυρίου ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να τὸ ἔλεος αὐτου̃ ἐν ὕμνοις Δαυιδ διὰ χειρὸς αὐτω̃ν καὶ οἱ ἱερει̃ς σαλπίζοντες ται̃ς σάλπιγξιν ἐναντίον αὐτω̃ν καὶ πα̃ς Ισραηλ ἑστηκώς (Ⅳ)

- Sacerdotes autem stabant in officiis suis, et Levitæ in organis carminum Domini, quæ fecit David rex ad laudandum Dominum : Quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus, hymnos David canentes per manus suas : porro sacerdotes canebant tubis ante eos, cunctusque Israël stabat. (Ⅴ)

7. 7

‫ 7 ׃7 ויקדש שלמה את תוך החצר אשר לפני בית יהוה כי עשה שם העלות ואת חלבי השלמים כי מזבח הנחשת אשר עשה שלמה לא יכול להכיל את העלה ואת המנחה ואת החלבים ‬

- Salomon consacra le milieu du parvis, qui est devant la maison de l'Éternel; car il offrit là les holocaustes et les graisses des sacrifices d'actions de grâces, parce que l'autel d'airain qu'avait fait Salomon ne pouvait contenir les holocaustes, les offrandes et les graisses. (Ⅱ)

- Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brazen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἡγίασεν Σαλωμων τὸ μέσον τη̃ς αὐλη̃ς τη̃ς ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου ὅτι ἐποίησεν ἐκει̃ τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ τὰ στέατα τω̃ν σωτηρίων ὅτι τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χαλκου̃ν ὃ ἐποίησεν Σαλωμων οὐκ ἐξεποίει δέξασθαι τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ τὰ μαναα καὶ τὰ στέατα (Ⅳ)

- Sanctificavit quoque Salomon medium atrii ante templum Domini : obtulerat enim ibi holocausta et adipes pacificorum : quia altare æneum quod fecerat, non poterat sustinere holocausta et sacrificia et adipes. (Ⅴ)

7. 8

‫ 8 ׃7 ויעש שלמה את החג בעת ההיא שבעת ימים וכל ישראל עמו קהל גדול מאד מלבוא חמת עד נחל מצרים ‬

- Salomon célébra la fête en ce temps-là pendant sept jours, et tout Israël avec lui; une grande multitude était venue depuis les environs de Hamath jusqu'au torrent d'Égypte. (Ⅱ)

- Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν Σαλωμων τὴν ἑορτὴν ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ ἑπτὰ ἡμέραις καὶ πα̃ς Ισραηλ μετ' αὐτου̃ ἐκκλησία μεγάλη σφόδρα ἀπὸ εἰσόδου Αιμαθ καὶ ἕως χειμάρρου Αἰγύπτου (Ⅳ)

- Fecit ergo Salomon solemnitatem in tempore illo septem diebus, et omnis Israël cum eo, ecclesia magna valde, ab introitu Emath usque ad torrentem Ægypti. (Ⅴ)

7. 9

‫ 9 ׃7 ויעשו ביום השמיני עצרת כי חנכת המזבח עשו שבעת ימים והחג שבעת ימים ‬

- Le huitième jour, ils eurent une assemblée solennelle; car ils firent la dédicace de l'autel pendant sept jours, et la fête pendant sept jours. (Ⅱ)

- And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ τη̨̃ ὀγδόη̨ ἐξόδιον ὅτι ἐγκαινισμὸν του̃ θυσιαστηρίου ἐποίησεν ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἑορτήν (Ⅳ)

- Fecitque die octavo collectam, eo quod dedicasset altare septem diebus, et solemnitatem celebrasset diebus septem. (Ⅴ)

7. 10

‫ 10 ׃7 וביום עשרים ושלשה לחדש השביעי שלח את העם לאהליהם שמחים וטובי לב על הטובה אשר עשה יהוה לדויד ולשלמה ולישראל עמו ‬

- Le vingt-troisième jour du septième mois, Salomon renvoya dans ses tentes le peuple joyeux et content pour le bien que l'Éternel avait fait à David, à Salomon, et à Israël, son peuple. (Ⅱ)

- And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had showed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐν τη̨̃ τρίτη̨ καὶ εἰκοστη̨̃ του̃ μηνὸς του̃ ἑβδόμου ἀπέστειλεν τὸν λαὸν εἰς τὰ σκηνώματα αὐτω̃ν εὐφραινομένους καὶ ἀγαθη̨̃ καρδία̨ ἐπὶ τοι̃ς ἀγαθοι̃ς οἱ̃ς ἐποίησεν κύριος τω̨̃ Δαυιδ καὶ τω̨̃ Σαλωμων καὶ τω̨̃ Ισραηλ λαω̨̃ αὐτου̃ (Ⅳ)

- Igitur in die vigesimo tertio mensis septimi, dimisit populos ad tabernacula sua, lætantes atque gaudentes super bono quod fecerat Dominus Davidi, et Salomoni, et Israëli populo suo. (Ⅴ)

7. 11

‫ 11 ׃7 ויכל שלמה את בית יהוה ואת בית המלך ואת כל הבא על לב שלמה לעשות בבית יהוה ובביתו הצליח פ‬

- Lorsque Salomon eut achevé la maison de l'Éternel et la maison du roi, et qu'il eut réussi dans tout ce qu'il s'était proposé de faire dans la maison de l'Éternel et dans la maison du roi, (Ⅱ)

- Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ συνετέλεσεν Σαλωμων τὸν οἰ̃κον κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃ βασιλέως καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἠθέλησεν ἐν τη̨̃ ψυχη̨̃ Σαλωμων του̃ ποιη̃σαι ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου καὶ ἐν οἴκω̨ αὐτου̃ εὐοδώθη (Ⅳ)

- Complevitque Salomon domum Domini, et domum regis, et omnia quæ disposuerat in corde suo ut faceret in domo Domini, et in domo sua, et prosperatus est.\ (Ⅴ)

7. 12

‫ 12 ׃7 וירא יהוה אל שלמה בלילה ויאמר לו שמעתי את תפלתך ובחרתי במקום הזה לי לבית זבח ‬

- l'Éternel apparut à Salomon pendant la nuit, et lui dit: J'exauce ta prière, et je choisis ce lieu comme la maison où l'on devra m'offrir des sacrifices. (Ⅱ)

- And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ὤφθη ὁ θεὸς τω̨̃ Σαλωμων τὴν νύκτα καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτω̨̃ ἤκουσα τη̃ς προσευχη̃ς σου καὶ ἐξελεξάμην ἐν τω̨̃ τόπω̨ τούτω̨ ἐμαυτω̨̃ εἰς οἰ̃κον θυσίας (Ⅳ)

- Apparuit autem ei Dominus nocte, et ait : Audivi orationem tuam, et elegi locum istum mihi in domum sacrificii. (Ⅴ)

7. 13

‫ 13 ׃7 הן אעצר השמים ולא יהיה מטר והן אצוה על חגב לאכול הארץ ואם אשלח דבר בעמי ‬

- Quand je fermerai le ciel et qu'il n'y aura point de pluie, quand j'ordonnerai aux sauterelles de consumer le pays, quand j'enverrai la peste parmi mon peuple; (Ⅱ)

- If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; (Ⅲ)

- ἐὰν συσχω̃ τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ μὴ γένηται ὑετός καὶ ἐὰν ἐντείλωμαι τη̨̃ ἀκρίδι καταφαγει̃ν τὸ ξύλον καὶ ἐὰν ἀποστείλω θάνατον ἐν τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ μου (Ⅳ)

- Si clausero cælum, et pluvia non fluxerit, et mandavero et præcepero locustæ ut devoret terram, et misero pestilentiam in populum meum : (Ⅴ)

7. 14

‫ 14 ׃7 ויכנעו עמי אשר נקרא שמי עליהם ויתפללו ויבקשו פני וישבו מדרכיהם הרעים ואני אשמע מן השמים ואסלח לחטאתם וארפא את ארצם ‬

- si mon peuple sur qui est invoqué mon nom s'humilie, prie, et cherche ma face, et s'il se détourne de ses mauvaises voies, -je l'exaucerai des cieux, je lui pardonnerai son péché, et je guérirai son pays. (Ⅱ)

- If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐὰν ἐντραπη̨̃ ὁ λαός μου ἐφ' οὓς τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐπικέκληται ἐπ' αὐτούς καὶ προσεύξωνται καὶ ζητήσωσιν τὸ πρόσωπόν μου καὶ ἀποστρέψωσιν ἀπὸ τω̃ν ὁδω̃ν αὐτω̃ν τω̃ν πονηρω̃ν καὶ ἐγὼ εἰσακούσομαι ἐκ του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ ἵλεως ἔσομαι ται̃ς ἁμαρτίαις αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἰάσομαι τὴν γη̃ν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅳ)

- conversus autem populus meus, super quos invocatum est nomen meum, deprecatus me fuerit, et exquisierit faciem meam, et egerit pœnitentiam a viis suis pessimis : et ego exaudiam de cælo, et propitius ero peccatis eorum, et sanabo terram eorum. (Ⅴ)

7. 15

‫ 15 ׃7 עתה עיני יהיו פתחות ואזני קשבות לתפלת המקום הזה ‬

- Mes yeux seront ouverts désormais, et mes oreilles seront attentives à la prière faite en ce lieu. (Ⅱ)

- Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. (Ⅲ)

- νυ̃ν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ἔσονται ἀνεω̨γμένοι καὶ τὰ ὠ̃τά μου ἐπήκοα τη̨̃ προσευχη̨̃ του̃ τόπου τούτου (Ⅳ)

- Oculi quoque mei erunt aperti, et aures meæ erectæ ad orationem ejus, qui in loco isto oraverit. (Ⅴ)

7. 16

‫ 16 ׃7 ועתה בחרתי והקדשתי את הבית הזה להיות שמי שם עד עולם והיו עיני ולבי שם כל הימים ‬

- Maintenant, je choisis et je sanctifie cette maison pour que mon nom y réside à jamais, et j'aurai toujours là mes yeux et mon coeur. (Ⅱ)

- For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ νυ̃ν ἐξελεξάμην καὶ ἡγίακα τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃τον του̃ εἰ̃ναι ὄνομά μου ἐκει̃ ἕως αἰω̃νος καὶ ἔσονται οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου καὶ ἡ καρδία μου ἐκει̃ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας (Ⅳ)

- Elegi enim, et sanctificavi locum istum, ut sit nomen meum ibi in sempiternum, et permaneant oculi mei et cor meum ibi cunctis diebus. (Ⅴ)

7. 17

‫ 17 ׃7 ואתה אם תלך לפני כאשר הלך דויד אביך ולעשות ככל אשר צויתיך וחקי ומשפטי תשמור ‬

- Et toi, si tu marches en ma présence comme a marché David, ton père, faisant tout ce que je t'ai commandé, et si tu observes mes lois et mes ordonnances, (Ⅱ)

- And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments; (Ⅲ)

- καὶ σὺ ἐὰν πορευθη̨̃ς ἐναντίον μου ὡς Δαυιδ ὁ πατήρ σου καὶ ποιήση̨ς κατὰ πάντα ἃ ἐνετειλάμην σοι καὶ τὰ προστάγματά μου καὶ τὰ κρίματά μου φυλάξη̨ (Ⅳ)

- Tu quoque si ambulaveris coram me, sicut ambulaverit David pater tuus, et feceris juxta omnia quæ præcepi tibi, et justitias meas judiciaque servaveris : (Ⅴ)

7. 18

‫ 18 ׃7 והקימותי את כסא מלכותך כאשר כרתי לדויד אביך לאמר לא יכרת לך איש מושל בישראל ‬

- j'affermirai le trône de ton royaume, comme je l'ai promis à David, ton père, en disant: Tu ne manqueras jamais d'un successeur qui règne en Israël. (Ⅱ)

- Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἀναστήσω τὸν θρόνον τη̃ς βασιλείας σου ὡς διεθέμην Δαυιδ τω̨̃ πατρί σου λέγων οὐκ ἐξαρθήσεταί σοι ἀνὴρ ἡγούμενος ἐν Ισραηλ (Ⅳ)

- suscitabo thronum regni tui, sicut pollicitus sum David patri tuo, dicens : Non auferetur de stirpe tua vir qui sit princeps in Israël. (Ⅴ)

7. 19

‫ 19 ׃7 ואם תשובון אתם ועזבתם חקותי ומצותי אשר נתתי לפניכם והלכתם ועבדתם אלהים אחרים והשתחויתם להם ‬

- Mais si vous vous détournez, si vous abandonnez mes lois et mes commandements que je vous ai prescrits, et si vous allez servir d'autres dieux et vous prosterner devant eux, (Ⅱ)

- But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐὰν ἀποστρέψητε ὑμει̃ς καὶ ἐγκαταλίπητε τὰ προστάγματά μου καὶ τὰς ἐντολάς μου ἃς ἔδωκα ἐναντίον ὑμω̃ν καὶ πορευθη̃τε καὶ λατρεύσητε θεοι̃ς ἑτέροις καὶ προσκυνήσητε αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅳ)

- Si autem aversi fueritis, et dereliqueritis justitias meas, et præcepta mea quæ proposui vobis, et abeuntes servieritis diis alienis, et adoraveritis eos, (Ⅴ)

7. 20

‫ 20 ׃7 ונתשתים מעל אדמתי אשר נתתי להם ואת הבית הזה אשר הקדשתי לשמי אשליך מעל פני ואתננו למשל ולשנינה בכל העמים ‬

- je vous arracherai de mon pays que je vous ai donné, je rejetterai loin de moi cette maison que j'ai consacrée à mon nom, et j'en ferai un sujet de sarcasme et de raillerie parmi tous les peuples. (Ⅱ)

- Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐξαρω̃ ὑμα̃ς ἀπὸ τη̃ς γη̃ς ἡ̃ς ἔδωκα αὐτοι̃ς καὶ τὸν οἰ̃κον του̃τον ὃν ἡγίασα τω̨̃ ὀνόματί μου ἀποστρέψω ἐκ προσώπου μου καὶ δώσω αὐτὸν εἰς παραβολὴν καὶ εἰς διήγημα ἐν πα̃σιν τοι̃ς ἔθνεσιν (Ⅳ)

- evellam vos de terra mea quam dedi vobis : et domum hanc, quam sanctificavi nomini meo, projiciam a facie mea, et tradam eam in parabolam, et in exemplum cunctis populis. (Ⅴ)

7. 21

‫ 21 ׃7 והבית הזה אשר היה עליון לכל עבר עליו ישם ואמר במה עשה יהוה ככה לארץ הזאת ולבית הזה ‬

- Et si haut placée qu'ait été cette maison, quiconque passera près d'elle sera dans l'étonnement, et dira: Pourquoi l'Éternel a-t-il ainsi traité ce pays et cette maison? (Ⅱ)

- And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house? (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ὁ οἰ̃κος οὑ̃τος ὁ ὑψηλός πα̃ς ὁ διαπορευόμενος αὐτὸν ἐκστήσεται καὶ ἐρει̃ χάριν τίνος ἐποίησεν κύριος τη̨̃ γη̨̃ ταύτη̨ καὶ τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ τούτω̨ (Ⅳ)

- Et domus ista erit in proverbium universis transeuntibus, et dicent stupentes : Quare fecit Dominus sic terræ huic, et domui huic ? (Ⅴ)

7. 22

‫ 22 ׃7 ואמרו על אשר עזבו את יהוה אלהי אבתיהם אשר הוציאם מארץ מצרים ויחזיקו באלהים אחרים וישתחוו להם ויעבדום על כן הביא עליהם את כל הרעה הזאת פ‬

- Et l'on répondra: Parce qu'ils ont abandonné l'Éternel, le Dieu de leurs pères, qui les a fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, parce qu'ils se sont attachés à d'autres dieux, se sont prosternés devant eux et les ont servis; voilà pourquoi il a fait venir sur eux tous ces maux. (Ⅱ)

- And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them. (Ⅲ)

- καὶ ἐρου̃σιν διότι ἐγκατέλιπον κύριον τὸν θεὸν τω̃ν πατέρων αὐτω̃ν τὸν ἐξαγαγόντα αὐτοὺς ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἀντελάβοντο θεω̃ν ἑτέρων καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτοι̃ς καὶ ἐδούλευσαν αὐτοι̃ς διὰ του̃το ἐπήγαγεν ἐπ' αὐτοὺς πα̃σαν τὴν κακίαν ταύτην (Ⅳ)

- Respondebuntque : Quia dereliquerunt Dominum Deum patrum suorum, qui eduxit eos de terra Ægypti, et apprehenderunt deos alienos, et adoraverunt eos, et coluerunt : idcirco venerunt super eos universa hæc mala. (Ⅴ)
