3. 1

καὶ ὤρθρισεν 'Ιησου̃ς τὸ πρωί καὶ ἀπη̃ραν ἐκ Σαττιν καὶ ἤλθοσαν ἕως του̃ Ιορδάνου καὶ κατέλυσαν ἐκει̃ πρὸ του̃ διαβη̃ναι

- Josué, s'étant levé de bon matin, partit de Sittim avec tous les enfants d'Israël. Ils arrivèrent au Jourdain; et là, ils passèrent la nuit, avant de le traverser. (Ⅱ)

- And Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over. (Ⅲ)

- Igitur Josue de nocte consurgens movit castra : egredientesque de Setim, venerunt ad Jordanem ipse et omnes filii Israël, et morati sunt ibi tres dies. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 1 ׃3 וישכם יהושע בבקר ויסעו מהשטים ויבאו עד הירדן הוא וכל בני ישראל וילנו שם טרם יעברו ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 2

καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τρει̃ς ἡμέρας διη̃λθον οἱ γραμματει̃ς διὰ τη̃ς παρεμβολη̃ς

- Au bout de trois jours, les officiers parcoururent le camp, (Ⅱ)

- And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host; (Ⅲ)

- Quibus evolutis transierunt præcones per castrorum medium, (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 2 ׃3 ויהי מקצה שלשת ימים ויעברו השטרים בקרב המחנה ‬ (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἐνετείλαντο τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ λέγοντες ὅταν ἴδητε τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν καὶ τοὺς ἱερει̃ς ἡμω̃ν καὶ τοὺς Λευίτας αἴροντας αὐτήν ἀπαρει̃τε ἀπὸ τω̃ν τόπων ὑμω̃ν καὶ πορεύεσθε ὀπίσω αὐτη̃ς

- et donnèrent cet ordre au peuple: Lorsque vous verrez l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, portée par les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, vous partirez du lieu où vous êtes, et vous vous mettrez en marche après elle. (Ⅱ)

- And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it. (Ⅲ)

- et clamare cœperunt : Quando videritis arcam fœderis Domini Dei vestri, et sacerdotes stirpis Leviticæ portantes eam, vos quoque consurgite, et sequimini præcedentes : (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 3 ׃3 ויצוו את העם לאמר כראותכם את ארון ברית יהוה אלהיכם והכהנים הלוים נשאים אתו ואתם תסעו ממקומכם והלכתם אחריו ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 4

ἀλλὰ μακρὰν ἔστω ἀνὰ μέσον ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἐκείνης ὅσον δισχιλίους πήχεις στήσεσθε μὴ προσεγγίσητε αὐτη̨̃ ἵν' ἐπίστησθε τὴν ὁδόν ἣν πορεύεσθε αὐτήν οὐ γὰρ πεπόρευσθε τὴν ὁδὸν ἀπ' ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτης ἡμέρας

- Mais il y aura entre vous et elle une distance d'environ deux mille coudées: n'en approchez pas. Elle vous montrera le chemin que vous devez suivre, car vous n'avez point encore passé par ce chemin. (Ⅱ)

- Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore. (Ⅲ)

- sitque inter vos et arcam spatium cubitorum duum millium : ut procul videre possitis, et nosse per quam viam ingrediamini : quia prius non ambulastis per eam : et cavete ne appropinquetis ad arcam. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 4 ׃3 אך רחוק יהיה ביניכם *ובינו **וביניו כאלפים אמה במדה אל תקרבו אליו למען אשר תדעו את הדרך אשר תלכו בה כי לא עברתם בדרך מתמול שלשום ס‬ (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πεν 'Ιησου̃ς τω̨̃ λαω̨̃ ἁγνίσασθε εἰς αὔριον ὅτι αὔριον ποιήσει ἐν ὑμι̃ν κύριος θαυμαστά

- Josué dit au peuple: Sanctifiez-vous, car demain l'Éternel fera des prodiges au milieu de vous. (Ⅱ)

- And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you. (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Josue ad populum : Sanctificamini : cras enim faciet Dominus inter vos mirabilia. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 5 ׃3 ויאמר יהושע אל העם התקדשו כי מחר יעשה יהוה בקרבכם נפלאות ‬ (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πεν 'Ιησου̃ς τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σιν ἄρατε τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ προπορεύεσθε του̃ λαου̃ καὶ ἠ̃ραν οἱ ἱερει̃ς τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ ἐπορεύοντο ἔμπροσθεν του̃ λαου̃

- Et Josué dit aux sacrificateurs: Portez l'arche de l'alliance, et passez devant le peuple. Ils portèrent l'arche de l'alliance, et ils marchèrent devant le peuple. (Ⅱ)

- And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people. (Ⅲ)

- Et ait ad sacerdotes : Tollite arcam fœderis, et præcedite populum. Qui jussa complentes, tulerunt, et ambulaverunt ante eos. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 6 ׃3 ויאמר יהושע אל הכהנים לאמר שאו את ארון הברית ועברו לפני העם וישאו את ארון הברית וילכו לפני העם ס‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 7

καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρὸς 'Ιησου̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ταύτη̨ ἄρχομαι ὑψω̃σαί σε κατενώπιον πάντων υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ ἵνα γνω̃σιν καθότι ἤμην μετὰ Μωυση̃ οὕτως ἔσομαι καὶ μετὰ σου̃

- L'Éternel dit à Josué: Aujourd'hui, je commencerai à t'élever aux yeux de tout Israël, afin qu'ils sachent que je serai avec toi comme j'ai été avec Moïse. (Ⅱ)

- And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Dominus ad Josue : Hodie incipiam exaltare te coram omni Israël : ut sciant quod sicut cum Moyse fui, ita et tecum sim. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 7 ׃3 ויאמר יהוה אל יהושע היום הזה אחל גדלך בעיני כל ישראל אשר ידעון כי כאשר הייתי עם משה אהיה עמך ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 8

καὶ νυ̃ν ἔντειλαι τοι̃ς ἱερευ̃σιν τοι̃ς αἴρουσιν τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης λέγων ὡς ἂν εἰσέλθητε ἐπὶ μέρους του̃ ὕδατος του̃ Ιορδάνου καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ Ιορδάνη̨ στήσεσθε

- Tu donneras cet ordre aux sacrificateurs qui portent l'arche de l'alliance: Lorsque vous arriverez au bord des eaux du Jourdain, vous vous arrêterez dans le Jourdain. (Ⅱ)

- And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan. (Ⅲ)

- Tu autem præcipe sacerdotibus, qui portant arcam fœderis, et dic eis : Cum ingressi fueritis partem aquæ Jordanis, state in ea. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 8 ׃3 ואתה תצוה את הכהנים נשאי ארון הברית לאמר כבאכם עד קצה מי הירדן בירדן תעמדו פ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 9

καὶ εἰ̃πεν 'Ιησου̃ς τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ προσαγάγετε ὡ̃δε καὶ ἀκούσατε τὸ ῥη̃μα κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ἡμω̃ν

- Josué dit aux enfants d'Israël: Approchez, et écoutez les paroles de l'Éternel, votre Dieu. (Ⅱ)

- And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God. (Ⅲ)

- Dixitque Josue ad filios Israël : Accedite huc, et audite verbum Domini Dei vestri. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 9 ׃3 ויאמר יהושע אל בני ישראל גשו הנה ושמעו את דברי יהוה אלהיכם ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 10

ἐν τούτω̨ γνώσεσθε ὅτι θεὸς ζω̃ν ἐν ὑμι̃ν καὶ ὀλεθρεύων ὀλεθρεύσει ἀπὸ προσώπου ἡμω̃ν τὸν Χαναναι̃ον καὶ τὸν Χετται̃ον καὶ τὸν Φερεζαι̃ον καὶ τὸν Ευαι̃ον καὶ τὸν Αμορραι̃ον καὶ τὸν Γεργεσαι̃ον καὶ τὸν Ιεβουσαι̃ον

- Josué dit: A ceci vous reconnaîtrez que le Dieu vivant est au milieu de vous, et qu'il chassera devant vous les Cananéens, les Héthiens, les Héviens, les Phéréziens, les Guirgasiens, les Amoréens et les Jébusiens: (Ⅱ)

- And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites. (Ⅲ)

- Et rursum : In hoc, inquit, scietis quod Dominus Deus vivens in medio vestri est, et disperdet in conspectu vestro Chananæum et Hethæum, Hevæum et Pherezæum, Gergesæum quoque et Jebusæum, et Amorrhæum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 10 ׃3 ויאמר יהושע בזאת תדעון כי אל חי בקרבכם והורש יוריש מפניכם את הכנעני ואת החתי ואת החוי ואת הפרזי ואת הגרגשי והאמרי והיבוסי ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 11

ἰδοὺ ἡ κιβωτὸς διαθήκης κυρίου πάσης τη̃ς γη̃ς διαβαίνει τὸν Ιορδάνην

- voici, l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur de toute la terre va passer devant vous dans le Jourdain. (Ⅱ)

- Behold, the ark of the covenant of the LORD of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan. (Ⅲ)

- Ecce arca fœderis Domini omnis terræ antecedet vos per Jordanem. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 11 ׃3 הנה ארון הברית אדון כל הארץ עבר לפניכם בירדן ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 12

προχειρίσασθε ὑμι̃ν δώδεκα ἄνδρας ἀπὸ τω̃ν υἱω̃ν Ισραηλ ἕνα ἀφ' ἑκάστης φυλη̃ς

- Maintenant, prenez douze hommes parmi les tribus d'Israël, un homme de chaque tribu. (Ⅱ)

- Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe a man. (Ⅲ)

- Parate duodecim viros de tribubus Israël, singulos per singulas tribus. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 12 ׃3 ועתה קחו לכם שני עשר איש משבטי ישראל איש אחד איש אחד לשבט ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 13

καὶ ἔσται ὡς ἂν καταπαύσωσιν οἱ πόδες τω̃ν ἱερέων τω̃ν αἰρόντων τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου πάσης τη̃ς γη̃ς ἐν τω̨̃ ὕδατι του̃ Ιορδάνου τὸ ὕδωρ του̃ Ιορδάνου ἐκλείψει τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ τὸ καταβαι̃νον στήσεται

- Et dès que les sacrificateurs qui portent l'arche de l'Éternel, le Seigneur de toute la terre, poseront la plante des pieds dans les eaux du Jourdain, les eaux du Jourdain seront coupées, les eaux qui descendent d'en haut, et elles s'arrêteront en un monceau. (Ⅱ)

- And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the LORD of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap. (Ⅲ)

- Et cum posuerint vestigia pedum suorum sacerdotes qui portant arcam Domini Dei universæ terræ in aquis Jordanis, aquæ quæ inferiores sunt, decurrent atque deficient : quæ autem desuper veniunt, in una mole consistent.\ (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 13 ׃3 והיה כנוח כפות רגלי הכהנים נשאי ארון יהוה אדון כל הארץ במי הירדן מי הירדן יכרתון המים הירדים מלמעלה ויעמדו נד אחד ‬ (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἀπη̃ρεν ὁ λαὸς ἐκ τω̃ν σκηνωμάτων αὐτω̃ν διαβη̃ναι τὸν Ιορδάνην οἱ δὲ ἱερει̃ς ἤροσαν τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου πρότεροι του̃ λαου̃

- Le peuple sortit de ses tentes pour passer le Jourdain, et les sacrificateurs qui portaient l'arche de l'alliance marchèrent devant le peuple. (Ⅱ)

- And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; (Ⅲ)

- Igitur egressus est populus de tabernaculis suis, ut transiret Jordanem : et sacerdotes, qui portabant arcam fœderis, pergebant ante eum. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 14 ׃3 ויהי בנסע העם מאהליהם לעבר את הירדן והכהנים נשאי הארון הברית לפני העם ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 15

ὡς δὲ εἰσεπορεύοντο οἱ ἱερει̃ς οἱ αἴροντες τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης ἐπὶ τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ οἱ πόδες τω̃ν ἱερέων τω̃ν αἰρόντων τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου ἐβάφησαν εἰς μέρος του̃ ὕδατος του̃ Ιορδάνου ὁ δὲ Ιορδάνης ἐπλήρου καθ' ὅλην τὴν κρηπι̃δα αὐτου̃ ὡσεὶ ἡμέραι θερισμου̃ πυρω̃ν

- Quand les sacrificateurs qui portaient l'arche furent arrivés au Jourdain, et que leurs pieds se furent mouillés au bord de l'eau, -le Jourdain regorge par-dessus toutes ses rives tout le temps de la moisson, (Ⅱ)

- And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) (Ⅲ)

- Ingressisque eis Jordanem, et pedibus eorum in parte aquæ tinctis (Jordanis autem ripas alvei sui tempore messis impleverat), (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 15 ׃3 וכבוא נשאי הארון עד הירדן ורגלי הכהנים נשאי הארון נטבלו בקצה המים והירדן מלא על כל גדותיו כל ימי קציר ‬ (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἔστη τὰ ὕδατα τὰ καταβαίνοντα ἄνωθεν ἔστη πη̃γμα ἓν ἀφεστηκὸς μακρὰν σφόδρα σφοδρω̃ς ἕως μέρους Καριαθιαριμ τὸ δὲ καταβαι̃νον κατέβη εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν Αραβα θάλασσαν ἁλός ἕως εἰς τὸ τέλος ἐξέλιπεν καὶ ὁ λαὸς εἱστήκει ἀπέναντι Ιεριχω

- les eaux qui descendent d'en haut s'arrêtèrent, et s'élevèrent en un monceau, à une très grande distance, près de la ville d'Adam, qui est à côté de Tsarthan; et celles qui descendaient vers la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, furent complètement coupées. Le peuple passa vis-à-vis de Jéricho. (Ⅱ)

- That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho. (Ⅲ)

- steterunt aquæ descendentes in loco uno, et ad instar montis intumescentes apparebant procul, ab urbe quæ vocatur Adom usque ad locum Sarthan : quæ autem inferiores erant, in mare Solitudinis (quod nunc vocatur Mortuum) descenderunt, usquequo omnino deficerent. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 16 ׃3 ויעמדו המים הירדים מלמעלה קמו נד אחד הרחק מאד *באדם **מאדם העיר אשר מצד צרתן והירדים על ים הערבה ים המלח תמו נכרתו והעם עברו נגד יריחו ‬ (Ⅴ)

3. 17

καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ ἱερει̃ς οἱ αἴροντες τὴν κιβωτὸν τη̃ς διαθήκης κυρίου ἐπὶ ξηρα̃ς ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ Ιορδάνου καὶ πάντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ διέβαινον διὰ ξηρα̃ς ἕως συνετέλεσεν πα̃ς ὁ λαὸς διαβαίνων τὸν Ιορδάνην

- Les sacrificateurs qui portaient l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel s'arrêtèrent de pied ferme sur le sec, au milieu du Jourdain, pendant que tout Israël passait à sec, jusqu'à ce que toute la nation eût achevé de passer le Jourdain. (Ⅱ)

- And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. (Ⅲ)

- Populus autem incedebat contra Jericho : et sacerdotes qui portabant arcam fœderis Domini, stabant super siccam humum in medio Jordanis accincti, omnisque populus per arentem alveum transibat. (Ⅳ)

- ‫ 17 ׃3 ויעמדו הכהנים נשאי הארון ברית יהוה בחרבה בתוך הירדן הכן וכל ישראל עברים בחרבה עד אשר תמו כל הגוי לעבר את הירדן ‬ (Ⅴ)
