4. 1  
Ἰησοῦς δὲ ⸂πλήρης πνεύματος ἁγίου⸃ ὑπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἰορδάνου, καὶ ἤγετο ἐν τῷ πνεύματι ⸂ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ⸃
- Jésus, rempli du Saint Esprit, revint du Jourdain, et il fut conduit par l'Esprit dans le désert, (Ⅱ)
- And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (Ⅲ)
- Jesus autem plenus Spiritu Sancto regressus est a Jordane : et agebatur a Spiritu in desertum (Ⅳ)
4. 2  
ἡμέρας τεσσεράκοντα πειραζόμενος ὑπὸ τοῦ διαβόλου. καὶ οὐκ ἔφαγεν οὐδὲν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις, καὶ συντελεσθεισῶν ⸀αὐτῶν ἐπείνασεν.
- où il fut tenté par le diable pendant quarante jours. Il ne mangea rien durant ces jours-là, et, après qu'ils furent écoulés, il eut faim. (Ⅱ)
- Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. (Ⅲ)
- diebus quadraginta, et tentabatur a diabolo. Et nihil manducavit in diebus illis : et consummatis illis esuriit. (Ⅳ)

⸂εἶπεν δὲ⸃ αὐτῷ ὁ διάβολος· Εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ θεοῦ, εἰπὲ τῷ λίθῳ τούτῳ ἵνα γένηται ἄρτος.
- Le diable lui dit: Si tu es Fils de Dieu, ordonne à cette pierre qu'elle devienne du pain. (Ⅱ)
- And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. (Ⅲ)
- Dixit autem illi diabolus : Si Filius Dei es, dic lapidi huic ut panis fiat. (Ⅳ)
4. 4  
καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ⸂πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ Ἰησοῦς⸃· Γέγραπται ὅτι Οὐκ ἐπ’ ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ⸀ὁ ⸀ἄνθρωπος.
- Jésus lui répondit: Il est écrit: L'Homme ne vivra pas de pain seulement. (Ⅱ)
- And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. (Ⅲ)
- Et respondit ad illum Jesus : Scriptum est : Quia non in solo pane vivit homo, sed in omni verbo Dei. (Ⅳ)
4. 5  
Καὶ ἀναγαγὼν ⸀αὐτὸν ἔδειξεν αὐτῷ πάσας τὰς βασιλείας τῆς οἰκουμένης ἐν στιγμῇ χρόνου·
- Le diable, l'ayant élevé, lui montra en un instant tous les royaumes de la terre, (Ⅱ)
- And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. (Ⅲ)
- Et duxit illum diabolus in montem excelsum, et ostendit illi omnia regna orbis terræ in momento temporis, (Ⅳ)
4. 6  
καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ διάβολος· Σοὶ δώσω τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην ἅπασαν καὶ τὴν δόξαν αὐτῶν, ὅτι ἐμοὶ παραδέδοται καὶ ᾧ ⸀ἂν θέλω δίδωμι αὐτήν·
- et lui dit: Je te donnerai toute cette puissance, et la gloire de ces royaumes; car elle m'a été donnée, et je la donne à qui je veux. (Ⅱ)
- And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. (Ⅲ)
- et ait illi : Tibi dabo potestatem hanc universam, et gloriam illorum : quia mihi tradita sunt, et cui volo do illa. (Ⅳ)
4. 7  
σὺ οὖν ἐὰν προσκυνήσῃς ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ, ἔσται σοῦ πᾶσα.
- Si donc tu te prosternes devant moi, elle sera toute à toi. (Ⅱ)
- If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. (Ⅲ)
- Tu ergo si adoraveris coram me, erunt tua omnia. (Ⅳ)
4. 8  
καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ⸂ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτῷ⸃· Γέγραπται· ⸂Κύριον τὸν θεόν σου προσκυνήσεις⸃ καὶ αὐτῷ μόνῳ λατρεύσεις.
- Jésus lui répondit: Il est écrit: Tu adoreras le Seigneur, ton Dieu, et tu le serviras lui seul. (Ⅱ)
- And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (Ⅲ)
- Et respondens Jesus, dixit illi : Scriptum est : Dominum Deum tuum adorabis, et illi soli servies. (Ⅳ)
4. 9  
⸂Ἤγαγεν δὲ⸃ αὐτὸν εἰς Ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ ⸀ἔστησεν ἐπὶ τὸ πτερύγιον τοῦ ἱεροῦ, καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ θεοῦ, βάλε σεαυτὸν ἐντεῦθεν κάτω·
- Le diable le conduisit encore à Jérusalem, le plaça sur le haut du temple, et lui dit: Si tu es Fils de Dieu, jette-toi d'ici en bas; car il est écrit: (Ⅱ)
- And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: (Ⅲ)
- Et duxit illum in Jerusalem, et statuit eum super pinnam templi, et dixit illi : Si Filius Dei es, mitte te hinc deorsum. (Ⅳ)
4. 10  
γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι Τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ τοῦ διαφυλάξαι σε,
- Il donnera des ordres à ses anges à ton sujet, Afin qu'ils te gardent; (Ⅱ)
- For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: (Ⅲ)
- Scriptum est enim quod angelis suis mandavit de te, ut conservent te : (Ⅳ)
4. 11  
καὶ ⸀ὅτι Ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἀροῦσίν σε μήποτε προσκόψῃς πρὸς λίθον τὸν πόδα σου.
- et: Ils te porteront sur les mains, De peur que ton pied ne heurte contre une pierre. (Ⅱ)
- And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. (Ⅲ)
- et quia in manibus tollent te, ne forte offendas ad lapidem pedem tuum. (Ⅳ)
4. 12  
καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι Εἴρηται· Οὐκ ἐκπειράσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου.
- Jésus lui répondit: Il es dit: Tu ne tenteras point le Seigneur, ton Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. (Ⅲ)
- Et respondens Jesus, ait illi : Dictum est : Non tentabis Dominum Deum tuum. (Ⅳ)
4. 13  
καὶ συντελέσας πάντα πειρασμὸν ὁ διάβολος ἀπέστη ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἄχρι καιροῦ.
- Après l'avoir tenté de toutes ces manières, le diable s'éloigna de lui jusqu'à un moment favorable. (Ⅱ)
- And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. (Ⅲ)
- Et consummata omni tentatione, diabolus recessit ab illo, usque ad tempus.\ (Ⅳ)
4. 14  
Καὶ ὑπέστρεψεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐν τῇ δυνάμει τοῦ πνεύματος εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν. καὶ φήμη ἐξῆλθεν καθ’ ὅλης τῆς περιχώρου περὶ αὐτοῦ.
- Jésus, revêtu de la puissance de l'Esprit, retourna en Galilée, et sa renommée se répandit dans tout le pays d'alentour. (Ⅱ)
- And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. (Ⅲ)
- Et regressus est Jesus in virtute Spiritus in Galilæam, et fama exiit per universam regionem de illo. (Ⅳ)
4. 15  
καὶ αὐτὸς ἐδίδασκεν ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς αὐτῶν, δοξαζόμενος ὑπὸ πάντων.
- Il enseignait dans les synagogues, et il était glorifié par tous. (Ⅱ)
- And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. (Ⅲ)
- Et ipse docebat in synagogis eorum, et magnificabatur ab omnibus. (Ⅳ)
4. 16  
Καὶ ἦλθεν ⸀εἰς Ναζαρά, οὗ ἦν τεθραμμένος, καὶ εἰσῆλθεν κατὰ τὸ εἰωθὸς αὐτῷ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῶν σαββάτων εἰς τὴν συναγωγήν, καὶ ἀνέστη ἀναγνῶναι.
- Il se rendit à Nazareth, où il avait été élevé, et, selon sa coutume, il entra dans la synagogue le jour du sabbat. Il se leva pour faire la lecture, (Ⅱ)
- And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. (Ⅲ)
- Et venit Nazareth, ubi erat nutritus, et intravit secundum consuetudinem suam die sabbati in synagogam, et surrexit legere. (Ⅳ)
4. 17  
καὶ ἐπεδόθη αὐτῷ βιβλίον ⸂τοῦ προφήτου Ἠσαΐου⸃ καὶ ⸀ἀναπτύξας τὸ βιβλίον εὗρεν τὸν τόπον οὗ ἦν γεγραμμένον·
- et on lui remit le livre du prophète Ésaïe. L'ayant déroulé, il trouva l'endroit où il était écrit: (Ⅱ)
- And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, (Ⅲ)
- Et traditus est illi liber Isaiæ prophetæ. Et ut revolvit librum, invenit locum ubi scriptum erat : (Ⅳ)
4. 18  
Πνεῦμα κυρίου ἐπ’ ἐμέ, οὗ εἵνεκεν ἔχρισέν με εὐαγγελίσασθαι πτωχοῖς, ἀπέσταλκέν ⸀με κηρύξαι αἰχμαλώτοις ἄφεσιν καὶ τυφλοῖς ἀνάβλεψιν, ἀποστεῖλαι τεθραυσμένους ἐν ἀφέσει,
- L'Esprit du Seigneur est sur moi, Parce qu'il m'a oint pour annoncer une bonne nouvelle aux pauvres; Il m'a envoyé pour guérir ceux qui ont le coeur brisé, (Ⅱ)
- The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (Ⅲ)
- Spiritus Domini super me : propter quod unxit me, evangelizare pauperibus misit me, sanare contritos corde, (Ⅳ)
4. 19  
κηρύξαι ἐνιαυτὸν κυρίου δεκτόν.
- Pour proclamer aux captifs la délivrance, Et aux aveugles le recouvrement de la vue, Pour renvoyer libres les opprimés, Pour publier une année de grâce du Seigneur. (Ⅱ)
- To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Ⅲ)
- prædicare captivis remissionem, et cæcis visum, dimittere confractos in remissionem, prædicare annum Domini acceptum et diem retributionis. (Ⅳ)
4. 20  
καὶ πτύξας τὸ βιβλίον ἀποδοὺς τῷ ὑπηρέτῃ ἐκάθισεν· καὶ πάντων ⸂οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ⸃ ἦσαν ἀτενίζοντες αὐτῷ.
- Ensuite, il roula le livre, le remit au serviteur, et s'assit. Tous ceux qui se trouvaient dans la synagogue avaient les regards fixés sur lui. (Ⅱ)
- And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. (Ⅲ)
- Et cum plicuisset librum, reddit ministro, et sedit. Et omnium in synagoga oculi erant intendentes in eum. (Ⅳ)
4. 21  
ἤρξατο δὲ λέγειν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὅτι Σήμερον πεπλήρωται ἡ γραφὴ αὕτη ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν ὑμῶν.
- Alors il commença à leur dire: Aujourd'hui cette parole de l'Écriture, que vous venez d'entendre, est accomplie. (Ⅱ)
- And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. (Ⅲ)
- Cœpit autem dicere ad illos : Quia hodie impleta est hæc scriptura in auribus vestris. (Ⅳ)
4. 22  
καὶ πάντες ἐμαρτύρουν αὐτῷ καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ἐπὶ τοῖς λόγοις τῆς χάριτος τοῖς ἐκπορευομένοις ἐκ τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔλεγον· ⸂Οὐχὶ υἱός ἐστιν Ἰωσὴφ οὗτος⸃;
- Et tous lui rendaient témoignage; ils étaient étonnés des paroles de grâce qui sortaient de sa bouche, et ils disaient: N'est-ce pas le fils de Joseph? (Ⅱ)
- And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? (Ⅲ)
- Et omnes testimonium illi dabant : et mirabantur in verbis gratiæ, quæ procedebant de ore ipsius, et dicebant : Nonne hic est filius Joseph ? (Ⅳ)
4. 23  
καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς· Πάντως ἐρεῖτέ μοι τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην· Ἰατρέ, θεράπευσον σεαυτόν· ὅσα ἠκούσαμεν γενόμενα ⸂εἰς τὴν Καφαρναοὺμ⸃ ποίησον καὶ ὧδε ἐν τῇ πατρίδι σου.
- Jésus leur dit: Sans doute vous m'appliquerez ce proverbe: Médecin, guéris-toi toi-même; et vous me direz: Fais ici, dans ta patrie, tout ce que nous avons appris que tu as fait à Capernaüm. (Ⅱ)
- And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. (Ⅲ)
- Et ait illis : Utique dicetis mihi hanc similitudinem : Medice cura teipsum : quanta audivimus facta in Capharnaum, fac et hic in patria tua. (Ⅳ)
4. 24  
εἶπεν δέ· Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐδεὶς προφήτης δεκτός ἐστιν ἐν τῇ πατρίδι αὐτοῦ.
- Mais, ajouta-t-il, je vous le dis en vérité, aucun prophète n'est bien reçu dans sa patrie. (Ⅱ)
- And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. (Ⅲ)
- Ait autem : Amen dico vobis, quia nemo propheta acceptus est in patria sua. (Ⅳ)
4. 25  
ἐπ’ ἀληθείας δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν, πολλαὶ χῆραι ἦσαν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Ἠλίου ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ, ὅτε ἐκλείσθη ὁ οὐρανὸς ⸀ἐπὶ ἔτη τρία καὶ μῆνας ἕξ, ὡς ἐγένετο λιμὸς μέγας ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν,
- Je vous le dis en vérité: il y avait plusieurs veuves en Israël du temps d'Élie, lorsque le ciel fut fermé trois ans et six mois et qu'il y eut une grande famine sur toute la terre; (Ⅱ)
- But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; (Ⅲ)
- In veritate dico vobis, multæ viduæ erant in diebus Eliæ in Israël, quando clausum est cælum annis tribus et mensibus sex, cum facta esset fames magna in omni terra : (Ⅳ)
4. 26  
καὶ πρὸς οὐδεμίαν αὐτῶν ἐπέμφθη Ἠλίας εἰ μὴ εἰς Σάρεπτα τῆς ⸀Σιδωνίας πρὸς γυναῖκα χήραν.
- et cependant Élie ne fut envoyé vers aucune d'elles, si ce n'est vers une femme veuve, à Sarepta, dans le pays de Sidon. (Ⅱ)
- But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. (Ⅲ)
- et ad nullam illarum missus est Elias, nisi in Sarepta Sidoniæ, ad mulierem viduam. (Ⅳ)
4. 27  
καὶ πολλοὶ λεπροὶ ἦσαν ⸂ἐν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ ἐπὶ Ἐλισαίου τοῦ προφήτου⸃, καὶ οὐδεὶς αὐτῶν ἐκαθαρίσθη, εἰ μὴ Ναιμὰν ὁ Σύρος.
- Il y avait aussi plusieurs lépreux en Israël du temps d'Élisée, le prophète; et cependant aucun d'eux ne fut purifié, si ce n'est Naaman le Syrien. (Ⅱ)
- And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. (Ⅲ)
- Et multi leprosi erant in Israël sub Eliseo propheta : et nemo eorum mundatus est nisi Naaman Syrus. (Ⅳ)
4. 28  
καὶ ἐπλήσθησαν πάντες θυμοῦ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ ἀκούοντες ταῦτα,
- Ils furent tous remplis de colère dans la synagogue, lorsqu'ils entendirent ces choses. (Ⅱ)
- And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, (Ⅲ)
- Et repleti sunt omnes in synagoga ira, hæc audientes. (Ⅳ)
4. 29  
καὶ ἀναστάντες ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν ἔξω τῆς πόλεως, καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν ἕως ὀφρύος τοῦ ὄρους ἐφ’ οὗ ἡ πόλις ⸂ᾠκοδόμητο αὐτῶν, ὥστε⸃ κατακρημνίσαι αὐτόν·
- Et s'étant levés, ils le chassèrent de la ville, et le menèrent jusqu'au sommet de la montagne sur laquelle leur ville était bâtie, afin de le précipiter en bas. (Ⅱ)
- And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. (Ⅲ)
- Et surrexerunt, et ejecerunt illum extra civitatem : et duxerunt illum usque ad supercilium montis, super quem civitas illorum erat ædificata, ut præcipitarent eum. (Ⅳ)
4. 30  
αὐτὸς δὲ διελθὼν διὰ μέσου αὐτῶν ἐπορεύετο.
- Mais Jésus, passant au milieu d'eux, s'en alla. (Ⅱ)
- But he passing through the midst of them went his way, (Ⅲ)
- Ipse autem transiens per medium illorum, ibat.\ (Ⅳ)
4. 31  
Καὶ κατῆλθεν εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ πόλιν τῆς Γαλιλαίας. καὶ ἦν διδάσκων αὐτοὺς ἐν τοῖς σάββασιν·
- Il descendit à Capernaüm, ville de la Galilée; et il enseignait, le jour du sabbat. (Ⅱ)
- And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. (Ⅲ)
- Et descendit in Capharnaum civitatem Galilææ, ibique docebat illos sabbatis. (Ⅳ)
4. 32  
καὶ ἐξεπλήσσοντο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἐν ἐξουσίᾳ ἦν ὁ λόγος αὐτοῦ.
- On était frappé de sa doctrine; car il parlait avec autorité. (Ⅱ)
- And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. (Ⅲ)
- Et stupebant in doctrina ejus, quia in potestate erat sermo ipsius. (Ⅳ)
4. 33  
καὶ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ ἦν ἄνθρωπος ἔχων πνεῦμα δαιμονίου ἀκαθάρτου, καὶ ἀνέκραξεν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ·
- Il se trouva dans la synagogue un homme qui avait un esprit de démon impur, et qui s'écria d'une voix forte: (Ⅱ)
- And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, (Ⅲ)
- Et in synagoga erat homo habens dæmonium immundum, et exclamavit voce magna, (Ⅳ)
4. 34  
⸀Ἔα, τί ἡμῖν καὶ σοί, Ἰησοῦ Ναζαρηνέ; ἦλθες ἀπολέσαι ἡμᾶς; οἶδά σε τίς εἶ, ὁ ἅγιος τοῦ θεοῦ.
- Ah! qu'y a-t-il entre nous et toi, Jésus de Nazareth? Tu es venu pour nous perdre. Je sais qui tu es: le Saint de Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. (Ⅲ)
- dicens : Sine, quid nobis et tibi, Jesu Nazarene ? venisti perdere nos ? scio te quis sis, Sanctus Dei. (Ⅳ)
4. 35  
καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων· Φιμώθητι καὶ ἔξελθε ⸀ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ. καὶ ῥίψαν αὐτὸν τὸ δαιμόνιον εἰς ⸀τὸ μέσον ἐξῆλθεν ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ μηδὲν βλάψαν αὐτόν.
- Jésus le menaça, disant: Tais-toi, et sors de cet homme. Et le démon le jeta au milieu de l'assemblée, et sortit de lui, sans lui faire aucun mal. (Ⅱ)
- And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. (Ⅲ)
- Et increpavit illum Jesus, dicens : Obmutesce, et exi ab eo. Et cum projecisset illum dæmonium in medium, exiit ab illo, nihilque illum nocuit. (Ⅳ)
4. 36  
καὶ ἐγένετο θάμβος ἐπὶ πάντας, καὶ συνελάλουν πρὸς ἀλλήλους λέγοντες· Τίς ὁ λόγος οὗτος ὅτι ἐν ἐξουσίᾳ καὶ δυνάμει ἐπιτάσσει τοῖς ἀκαθάρτοις πνεύμασιν, καὶ ἐξέρχονται;
- Tous furent saisis de stupeur, et ils se disaient les uns aux autres: Quelle est cette parole? il commande avec autorité et puissance aux esprits impurs, et ils sortent! (Ⅱ)
- And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. (Ⅲ)
- Et factus est pavor in omnibus, et colloquebantur ad invicem, dicentes : Quod est hoc verbum, quia in potestate et virtute imperat immundis spiritibus, et exeunt ? (Ⅳ)

καὶ ἐξεπορεύετο ἦχος περὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς πάντα τόπον τῆς περιχώρου.
- Et sa renommée se répandit dans tous les lieux d'alentour. (Ⅱ)
- And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about. (Ⅲ)
- Et divulgabatur fama de illo in omnem locum regionis.\ (Ⅳ)
4. 38  
Ἀναστὰς δὲ ⸀ἀπὸ τῆς συναγωγῆς εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν Σίμωνος. πενθερὰ δὲ τοῦ Σίμωνος ἦν συνεχομένη πυρετῷ μεγάλῳ, καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν περὶ αὐτῆς.
- En sortant de la synagogue, il se rendit à la maison de Simon. La belle-mère de Simon avait une violente fièvre, et ils le prièrent en sa faveur. (Ⅱ)
- And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. (Ⅲ)
- Surgens autem Jesus de synagoga, introivit in domum Simonis. Socrus autem Simonis tenebatur magnis febribus : et rogaverunt illum pro ea. (Ⅳ)
4. 39  
καὶ ἐπιστὰς ἐπάνω αὐτῆς ἐπετίμησεν τῷ πυρετῷ, καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτήν· παραχρῆμα δὲ ἀναστᾶσα διηκόνει αὐτοῖς.
- S'étant penché sur elle, il menaça la fièvre, et la fièvre la quitta. A l'instant elle se leva, et les servit. (Ⅱ)
- And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them. (Ⅲ)
- Et stans super illam imperavit febri : et dimisit illam. Et continuo surgens, ministrabat illis. (Ⅳ)
4. 40  
Δύνοντος δὲ τοῦ ἡλίου ⸀ἅπαντες ὅσοι εἶχον ἀσθενοῦντας νόσοις ποικίλαις ἤγαγον αὐτοὺς πρὸς αὐτόν· ὁ δὲ ἑνὶ ἑκάστῳ αὐτῶν τὰς χεῖρας ⸂ἐπιτιθεὶς ἐθεράπευεν⸃ αὐτούς.
- Après le couché du soleil, tous ceux qui avaient des malades atteints de diverses maladies les lui amenèrent. Il imposa les mains à chacun d'eux, et il les guérit. (Ⅱ)
- Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. (Ⅲ)
- Cum autem sol occidisset, omnes qui habebant infirmos variis languoribus, ducebant illos ad eum. At ille singulis manus imponens, curabat eos. (Ⅳ)
4. 41  
ἐξήρχετο δὲ καὶ δαιμόνια ἀπὸ πολλῶν ⸀κραυγάζοντα καὶ λέγοντα ὅτι Σὺ ⸀εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ. καὶ ἐπιτιμῶν οὐκ εἴα αὐτὰ λαλεῖν, ὅτι ᾔδεισαν τὸν χριστὸν αὐτὸν εἶναι.
- Des démons aussi sortirent de beaucoup de personnes, en criant et en disant: Tu es le Fils de Dieu. Mais il les menaçait et ne leur permettait pas de parler, parce qu'ils savaient qu'il était le Christ. (Ⅱ)
- And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. (Ⅲ)
- Exibant autem dæmonia a multis clamantia, et dicentia : Quia tu es Filius Dei : et increpans non sinebat ea loqui : quia sciebant ipsum esse Christum.\ (Ⅳ)
4. 42  
Γενομένης δὲ ἡμέρας ἐξελθὼν ἐπορεύθη εἰς ἔρημον τόπον· καὶ οἱ ὄχλοι ἐπεζήτουν αὐτόν, καὶ ἦλθον ἕως αὐτοῦ, καὶ κατεῖχον αὐτὸν τοῦ μὴ πορεύεσθαι ἀπ’ αὐτῶν.
- Dès que le jour parut, il sortit et alla dans un lieu désert. Une foule de gens se mirent à sa recherche, et arrivèrent jusqu'à lui; ils voulaient le retenir, afin qu'il ne les quittât point. (Ⅱ)
- And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them. (Ⅲ)
- Facta autem die egressus ibat in desertum locum, et turbæ requirebant eum, et venerunt usque ad ipsum : et detinebant illum ne discederet ab eis. (Ⅳ)
4. 43  
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὅτι Καὶ ταῖς ἑτέραις πόλεσιν εὐαγγελίσασθαί με δεῖ τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ, ὅτι ⸀ἐπὶ τοῦτο ⸀ἀπεστάλην.
- Mais il leur dit: Il faut aussi que j'annonce aux autres villes la bonne nouvelle du royaume de Dieu; car c'est pour cela que j'ai été envoyé. (Ⅱ)
- And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent. (Ⅲ)
- Quibus ille ait : Quia et aliis civitatibus oportet me evangelizare regnum Dei : quia ideo missus sum. (Ⅳ)
4. 44  
καὶ ἦν κηρύσσων ⸂εἰς τὰς συναγωγὰς⸃ τῆς ⸀Ἰουδαίας.
- Et il prêchait dans les synagogues de la Galilée. (Ⅱ)
- And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee. (Ⅲ)
- Et erat prædicans in synagogis Galilææ. (Ⅳ)
